Chapter 4: Shattered Sanctuary

Suddenly.. I heard the things going on with that annoying haggard man that I was still trying to get away from. He was speaking to a few people, and.. this was very strange. It seemed as if there was a large amount of them! Oh.. I was not in the mood. I wasn't going to deal with more annoying companions. I didn't need people getting in my way or trying to dictate what I did. Nemeck himself was getting on my nerves with his recent actions. How much I wanted to just go and end all of this.

I simply turned around and looked at him. His sight was getting easier on my eyes. To be honest, his appearance was shaggy and crude. At first it annoyed me to simply lay eyes on him, and now I just ignored my annoyance. There was just simple something that screamed "I'm trying too hard" to me. I'd like to see him pull of the evil act while looking like a gradeschooler. Ha, then he would know what it was like.

"Nemeck, let's be on our way. We can't just screw around anymore. Let's head to the stars, and show these insects that they aren't ready to play hero anymore." I stated, not asking him. He didn't get to decide. That was my job.

I flew off and didn't even think about anything for a time.. just trying to clear my head. The annoyances in my life would simply have to be dealt with. I looked down at teh ever changing scenery below me.. looking for where Crehavos claimed he docked his ships. At this point, I just assumed Nemeck was following me, not bothering to look back for his form.

It wasn't long before a spotted a not so hidden hangar. Why the SSS moron's had left it so untouched was shocking to my mind. These idiot's showed often exactly how bright they were. I landed with a thud on the ground and tried to take a deep breath. Night was falling quick and fast.. and I took a moment too look up at the stars we were about to travel to.

I looked back as I felt another body drop, of course spotting my companion, who obviously had stayed not too far behind. He seemed a bit anxious to be off, or maybe that was just my feelings on the situation. Though of course, after the way he first acted as we met, he seemed rather anxious to run into Erion again. As long as he doesn't steal my kill.. I couldn't care less. We'll run into him soon enough, you sneaky serpent.

I took one last look at our ship.. seeing it's plain design. But I didn't care how well it looked, I just cared about it's weapon and flight capabilites. Someone like Crehavos better have equipped it with the latest and strongest weaponry.. because I seriously feel like blowing something up right now.

"Come.. the star's await." I said, and walked on board. It was time to start the next phase. They will be annihilated, every last one of them.

[Diachi's ship]

Adeleine was glad that she had gotten help from Sonic and the others.. because it turned out one little girl wasn't strong enough to carry the "Angel Egg" but herself. It was still so fascinating to look at though, and it almost inspired her to paint. However, right now she was wondering what she was going to do... it seemed that Kirby had gotten himself into some icky trouble again.. and she might have to help him again. Well, if that's what had to be done.. that's what had to be done.

Sonic was ready to get moving again himself, but was looking at the Angel Egg with curiosity as well. It was a strange relic, and in his travels, these sorts of things were always important. It was slightly see through, and he could make out something sleeping inside of it. It was obviously human.. but were they just going to let it sleep in there? He guessed so.. and didn't want to mess with it himself, so decided to go back to pacing the floors. They weren't going to be much longer. The base was approaching fast, just how he liked it.

She clutched her beating heart, and coughed up blood. Cyberbite wasn't conscious at the moment, the exposure to the darkness had left him sleeping. So much.. paiin. Her heart beat quickly, her body was sweating. She.. had to get out, but she didn't know if she was safe. She had to get out...

[Big Boss]

[Sky town, planet Elysia]
(Kin, Snake)

The Portal had opened up at the front of the new SSS Base with a craclking electric sound and a white flash, Kin Jumped out of the portal, airborne for a few seconds and landed on his arms and legs. Following closely behind him was none other than snake, he slid out of the portal and reganed his balance. His arm was still wonded due to steeles sword, "Ill manage" Snake said as Kin was glancing at him. Snake had his arm coverd by his left hand. The two had turned around and in front of them stood the mighty Skytown.

A giant birdlike head statue was on the top of the entrance, This was not there average building. Kin and Snake both walked up the stairs leading to the main door. It was in a octagon shape, and it was glowing blue in color. Kin touched it and it flew open by itself. "High tech...." Snake had said as he walked inside, Kin had followed. The sunset sky had faded as the door closed. The room was a bit darker but right in front of them was a statue of the same thing they saw outside, but it was alot smaller and it had a body. Even though it was a statue, it had a great presence on the two of them, it was almost like it was alive.

"Wow, Im very impressed with this base already, Erion and Dobs sure know how to find a good place!" Kin said as he smiled a bit looking a the statue. "You know...I think it would be a good idea to tell the rest of the SSS about what you think.." Snake spoke. "Your inclining i make a speech?" Kin said as he smiled and looked at snakes old, tired eyes. "Well that is a great idea!" Kin said as he walked back outside. "Snake, we have alot of work to be done still, but i dont want you to tire yourself out." Kin said as he put his hand over hisforehead as he stared into the cloudy magnificant hurizon. "Im going to like it here." Kin said as he grabbed his smash orb and set it on brodcast to any SSS member. "To All Brothers and Sisters of the SSS, Its me Kin. Please meet me at the front entrance of the Skytown base, thank you this is all."

