Chapter 2: Forces of Darkness

[Naked Snake II]

GEO: Okay I'm coming around now. I think I know where you guys are. (click)

Geo closed his eyes and concentrated on his surroundings. He began to scence a group of powers to the west of him. He figured it was the group of SSS. He began to walk towards that way. Getting closer and closer.

GEO: Hi guys

Everyone turned around.

SNAKE: Where did you land?

GEO: Not far I was in some gloomy town-square..This place seemed deserted to you guys?

SNICKET: Beginning to wonder why?

GEO: I donno. I'm getting bad feelings all over. thats what I'm saying

VERONICA: I haven't seen anyone either..But at the same time, I feel like were being watched.

SNAKE: I can't shake off that feeling as well

GEO: Same. So Snicket..What are the plans?

Soon after they began their long trek down the heights, however, a lone figure came up to them, one they well recognized. Geo had rejoined them.

GEO: So Snicket..What are the plans?

Bob shook the legendary Devensian warrior's hand with respect. "Geo, is it? It's quite the honor to meet you. I daresay you're the most experienced member of the SSS here...and now that Zelda is gone, we have no real guide. So technically, you have more authority than me. But the general plan is to reach that pyramid..." Snicket pointed towards the great temple-like structure far below and away, at least several miles. "...and get the Niluck Stone back from Agahnim as quickly as we can before something terrible happens at the HQ. Of course, something bad already has happened, but we don't want it to get any worse, do we?"

Snicket glanced briefly at the rest, and at the trail ahead of them. "But we have quite a journey ahead of us; it should take us most of the day (as far as daytime can be measured below this perpetual darkness) to reach our destination, but that's no reason that we shouldn't engage in friendly, productive conversation along the way."

Yoshi smiled and moved near Snicket. "Wow, you really have changed, Bob. The arrogant, anti-social prick I once knew is truly gone."

"Thank you for that, Yoshi," Snicket replied. "But anyways, as one of the newer converts to the SSS, I'd like to build a relationship with each of its members personally. I feel we should not only be unified in purpose, but in knowledge of one another. Who knows, it may prove useful one day in the future. So, Geo, what's your story?"

As he spoke, they resumed their arduous journey down the mountains, not a single dark world enemy in sight so far.

(OOC: does anyone mind if I change the title? Separate Paths seemed a little redundant. )

[Naked Snake II]

As the coalition of warriors walked along a trail in the mountains towards the pyramid, everyone was socializing and oddly enough seem to be having a good time and getting better friends with all.

GEO: Well Snicket. I'll tell you my whole life story since it seems to be quite the journey ahead of us. I just hope I don't bore you.

SNICKET: It's okay, I like stories anyways. Do carry on.

GEO: Right, well as you know, I am a Devensian. A race of humanoids from the planet Carvenia. My father and mother were both well-respected warriors of the Devensian Imperial State. Both served as the King and Queen's royal body-guards and General of certain legendary factions..Now that I've thought about it, my whole family seems to be a line of good warriors. Well anyways, my parents quickly soon after my birth died in a massacre leaving me behind with my parents closest friends a sweet couple of Islophothians (neighboring country and race) where I grew up until I was about sixish. I was shipped to a high-class academy of warriors where I met my best friend. You know him as Kin. Ever since, we've done everything together.

SNICKET: Um..Geo. Can I ask about the massacre...Like what exactly happened?

GEO: ....Well, there was a power struggle between the imperial family and the Devensian Minister, a power hungry, sinister, manipulative man. His name was Claudius. He hired a bunch of powerful bandits from all over Carvenia to wreck havoc and cause a mutiny in Devensia. My parents both stayed loyal to the King and Queen and fought to the death. After the massacre, Cladius knew about my birth and wanted a massive bounty on my head since I was a massive threat to him. They couln't find me until I was eight, by then I already knew everything and grew enough power to be able to fight them off.

SNICKET: And wanna bout that legendary blade you carry along with you? How did that cross your path?

GEO: Spathi? Spathi is the most powerful weapon ever created in Carvenia. Created from Kategia directly, the King of the Devensian gods. Spathi was also known as the Blade of Heaven and the Saint's Bane. So how I got it. Well Spathi picks out certain warriors to carry it around. If the chosen one tried as much to lift it, Spathi would drain the user's spiritual powers and kill them instantly. So in one of my adventures as a youth with Kin, I stumbled upon the blade and yaa.

SNICKET: Wow..So if I tried to use Spathi, I'd die?

GEO: Basically...So what's your scoop Snicket?

