Chapter 4: Shattered Sanctuary

Steele had electrocuted both Kin and Snake off there feet to the ground...both of them wincing in pain.
"Ughhh.....Snake..you OK?" Kin said as he picked himself up Kin walked over to Snake "Yea...I'm OK" Snake said as Kin helped him up. Steele was a lot stronger then the two had thought.

"He wont get away with that one, let alone back stab us all" Kin said as he ran over to Steele, then he slowly crept up and grabbed him in a choke hold. "So we are corrupt? huh?" Kin sad as he pointed his gun at Steeles head"Geo thought of you as more of an apprentice, trust me he has been a great friend of mine for about 16 years." Kin said as he looked at snake and signaled him over with his C4, he quietly handed it to Kin. "Think about what you have done, you broke our trust that we all have had to you, and also if we have treated you so badly in the SSS, then why do you side with a demonic leader who beats his own commanders?...well?" Kin said in a quiet stern voice, he then gently put the c4 on Steeles back.

Steele then pushed off Kin and teleported away, but snake was behind him with his grenade launcher, he pulled the trigger BLAMO!

Steele was blown in the air, then followed up by "Now!" As snake also detonated the C4 KABOOOM! Steele was sent flying further in the air. Kin looked back at snake and they both nodded at each other.

Then they Both got back in a fighting stance ready for what Steele would do next.

[Sour, Evil Sour, Eiron]
[Sour's mind]

Sour sprinted towards his dark reincarnation. He lunged his body at Evil Sour with full force until suddenly Evil Sour wasnt standing in front of him anymore, he was standing behind him. Evil Sour grabbed Sour and flung him into the tree. Sour flew at a high speed and smashed into the tree.

Sour noticed that more darkness was spreading across the once grassy field. Sour grinned and used "swift stick" on Evil Sour.

"Is this the best you can do?" Evil Sour asked.

Evil Sour was dodging all of the jabs with ease. He suddenly caught Sour's staff, lifted him up and smashed Sour onto the grass. Sour got up. He coughed up a little blood but wiped it off.

"This is what you couldve been if you stayed with Donin," Evil Sour explained.

Sour grabbed his staff from the grassy floor. It was in bad shape. He had enough energy for one last move.

"Spear," Sour whispered to himself.

Sour whipped the Staff straight at Evil Sour. The speed of the staff was incredible. What wouldve been barely visible to the naked eye wasnt hard to see for Eiron. Suddenly, Evil Sour stuck his palm out and pushed his hand into the staff coming at him. Evil Sour managed to block the hit easily.

Suddenly the staff broke in half. It too was at its prime just like Sour. Sour dropped to the floor unable to move. Darkness spead throughout the land and all the beautiful grass had died and burned. Everything was destruction, everything was the Sour that nobody needed to see, everything was burned.

Suddenly, Eiron stepped forward.

Snicket and the others watched in horror as the fragmented demons continued to move, with or without limbs and heads. He felt a chill run up his spine as the haunting laughter of the undead shrilled in his ears. Nearly falling over after pulling his leg away from the wounded demon, he stowed away his hammer and flexed his gloved fingers. It was time for a different tactic.

The cloaked boy raised his arms as if about to conduct a symphony orchestra. He focused his mind on the task at hand, narrowing his eyes in concentration, and, next thing, his righthand glove was now black.

Really one of my more elaborate illusions, Snicket thought as he directed his apparitions' movements. I must be getting better at this...

Then, descending from above, a shining formation of heavenly soldiers made their appearance, bows drawn. They were Palutena's special Centurion force, complete with golden helmets with wings, tunics, and sandals on their cherubic forms. The individual angels in and of themselves did not seem that threatening--but with over a hundred of them flocking together and diving with a courageous battlecry toward the demons, they seemed to the fiends to be a force to be reckoned with indeed.



