The NES Unification Team (NUT) is an effort built out of the desire to end the animosity, trolling, flaming, and perversity that has taken our site (more specificaly the c-box) and made the site a bad place to be. As a group, it is our group of regular members (mods can be a part of this too) committed to keeping things clean, mature, and on topic. We feel that he direction the site is headed is not desierable, and we are determined to make the change.
As members, we hold ourselves to a specific standard of conduct. We will pledge to abstain from trolling, flaming, or vulgarity. We pledge to try and neutralize those who are flaming or creating negativity, and to do so with a positive attitude. We pledge to support the moderation staff in maintaining order and follow the rules, and ourselves promote following the rules to fellow members. We pledge to show respect to every member, under all circumstances.
Our goals for the site are to see it thrive as a place for mature discussion of Nintendo, video games, and occassional general discussion. We strive to turn around the attitudes here, and to create a large concensus against trolling, against flaming, and against vulgarity. We strive to eliminate attitudes, and have all of our members be respctful of one another. We strive to make this an attractive community to all prospective members who seek fun, engaging, intelligent discussion and a respectful and friendly community.
All are welcome to join in our cause and our effort, either officially or unofficially. One does not need to be part of the group or movement to be a positive contributer. One that does hold our ideals and goals may identify themselves under our banner. Joining us officially by posting in this thread, or jsut ask me if you see me online :)