[Doomflame]

{Dark World: Epic}

Epic entered the darkworld. He had just finish his last job on assasinating a governor in some deminsion. What he got in return was a free pass to any Dimension he felt like going to. He chose the Dark World cause the people(or whatever they are) pay good money. Epic went traveled some distance before he saw a castle. It was evil looking, with little goblins out in front. "should i raid it?" Epic thought. He went into view of the goblins. They charged at him.

Epic: hey, i'm just here for the Rum.
Goblin: whakdhokdad!
Epic: so is that a yes, or a no?

The Goblin got out a club and bashed it on Epic's head. It broke on impact. Epic grabed the huge goblin at the other goblins. Then he smashed his sword on all of them.


Epic went inside the castle.

Snicket listened intently, fascinated by Geo's sad but remarkable past.

GEO: So what's your scoop Snicket?

Bob cleared his throat. "Well, other than what I said after the Great Battle? There's not much more to it, but for those who haven't heard..."

"Yoshi wandered into the Earth world and found me where I'd been orphaned, my house's burning remains behind me. I won't go into details on what we did together, but that's the basic lowdown." "Anyone else up for storytelling?"

As they talked, they finally could see the bottom of the plateau in the distance which lead to the huge barren plain.

[Naked Snake II]

Geo looked on ahead at the massive wide plains. He stared down a path slowly until it met with the horizon.

GEO: Alright this can be good and bad.

SNICKET: What's up?

GEO: Good part is if we are to be attacked we'll see it coming miles away. Bad part is, there's alot of room so incase this Agahnim had some vast army, he can get us easily. I may suggest we go at a faster pace incase of an attack.

SNICKET: Wow. Good points there Geo. Everyone hear that, were gonna speed up and at a constant rate until were out of the plains.

Suddenly the Dark World seemed to get darker.

GEO: What the- I thought it was night-time already..It's still getting into night-time now.

LGN: The way I see it, at this rate it'll literally get pitch black outside around midnight.

IKE: Should we have some sort of light going? Everyone get out anything we can use for light.

Snake pulled out two flashlights from his backpack.

IKE: ...anyone else?

The rest of the party looked at each other.

STEELE: Hey if one of the flashlights run out I have a battery.

SNAKE: These bad boys carry double-A.

STEELE: Ya..oh wait (looks at battery in his hand).....Crud this is a triple-A.

GEO: Is there something flammable around here? I'll cause something to burn. Here let's stop here quickly and get some torches made so there ready.

The party looked around looking for a tree of some sort.

GEO: ..Oh right, were in the plains....Hmm... What should we do to make torches?? You know what? Forget it we should get going. Two flashlights will have to do. Now Let's head out.

The party began to run towards the other side of the plains

[Cell]

[Ganondorf, Zelda]
[Hyrule Castle]

This was deja-vu to it's fullest. The Princess of Hyrule was yet again bound within her own castle, helpless to do anything at all. A very eerie silence covered the room, and the only noise was the heavy storm there was outside. And finally, the King of Evil sat on the Hyrulean Royal Throne, smirking... waiting.

Waiting for the Hero of Time to try to save his dearest Princess once again. However, that would be the end of this repeated event. This time, the Hero of Time would fall at the hands of the Evil King. That wretched boy had defeated him time and time again, always crushing Ganondorf's plans. Breaking it into little, tiny pieces.

Ganondorf, being gifted with the power of the goddesses, along with the very essence of the Devil himself in him, there was no way he would lose this battle. Not here... or ever again.

"Why are you doing this, Ganondorf?" A small voice spoke up from the energy bound prison she was held in. "Don't you ever get tired of world conquest, and killing others?"

The dark shadows in which the Dark Lord sat grew darker still. His deep, slow laugh rang out through the throne room, and all of Hyrule.

"My dear Zelda, don't you see? I have been gifted with power far beyond even that of the goddesses. I have been given another oppertunity to prove myself, and rule this world." The glowing symbols on his right hand flashed a bright white for a moment, and the King of Evil's eyes grew red. "This will be all the end of all the people... who have ever walked the face of the Earth..."

Ganondorf began laughing again, his so bone chillingly cold, you could swear your heart froze over, and for a moment... death had begun taking you away to eternal slumber...

{LGN, Doom, Snicket, Geo, Snake, Veronica, Yoshi, Mr. Game & Watch, Ike, Amaya, Zel, Brooke, Ian, Steele}

LGN: I know this is a weird time to now be telling a story, I'd like to tell my tale.

Snicket: *breathes in and out* Ok LGN, what is your story?

LGN: Well I'll have to admit it's not anything like Geo's or Bob's, I'm not a godlike being that was an ultra powerful being or someone who has had much hardship, but has been helped or fought against many Nintendo characters. My story shouldn't be known until 1000 years from now, and it actually is a tad similar to their stories.