Bob had remembered to not include Palutena since most of the enemies knew where Crehavos's highest-ranked prisoners were held, and that would give away the angelic charade. But he knew if there was one thing all creatures of hell feared besides Crehavos, it was the pure light of heaven and its sinless guardians. He had even added, for effect, a number of illusionary demons to their own ranks for the sole purpose of making it appear that the Centurions were doing real damage. Blue arrows whizzed down and struck these imaginary demons which exploded in a false brilliance; some Centurions dived down and slashed at their substance-lacking forms, lobbing off heads and the like. Perhaps I overdid it... Bob considered. He watched as the real demons, most of which were wounded, were too unintelligent to notice the additions to their ranks, and, seeing what appeared to be the merciless slaying of their own numbers, turned around and fled toward the portal from whence they came. Most of these were injured in some form or another, so it was a scene of panic and chaos: loose arms inchworming along the invisible surface, headless demons running into each other in confusion, others hopping on one foot or pushing each other aside in a mad rush for the exit. Nah, Snicket concluded.

A few of the demons, however, including their bulky leader, did not flee, opting to press forward and come into close contact with Diddy Kong and Banjo & Kazooie. Bob himself, concealed by his Cloak of Invisibility, crept surreptitiously to where Arceus was chained down--the only place not being overrun with attacks--and leaned against the great deity casually so that he could continue to orchestrate the Centurions' blitzkrieg while keeping an eye on the Dragon Yoshi's clash against Giratina.

Dragon Yoshi beat its leathery wings as it circled Giratina, firing occasional blasts of fire. The Renegade Pokemon deflected the projectiles with its tentacles, rotating itself to follow the green beast's movements with little to no effort. Then, the air began to distort, and forming in the air were large boulders which Giratina had summoned using Ancientpower. As of if their own accord, they flung themselves at their target.

Dragon Yoshi sped forward and rammed the frontmost boulder with his head, shattering it into hundreds of smaller rocks. Two more came from either side as he did this. Reacting instantly with the instinct of a beast, Yoshi rotated the entire length of his body, punching the left boulder with his claw as he spun, and smacking the other with his spiked tail. But yet another came up from below, and as Yoshi noticed the incoming threat and attempted to dodge, it crushed into his left claw, essentially crippling it.

The dragon bellowed in pain. And as if that weren't enough, Giratina followed up with a vicious Slash attack against his side, leaving three deep gashes in the scaly flesh. Yoshi tumbled to the ground, no longer in control of his flight path.

His yellow eyes looked up to see the giant Pokemon emitting a swirling stream of blue Dragonbreath. At the last moment, he tilted his green head up and let out a flaming stream of his own. The two attacks collided, contesting back and forth, neither gaining an advantage over the other.

Dragon Yoshi's knees shook with strain. He did not know how long he could hold this. He closed his eyes, the energy steadily draining from him...

A huge blast of blue-white energy pushed into Giratina, toppling the Pokemon over onto its side with a mighty crash. Wearied somewhat, Yoshi looked over to see Samus still holding her arm cannon up, smoke drifting out of the weapon. She cocked it and prepared for another round.

Pushing himself with effort back into the air, Dragon Yoshi did the same.

Steele was flying through the air after that nasty C4 attack. His eyes were closed and he was barely concious. When he came two, he was shooting downwards through the air. The first thing that he saw was an upsidedown Giratina getting blasted by Samus.

He regained his composure and flipped around. "Samus...." he whispered. He wraped himself in his cape and disappeared. He reappeared in front of Samus right after she had fired that nasty blast to Giratina. Before she had time to react, Steele had grabbed her arm cannon.

He held it for a moment. Samus tried to wriggle free and blasted Steele in the process. The hot blasts hurt Steele, but he held his grip. He let go for a breif second, but the instant he let go, his other fist came down uppon the arm cannon as if a hammer. CRRACK! The Chozo cannon had a large crack going right down the middle.

"There we go...." Steele said.

Samus recoiled, and quickly glanced at her arm cannon. Steele stepped back a bit, and warped back to Kin, Snake, LGN, and Dobs.

[In a currently unoccupied part of Zel's Ship]
After landing on the ship no one had seemed to notice them, so they took this time to rest before introducing themselves.
"Huh?" Kirby said drowsilly, before noticing Diachi.
"I'm not exactly used to a lot of things going on here, so can you try to fill me on on some of it?" Diachi asked.

Kirby knew most of the people on the ship, so after explaining as much as he could Diachi felt he had to ask; "When should we introduce ourselves?"
"After we've had some rest" he answerred before going back to sleep.

