Arietta stood on her side of the bridge some magical energy by her finger tips, pooling it. Preparing her first of what she imagined was going to be many summons, her typical opening gambit... no matter the type. She liked to get some idea of what the person was doing, when she had her least information, Ayumi was always the one she used to help her get it.
Then she could make much more informed decisions.
The brunette was summoned without much thought, appearing a few feet ahead of Arietta. Ayumi's face was dripping with panic, instantly being caught up on the situation. "D-Do we have to?" she sniveled, her cowardice and her pacifistic traits a direct counter to.. this. These were programmed traits however, and ultimately doing what Arietta wanted of her was the highest priority programming of all.
"Yeah." she said, nudging her forward. Not with her hands, but by her powers, physically pushing Ayumi forward. "Push her off the bridge, Ayumi." she commanded, eliciting a pathetic whimper from Ayumi as she ran forward.

Lynette was a bit late walking up to her side of the bridge. The scenery of this transformed arena captivated her so much that she wanted to investigate it thoroughly. Catching what little bit of free flowing energy she could, she transformed it into a small book which she held in her left arm. When she finally came into sight range of her opponent, she suddenly felt puzzled. Her eyes spotted two opponents instead of a single one as requested. She wondered if she made a mistake at the registration desk or if it was bring your child to arena day. As if something like that would exist.
"Hey, which one of you is my opponent?" Lynette asked in a stern tone. Harming innocent individuals isn't something she desired and it was in her best interest to confirm information before she took any actions. Though she did find something odd with the brunette that was slowly approaching her. She didn't seem like she really wanted to be here, but she was steadily walking her direction. Something wasn't right, perhaps it was best to ask the brunette what was going on since the other one seemed a bit more raring to go. It didn't matter, Lynette was as calm as could be. The moment she got an answer to her question was the moment she would act.

Arietta smirked, her hands on her hips looking confident and cool.. already enjoying the turn of events. Having more information then her enemy was always a good thing, and she planned on keeping it that way. Arietta and Ayumi moved their mouth at the same time, although different words came out at different times.
"Arietta is." was that statement that came from Arietta. That was all, and she would continue to watch Ayumi closely.
"You're fighting Arietta!" Ayumi said, still gaining ground. If allowed, she would get pretty close.. since literally, her plan was to push Lynette off the bridge. She did it in her adorably pathetic fashion, literally going, "Ahhhhhhhhhh!" and occasionally flailing her hands here and there. If allowed to get close enough, she would literally attempt to tackle the girl. A goofy face that spoke that she didn't want to be doing this, but her body showed no hesitation.

Words flew out of their mouths, but it wasn't the answer she hoped. She already knew Arietta was here opponent but she never seen her face. Not to mention the brunette was still coming at her, this time shouting and flailing her arms. Made Lynette think of a T.V commercial. She wasn't going to get a straight answer from these two so she could only assume that it was part of their strategy. Lynette mind rattled with thoughts as she quickly plotted her next action. The magic within the area was thin and lacking in quantity. She didn't have that many options to take. However restrictions aren't all bad, if anything it forces one to specify a target. In this instance it was the girl standing on the other side of the bridge. However in other to reach her or get a clear shot she needed to deal with this silly girl in front of her. Lynette placed the book she created earlier into her shirt, making sure it was snug and tight. She then began walking toward the flailing girl with arms open wide.
"You seem a little too anxious. How about a hug?" Lynette said with a tiny smile on her face. The rules of the arena didn't state anything about partners or handicap matches. With those thoughts in mind the only thing she could think off is a clone or some sort of summoning. To test this theory, a point-blank Dispel was the best choice. The little one didn't seem that willing to fight despite trying to be threatening in a cute way. If there was anything magical like a connection or possibly manipulation this type of spell will dispel it. The book already provided the means to do it, all she needed was the impact of two flat chests.

