How I'm supposed to work out.
I've got the the big bench press bar thing to lift weights and I have dumbells, but that's it
I know I have to lift up and lift down, but I don't know how many reps I'm supposed to do and such.
I'm not a total fatty, but I've got a pot-belly, and I wanna get rid of it.
Could someone help, LIKE THE FITNESS GURU!?

exercise isn't the only way to get rid of fat. Drinking COLD water will also help (it makes your body cool down so it has to use the calories to keep it warm)
I can give you awesome tips on the proper way to eat if you want to become/stay fit

there's 10 rules to dieting! (this is the only kind of diet that REALLY works) 1. It'll take a long time - losing 1/2 - 1 1/2 punds of body fat per week gives the best results -lose fat, not weight
2. Throw away your scale-use a tape measure to measure your waist size. Scales just tell you how much you weigh. They don't tell you how much fat you have. Weight loss can be water weight, or losing muscle! -Reshape the body by shrinking your fat size
3. Eat every 3 and a half hours -Eat small meals -This keeps the metabolism higher -Keep calories around 400-500 per meal -Eat 3-4 meals of 400 calories
4. Reduce the sugar intake! -REDUCE IT, don't ELIMINATE it -Switch from regular soda to diet. Avoid Sugary Fruit Drinks -If you want to be lean and have a 6 pack, you MUST reduce your sugar intake
5. Eat lean protein -You need protein in every meal you eat -Protein is important for the growth and repair of the body tissues
6. Eat Starchy Carbs -Examples: Potatoes, rice, beans -Eat foods in moderation -balance it out -NEVER HAVE LESS THAN 1200 CALORIES IN A DAY!!!!
7. Eat Fiberous Carbs -eat more fiber (at least 25-30 grams a day) -fiber helps remove fat from the body -Any Veggie will give you fiber
8. Exercise -Do weight training -Do some Aerobic exercises -Exercise builds muscle -more muscle=more metabolism
9. Drink Cold water -Cold water makes your body try to cool down, so it uses more calories to keep it warm -Colder the water the better
10. Have a free day from your dieting -Set one day a week that you can eat whatever you want whenever you want (basically, a cheat day) -Weekends are preferable -This is an important step because it makes you less tempted to break your diet all the time
(I know, that was a lot, but the diet will work)

Actually, I do BFS (a football weight lifting program). It does not make you lose fat but turns it into strength. For toned muscles do light weight and more reps. As for stronger muscles and muscle mass do BFS (Bigger Faster Stronger). Here is what you do: (if you just started lifting in a long time do about 3/4 the weight you would normally do) ALWAYS USE A SPOTTER!!! Week 1: Mon - Lift Squat and Bench. 3 sets of 3 reps (3x3) with as much weight as you can. Wed - Do Power Clean and Dead Lift. 3 sets of 3 reps. Fri - Do Box Squat (use chair or a bench if you have no proper bench) and Towel Bench (use wraped towel about 2 - 3 in. thick over chest).
Week 2: This time do 5 sets of 5 reps (5x5) the most weight you can do 5 times.
Week 3: Same days and lifts- Do 5 reps (most weight possible each) then 4, then 3, 2, and 1. Basically, you start with light wieght and keep going higher.
Week 4: Same days and lifts. Do the most weight you can in one rep (MAX OUT) start at an amount near what you think what you can do then keep going higher until you cant go any higher. Your MAX is the most you could lift. Makes sure you do 2 sets of 10 reps with light when done.
Then do it for every month and KEEP RECORD so you know what to lift next time.

Well you should work out. And BFS is a professional way of being healthy that even NFL players do it.

lol don't fight about the better diet, but I was wondering: If I should eat only 1200 calories a day, and I should eat 400 calories per meal, wouldn't that be 3 meals (aka Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) so why eat every 3 1/2 hours?