Eiron looked down at Sour, his face emotionless. “Is that really all there is? Has the fire of determination been snuffed out so effortlessly? Can darkness blind the light that guides you with such ease?”

Sour slowly climbed to his feet, standing shakily, his eyes hard. ”No.”

An edge appeared in Eiron’s voice, his words swelling in volume. “Can the iron mettle of your resolve be shattered by the dull edge of mindless adversity? In this arena of the soul, would you bow down to the whims of your own demons?”

Sour gripped his staff, straightening himself. “No.”

Anger flashed across Eiron’s face, and his voice boomed across Sour’s mind and ears. “Then slay the darkness within you and cast it forever from your mind! Make your stand, or fall and be devoured by your own shadow.”

While Sour was still on the floor, Eiron was still in Sours mind and the random portal appeared in the middle of the ship, one man wasn't informed of any of this.

Suddenly, A short man in a green hat and overalls stepped out of the bathroom, adjusted his hat and pulled his mustache.

"MaMa Mia!" Luigi yelled. "You do not want to a go in there!"

Luigi stared around at all of the mishaps continuing on the ship. He decided to walk back into the bathroom.

[Sour's mind]

Sour had a fire in his eyes, passion in his heart and a burning spirit. He wasnt ready to give up just yet.

Sour dusted himself off, looked at Eiron and nodded his head.

"Hmph," Sour spat. "This was fun but...I have to get back to the real world."

Evil Sour tried to grab Sour but soon realized that Sour was standing behind him. Sour used "Circle of Doom" on evil Sour and hit him directly in the stomach.

"How did...."Evil Sour muttered.

"Everything you can do, I can do," Sour spoke with confidence.

Evil Sour teleported behind Sour and tried to grab Sour but Evil Sour's hand went through the immobile body.

"Time to end this," Sour whispered to himself.

Sour flew from the air onto the ground, grabbed Evil Sours staff, used "Swift stick" on Evil Sour to push him into the tree. Then, He used all of his might and STABBED the staff into Evil Sour's stomach.

The light and comforting aroma of the grass began to return. The tree grew more leaves and the world that was once a peaceful area was beginning to show signs of life.

Evil Sour couldnt move. He was binded to the tree and he was too weak to move his arms and pull it out. Sour smirked and laughed.

"Lets try this again", Sour explained. "Spear!"

Sour whipped the staff at Evil Sour. The speed was incredible and the impact was going to be deadly. The staff flew right at Evil Sours head and as soon as it impacted, everything broke to pieces like a mirror breaking after being hit by a hammer.

Kaemon stood watching silently. He checked Sour's heart rate frequently and muttered the words "wake up" every once in a while.

Suddenly, Sour flew up standing straight. Kaemon was ecstatic to see Sour was happy. Sour stuck his hand out to Kaemon.

"Its good to see you man," Sour spoke.

Kaemon shook his hand, then reached in to give him a hug. Tears rolled down his eyes.

"Didnt this happen the other way around last time?" Kaemon asked curiously.

Sour and Kaemon laughed together. They noticed that Luigi had recently just walked out of the bathroom. They walked over to greet him.

"...Hows Mario?" Sour asked. "Does he still remember me?"

"Mario has a kingdom to run, I dont think he remembers you not a so well," Luigi explained.

"Well give him my best regards," Sour finished.

"I wont be going home for a very long time," Luigi spoke.

things were silent. Sour and Luigi were staring at each other. Kaemon was confused by the two. He didnt know what history they had in the past and how they felt about each other now so he said the first thing that came to his mind.

"So how about you join us Luigi?" Kaemon asked happily. "I think it'd be cool for you guys to catch up anyways."

Luigi adjusted his hat and nodded. Kaemon had to use the bathroom so he excused himself.

"NO!" Luigi screamed.

Kaemon walked back out of the bathroom with looking petrified.

"I told you that you didnt want to go in there," Luigi explained. "I had just finished using it a minute ago."

