Chapter 2: Forces of Darkness

IOY was gone from the HQ. He was unconcious. He didn't know where he was. He couldn't think even a bit. ((OOC: I'm EXTREMELY SORREH people for not being active. I've just had a bunch of crud to do for school and yeah... Sorry for such a short post too. >< ))

After the entire ordeal in Synkard with the death of Nhalini, Malik, Xzaana, and Dark Samus, and the loss of Mariella, yet again; Dobs finally had some closure. He was ready to start his life over and completely commit it to the SSS. "This life wasn't meant for us... there will be others" Dobs reflected on Mariella's parting words to him as he gazed out upon the thousands of stars in the galaxy. He felt a subtle happiness deep within him with the knowledge that he could finally be with his love in his next life. That truth made Dobs strive to make this life all the more memorable.

"You alright?" Samus asked.
"I'm great, thanks," Dobs laughed a bit, "Hey, you know what would suck?"
"What?"
"Getting attacked by the pawn of a Hell-Lord in an attempt to use my soul as one of three for some sort of evil scheme in which the world is destroyed."

[Crehavos, Evil Kin]
[Fallen Angel Castle: Throne Room]

The Hell Lord grunted in annoyance with Evil Kin's cocky behavior, but he let it pass. "Dobs is in the realm known as Synkard, the place where souls await their judgement to move onto the afterlife." Crehavos said. "Normally, I would have to do this myself, but thankfully I made you a reaper. Therefore, you may travel to different dimensions and can arrive in this one to claim Dobs' soul for me."

Evil Kin rolled his eyes and said, "Save the melodramatics and let me go already." Evil Kin said abruptly.

Crehavos clenched his hand in annoyance tighter to the arm rest of his throne. So much, that it began to crack and break off into little bits. Evil Kin got the hint and took a deep bow, saying, "My apologies, master."

The Hell Lord loosened his grip, and said, "Very well, now go-... wait."

Evil Kin froze as he was heading for the door and turned back around to his master.

"I sense that they left Synkard. They're heading for Smash Planet as we speak. They're in space, so just wait outside of the planet's atmosphere." Crehavos said.

"But... how am I suppose to breath? Won't I like... implode or something?" Evil Kin asked slightly laughing.

"Your new reaper powers allow you to breath. Now off with you! Go get that boy's soul!"

Zelda gazed at the horizon then shook her head and looked at her motorcycle birds flew across the sky chirping, Zelda got onto her motorcycle and pushed the kickstand back on the side she turned the engine on and destructively drove off turning around facing downhill and drove off the cliff following it's path, driving around and around in circles until she reached the bottom once she reached the bottom Zelda stopped placing one foot on the ground and took another look around seeing trees and thick grass, special vines, ahead but no path Zelda searched around then she found the path supposedly it lead to a thickly forest area. She pulled her gloves up more tightening them and then kicked her feet up against her motorcycle before driving off she looked over her right shoulder at the crumbling sounds of the cliff as chucks of land started slamming beneath the ocean causing an uprising of water she drove off toward this path that lead into a thick forest area bringing her head toward this path she turned right from following the grass turning onto the smooth path. Once set on this path she kept straight ahead now being in between this thickly forest area, Zelda's coat blew in the fast pace wind it sounded like it was going to rip at the speeds she was going. She revved up her bike even more and picked up enormous speeds, lifting off the ground and thu the air over the obstacles that was in her way she noticed a barrel suspended in mid air circling around, Landed, she turned her bike across the rest of the path blocking it basically and stopped for a short time here, this next path she knew would lead her deeper within this thickly jungle, observing everything within this area. Zelda placed her foot back onto her bike and drove deeper within this forest her yellow scarf blowing in the wind she could see a wide opening as she got closer and closer within reach she quickly turned her bike her tire burning some of the grass, she observed around this vast lake she quickly drove off again straight across the path near the lake and toward the lake shore. She quickly noticed another path this one was a bit grassy but still smooth she drove off immediately fast paced leaving trails of flame behind to burn the path she drove passed.

They began to run around looking for some sort of storage room to find their weapons. The massive castle was like a maze to them. Eventually they got lost.

KIN: Crud. What now??

GEO: We have to sneak around. We don't want to be discovered.. Keep on looking.

They ventured of down a narrow hallway, then took a left, and found a swarm of soldiers guarding a room. They quickly ran back towards the edge of the hall.

GEO: I think our weapons must be there well-guarded so no one gets to it.

KIN: Should we just go charging in?

GEO: Hmm...I'm not sure, we would definately win but it'll cause too much of a commotion..And I don't sence another way in...You got any ideas??