Doom: 1000 years, doesn't that mean you're from the future?

LGN: Yep. I lived in the city of New Springs on planet Zeus, which is located right next to Earth *others scratch their heads* it's not there yet, but it'll be there. Anyways, I lived a normal life in high school with other aliens: I was a star on the cross country and track teams and I was training to make it to the Galatic Olympics.....but then I was nearly killed along with some of my friends in a shooting outside of school. I was nearly killed...and those that were with me died on the floor next to me. After major surgery I've been advised to where this helmet other my head....and it's not like I can take it off ever!

Yoshi: How do you eat then.

LGN: You don't wanna know. However, after I returned from the great battle involving Blank I was devestated to find my home town completely in full scale war versus an unknown force. I'm not going to go indepth on it but the war isn't over....who knows when it should be over.

Ike: Aren't your comrades worrying about you?

LGN: Yeah, but they'll get by. See I was assigned to the worst regiment in the entire military. We weren't the worst soldiers, but we were given to kinds of missions. The ones that are dumb and degradding, and the ones that are nearly immpossible. I remeber the whole team. Tyler, a former student like me and was an exceptional Capitan. Zach, altough he's changed a lot over this war I can't help but smile when I see him and his partical robotic body clearing the way with his outstanding flying skills. Did I mention he had a wise cracking penguin side kick too? The Blind Bears regiment consisted of many characters, good and bad, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

Geo: I think I met one....wasn't one named Taylor?

LGN: Yeah....heck he's probably fighting right now. I'd tell you a story or two if you wanted, but I think now isn't the time for me to tell too much about things that won't affect the present.

Snicket: One question, why are you here?

LGN:........

[Doomflame]

Epic walked inside the eerie castle. Instantly i giant goblin with a huge axe jumped out infront of him.

Goblin: grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Epic:....
Goblin: rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Epic: ROAR
Goblin: EEEK!

The Goblin brung his sword high into the air but Epic sliced him up instantly before the goblin made impact.

Epic: Fat little *BEEP*

A key dropped from the goblin. He went to the door infront of him and used the key. It opened to the outdoors, and there was a Giant Boor infront of him.

Boar:Grrrrr
Epic: SHUT UP!!!
Boar: Eeek!

The boar kneeled down and Epic went on top of him. "This seems kinda familiar," Epic thought (wonder where XD).

Epic road the boar and knocked down some towers with people on it who were firing arrows at him which had no effect. They eventually saw a door and Epic went in it. some knight came up to it. another one appeared behind him.

Knight 1: My armor is harder then steel
The Knight charged at him and hit him sliced Epic in the head. the Sword shattered on impact.

Epic: MY SKIN IS HARDER THEN DIAMONDS NOOB

Epic whipped his huge sword from his back and sliced the knight. he accidently sliced the knight behind him without knowing. A Big treasure chest appeared out of no where.

Epic: wtf?
Epic kicked the chest and found a big key.
Epic: cool.

Epic adventured around and entually saw some huge doors. He used the key. And in there he saw...


Epic: mother?
: I'M NOT YO MOMMA B**** I'M TEH KING OF EVAL.

[SSS HQ]
[Bowser, Dark Samus, Alex, Dobs, Nhalini, IOY, Kiru)

Alex looked at the battles raging, all the chaos and energy spread across.

Anyway, he noticed that Bowser and Dark Samus were both already fighting IOY and Dobs, so he decided to just cut the army. He started by running and then became to roll into a cartwheel, when he set his arms and feet on fire, making a fire wheel, which plowed down dozens of goombas and koopas.

Alex then rolled out of his cartwheel and turned to Nhalini,

"Now would be a good time to help out" he then nodded his head at Petey Piranha "See?"

[Mariomasher]

{MM}
[SSS HQ]

MM was alone in the hall.

MM:Whered everybody go?

MM looked around and he turned and saw a dark portal.

MM:Im pretty sure Portals aren't in the HQ...or not supposed to be...

MM walked over to the portal and then there was a tug. Not from an arm but from energy.

MM:It must be collapsing...

MM moved into the portal and he was sent into a spiraling cross dimension. He was spewed out into a dark world.

MM:what in the world?

At a healthy, steady pace, the group of 15 progressed across the spacious field full of dead grass and barren earth. Doom was just silent, keeping to his own thoughts. LGN seemed to be thinking about the question Snicket had asked: Why are you here? Geo walked next to Snake and Veronica, who were exchanging concerns about Kin. Ika and Amaya were also quiet; the cat-like girl seemed very shy, but comfortable around the warrior. Zel, Brooke, Ian, and Steele were gazing ahead of them at the seemingly small looming pyramid. Snicket's companions included Yoshi and Mr. Game & Watch.