[Hina]
Hina sighed it had taken a lot of time to get to this place by water and now she could not find anyone to fight or talk to. Most people would think that she might be lost Hina saw it differently. In her world people didn't get lost everywhere else did instead. "I don't know why I made that stupid portal " said Hina "it caused nothing but trouble for me."Hina wished that she could undo the last few weeks but she couldn't so finding someone would probably be the best idea so with that in mind she set off. She then saw a few people in the forest, "I wonder who that is"she pondered before walking over to meet them.

The majority of the demons were now fleeing for their damnable lives, scurrying leg and limb into the portal to Hell. The golden Centurions of Palutena had them on the run, Bob Snicket secretly directing it all from beside Arceus. But what he did not notice was the head demon creeping up behind him, murder emblazed in its bloodshot eyes.

Dragon Yoshi soared head-on into the recovering Giratina, clasping onto it with scaly green claws. Tentacles and limbs interlocked in a very physical brawl, a clash of strength and leverage. Twisting around each other, the two massive creatures wrestled with each other, wrenching about and attempting to gain the upper hand.

Yoshi managed to dig his head under Giratina's striped underside, and with a tremendous heave, lifted his head and neck upward, flipping his enemy completely over like the semi truck in The Dark Knight. The Pokemon quickly recovered, however, and was soon back for more. It raged at him with a combination of Dragon Claws, Shadow Claws, and Slashes. The dragon dodged some of them, but others connected with him, leaving deep scratches and gashes.

Giratina backed away from its assault, and then charged again, flinging itself onto Yoshi in a Body Slam. This time, though, Yoshi anticipated the attack, and before the deity could connect with him, he spewed out a particularly large ball of flames at Giratina's underside, while its tentacles were raised and unable to protect him. The Pokemon was blasted backward onto its back like an overturned centipede.

Dragon Yoshi proceeded to leap miraculously into the air with a great jump, came above his target, and crashed down with a colossal Yoshi Bomb. Giratina shrieked in agony, and made to rip at his face with its tentacles. But the islander quickly rolled off the Pokemon before Giratina could grasp him, and executed a move even more surprising.

Flicking out of his mouth came a long, thick, salivated tongue like some monstrous red worm. It wrapped itself first around Giratina's tentacles, sinching them into a tight bundle, and then around the beast itself. Dragon Yoshi displayed remarkable tongue muscles as he lifted up the enormous guardian with his tongue alone, trembling from the effort. He swung Giratina high over his head and slammed it onto the opposite side, the Pokemon wriggling furiously but completely incapacitated by the Herculean tongue. Yoshi repeated this maneuver again and again, his tongue swinging back and forth above him like a giant metronome.

Finally, exhausted, the dragon released his opponent by depositing it onto the surface, panting, hoping the battle was won...

Samus tried desperately to repair her arm cannon quickly so that it could be used in the battle, but to no avail. Luckily, a massive dragon Yoshi saved her and continued to combat Giratina...

Dobs stood and shouted, "Steele! If you want a fight, then stay here, we can't have villain's ADD with you poofing all around the battlefield, mkay?" He stood and waited for the hell lord to return...

{I dunno where I'm at but I'm wif Ronji}

Ruby sighed as she looked to where Ronji was looking. She really didn't care if anyone was approaching, as long as someone didn't try to bother her. She closed her eyes and then let out a sigh. She then opened her eyes and looked at Ronji.

"Whatever happens, happens. I honestly don't see why we're hiding.", she said.

She then disappeared from behind the tree and went out into the open. She was walking and she walked passed these "super humans" without a word and with no emotion on her face. She walked with pride and confidence as always. She then looked back and sighed at Ronji. He stood up and got out from hiding and walked another direction to catch up to her. The super humans watched her but she didn't care of their thoughts.

Eiron stood and slowly strapped his gauntlet back on, once again silencing the sensation of touch from his fingertips. He glanced over to where Sour now stood, surrounded by relieved friends, and one mortified looking Kaemon. Apparently, Luigi had eaten chili before using the restroom.

At the bridge's control console, a green light flashed several times. From the helm, Zel called out “Cody, take us out of hyper speed.”

“Yes sir,” Cody replied, grinning. “Dropping out of hyper speed now.”