KIN: Hmm....

[Rorschach]

Sour got up and saw Zero was barely scarred.

Sour: DAMNET, I MISSED!!!!

Sour looked at the kid on the floor and ran over to lifted him with his staff. He was now really pissed.

Sour: PK this b****!

Sour used "swift stick" on ness and noticed he was bleeding. He then noticed his hood was off.

Sour: wow this day is just getting worse.

Sour got a safety kit and put some bandages on Ness. He felt horrible for what he did. He knew that his anger was being triggered from Zero.

Sour ran to Zero and threw his staff at him. Obviously Zero dodged the attack but Sour jumped over him, grabbed the staff, did a 180 degree turn and swung his staff directly at Zero's head.

[MM, Steele]
Darkwood forest

MM tried to dodge a slash of the blade but was slit slightly on his calf.

MM:ARGH!

Steele:I dudnt miss thies tieme!

MM:You are one insane Bas****! Night is coming soon...Perfect! You're done!

MM slide-tackled steele knocking him down and then backed up as the moon rose. MM smiled and began to laugh evily. His eyes faded into a deep red (including falcon eye). MM's nails grew longer. His skin pailed. As he smiled a devilish smile, his canine teeth grew in size. The symbol of a vampire appeared on his chest ( ) MM no longer stood but he floated an inch or two above the ground.

VMM:Have fun!

"Apparently not," smashbro replied to Luca, as more and more people flooded into the HQ.
"Alright, listen!" smashbro yelled, and everyone seemed to. "Is there anyone else in the building not here?"
"smashbro," Pit said, running up to the platform. "We're here. Mewtwo got the portal fixed, so we're ready to fight." Pit saw everyone in the crowd. "Wow."
"Yeah, that's what I just thought," smashbro whispered. "Everyone stay here a minute, I'm going to go get everyone else in the building."

OOC: I bring everyone to the room, but you guys can post a flashback as to how it happened or whatever you want.

smashbro then stood back up on the table, in the middle of the main room, and looked at all of the people there. He took a tally of those there. He whispered this to himself.
"16 forumers, 44 brawlers, and others," smashbro said. "Highest numbers yet." He then turned to the crowd.
"Welcome all, thank you for coming. I hope you are all doing alright, but I'm sorry to say you may be facing one of the worst battles of your life so far.

"Until just recently, the SSS had been very split," smashbro said to them all. "And even though we have vast numbers here, there are still some of us missing, and we cannot have that. Every member is important, and we need to find them, and have them return.
Chreavos is planning a war. This news has come from many sources, and seems to be inevitable. This war is starting with an attack on this building, the HQ. This is why I have called you here, we need to defend this place once again from evil. Everyone here I'm sure knows about this war, and is willing to fight. If you are not, then please leave now." No one made to move.

OOC: If you don't want to fight, then you don't have to, just come up to smashbro later and say so.

"Nightmare and Saint, two high ranking members of this army are headed here. I assume they have an army with them, prepared to attack. Now we must be ready to defend. For this, we will need to be ready on all fronts, and for this, I think we should split up into 6 factions. (Air, behind, 4 ground).
Now, this leaves us with two problems, the missing members, and the attack on the HQ. Snicket was supposed to take a group to look for the Niluck Stone, which was stolen from the HQ, he and his party, including Mr. Game & Watch, Yoshi, Veronica, Snake, Amaya, Doom, Zel, Brooke, Ian, and Ike have not returned. other longstanding members like Geo & Kin, Mariomasher, Steele, Dobs & Samus, are also missing, but I believe that they are on specific missions, and should be alright. So I'm asking some of you to go and find Snicket's party, and to help them, see if they're ok, and return with them. The Niluck stone is very valuable, alsmost as valuable as their lives. It would be prefeable to have a party of 5 to 10 go, and find them, prefeably with a ship?" smashbro turned to Fox and Falco, who nodded.

"We can take the Great Fox," Fox said.
"Don't you need me to help you pilot it?" Wolf asked.
"No," Falco replied.
"But I think we need him," Fox told Falco. "It would be kinda hard for only us to work it, and he is already familiar with controls like that."
"Well, I guess 3 people would be better," Falco admitted.
"Alright then," smashbro continued. "Anyone wishing to go and help them, by all means, just don't have too many there.

Now, as for the battle plans, we currently have 3 floors to the HQ, and thats the highest point we know of, as there is no roof. The rooms there bordering the edges are the armory, library, and the pokemon care center (will make map later). I'd like to have some archers up there, to act as lookouts, and to shoot from there. If you are up there, you would be the first to see the enemies, and could contact the others below. Pit, Leonardo, Toon Link, Kammy, and Miciah, could you help there? Your arrows and magic should work well from there."

