Well, that's true. Obviously we have some issues to work out. But to be honest, and this is going and saying something about someone that I do care about.. most if not all of the NES hate had nothing too much to do with the fact that we had some different types of people and how the NES people flooded that c-box one day.. but was in fact because of basically well...
One member. One member on ToFs who is really against NES and really just keeps on promoting such a hate. He's a good guy, but I feel like his experience here has just given rise to a monster.
That being said, a merger when so many people on ToFs seem to have mixed feelings probably won't work right now. But I don't think we should close any discussions about it indefinitly, we should keep the line of communication about a future possibility open.

Okay.. ~tOFs~ I think already decided not to fuse. I'm sorry. Maybe if one day they feel it is okay it can happen. Just.. push the idea to the side for now. Look, some of members said they believe people will leave. I can't take that chance. D: Personally, I would combine. But that's being selfish. 1. Predicted 2. i told you i thought some would leave and you said lets still ask 3. Like Dobs... not knocking TOFS but.... you know as well as i do that there is a shitstorm of drama queens that only say that stuff to either get attention or to see if you will bend over backwards to get them to stay...and you always do  |

Right now...this whole merger crap is the ONLY thing on my mind. The polls all are leading towards a merger and the comments are all against. So I figure I should give my full thought on the pros and cons. This will be posted on both forums at the same time. Pro's[/u] - A much larger community
- A more diverse group of people.
- More room for creativity, and new ideas to open up (Emil is ALWAYS coming up with some epic idea for tOFs)
- A more active staff (The staff on tOFs could really teach the staff on NES a thing or 2, myself included)

[/u] [/li][li]Our communities are constantly at war with one another [/li][li] The different atmospheres could cause major problems [/li][li] The merger of the forums can easily result in the loss of members on BOTH sides, this is inevitable [/li][li] If the forum dies in the process of the move, or anytime after, this would mean that NES is takeing down a nice and decently active forum along with it. [/li][/ul] These are only ideas that come to mind. There are pro’s and con’s to each decision as we have said before. Thing is, change is in the air, I can feel it. Whether the merge happens or not, both forums are bound to be carried off by the winds of change. This is why I am unable to find myself not in favor of this merger. Because something is bound to change, good things will happen, and bad things will happen. Why avoid the inevitable? Both forums will one day fade out and die, as much as I don’t want to see it happen, this whole idea is a risk….it may either strengthen the life of both forums, or fade out completely. Whatever the case, lets just leap forward into the future, and take it on….one thing at a time. |

Okay, can you stop being a meanie about this plox Mama? o.o Honestly, people are still talking things over and stuff, and yet because YOU think we should stop then everyone who still has something to talk about should suddenly stop talking? There is alot of positive talking and yet you call things stupid? Angel doesn't think what is going is stupid at all. I think even if certain people have negative feelings about it, people in general still have the right to say what they wanna say. |

Right now I'm leaning towards no, but I've got to look over the site. I mean, i wouldn't mind the two combining, but what would it be called, if we want to focus on smash and tales. tales of smash? (Why does that sound decent to me?) If a lot of members have joined, then I could see that reason.
Anyway, if we do combine, I could see new members for an RP

I've been to ToFs a grand total of five times, and only briefly skimmed around without talking to anyone. As such, I'm not really qualified to say whether or not we should join. However, I do need to know what would happen to the RP if we decided to go ahead and do it. I'd be a tad bit upset if we had to completely revamp our plans for the Main to include an equal measure of Tales elements, since we're basically just polishing in some finishing touches now. We could always have two separate Mains I suppose...but that's basically what we have now.

Yeah with this close to the finishing line i WOULD NOT allow anything to happen to the RP everyone has worked so hard on. RP would continue as-is. Possibly some cross-training of their RP staff so each RP has extra people to help out in a jam but that would be it. |