Evil Kin had to get away from those guys, he had no clue who they were and frankly he diddnt care much. "Great those two had flew off already, damnit!" Evil Kin said to himself as he started to run as fast as his feet could take him, "Im heading to that base, I have to settle an old score!"

"KIN! IM COMMING FOR YOU!"

Steele was asleep in his room. He was tossing about in his sheets. His head was pounding, balls of sweat were slowly dripping down his face.

Steele was in his dimension. He could see the dim pure light that seeped in from the small circles on the wall. It was always like he was standing in space. Suddenly, a rip opened up on the ceiling. Strong winds blew from this rip, thunderclaps could somewhat be heard in the distance.

The storm seemed to form a hand, and grab Steele, pulling him up into the depths of the rip. Inside, Steele saw himself, simply standing there, sword in hand.

He felt a sharp pain in his forehead. The Steele he was looking at changed as well. The gem on the Power Limiter on his forehead popped like a balloon. His sword shattered instantly, and his surroundings became enveloped in pure black.

Steele saw a pair of pure white eyes, but with no pupils. Penetrating eyes, staring right at him.

Steele awoke abruptly, and flung his sheets off his bed, as if afraid of something in the bed. He felt his forehead. There was his power limiter as always, but the area was very tender and red. Unconsciously, he mouths words without speaking. So begins the beginning of the end

A glass paperweight on his desk had fallen on the ground, and shattered into an array of pieces.

[Northern Arctic]

"What are we to do, Madame Ucria?"

Many miles away from the damnation of the vicious tyrant's reign, a cunning youth and a wise, gorgeous maiden were contemplating a way to end this nightmare. For days they had been lurking in the bone chilling arctic, avoiding discovery and imprisonment, and yet... their attempts to devise a counter to Hell's bitter rule were ill-fated and fruitless. The boy dressed so formally, with champaign hair and eyes the deepest of green that matched a lucious rainforest, was seated ever so still in the deepest cranny of their hideaway; gazing at the blazing fire that chipped and crackled inside the haunting grotto. Even with the warmth of the flames, Dartainian never felt so cold.

The woman sitting opposite him on a rough stone was absolutely stunning. Gowned in a marvelous fur coat that covered nearly all of her body; only leaving her head and hands bare. Her skin appeared to be quite delicate, yet very firm with a milky white tone, ebony locks falling swiftly down her back; so neat... so perfect. Lips plump, nose flawless, and eyes as blue as the ocean deep.

"Sadly... I've come to a solitary, yet indefectable option." Her voice was breath-taking, high as a string of bells ringing softly in the summer breeze, and graced with a tremor of pure elegance. Though it was not a happy sound... the voice was filled with such remorse. "Try and try again, we fail to grasp a true, pure way to end... the eternal one. However, there seems to be no known methods on how to destroy an immortal.

"Therefore, I've only come to the inevitable solution." Ucria looked up from the fire at her young companion, eyes interlocked, gaze impenitrable. "We must fight."

Dartanian's face fell at her words, he did not like violence in the slightest. He prefered to settle things peacefully, or at least avoiding such barbaric quarrel. "You're positive there is no other way?"

The lovilian beauty gave Dartainian a half-hearted smile, and returned her hypnotic gaze to the burning flare.

The boy groaned with distate, rotting his calm demeanor. One, bolting shiver raced down his spine, his vision becoming unhinged... even if only for a moment. It didn't take long for Dartainian to compose himself, replying to Ucria's conclusion. "So be it. We'll leave tomorrow morning."

"He will be in Skytown." The maiden announced abruptly. "That is certain."

Crehavos' face showed no hint of surprise at the meager old fool's announcement, only the collected front he exhibited so accurately and acutely to all who were in proximity of his very presence. The delighted professor looked as giddy as a schoolgirl, ready to present her well researched report to several dozen people. This did not amuse the Lord of Hell, the only effect it was causing him was severe, unstable and internal annoyance.

"You seee, Master, I-"

"Keep silent... and then I will understand." Crehavos' calming, secure voice chimmed, interrupting the wheezy dwarf.

Reeka could not help but raise an eyebrow to the abnormally confusing statement. How could his master understand what he has not heard...? He was still quite unaware of what all this new ally was capable of, and then he began to wonder... Is it possible that he can...?

The tyrant's eyes looked dazed and out of focus, as if trying to peer through invisible smog unseen to all, except for him. Seeking... detecting... "Skytown. They are in a Skytown known as Elysia."

A wide sneer covered the little genius' face from ear to ear, delighted at this discovery of telepathy. "S-so you CAN read minds like an open book, my masster!" Reeka's squealy voice exclaimed.

Ignoring this accusation of fascination by his newly found scientist, he briefly muttered, "I must leave at once..."

At first it was just a low, whizzing noise humming from the shadow demon's initial direction, but in a moment's notice, his power surged furociously and erupted in a silent rage; distorting space and time with a single breath.

Crehavos had vanished, and with his unruly departure marking the dawn... of a horrific end.
