Lynette sensed no aggression from her, at least not in a fiery sense like earlier. It was clear that she gave up trying to charge her and it didn't seem like she was going to fire off a shot either. In one wave of her hand she used a bit of her energy to create a bow and aimed it toward Arietta. Using her right hang to create a thin arrow of energy, she quickly fired one at her which traveled straight for her at a rapid speed. If Lynette couldn't get close to her then ranged attacks was the best answer. Of course this would cost more energy to keep up but if she wasn't going to counter attack she could take in surrounding energies between shots. The arrows would be thin, enough to convert to another spell if needed. She would take careful shots each time and if the summon gets in the way she would simply deal with him. She wants Arietta to react anyway.

Arietta took a deep breath as the attack was fired. Her summon was right there, his movements betraying how much she wanted to move him in front of her. He stuttered about, looking pulling between his natural stance and where Arietta wanted him to be. No. The second Lynette started to send the ranged attack, she would quickly have her friend send another fireball at her. Hoping to catch her the moment of release, the moment she would have the least chance of dodging.
Arietta screamed as she took the attack. She was in the end, a bit of a pampered teen who had done everything she could to avoid such moments as this. She was clenching her fist as the sharp pain from the magical arrow, which had luckily hit Arietta high... because.. "what the hell!?" she shouted. "What happened to not killing me?" The wound on her chest was far closer to her shoulder and neck, but Arietta felt fuming. "You do know when you're trying to you know.. not kill people, you don't risk damaging internal fucking organs!" she said. Just.. actually surprised for some reason. That was the expression written on her face, at least the parts of her expression that wasn't.. 'gods above this magical arrow wound really hurts'
"W-What the hell.." she said again, this last time a bit weaker as trust for another person slipped quickly again. Either she hadn't meant what she said or she was going to be sloppy about it. Either way, Arietta no longer felt safe again..

Her words were enough to tell that her attack hit its mark while her attention was focused on the fiery attack that she sent moments after her own. Lynette quickly dispelled her bow, to turn it into free energy once again and combined with some she gathered up created a stream of water that pierced the center of the fireball. This caused the attack to fall to simmer into a huge cloud of steam but not before some of the flames scorched Lynette's shoulders. She clenched her teeth at the pain as the cloud of steam surrounded her. Without missing a beat she blew a stream of wind from her mouth to move the cloud slightly toward Arietta and her Knight. She casually stepped into the cloud to shroud her movements. Confident and calm she continued walking through the cloud as silent as can be.
"What conflicting words are you using? Sounds to me like you are a little frightened now. This is battle after all, fear of harm comes to those that swing a sword or cast a spell. The pain you are feeling is a reminder of that." Lynette spoke but paused for a moment thinking about her sister. How many times she attacked her thinking that she wouldn't retaliate to such a degree that it would make her truly afraid for her life. Then that one fateful day she hit Lynette with a spell so powerful that it would have normally dropped a beast instantly. She barely lived through that. Her sister nursed her back to health, and let her know that she will eliminate her if she ever became a serious threat to her or those she seeks to protect. It was the first time Lynette felt really scared and it was the first time she actually desired her sister's comfort and forgiveness. For a moment, she wanted Arietta to feel the same way she did that day.
"This is the last time I will say this. You will live after this battle. However if you don't trust these words, perhaps I shouldn't be obligated to make it true." Lynette said loud enough for her to hear. She's been safe in this battle for far too long. Perhaps its time to make her feel threatened.

At this point with Lynette, Arietta was pretty much in at a state of complete disbelief. This girl made no sense to her. Arietta considered herself pretty decent at reading people, but she just.. didn't understand. Lacking the visibility to see Arietta's actions as well, she soothed the wound with her healing spell.. trying to keep the fact that it existed a secret.
But that's the thing, visibility might be down.. but it's not like this battlefield wasn't a narrow bridge, and a cloud still made it pretty clear where she was.. in the cloud. Arietta didn't think it was hiding much. Just specific movements. Sure, she could be preparing an attack under there.. but why else make a point of it. Still, she had no plan on making the first move. Arietta might be new to fighting, but she quickly realized that she was lacking something to make a decent offensive. She needed to learn an attack spell of her own. To use her summons movements and force at least slight damage.
That was what she was going to work on the second she got out of here.. although the summons themselves could use some training to. Ayumi needed a way to be physically threatening.. heh.

