Chapter 2: Forces of Darkness

[Rorschach]

Souryaku slept...he had a long day after taking care of Geno...He then had a dream.

The exact same dream except 2 people were killing everybody. He then woke up and checked the note

Steele, Zero

Sour didnt know who those people were. He was tired and didnt know what to do. He decided to take a walk outside when he noticed that two people were fighting.

Sour: well I havent been able to test out this staff and the man in blue armor needs to learn a lesson in manners.

Sour: I'm in this fight too...might as well kick both your a**es at once.

[ManOfSteele]

Steele suddently sensed that MM had finally posted, and was now in the Darkwood Forest.

Steele: Sorry bout that, but I have somewhere to be.

Steele warped out of the room

Zero: Now just a minute--

Steele was already gone.

Steele warped about 10 yards from the opening in the forest where MM had set up his camp. Steele took out the hologram that Crehavos had given him. The person in the camp and the person in the hologram matched.

Steele(thinking):Ok, this is him....

MM heard faint rustling as if an animal moved.

MM:better not be them damn beetles....

MM covered his mouth, then his right eye witha cloth.He returned to the fire and picked up his sword.

MM:Better stay back, beetles...your species was decimated!i can kill more!

MM put his sword on his back and his stone in his pocket.

[MM,Steele]

Steele spoke still consealed in darkness

Steele: Put down that rock, it won't do you much good...

MM: And who are you?

Steele:....I'm the thing that goes bump in the night.

Steele exited the forest into the light of the fire.

MM:You.... Steele... What happened?

Steele:Lots of things. Although, unfortunatley I do not have the time to tell you. I was sent by Lord Crehavos... He has a message for you

MM:.... Well, what's the message?

Steele: See ya real soon

Steele unsheathed his sword and dashed towards MM, aiming to chop off his head.

MM:What the hell?

MM quickly dodged the swipe but it clipped his arm leaving a scratch.

MM:Whats your problem?!

MM drew his blade that glew with a light blew like the snow in the winter.

MM:Do you even know who your dealing with?

Steele swung again and MM blocked the blade with his own.

MM:I dont want to have to kill you steele!

MM pushed him away and took out his small stone.

MM:And i dont want to have to use this...

"Unfortunatley" Steele repiled "I have been told to show no mercy" Steele began to charge up lightning in his right hand. He smashed his hand against the ground and shouted "Lightning Current!!" The ground tore up around Steele, sparks of red lightning flying from all the cracks in the ground. The electricity was heading quickly towards MM. MM quickly jumped up in the air to avoid it. Steele raised up his hands and pointed at MM. Instantly, the lightning in the ground shot up towards MM.

The lightning struck MM with great force and sent him into a tree.

MM:Steele....why.....

Before MM could think, andother bolt hit him through the tree into another.

MM:Stop...before i kill you.....

Steele:Kill Me?Good luck with that!

MM was hit again.

MM:Look into your heart....see what your doing to an old friend....

Steele:Old friend...exactly! OLD friend!

Another bolt rushed at MM when he slashed it away with his sword.

MM:This has gone far enough...my attempts to heal you of your darkness has failed...The next resort is combat!

OOC:Sorry if you didnt like me making Steele talk....i was just making it so MM wasnt talking to himself a lot....

[Dark Pyramid: Snicket, Mr. Game & Watch, Yoshi, Veronica, Snake, Amaya, Doom, Zel, Brooke, Ian, Ike, Ucria, Agahnim]

A strange woman, glamorous in a dark sort of way, appeared out of the shadows, carrying a staff remarkably similarly described as the one Agahnim held(OOC: Cell, ya stole my sapphire! ). Although it was impossible for Snicket to tell for sure, it seemed to him as if she were on their side.

Agahnim laughed deeply, the sound echoing throughout the Room of Rites, as he held up his sapphire-topped rod, and his figure began to shimmer. The red-robed warlock's figure then separated into three identical replicas, which solidified into the exact same figure to either side of the magician. Then, from each of the sapphires, blue orbs of magic spewed forth, sending the party into action.

Snicket did not see what the others did to avoid the magical attacks, but he personally dropped down to his hands and knees, the surging energy whizzing close over his head. He crawled forward, under the alter, hoping the Agahnims wouldn't notice. Then, staring at the bottom of the center Agahnim's robe, he leapt out of his hiding place, swinging his Super Hammer horizontally so as to trip the sorcerer over. However, his hammer did not harm Agahnim's feet at all, for they reverberated at the last moment off of an invisible barrier which rippled as it absorbed the blow.

Bob looked up sheepishly at the face of his target which was contorted with irritation and fury.