There was a slight lurch, and the sudden sensation of slowing down. The crowd gathered in anticipation at the viewports, eagerly awaiting a glimpse of their new base. With a flash of light, the hazy glow of Elysia filled their views, radiating warm light out into the darkness of space.



A soft murmur spread throughout the room, and the ship slowly began to sink through the heavens, amber clouds whirling gently around the descending freedom fighters. Eiron backed away from the windows to allow others to press their faces against it, staring out in awe at the limitless vista below, wondering at the world of clouds without earth.

Sour broke away from the group and approached Eiron. “Look…” he began. “Thank you. For all your help.”

Eiron smiled. “You did everything yourself. You don’t need to thank me for anything.”

Sour looked back to the window, silent. Finally, he asked “You’ve been here before then?”

Eiron’s suddenly gained a distant, empty look. “Yes.” He said, “A long time ago.” The look faded, and he turned to Sour, serious again. “Things are going to get very busy very quickly once we land. You have some history with Luigi and Mario?”

Sour shifted slightly, looking back towards Luigi and the others. “You could say that.”

Eiron nodded, and was silent for a moment. “We’re going to need a group to journey back to the Mushroom Kingdom to enlist aid. I’d like you to be a part of that group.”

Another small gasp broke out from the crowd around the window, and they both looked to see Skytown coming into view, slowly emerging from a golden cloud bank.

“Ladies and gentlemen,” Eiron said,the crowd parting for him as he approached the viewport. “Our new base of operations: Skytown.”



Zel’s ship slowly slid up to one of the massive floating spires, docking gently at the largest available port. There was a slight lurch, and a booming clanging noise reverberated throughout the ship as the clamps locked shut.

“Alright!” Eiron barked. “Time to get things rolling! We need organize everyone into parties to journey out and recruit more fighters to our cause. Tellius, Hyrule, the Mushroom Kingdom…all the worlds where allies can be rallied to us. I will remain here to organize our defenses. If you wish to explore the station, travel in groups and don’t fall off! There will be no ground for you to land on.”

Crehavos did not seem to have anything else to say on the subject. Arietta was again lost in thought, drifting back to that venomous Snake known as Kaimu. The newcomer was silent. Nemeck turned, gently touching Arietta’s shoulder with the outside of his clawed fingers as he did so.

“Come. We’ve spent enough time dawdling in the rain. Our enemies await.”

Arietta snapped back to reality, annoyed. “And where do you propose we start looking for them? The moon?

“In Greenhell Forest.”

Arietta blinked “What? Why would we go there?”

Nemeck did not look back towards the girl, but continued to walk slowly away into the rain. He raised his hand, twirling and playing with some invisible object. “Just following a blue thread of fate.”

Snake and Kin looked at each other with confidence, Steele was tough, but he was misguided. He obviously didn't know who he was really fighting for. "Hey Kid" snake said in a raspy voice, "Steele, he has got some charisma and power but we can take- cough* ugh.. we can-..." snake started to collapse a bit, he was on his knees coughing uncontrollably. Kin ran over and held him up on his knees for support "Snake!, whats the matter!? Snake!?" Kin yelled in concern for his close friend. Snake turned his head and looked at Kin "Back pocket..a syringe, *cough*"

Kin reached his hand behind snake and opened up his back military pocket. he felt a metal circular shape and took it out. he looked at it it almost looked like a pen but it had a needle tip at the end. Snake grabbed the Syringe and quickly jabbed it into the side of his neck, under his ear. "Grhaaaahh!" Snake cried in pain as the syringe made a depressurization sound that similar to a spray can.

Snakes grip on Kins shoulder lessened as his vision was getting clearer. "Snake, are you alright!?..what was that?" Kin asked as this was the first time Kin had seen something strange happen to his friend other than the advanced aging."Yea..I'm fine, we got a battle to fight don't we?" Snake replied as he got up on his own and walked over to Steele. Kin got up to with a confused look in his left eye. What the hell just happened? Kin thought to himself, he looked down and saw the Syringe, he picked it up and put it in his coat pocket and followed the legendary mercenary.