Ayumi listened to her words, and to be honest.. they were nice words. A layer of her programming resonating with them, wishing that all times could be hug times.. and not throw people off bridge times. There was a part of her, purposely there, that wanted nothing to do with all this fighting.
She knew who she was however, these words meant nothing to her. These words would only carry the weight of purpose if they came from Arietta's lips. Arietta's words had power, Lynette's words had none. She might like them, but they ultimately were just directionless fluff.
"I'm sorry!" she said, squealing a little as the was finally close enough to slam her weight right into the girl. A quick shift in her position as well, something practically unnatural because Arietta had willed it to be done and so it was done. Her legs twisted unnaturally for a moment, a look of sharp pain on her eyes before attempting to slam hard against the girl's side, in an attempt to knock her off. Arietta was suspecting an attack at the last minute, and hoped that unnatural shift in position would cause a misfire.

Looking closely at the brunette's movements and the unnatural shift in her legs showed that this girl was being manipulated as she suspected. Lynette hit her chest a moment to disperse the book hiding beneath her shirt and with the same motion drew the energy from it to create a smaller book. Waiting until just the right moment she sidestepped the young girl bringing her right arm down a little so the book would collide with her. At the same time she stuck her right foot out in an attempt to trip her. She felt bad about it, but this was needed to continue the match. A dispel was prepared inside of the book, to remove any magical connection she had with the other girl. This would give her a bit of freedom for a while unless she could somehow make another connection with her. It might be better to just tie her up with something, but Lynette couldn't see her as anything else but an innocence.
However, Lynette isn't one that likes manipulation of others. After she was done with this little maneuver and ensuring this girl's freedom she would attack the bridge girl with everything she had.

Ayumi was easily tripped up by Lynette, and Lynette's magic quickly went into work.
At once, Arietta and Ayumi felt like a magical tether.. keeping their sort of magical essence bound was torn.
Both girls eyes grew wide and the sudden realization as to what had happened started to sink in. Arietta was already adapting, fear taking over as she quickly got serious. She had to fix this. She had to re-established the connection, but for the moment the magical tether was the only thing keeping her from bringing out her other summon. At once, her Knight in Flaming Armor was out and place strategically in front of her.
Ayumi however was more dazed at first.. her simple mind processing what had happened. The first feeling she had was the usual guilt she felt whenever she was unable to succeed in the orders she was given. A horrible deep seated guilt. This guilt immediately mixed with a sense of abandonment, one even more so shown by the fact that when she glancd back at Arietta.. her other summon was out.
Tears quickly formed in Ayumi's eyes.. as she pathetically asked for forgiven. Large pools of tears in her almost inhuman looking eyes, visible snot already dripping from ner nose. "Please.. Arietta.. I'm sorry. Don't leave me.. please take me back.." started to cry, curling up in a ball on the floor for a moment, a sharp pain still in her leg that had nearly broken due to the sudden shift. Although Ayumi would quickly pick herself back up and attempt to regain her Master's favor by fulfilling her initial contract.. for the moment she was distracted. Lynette had a moment to breathe.

"Well that happened." Lynette said staring at the flaming construct impeding her path. Apparently whatever connection she had with the brunette was disrupted which she didn't take very well. She stood there crying for a bit like an abandoned child looking for her mother. Lynette just placed her hand over here eyes, trying to get her mind straight about the whole thing. What an emotional battle this was turning into. However the situation enlightened her to this girl's abilities a little. It was clear that she was a summoner that relied on them for offensive or defensive capabilities but she didn't know whether she could use more than one at a time. The brunette was clearly a summoned being but strangely had a personality. Perhaps she was a special one and to Lynette's advantage wasn't currently connected to her master. Not to mention that her new summon was radiating so much energy that she could use it later for various attacks. She needed to draw this battle out a bit longer.
She turned to face young girl as she seemed to have regained her composure. While minding the other girl's and her summon's position she decided to chat the girl up for some information. She may be more inclined to talk with some sweet encouraging words.
"Don't worry your master hasn't abandoned you. I just used a spell to give you a bit of freedom. Sorry for tripping you but you needed to be stopped before your leg pain got any worst. Why don't you tell me your name?"