"Um...hi...."

Meanwhile, the Room of Rites had been turned inside out, all sacred dedications of the chamber's holiness ignored. It was no more serene than a chicken coop with a wolf in the middle of it. People ducked, dived, or dodged an almost constant barrage of blue magic balls from the Agahnims. Green eggs hurled blindly toward the magicians from Yoshi, and Snake was hiding behind a corner, hurling grenades which sometimes disintegrated uselessly in the magic balls, but other times exploded chaotically behind the Agahnims. Ike and Mr. Game & Watch both were creeping around the sides, intent on ambushing their opponents. Doom threw spikes, Zel, Brooke, and Ian all attempted magical attacks of their own, but all merely glanced off the barriers protecting the Agahnims. Veronica pulled out a weapon of some kind (OOC: Big Boss should really step in here; I have no idea what she can do) and charged at the Agahnim on the left, while Amaya caused light to concentrate into the shapes of two shining blades which she swiped at the Agahnim on the right. But still, their attacks could not penetrate their shields.

Ucria remained calm, and [insert Cell's action for Ucria here].

[Darkwood Forest]

MM jumped off the tree as another bolt missed him. He jumped to the ground and landed next to Steele They exchanged quick sucessions of sword blows, all being blocked, or missing. The two of them jumped backwards. Steele rushed foward again and thrusted out his right hand, which was electruciting with Red Lightning. MM swung his sword, but Steele ducked and grabbed the front of MM's shirt. Steele began to electricute him, and then punched him away with his left. MM's shirt was smoking where Steele had grabbed him. MM rushed back in with his sword and slashed away. MM managed to land two quick blows to Steele's right leg and upper chest.

Steele jumped back, clenching the cut on his chest. This guy isn't gonna be easy to beat

OOC:POST NUMBER 3000!!!

MM bent down, clutching his burn. This guy's tough...he hits hard...

MM:Steele....ever wonder why i always have ad my right eye and mouth covered?

MM rushed at steele but was blasted away with a bolt of lightning. MM stood back up.

MM:It has its purposes...ill tell you only if you want!

MM slashed with his sword, barely missing steele. With a quick movement he punched Steele with an uppercut to the face.

Steele:The more you hit me, the angrier I become!The angrier the stronger!

MM:Anger doesnt make strength...its the amount you try!So i can take you down!

Steele pulled off that same move, darting, electrecuting, then punching away MM.

MM:argh....

MM stood up and clutched his burn which was slowly getting worse.

MM:Really though...i have this cloth....argh...for a reason!

OOC: Just a note, Steele wouldn't brag about how tough he is. Such as "The more you hit me, the angrier I become!The angrier the stronger!" or "Kill Me?Good luck with that!" Just for future reference, he would not say stuff like that.

Steele was intrigued by MM's mysterious clothing over his face. However, he knew better than to walk into something ugly. Steele knew that he was tough, the best thing to do now was to end it now since Steele still had the advantage. "HhhaaaaaaaaaAAAAAA!!!!" Steele shouted. He held out his sword in fron of him, the tip was pointing at MM. "Sacred Sword Technique Number 5!!!" he said slowly. He held his sword, as though he was about to pitch a baseball. "HAA!!" He chucked the sword aiming right at MM. Just before the sword hit MM's chest, he sidesteped and the Sword plunked into a tree behind MM.

MM thought Good now he's defenceless

Steele reached onto his back, where he kept the sheath to his sword. And swung the same sword out of the sheath.

"What the!!??" MM turned around to see that the sword was no longer in the tree. "Very Cleaver, warping your sword like that"

"Why, thank you" Steele nodded "It's always admirable when an opponent on the battlefield compliments your fighting techniques"

[Rorschach]

Sour notices the man disappear...

Sour:hmph, screw this.

Sour walks right back into HQ and thinks.

Sour: what should I do, why am I even here, should I leave or should I stay? Actually i'll stay for a while.

Sour walks into the hospital to see Geno laying awake.

Sour: How u doing?

Geno: Im fine I just need rest

Sour: Geno I dont know why I am here, I delivered my message and now I feel useless.....should I leave?

Geno: well your here because of me but why did you find me?

Sour: I found you because I was supposed to go to forever forest.

Geno: Why did you have ot go Forevor forest?

Sour: Because....OMG THE NOTE!! thx Geno but I have to go do what I have to do. Bye

Sour ran out of the hospital to look and began asking people for a man named Zero. The people said Zero was the man in blue armor.

Sour eventually found the man and walked up to him

Sour: Hey you, I just found out I was supposed to kick you a** after all.