"What about me?" Young Link asked. "I have arrows."
"I need a team to go out and hide in the forest around here, waiting for them to come. The plan would be that after they pass you, you could attack from behind. That was they'd be trapped from both sides, so it would trap them. But this is also the most dangerous group, cause if you were spotted, then they would attack you right there, and you'd have to fall back. Any volunteers?"
"Can I go there, and then come back with news once they're coming?" Diddy asked.
"Good idea," smashbro replied. Tetra, Young Link, and Sothe volunteered for this job.

"What-a bout me?" Mario asked.
"Glad you brought it up," smashbro said. "Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Kirby. You are respected by your people, and so I'm asking you to lead them, whatever division you may be in. There awill be 4 divisions; one for the North side of the building, the West, East, and South. You can volunteer for which one you want to be in after i'm finished.

"Professor," smashbro addressed E. Gadd. "Continued working to see if you can find any other defences. The professor nodded and continued to type.
"Madame Calirvoya," smashbro called out into the air.

"Can you watch over the whole battle from above and help the 4 groups communicate?"

"Thanks. On the ground I need 4 of those too, to go between the 4 groups and make sure everything is ok."
"I supposed you'll appoint 4 of your forumers," Link said loudly.
"No actually," smasbro said. "I want 2 forumers 2 brawlers. And you're one of them."
"Oh," Link replied, surprised. "ok."
"Mewtwo?" smashbro asked.
"Sure," Mewtwo replied.
"and then LGN and Peram," smashbro finsihed. "If either of you don't want to, tell me and I'll assign someone else. You two have the most seniority, and for those of you with equal or more, I think it will be better overall to have you focus on fighting."

"What about you?" Link asked.
"I have some people to see, but t won't be long, and call if you need me, I'll be right over to fight. I would be out on the front lines, but I think that the people I talk to will be very important, and it may help prevent problems in the future."
"Is something wrong?" Pit asked.
"No," smashbro replied, then whispered to himself, so no one else could hear. "Not yet...

So now, work yourselves into the 4 divisions, or join one of the other groups. Thank you for listening." He added. he got down from the platform, and went to talk to the other people there, to see if any of them needed his help.

[flashback]
"Do you think we could take down the field and practice in the other room?" smashbro asked out loud. he was at robotics, and wantedto practice for the next competition. No one replied.
"Guys, do you think we should take down the field and practice?" smashbro asked, a little louder. Again no one heard him. so smashbro went out into the hall, and began to drive. Another member of his team (a girl) came up to him.
"Why don't you take down the field and practice?" she asked.
smashbro breathed out heavily. "The door is locked, and I need help taking down the field."
"People!" she yelled, and people turned to listen to her. "Someone wanna get down the field?" She turned to smashbro, "and why don't you get the keys?" smashbro sighed and walked away.

MM rushed towards Steele. Steele took out his sword and swung it up, attempting to slash him right down his body. Steele swung, but MM glided to his right and knocked him hard in his side. "Ooof!" Steele grunted as he was knocked back onto the ground. MM quickly pucked him up by his colar and punched him in his chest, knocking him back into a tree. Steele was knocked unconcious for a few seconds.

When he came back to, MM was rushing towards him. Steele ducked as MM slamed into the tree. Steele wobboly jumped up to the top of a nearby tree. Uggg he thought I think that wine is starting to wear off. Man does my head hurt... I'll have to play defencivley for a while. Just as he got his act together MM floated up, and kicked Steele off the tree. He couldn't recover from the kick, and was fell to the ground with a thud.

"Alright," Steele began "Lets see how you do with this..." Steele brought his sword up to his face, and pointed it towads his left. "Sacred Sword Technique Number ONE!" He threw his sword into the ground in fron of him so that the handle was sticking straight up. Steele fell limp, but remained standing.

[Rorschach]

Sour was fighting Zero and wasnt doing very well, his arm was injured and he had a busted foot. Sour kept fighting on though.

But then, someone burst into the room...GUYS, MEETING ROOM NOW!!!

Sour knew this was the chance to rest up and leave and he took it.

Sour: We will settle this later!!

Sour left the room trying to look badass but he fell.....he then got up and walked into the main room awaiting Smashbros message.

Sour thought to himself: Damn that was close, a little longer and I wouldve been a goner, that Zero guy is a lot tougher than I thought. Its going to take a while before I match his strength.

Sour then sat down resting and waiting.