Ayumi was super confused. This was such a new feeling to her. She listened to the words that Lynette spoke and felt something missing. That top layer, that part that was Arietta. She didn't know what her master wanted her to say. She didn't know what was good. The only part of that which remained was the on order she had been given.
"A-Ayumi. I have to push you off the bridge. I have to." she said, attempting to shakily get up. Tears in her eyes. "I don't want to. I don't want to. I don't want to fight. Please stop fighting. You make us not feel safe. Arietta just is scar--"
"SHUT UP!" Arietta shouted loud enough for Ayumi to hear, instantly quieting her with a squeak. As she did, she directed a fireball from Knight in Flaming Armor, right between Lynette and Ayumi. If the bitch was going to try this.... let's see if she walks into an attack for that stupid.. stupid... thing.
Ugh. Frustration filled Arietta, although she understood what was happening. This newfound freedom of Ayumi's was loosening her tounge, as her own caring program tried to find the way to reach the pacifisim Ayumi desired.. without Arietta's directives to get in the way. In Ayumi's own stupid way, she was still trying to be a good puppet. She didn't feel betrayed. Just annoyed.
At the same time, Ayumi finally got the courage to attempt a second push, pulling herself up. it was an awkward positioning, and she sacrificed any attempt to avoid the fireball to do so. But this position was awkward, could Lynette handle two attacks at the same time?

Absolutely no fear was in Lynette's mind as she stepped toward the young brunette who was charging at her again. Push her off a bridge eh? So that was the first command that was given to her. The fireball was coming closer to her but there was a reason she withheld some of the energy while making the second dispel. It was for just this occasion, there wasn't enough energy to completely negate the attack but there was enough to shrink it. Using some of the leftover energy concealed in her shirt, she quickly released the energy toward the lower half of the fireball. It shrunk its size nearly in half, which sent the upper half barely missing the top of their heads. Within the same motion she held out both of her hands, toward the young brunette. Their hands hit each other, shoving Lynette a little but not enough to make her lose her footing. The two of them locked hands, looking at each other as they pushed against one another.
"Nice to meet you Ayumi. My name is Lynette. No need to get all emotional. Everything will be alright." She said with a sweet voice. She did notice she used the last of her gathered energy to block that attack which would require her to back off a little to regain some. Though it seems that her master who she now knows as Arietta is a bit rattled from the connection loss of her summon. Her attacks were becoming a bit more rash and irritated while Ayumi was becoming more emotional. Trading offense for mental warfare was alright in her eyes. If anything this decision revealed two pieces of vital information. Her summon's name and her masters composure. Two more pieces of information was left. All she needed to do was buy a bit more time to do so.
"KINDA RUDE TO ATTACK YOUR PARTNER IN THE MIDDLE OF A CONVERSATION DON'T YOU THINK? IF YOU DON'T WANT HER TO TALK, YOU SHOULD COME GET HER. IT'S ONLY BEEN A FEW MINUTES AND SHE MISSES YOU ALREADY." Lynette said loud enough for Arietta to hear. If shes going to buy some time, she might as well antagonize her in the process.

Ayumi squirmed her brain grappeling. Arietta's shut up command was vague due to anger, and was taken to mean to stop talking there.. but she had managed to decide on her own that she could start talking again. Not what Arietta intended. "It's not alright Lynette. You're going to try to kill us.. she can't die.." she said, and although it was far from bravery.. there was resistance still in her bones. Resistance Lynette could certainly avoid, since Lynette was a bit stronger.. but something she had to focus energy on. If Ayumi was given a bit of leeway, she would resume following her orders.
Arietta on the other hand, wasn't playing around anymore and the taunting didn't help matters. She didn't respond, but a thousand different angry words were fluttering about her head. Knight in Flaming Armor started to barrel forward, spewing another fireball directly at the two as it did. The intimidating presence was floating forward quickly, and would be able to start being a close range physical presence shortly. Arietta on the other hand, was moving forward as well.. keeping close enough behind her summon to keep in a defensive position.