MM:But now its my turn...

MM slid the part covering his right eye down to reveal a completely blue eye as compared to his dull greye ones.

Steele:A blue eye?

MM:you dont know what i can do with this...

Steele sent a bolt of lightning at MM and MM dodged as if it were nothing. Then 5 from all diferent directions, all dodged.

Steele:What the hell?

MM:this eye is the Hawkspirit eye. It sees things before they happen. so i can see what your doing... As long as he knows that im not perfect with it...im fine

Steele:Dodge this!

Steele created a HUGE ball of lighning and he slammed it to the ground, sending millions of sparks into the air. The sparks then all launched at MM. There were so many it was like a dome was closing in on him. MM took out his blade and sliced away a hole in the dome and dodged. A few sparks hit him, giving small cuts on his arm.

Steele:I see your skills arent perfect!

MM:Damn....he really has moves.....

{SSS HQ Underground}

Deeply submerged underneath HQ I stay, within the chambers of my mind, physically resting my body while struggling to remember who I really am and for what purpose do I exist? Digging thu the deepest parts of my mind I still can not find the answers I seek. Could this? The SSS? be the truth that I seek? Or is the SSS just another artificial existence?

smashbro looked around, everyone else seemed to have left and went to do their own thing, aside from Misami and E. Gadd. smashbro now stood nearly alone (aside from those two) in the lobby of the HQ. Only then did he realize that he was standing on a table, which had probably led to no one staying. smashbro sighed.
"Guess I'm not used to being so active," smashbro said to himself. "Gadd."
"Yes?" Asked Professor E. Gadd.
"You're here to help me protect the HQ, correct?"
"Yes, i'll do anything."
"Could you check around this building for any defence systems? On the computers in here, you should be able to find what we need."
"Alright," Gadd replied, and went to work.

"Misami," smashbro turned to the young girl. "I don't know who you are, but you are definately special, and if you could, could you use your powers to help us protect this building?"
Misami just blinked, and smiled her little girl smile.
"I'll take that as yes," smashbro said, now smiling.

smashbro turned around, and suddenly stood face to face with Madame Clairvoya, who floated in front of him. She had been found in the

"You will likely need the help of them all though, but that is not what may be troubling you most? You cannot split yourself like you are, if you want true results, you must make a choice of your priorities, and decide not which will give you the most benefit, but which will leave you least saddened." smashbro could then tell she was gone.

and even though she never said anything specific, smashbro knew that she knew his knowing she knew what he knew would have the knowledge to tear him apart, and it was (knowingly) doing so now.

"Now," he said to no one in particular, putting his knowingly bad thoughts aside, he did not want to be troubled by personal strife. "I have to go to the Dojo real quick, and find everyone else who is part of the SSS." smashbro then drew up a list of those who should be there, including: Pit, Tetra, Toon Link, Young Link, DK, Diddy, Ness, Lucas, Ice Climbers, Roy, R.O.B., trainer, Mewtwo, Pikachu, Pichu, Fox, Wolf, Meta Knight, Captain Falcon, Luigi, Marth, Peach, Daisy, Smashbag, Mario, Bowser Jr., Black Knight, Waluigi, Wario, Jigglypuff, Falco, Wario, King Dedede. "Let me in a computer," he told Gadd.

smashbro got onto one of the laptops, and put in his username (smashbro) and his password (K*******) and then searched for the status page on those characters. They were all at the Dojo as of a couple hours ago (the program wasn't very reliable, as it only checked them in once in a while) and Ness was the only one online.
"smashbro?" Ness asked, opening the chat page.
"Yes, we need you to come to the HQ, fast."
"I don't know, something is preventing us from using the portal here."
"What is it?"
"Not sure, Mewtwo's been working on it. It would take too long though to walk there, any ideas of how we can make it there soon? Why do you need..."
"We are going to be attacked."
"Oh." "Well then, contact me when you can, I'll be waiting. Until then, good luck."
"Bye."

smashbro got out of the chat room, and turned to E. Gadd.
"Most of the defences don't work anymore," Gadd explained, "but one will let us know when they are 1000 feet from stiking distance of the HQ, so we will know when they are coming. I'll look for more." Gadd turned to his computer once more.

"alright," smashbro said, once again to himself. "All I have to do is make sure everything turns out the way it was meant to be. Even if they can't get here in time, maybe the HQ was meant to fall. But no, I don't think so. I can't think so. I feel like Snicket. Almost like we swapped places. I'm even starting to write more, like he does. Whatever that means, why did I say that?"

smashbro then turned to see that someone was walking towards him, looking eager to do something.