Steele was battling having a conflict with Samus and Dobs, it looked like Samus was having issues with her arm cannon, On the other side Yoshi was a huge dragon that looked like it had beat Giritina. Kin looked at Steele again and silver mist began to radiate around him, this also attracted a few demons. The unholy monsters had only one thing on there mind and that was to kill, as they ran over for the hunt, the pack of demons got closer and closer, Snake and Kin were in battle positions. "Show them your CQC." Snake said as he fixated his hands.

The first demon approached and jumped in the air and attempted to slash kin with its claws, but it was met with a elbow to the face, it fell down on the red subspace floor and kin shot it with his handgun, Bang! The next two demons came charging in at them, disregarding what bestowed the first demon, Kin rolled under one of the demons and grabbed it from behind and pushed it into Snake, where it was met by a snapped neck and a shot to the head. Snake turned around to the other demon, kicked it in the ribs, while it was bent over he elbowed it in the back of the head while at the same time kneeing it in the jaw. The demon was out cold, five more approached them, they simultaneously all ran together in a circle, Snake and Kin backed up against each other and looked at one another, both dropping grenades and C4 in there spot. By the time the demons all jumped in the air to lunge at them, Snake and Kin somersaulted on the red floor away form there spot. the demons all ran into each other. "Now!" the two said at the same time, detonating there C4, resulting in an explosion.

Limbs flew everywhere like shrapnel in a war zone. About a thousand more demons ran after them from a large distance. "Get all of your explosives out and place them in a spread out line" Snake said as he dropped grenades and C4 5 feet from one another, Kin did the same. The demons didn't care or seem to catch on to what they were doing, there drive for blood consumed them to the point of insanity. The huge pack of monsters ran forward screeching demonic sheiks, closer and closer they got until KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! About one hundred and fifty demons were sent in the air in pieces as smoke filled the air, Then the two ran towards the smoke with there arms covering there faces, Snake grabbed his cipher and he was propelled up in the air, he grabbed his grenade launcher and started to mow down the demons in explosions. POOOMF!, the sound of the grenade launcher made as each shot flew out creating a fiery mess of demon limbs.

Kin got the ground, with his Sword of heroes tears and silver energy, using the mist he grabbed demons and flew them at each other, while simultaneously ripping up demons with his sword, and shooting the others with his gun, one unlucky demon was grabbed by the mist, slammed to the ground, cut open in the stomach, Kin quickly dropped a grenade inside it used the mist to toss it at other demons, then fired three shots in its stomach hitting the grenade and detonating it. BOOOM!!!

A few more minutes of that and the whole thousand of demons were a bloody charred mess. Snake landed next to Kin and they continued on to Steele.

I stood and looked up at him, annoyance clouding me for a moment. Back at home I would have been able to relax in my pool, or in my study and reflect on these matters. Sitting and relaxing next to a steady flame over some personal notes of magic had always been the best way to think. Most of my ingenious spells were made like this, my best laid plans.

Scanning around, the face of the pitiful, worthless "tyrant" and this barbaric gentleman I was to call my equal were all that was left holding me here. Surely with Nemeck at least, I would able to think on route. I spat in disqust, the presence of these two annoying me.

And anyway, something Nemeck had just said had perked my interest greatly. He had the most dreadfully annoying, horribly irritating way of talking imaginable.. but I had learned who this "blue thread" was. Eiron. The idea of being able to see him again was sending waves of pleasure through my body. Someday, his blood would be splattered on my hands, another showing of my power. The mocking feeling I felt while being cared for at his hands would re-payed in full.

"Fine then Meckie, let's go." I laughed a bit at my own humor after saying it. I had finally thought of the perfect nickname for new companion, and was eager to see how reacted to it. Looking up at him for a moment, but annoyed that I couldn't see his facial expression due to the mask, I took flight. It was time to get things moving again.

They had woke up when they felt the ship land, and since then they had left the ship before the others. They were obviously going to fight Crehavos soon so Diachi and Cara felt that they should help. By this time Kirby was gone though, as he had to check on Dream Land. Diachi walked up to Eiron, wanting to help them.

"Hey" Diachi shouted; "Sorry for the lack of an intro, we were a bit tired after having to..."
Cara stopped him mid-sentence and continued for him; "We overheard you talking about needing people to rally others and felt we should help"
