[Subject: Hunter] [Infection: Semi-Dormant] [Location: Somewhere in Hyrule] [Days Infected: 1.5] [Days Since First Infection: 4]
"I told you, we don't have any money!" "That's some kinda bull there buddy. You got them fancy silver clothes, you gotta have some money. And if ya don't, I can take it out of your pretty little friend there after you're outta the way..."
Joseph and Zoe were being stopped in the middle of the road by a man with a short, but plenty sharp, knife.
"You wouldn't take what money we had. It's useless in this place, but it's all we got!" The highwayman licked his lips. "You got yer pretty little girlfriend there... So what's it gonna be, one-eye?"
Joseph's face darkened as he stared unblinkingly at the man seeking to violate his girlfriend.
"Zoe, stand back, don't look," he said in a low voice, "And don't listen."
The boy sprang at his attacker, and it was over in seconds.
Blood coated his hands and mouth once again. The man lay dying on the path, breathing his last breaths through punctured lungs. He cleaned himself off with the man's overcoat, and kicked his soon to be lifeless body into a rut at the side of the road.
"We'd better go. It's only a matter of time before someone finds the body."
And he led the trembling girl past the corpse of the highwayman, hopefully towards something a little better.

[near Lake Hylia Great Bridge] [Gavin]
He was walking along the path, thinking of his last visit to the castle town. He was thinking about how the town was reminiscent of the castle town in Arkraydia. About how, in his last visit, he had found out that Kiri was here, and looking for him. He wanted to avoid her for now. He wnted to explore this land, Hyrule, as it was called. He knew that Kiri would drag him back to Arkraydia. But his thoughts were interrupted by a putrid stench. One that a person from the battlefield would easily recognize without a thought. The stench of death. Of a freshly rotting body.
He traced the source to a body laying in a rut on the side of the road. It was about 2 minutes old. But wht really piqed his interest was the wound. A bite mark. He had read about zombies once when he was little. How only the weapons of the Four Rulers could kill them completely. He knew what to do. He pulled off one of his swords, held it abvove the mans heart, muttered an imcantation, and stabbed down. That would ensure the body would not return as a zombie. But what still remained was the killer. If he really was a zombie, he must be stopped. Gavin took off, flying down the road, parallel to the ground.

[On the Great Bridge] [Halith ka' Ahel]
The wind ruffled her feathers as she peered out over the stone guards of the bridge wall, at the vastest lake she had ever seen in her life. It was mesmerizing. She vowed to herself that she would learn the name of this... vast body of water. That is of course if she could forced herself to ask the people of this new world. At least she was pretty sure this was a new world. Staring out, for once she was glad that Valji, her half warra friend had forced her to learn to swim by dunking her into the small washing river... multiple times. Though she wanted to kill and maim Valji for always tripping her and throwing her into the water, Ahel realized how to at least float and move, throughout one of the many times she floundered her way to shore, whilst being dunked by Valji.
"~Sigh~ Sometimes I wish I could go back to those days..." Ahel whispered to herself, not realizing that her thoughts had been spoken aloud, "though I know I can't... I wish I could see Valji's face at the sight of this... ocean I think". She had no idea how she had actually come here, but well here she was, and there was no going back.
Ahel broke out of her trance like state when one of her feet slipped and almost sent her tumbling over the edge of the massive stone bridge. She jumped back, and landed with a hard thud right on her small tail feathers. "That'll teach me, I guess not to look over edges when I can't truly fly...", Ahel muttered to herself,"even more so when its into a lake that large...". Picking herself up, Ahel looked and took the light grey, pulsating floating orb in her hands, feeling a bit calmed by its nearness and forgetting her near fall.
As she walked off of the bridged she felt a little pang of sadness that she was leaving behind the "ocean" and put her hood on as a little precaution. Gazing on the ground as she trudged along down the road from the great bridge, she stopped when she smelled something very strange... no, not strange almost familiar or similar to the smell tha... Gfluren... the menri that was found nailed and rotting to a tree near the washing river. It surprised Ahel and she looked up and saw a body in a rut...

[Alpha-Manganell] ~Nearing the bridge~
Sunset! The best time of day. It was the only time of day that reminded the Cuy'Val Der of Mechanus... the only thing they had to remember it by. It was by far the most beautiful time of day, and it resonated with all Inevitables.
Staring at the distant light, Alpha-Manganell strolled lazily along a hill, his pace taking him closer with each step to Hyrule castle town, a place he longed to visit. His limp hindered him, but not as much as one would expect, as he neared the famed lake of Hylia, the first major way point along his long walk.
Of course there was the major problem of Alpha's fear of heights, something the boys back on Mechanus had never actually fixed, the lazy bums.
Taking a position in the dead center of the bridge beneath one gate, Alpha spied a pair of people coming his way, and a knot grew in his stomach. If he remained where he stood, they would suppose that he was stopping them, and possibly attack. He had no knowledge of a target around here, and thus would be near defenseless against their attacks. However, if he moved then they would suppose he was trying to ambush them. That is, unless he moved towards them, in which case he ran the risk of falling off the bridge. Granted there was little actual chance of that happening, but the fear remained nonetheless.
Frozen with uncertainty, Alpha took a shaky step forward, then back, tilted his head upward, and looked at the sunset again. Damn his irrational phobias. Damn them.