Lynette sensed no movement from Arietta or any offensive attacks from her familiar. Lynette couldn't see that well but she could sense anything that irritated the magic within her radius. She felt a slight change in the magical energy surrounding her but nothing overly dangerous. A defensive spell? Perhaps a healing spell? She wasn't sure but she somewhat pinpointed the location of where Arietta was. Now all she needed was confirmation. She took off her dress completely revealing nothing but a bra and shorts underneath. Yes, pajama shorts she was forced to wear because her sister wouldn't let her were anything "Grown up". The thought of what she said to her before this match began irritated her a bit but she shrugged it off. She needed to remain focused to end this and with this little tactic she might be able to do this within the next couple of moves.
She gathered some energy from the environment to form a short sword with a very thin tip she would use for another spell later. From earlier events she already confirmed that her summon's communications can be severed or disrupted. All she needed to do now was disrupt the connection enough to where she can communicate with it but it won't respond to her. With her right hand she stuck the sword into back of the shirt near the collar. Using her powers she made the blade levitate, acting as a hanger for robes. Next she moved the sword toward the other side of the bridge, hover just over the edge near Arietta summon. With the fog slowly dispersing she hoped Arietta would see a glimpse of her robes and order her knight to attack it. This would reveal her location and enable her next attack. Lynette didn't have much energy to work with, so she slowed down her approach across the bridge from the opposite ledge the sword was on. She had enough energy to manage one more fully powered dispel to desummon the pet but then she would be forced to retreat for a bit until her energy returned. Lynette biggest flaw was she uses too much energy for defensive purposes. This was something she needed to work on the moment she got out of this match. This match was a great learning experience. If this ends well she would like to talk with this girl again but in a less hostile environment.

It was a good plan. Arietta was legitimately fooled, her eyes scanning into the fog to try to pick out her enemy.. and she did, and for a moment she really did think the floating robes were Lynette. She jumped even just a tad, expecting the shape to charge at her.
The problem was Arietta had already clearly stopped trying to take the first move. She was ready to jump at the sign of a first attack and for a moment she even considered it.. but no. She was playing defensive now. She had been doing nothing trying to push the offensive and it was just not working, and had decided already to just wait for Lynette to finally make the attack. It was just obvious that Arietta had a powerful defense, but was lacking offensive. She needed to try to hit Lynette as a punish.
So.. while the girl had been fooled, it hadn't really gained Lynette much. "Running around in your knickers? You just wanted an exuse to show off to a bunch of people didn't you? D-Didn't work tho'.. not that dumb" she said, slight bashful about being fooled then she was letting on. This girl was some kind of degenerate, for sure.. although Arietta perhaps was a bit jealous in her own right. Something about the girl's.. just way of being stuck in her craw. It was weird.
She still was primed and ready to respond at a moment though. She looked positively tense, prepared to spring to life at any moment.

"Well shit she's in defense mode right now." Lynette thought to herself as she stood still charging some energy. A little more time to rest and recover energy wouldn't hurt. Beside the loudmouth girl just gave away her position. While she could see or feel her she could hear the general direction she was located. Using a very small portion of energy she created a single nail in-between her fingers. Using the knowledge gained from Arietta's voice and assumption that she saw the robes from that specific angle, she pointed it toward an intended direction and sent it flying. Perhaps this would hit it's mark which would be good but even if it didn't this loudmouth might just give her more information to work with. Though since her trick failed she might as well do something with the sword she created. So she made the split second decision to manipulate the sword to drop the robes, point toward the golem head and flew straight for it. The Golem was much easier to locate with its constant radiation of energy. Lynette just noticed that a crowd was watching her match. Something that she never even thought about up until now. Although despite eyes watching her she didn't feel embarrassed about taking her robes off. It wasn't like she was completely nude anyway. After all the battle was where her focus should be, not the audience.

Arietta honestly didn't think giving away her position was all that worrisome. The way Arietta saw it they both knew where the other one was. Lynette was in the fog. Arietta was not. She didn't think this sort of thing would rely on that kind of thing. The bridge limited positional situations like that.
In fact because of the bridge and her own worrisome Her Knight was standing in a position that it simply took both attacks, standing as a firm wall between her and in front of her. Because of that bridge the only real good spot to attack her was from her side, which would force Lynette to get close enough to get hit. Arettia had chosen this position carefully. Anyone attacking from the fog would have to push through him... although that was a strange way to phrase it. Was she expecting other people? Who knows..
Anyway, Knight of Flaming Armor was doing his job well. He was a meat shield after all. That was his entire point. The sword and nail slammed into him, although the nail hadn't struck with enough force to dent, the sword had.. but the summon seemed for the most part unphased.
To be honest, the steam was dispelling. That was mostly what she was waiting for. This stuff seemed to just unnecessarily delay the fight. The girl was trying to be tricky or whatever, but not doing a good job in Arietta's opinion. The match could wrap up once it was gone.