Now that was a problem, that's a fireball she couldn't block with magic. Locking up with Ayumi didn't help as well. She needed to act now or else both of them will be hissing from their burning skin. Lynette actually took self defense classes when she was back home. Not much, just enough to flip people and misdirect them. She released her right hand and positioned her left foot in front of Ayumi. This tripped her again, but this time she used her hand and momentum to flip her over and land right into her arms. She took off with the young girl, moving quickly to the edge of the bridge. The fireball was closing in on them them quickly with very little time to dodge. Once she got to the edge she did a quick slide on the ground, nearly dodging the fireball. Her feet quickly moved toward the nearest alley. She took a quick look at Ayumi and smiled.
"Don't worry. I'm not going to kill her. You have my word." Lynette said to her. It may be a challenge to do, but that's how she intended to end the match to begin with. If anything spanking the girl is a more fitting ending. For now she has to regain some more energy and then she can commence some sort of offense. Perhaps even get some more information while shes at it.

Ayumi.. as much as she ever could, seemed a bit calm. Now that they had moved away from the bridge, she no longer felt that powerful need to push Lynette off. The command was no longer currently relevant. Lynette's promises were comforting to Ayumi as well, allowing her another one of her panicked feeling some ease.
She still had many of them, was programmed to find things of panic about. She was still feeling a sense of guilt too, for having failed her task in pushing Lynette off the bridge.
"Thank you.." she didn't smile, Ayumi rarely smiled.. she still had that snively little face.. but there was gratitude in her eyes. "Arietta is not bad. She's just upset."
====
Arietta on the meanwhile was following. She quickly realized she would have to run.. really frustrated right now that she was unable to reconnect with Ayumi. She would be able to see through her eyes. Follow them much simpler. She knew she shouldn't have agreed to this fight before gathering Intel on her opponent. She would have chosen her moves more carefully had she known she had the power to sever the connection between her summons. Ugh.
It took all of Arietta's strength to not start blasting the buildings around her. She knew however that it would serve no purpose.. but it would feel good. Getting an idea that she would take the first "alternative" path, an alley that was just to the left.. which seemed to her so "cliche the way you would go" that it seems too perfect.. she had Knight of Flaming Armor turn the corner and blast a fireball down the path. Hoping that she was there to take the hit.
Arietta was fuming.. she.. did not like what she had done. Separating Ayumi from her was.. wrong. Wrong wrong. It frightened in such a powerful way, and not just because of the loss of a tool.

Seeing that the coast was a it clear she placed Ayumi back on her feet in other to concentrate on the surrounding energy. There was plenty of energy in the area but it was so thin and sparse that it was hard to collect. Lynette took some deep breaths. Using the seconds between reps to gather the necessary energy needed to continue the fight. She did notice that Ayumi was a bit calmer and more cooperative but that would only last for limited amount of time. She had no idea if the connection to her master would come back automatically. There was no way to test it without putting herself in harms way. She had to get away from this girl for the time being or get another dispel prepared for when/if the connection comes back. Messing around with this girl has caused her to lose the flow of the battle which she needed to reestablish quickly. The information she needs can't be found with her anyway. She needed to face Arietta head on. A few more breaths flowed out of her lungs and then she was ready to go. She turned to Ayumi, seeing her face still snively from crying. Her hand patter Ayumi's tiny head in an attempt to make her feel better.
"I have to leave you for a bit but i'm sure we'll be seeing each other again really soon. Your master will reestablish a connection with you again and she'll probably order you to attack me again. Don't worry about making her angry and don't worry about failing. As long as you tried your best, that's all that matters." Before she could continue what she was saying, Lynette heard an explosion coming from one of the alleys she just traveled down. Knowing exactly what that was, she took off running the other direction. A bit of her energy returned to her and strangely she could feel more of the energy around her as she ran. The other summon must have disturbed the surrounding energy. However this was a good thing, as she could somewhat pinpoint where Arietta was which to her favor was away from her flame knight. Now was the time to do some spanking.