"You okay?" "Just... Just shaken up..." "You sure you're okay?" "YES, I'm sure... just let me be for a little bit..."
Joseph and Zoe had reached a bridge over an enormous lake. They had been running for about three minutes. He thought that they were safely distanced from anyone who had happened across the corpse, but he wanted to be safe. Across the water waited a form of safety. Between them and the other side, however, stood two seperate figures. A small, feathery form, and a... Well, he wasn't sure what the other one was. Looked a bit like a human made of clock bits from here. Things were very strange in this world indeed.
And it was about to get a little stranger.
"Hello up there."
Joseph and Zoe turned to see an elegantly dressed man with two swords approaching them.
"How the hell... Did he... keep up... with us?" "Have either of you seen- Oh. There you are." "There who is?" "The zombie who killed the man earlier. It was you, wasn't it?"
Jospeh motioned Zoe backwards as he crouched lower, not quite on all fours yet.
"What should it matter to you?" "Well, say you were..." the man's hands tapped the hilt of one sword, "You'd have to pay for crimes against those who we call holy." "How was defending myself from a highwayman an unholy crime?"
The newcomer became somewhat confused looking.
"Defending... He attacked you?" "The dagger wasn't mine. Do the math." "So... If you fought in self defense... Why did you attack him in such a manner?" "Instinct, I guess... I wouldn't have fought a few days ago... We would've tried to run." "Then how is it instinct?" "Do you see me? I'm diseased. Something's wrong with me. I may not be undead, but I'm sure as hell some sort of zombie." "Then you still have some explaining to do. You don't look like you two are from here. Where are you from?" "You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

Gavin: "Ok ok, no need to get mad."
He stepped back, preparing a Bind spell if it was needed. He could tell that the zombie was protective of the girl. This one probably killed that man in her defense. It was one of the more noble ways of death.
Gavin: "I ask that you be careful who you kill, and cut their head off so they cannot come back."
Gavin noticed the two on the bridge. One looked like a birdperson, the other...
!!!
It reminded him of that machine Armani released onto Arkraydia. The SKAIBLAYD, designed to destroy Arkraydias military. He drew his swords and aimed the right one at the machine.
Gavin: *In a slightly evil tone* "Do you know that person?"

Zombie? That wasn't a word that Ahel recognized, but it must be important to the conversation that is going on. She was curious, but well wary, humans had suddenly appeared only a short distance before her, and she was unsure what to do and there was the matter of "zombie". "At least it seems that these humans don't seem to be paying attention to me..", Ahel muttered under her breath, unaware that once again that she was speaking her thoughts aloud. Cocking her head toward the humans she listened intently, trying to figure out exactly what was going on and what a "zombie" was, wondering whether or not she should try to flee, before they turn their attentions on her. Not that they would for certain, but it was a possibility that she couldn't shake after her life in Emerilon.
"Should I... flee? no that would only attract attention...", that thought ran around in her head, tangling with her fear and dislike of humans, for what seemed like an hour, but was actually a minute. The answer came, she had to stay, and if necessary fight or else she'd must likely get herself into deeper trouble. Ahel sincerely hoped that she wouldn't have to fight... that these humans would be different from the ones she had known... and she was a bit hungry and tired from walking, not in a condition for hard fighting.
She slid off the road, hoping that the the humans in front wouldn't notice her and kneel down on the cool, and slightly damp grass. Ahel let go of her orb so that it hovered just above the ground and concentrated. She channeled the emotion of serenity, concentrating on the image and memory of her mother and her sitting together, enjoying each other's company to focus though she was nervous. Slowly she spun the emotion into a thread.
She could only make about three threads before she was broken out her concentration by a voice from one of the humans in a tone... that Ahel did not like at all..
"Do you know that person?"
Ahel turned, it didn't seem to be directed at her from what she could tell... but she saw a newcomer, someone standing in the midst of the bridge. She shiver a bit, it felt like everything had become serious. At least she would be able to defend herself... she hoped that is

And, of course, he was oblivious.
Standing anxiously at the end of the bridge was Alpha-Manganell, hunched over and staring down the bridge, more concerned with his lack of courage than the people who were around him.
Letting off a puff of steam, he reached his decision. He was going to get to Hyrule's castle town, and by god he was going to cross this bridge!
Drawing himself to his full height, Alpha tilted his head back slightly and began to march, brushing past the bird person he hadn't seen at all and marching right down the bridge, without so much as looking at who was and was not on it, and paying them no mind at all.

"No, I don't know that person. If you do, he's your problem. I don't have time to work out problems of nobility. We don't even know where we are!" "Near Lake Hylia's Great Bridge." "Never heard of it."
Joseph turned to look more carefully at the now-approaching metal figure, being careful to keep this man with the swords in his line of sight. It wouldn't do to die now. He had to protect her before he could die. He saw the bird-person almost get trampled on as the figure walked past it, and he decided this would be a good time to find a better vantage point. He leapt up, landing in the crown of a nearby tree.
"Holy shit!"
The lake was significantly larger-looking from here... it also looked much deeper. And the metal figure strode further across the bridge...