"Tch" Lynette heard the attacks made contact but it hit the wrong target. She wasn't wrong about her direction but the knight was directly in front of her. Strategically Arietta has the advantage and with the steam disappearing she needed to think of an offense really fast. All of this thinking was really getting on her nerves. She's not use to thinking about her actions in such detail and carefully planning her every move. Lynette's been doing this since she got into the match which after a moment it dawned on her. She was acting too much like her sister. Her many conflicts with her sister sprouted thoughts within her mind that her skills were inadequate and what she learned was the wrong way to combat opponents. However as she thought about it a bit she realized that was an unproductive way of thinking. She couldn't defeat her sis because her skills were wrong, it was because her skills weren't polished to the required level to defeat her. There was nothing wrong with her style or way of thinking, she simply had to do it more effectively. Lynette was trying really hard not to laugh and give away her position. She just smiled, more than she every did before.
She used some of her energy to create a board-like structure in front her. It was similar to those snowboards she saw on T.V that one time. Lord knows she never rode one before but the best think about her magic was it was only limited to her imagination. Jumping on to her new device she used her powers to make the board fly straight off the bridge. "Hoverboard bitches" She said as she fly it toward Arietta's location. She picked up some speed, and created some straps around her feet to keep her balance. The mist was clearing up toward the right side of the bridge, thus Lynette's movements would be shrouded up until she is right on top of her. Her first intention was to grab Arietta and take her for a little ride. Hopefully things worked out this time but even if they didn't Lynette was too happy to care.

Arietta watched as the last bit of the steam finally started to fade. She had to give it to her, she knew how to take every last bit of it.. but it seemed a bit desperate at that point. What more could she possibly do..
And she wasn't there.
Panic started to fill Arietta, and her head turned... to her left, towards the bridge. Towards where Arietta assumed would be the most correct way of striking. It was the way Arietta was expecting eventually, it was where... made sense. To Arietta's left was where she had expected an attack. It was the foot path to her. Then, once she saw that way.. she twisted further still.
Behind her? Arietta was always the type to watch her..
Lynette would have her opening. At this moment she could grab Arietta. However, the second Arietta was conscious of herself being picked up, the Knight of Flaming Armor would strike. With how much Lynette would naturally have to slow down to pick up such a weight, ramming into the weight, or any sort of carry.. Lynette would have to deal with the attack.

Lynette was now in position to grab the young little thing, but first she would have to deal with that knight. With the snap her fingers the thin tip of her blade that pierced the knight earlier, melted away into a smallest version of dispel that she could possibly create. There wasn't enough energy in there to sever it's connection but it was enough to slow his movement by quite a bit. It was like a tiny little poison seeping through its body. Any counterattack made by him would appear slightly slower than intended and it's young master wouldn't even know it. She came in low toward Arietta and while her hands were positioned in the correct way she scooped her up right into her arms. Just before she took to the air the giant attempted a punch toward her general direction but he was a bit too slow to connect the blow. Once she got to the respectable height of about 100 feet from the ground she hovered over the ground with the young Arietta still in her arms. One arm holding her legs while other supporting her back. She looked at her with a smile, one from a feeling she couldn't even describe.
"Looks like you're second girl I swept off her feet today. Ready to call this quits my dear or would you prefer to fall to your doom?" Lynette said glancing at the ground below. She was more than willing to drop her. However she did promise Ayumi she wouldn't let her die. So in the event that she did drop her from this height, she would have to do some daring rescue attempt moment after. Oh the joy of giving people Ultimatums.

Once they started gaining altitude, the struggling simply stopped and our daring little princess stayed calmly in her kidnapper's arms. Her breathing a bit quick, her body temperature just a bit warmer to the touch.. the little demon was embarrassed but docile with fright. The hands that had just been trying to break free were now clinging to her tightly, although there was a nervousness to her touch that spoke to her fright.. as if worried she might put too much weight on this girl.
She turned her head slightly, her face turning a shade or red it had grown quite accustomed to over the evening.. the same shade of red she had turned once Ayumi had started blabbing stuff.
"Yeah.. f-fine.." she said, her tone and face somehow managing new stages of embarrassment with every letter. She was extremely shy about the fact that she had made quite a large fool of herself in front of everyone right away, and more so then ever wanted to hide in her hole now.
"Y-You made a mistake too you know.. we're still above the bridge.. if I wanted I could drop Ayumi down there, let her crash into the bridge for me, then s-swap spots with her." she said, still quite the pouty one.. and looking more and more flustered about having to grip to this half dressed magician. "I.. it's not worth it. I.. I obviously could delay this forever, but you're.. l-like a roach." Her hands would cling to her a bit tightly after insulting her, as if worried she would drop her right then and there.
Her eyes closed, her swallowing what fragile pride she had left to try to utter something else.. but quickly found not the strength to do so.
M-maybe once she was let down.