"So, how's life?" Bob asked Mr. Game & Watch.

"Flat," the 2-dimensional Brawler replied.

They were now approaching the single stream separating this side of the field from the side that connected to the pyramid. A wide stone bridge curved across it. The dark orange tinted clouds above scrolled slowly by, swirling in places into odd designs. A slight sense of urgency was still about them, as they weren't sure what was going on back at the HQ, or how much time they had before it was too late.

But as they neared the bridge, suddenly a row of small, domed creatures with blood-red spikes protruding in a circle at the top burrowed out of the ground before the bridge. They spinned menacingly and rapidly, and abruptly surged towards the heroes. And considering the ones coming from all other sides as well, it was apparent these were enemies without number.

"Leevers. A slight drawback," Snicket commented, drawing out his hammer.

[Doomflame]

{Ganondorf, Epic, Zelda
[Hyrule Castle]

Epic: Who are you?
Ganondorf: The King of evil. Ganondorf. Why have you come into my castle you fool.
Epic: um...looking for a job
: You can't work for him!

Thats when Epic noticed the chick in a prison.
Epic: who's this chick? your slave or something.
Zelda: Such atrocious words! I am princess Zelda!
Epic:....right...princess...keep dreaming babe.
Zelda was d**n right mad.

Ganondorf: What makes you want to work with me? Do you understand the circumstances here?! You weakling.
Epic: 1. money. 2. not really and 3. who is the one with the sh***y army?

Ganondorf: *evil laugh* you got some spunk. What is your name?
Epic never gave his client his real name.
Epic: umm, Jackie Chan.
Ganondorf: alright Chan just guard the "supposedly" guarded gate when you killed my men.
Epic: finnally some work!
Zelda: NO! You can't do this!
Epic: I'm a mercenary. tis' what i do princess-wanna-be.

Epic marched all the way down the castle (took forever). and stood bye the huge gate.
Epic: i smell someone headed this way now. better be prepared.

Sword out, epic thrusted the giant blade into the ground, waiting...

[Cell]

[Ganondorf, Zelda, Link]
[Hyrule Castle]

The raging storm grew fiercer still, and the horrid chill that it brought continuely poured throughout the castle. Ganondorf was still a bit curious as to who this mysterious person was that asked for a job.

Obviously he was using a fake name, Ganondorf could tell easily. He did not seem to be a very big threat though, if this one were to turn on Ganondorf. He might as well let this one be, and wait it out to see if he is one to trust or not.

Just then, Ganondorf heard a loud crash and a scream. Hurried footsteps followed this and someone very familiar stepped into the Throne Room.

Ganondorf rose from the Throne and smirked at the boy that just arrived. "Ah, you have finally arrived. You had no trouble getting past my guards and my new henchman I see..."

There stood the Hero of Time: Link. Clad in his traditional green tunic and hat, with his shield and Master Sword and that ready. There was a look of absolute fury on Link's face, darting his attention to and from Zelda and Ganondorf.

"This has gone too far this time, Ganondorf! You're reign of terror will end today for good!" Link yelled. Epic had ran into the throne room behind Link, saying to Ganondorf, "He got past me when I wasn't looking. But... uh.... it seems you've got this handled. See ya..." Epic walked out of the room slowly, leaving the Triforce wielders to their confrontation.

[Bowser, SSS people, Dark Samus]
[SSS HQ]

The SSS HQ was in ruins; the building was broken in numerous places and beginning to collapse a bit. The fields were on fire, with large crators in them here and there. Thousands of unconcious or dead people were scatter about the grounds. Out of all the chaos and destruction, only two people stood.

IOY and Bowser stared at each other, both badly wounded and panting hard.

"Why... do you not... fall?" Bowser asked, sounding almost desperate.

"It's because my body and soul refuses to go down, at all costs. No matter how much it protests, it always continues to go at it..." IOY stated.

Bowser's mouth twisted into a faint smile at these words. He said, "Well... you seem to have gone further and beyond your usual limits... Your body and soul... are finished."

As soon as Bowser stopped speaking, the almighty IOY gave a small grunt of pain, and ultimately fell over... moving no more.

[Realm Between Dimensions]

As the Hell King floated in this vastly empty void, he noticed something peculiar going on at his castle. He saw that Evil Kin had come back, somehow caring someone who looked to Kin.

Seeing this made the Hell King overjoyed, finally having one of the three brought back at last. Crehavos also noticed though that Evil Kin seemed to be looking for him. Crehavos closed his eyes and another phantom of himself was created. It brought itself to Hell to speak with Evil Kin about whatever it was Evil Kin needed.