As the machine drew closer, Gavin noticed that it was not made of the same material or design as SKAIBLAYD. He sheathed his swords, knowing that this being had no connection to Armani, SKAIBLAYDs creator. It actually looked as if it was made of gears. Gavin had never seen such a design.
Gavin: "Oh, nevermind. I mistook him for another."
Gavin then continued south, across the bridge. He stopped to look down at the lake, admiring its depth.
Gavin: *in thought* "Damn, that's gotta be at least half a mile deep."

The orb pulsated, and shifted into a darker grey, that of steel. The figure on the bridge had begun to move toward the end of the bridge... where she was kneeling. As it came closer she noticed it was made from metal.. with strange shapes, almost circles but with a jagged squarish edge, that were not familiar to her eyes. Though truth to be told she was new to the world, and had not seen a great deal, so maybe such shapes were common. It was fascinating to her to watch this person, it seemed somewhat like a human, but made from metal... she had never heard of such a thing, or even knew that it could exist.
Even though she was fascinated, she didn't take to kindly to being brushed by a human, or well what she though was a human... even a metal human. She couldn't truly help herself when she blurted out with a little hiss, "Watch where your...". Ahel clapped her hands to her beak before she could finish the sentence. It was an automatic reaction for her, and she hoped that she wouldn't regret it. At least she hoped that the stranger would pay it no mind. Ahel's stomach growled, "I want to get out of this so, I could find or get something to eat... spitted lizard sounds good..", she thought half mumbling it .

Honestly Alpha Manganell hadn't even noticed that the bird person had said something to him. It meant little to him, because right now he was busy crossing a bridge above an astoundingly deep lake, but the walls that hid the lake from view actually helped him quite a bit.
It was when he neared the people already on the bridge that it happened. Routinely (about twice every half-hour) Alpha's left arm gave off steam. This was something he'd become used to, something he had learned to deal with. But when his right arm gave off steam, there was something going one.
Peering down at his weapon arm, he confirmed what he had suspected. Pistons and gears within his arm had begun to come to life, churning and spinning, their lives breathing back into them with a soft sigh of air and a metallic grind as his systems fell into place. The crossbow on his arm snapped into place, although it was more for decoration than anything else, and the blade on his left arm slid into an armed position as well. He could feel his Inevitable core charging, restoring his magic to him as well- and all this meant only one thing.
One, or possibly all, of the people on the bridge was something they should not be. Currently, from this range, he had no means of identifying them, but when he neared them, he would know them and their crimes.
With this thought in his mind, Alpha-Manganell stomped forward, his sense of fear erased and replaced by an overwhelming sense of duty.

Something was off. The construct had sprouted weapons, and was heading with new purpose straight towards the fancy-dressed newcomer.
"Oh great..." "Joseph?"
Zoe was attempting to climb the tree. He quickly leapt down, and put her on his shoulders. Leaping back up, he said, "Stay here," and leapt onto the bridge. Landing just behind Gavin, he leapt once again, landing between him and the construct. "So... You notice the weapons on this guy or what?" "Yeah." "Just makin sure. I think this guy might want us outta here." "I would care about that because...?" "Do you see this guy?"
Joseph turned back to the clockwork man.
"So what's goin' on here, gizmo guy?"

Note: I am keeping a timeline for Gavin, Kiri, and Armani. Kiri is trailing Gavin and will enter the thread in 5 posts. so...
//!!Warning!! Callenger Approaching: Kiri Arkana, 5 posts//
He turned around fully, looking at the robot. Gavin knew a battle was inevitable. He drew his swords.
He held his swords Shien style, taking defensive. He stepped in front of the boy.
Gavin: "You two stay back."
He also noticed the boys friend in the tree. Better be wary of that, he thought. His blades burned with bright red flames.

Weapons? There wasn't any provocation, no words, only... a look. It made no sense it Ahel's mind, but she wasn't about to question it, after all these were humans she supposed. Why should she get involved in a human's fight anyways, it obviously did not concern her or else these humans would have turned weapons on her. Though she was relieved that the metal "human" didn't seem to notice her at all, even though she had called attention to herself.
Actually she was really surprised and confused that humans were fighting each other... they appeared so unified against her own and the others kind in Theyl, that she had never seen them, or heard of them ever pulling weapons on each other... It was curious, at least to her that humans would fight among themselves, and maybe a bit... well stupid.
"Running away would just make me a target or at least an accidental one. At least by staying still I can avoid the fight all together" Ahel figured, "How long can this fight last anyway? ". Besides it would be interesting to see humans fight each other, though she was placing her bets on the metal human who had drawn his weapons first. Looking up from her orb, which she had been staring into while thinking she saw... flames... encircling twin blades. Ahel's body went cold, as if her blood had turned to ice in a instant. The orb turned to a darker shade of grey
Fire... was... no... is... "Lilthe ka' flireth..."