Snicket rolled to the side on the floor as a burst of blue magic incinerated the ground where he had just been. Quickly getting up on one knee and then rising up to a standing position, he stood face to face with Agahnim the dark wizard, locking eyes. If he couldn't get past the keeper of the Niluck Stone's personal barrier, he'd have to find a way around it.

As the conflict with Agahnim's two copies raged on around them, the two masterminds continued to keep their gazes fixed upon each other, prodding each others' mental defenses. Then, Bob went for it, striking at Agahnim's mind with his Manipulation ability. Both figures tensed.

So...this is the mind of Ganon's sorcerer...how...interesting...

Impressive skills you have, foolish boy. But the Niluck Stone is mine. My master ensured that I protect it with my life...so unfortunately I shall have to play hard on you.

Snicket raised an eyebrow and smiled quizzically. Is that so? And if you were defeated twice by a ten-year-old with a few toys, then how can you possibly expect to triumph over a 15-year-old?

Ah, but that boy was aided and chosen by the gods...do you
have the arrogance to claim such a destiny of yourself?

Bob's smile faded. This warlock knew more about where to prod than he'd intended. I know not. I do have the blessing of the Legendary Pokemon Arceus, and was borne by Master Hand into this world, albeit accidentally, but perhaps my destiny ISN'T unprecedentedly special. Yet after what I've already been through, I DO know that I have the potential to compete against a foe such as you. Your heart is as black and cold and hard as any I've ever seen...But I will offer you one chance to surrender so I may satisfy the demands of both justice and mercy. Will you concede?

There was a brief cessation of communication as the large red-robed magician stared at Bob Snicket, seeming to size him up compared to his own bulk with a mocking sweep of his topaz eyes. Then, a deep, muffled laugh. Your fate shall be sealed for you, boy. Now feel the power of a TRUE magician!

What happened next was but a blur to Snicket; all he could do was follow through with the plan he'd come up with. Agahnim abruptly jabbed the staff towards the writer, and summoned up a huge portion of magic to be released in a jet of blue energy at him. At the same moment, Bob parried to the right, drew his Switch Hook from the folds of his cloak, and unleashed the spring, causing it to latch onto the golden rod. Since it was the only part of Agahnim not protected by his shield, for the staff was what had generated it, Snicket switched positions with not just the staff, but with Agahnim entirely.

The significance of this was that Snicket was now the one inside Agahnim's own shield, while the evil warlock was now unprotected, completely vulnerable. Agahnim cowered against the altar, his two copies vanishing as his magic was dispelled.

You were saying? Bob raised his hammer. Everyone else in the room ran up to the altar, training their weapons on Agahnim's head.

Ganon's former puppet appeared to be muttering something, some incantation, to the sapphire on his rod. He may have misheard, but Snicket thought it sounded awefully like "My Lords...now is the time for assistance..."

But then Agahnim looked back up at Snicket. He glanced towards the windows, as if waiting for something. As if on cue, two masculine figures crashed through the windows, silhouetted in the darkness of the chamber.

"Happy Thanksgiving," Agahnim said.

OOC:After you do this combo, steele, dont do another cuz im gonna do something ok?

VMM:What could he possibly do now...

VMM Teleported in a cloud of smoke and disappeared. He re-appeared behind Steele but when he swung he was countered by a quick swing of the sword and was sent back into a tree. He got up.

VMM:Clever....very clever...Can you counter this?

VMM just stared into Steele's eyes not moving when steele swung backwards and blocked an attack.

VMM:Good....very good...

VMM jumped back. It seems your not as clumsy without whine...

[MM, Steele]

Steele picked up his sword again. He shook his head. "Alright" he began. "Now that my head's clear, maybe we can have some real fun." He smirked. In his left hand he began to charge up electricity. Once it was charged, he put his two hands together to make the sword absorbe the red lightning. The sword was sparking with red lightning. Steele rushed towards VMM and swung his sword VMM glided away to dodge most of the attacks, but one sliced the bottom of his pants, and set his pants on fire.

VMM jumped back and patted the fire out. "That's some powerful lightning there" VMM chuckled. "Very smart... However, I have something in store for you"

[Mariomasher]

[MM,Steele]

VMM:Are you afraid of heights, Steele?

Steele:No, of course not.

VMM:After this...you will be...

VMM walked slowly towards Steele who was ready for almost everything. VMM then teleported behind him, Grabbed his shirt and teleported high into the air.

VMM:Ready for the worst expirience ever?

VMM then elbowed Steele towards the ground. Steele tried to find a way to stabilize himself but he was hurling to the ground too fast.VMM then teleported below steele and as steele was about to strike the ground, he stuck his knee out, right into Steele's back.

Steele:ARGH!!

Steele rolled off onto the ground as VMM backed away.

VMM:Was that fun?

Steele:You'll pay for that!

The two rushed at eachother when both of them suddenly couldnt move.

VMM:What the--?

Steele:How is this happening?

The two were frozen in mid-air as L.O.G. teleported in.They dropped onto their feet and starred at the figure.

L.O.G.:I don't want to see you two squabbling the way Banjo and Grunty do! Stop this nonsense!

VMM:L.O.G., you sad excuse for a computer screen, why did you abandon me, and why are you stopping me from tearing him apart?

Steele:Tearing me--? HA!! Thats rich! I bet i could--

L.O.G.:SILENCE!We shall settle this with a game...in the Jiggoseum.

All three of them were suddenly husked away into the Jiggoseum.

L.O.G.:Now, Heres the challenge...

[Snicket, Ucria, Agahnim, Ganondorf, Sephiroth... err.... everyone else. >_>]
[Dark Pyramid]

As the two masculine entities arrived covered in the darkness of the light deprived pyramid, the burly one spoke out in a hoarse, throaty voice. "It seems you have yet again failed in holding off mere children, Agahnim... Only one, however, seems to be an adult." The dark man said, acknowledging the presense of Ucria.

"But Master..." Agahnim said with a somewhat pleading look.

"Silence." The dark man said with authority.

Agahnim looked as though he were to say something else, but withdrew looking ashamed.

The burly figure finally stepped out of the shadows, and several people in the room gasped, and the rest just glared on out of hate. Ganondorf was revealed to be the dark figure, his yellow eyes seeming to glow through the dim light of the chamber.

Ucria felt a pent up rage inside of her. This was the reason she had come to this pyramid. The Lovilian had a feeling Crehavos was going to send his commanders this way.

Ganondorf sneered at them all with malevolence, speaking to them all with harsh words. "You all have come to recover your lost Niluck Stone, correct? Your Headquarters are unprotected, so now you must retrieve it, and manifest it's protection to make the place a sanctuary from evil once more. However, none of you shall be leaving this pyramid, let alone this chamber, alive ever again."

"Like you can stop all of us! We have you outnumbered, Ganondorf!" Snicket pointed out.

The King of Evil only chuckled at Snicket's statement. Suddenly though, the other dark figure spoke in a calm, elegant, yet frightening voice.

"You all may outnumber the three of us, but Ganondorf and I alone wield powers none of you could ever comprehend. This sorcerer is well accomplished too, but I'm afraid he will be the first to go in this little battle of ours." The mysterious man said. Agahnim looked rather irked by this one's theory, but again held his silence... difficultly.

The other man finally stepped out of the shadows, and they came face to face with a complete stranger. He was tall and had a lean, but muscular figure. Pale white, but smooth skin, and he wore a black coat-like outfit. His face was very "pretty" as some might say; he had thin lips, a perfect nose, and bright, almost glowing green eyes with cat slit pupils. The man also had long, silver hair that flowed down his back, all the way to his waist. But his most notible feature was his extremely long, thin sword he was carrying, looking to be almost too flimsy to actually use.

Ganondorf turned his head briefly on the mysterious warrior, smirking nastily, and focused back on the large group. "What this man says is true. Our Master has granted us power that none of you could ever match. And you would be foolish to even dare to oppose us."

"Pawns of Crehavos will never be more than pawns." Ucria piped up abruptly.

The King of Evil's eyes grew wide at this sudden snide comment, but the moment quickly passed and his face twisted into a smirk yet again.

"Why don't you teach this young lady how us pawns deal with rude little whelps, Sephiroth?" Ganondorf said to his comrade.

The silver haired man responded with, "Gladly." Sephiroth slashed his sword once, indicating he was ready for battle.

Ucria glared at her opponent and said, "You will be rue the day you messed with me..."

"Or will it be you who rue's fighting me? Mother thinks it is the latter." Sephiroth retorted.

[Fallen Angel Castle: Throne Room]

After Evil Kin left the room, Crehavos was greeted by one of his other commanders: Karocka.

"What do you need?" Crehavos asked, briefly mending the armrest of his throne with magic.

"I want an assignment. I'm getting bored just waiting around here." Karocka said rudly.

Crehavos glared at his commander fiercly, but his face contorted into a dark grin shortly after. "Very well... Get rid of LGN, immediatly. I want that little rat gone for good. Taking an arm from him didn't satisfy me, no... I want him out of my way... permanently."

Karocka seemed to be frozen and speechless for quite a few minutes. And then... he smiled... and left the room without another word.
