www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-KlY3JtIq0&feature=relatedThe Fairy Princess was standing outside the rubble of the Dragonfly Inn, a huge gaping hole in the wall. While they had been busy and distracted due to the current situation.. obviously fearful of choosing the right side.. the Fairy Kingdom and been able to rally their troops. At it's head bore the Princess herself, charged with the retrieval of the forumers. She began charging her mystical Psypher bow, which had new gem on it's end instead of normal one red one. The new one was blue, and it seemed to be about the same size as the original. A massive blast charged through the wall of the inn like paper, heading right for the group. Jade, who was about to answer the next series of questions.. instantly burst into battle mode. A green shielding burst all around him and he tried to hold off the blow. Medli, frightened a bit took to the air fast. "We must escape, it's one of Our Lady's henchmen.. and you guys don't have the strength to fight her yet. Please, you must flee!" The Princess however, took flight and flew in the Inn, her wings moving about gracefully. Following her were a few fairy troops, who looked beautiful and slim in their own right, flying just as gracefully. They all had bows seemingly made from nature and had their arrows prepped for fire. The Princess started speaking, having a young feminine voice to her.. though sounding just a tad brattish. "Our Lady demands the people brought to this world to be sent to her immediately. Why are you getting in the way?.." she said, pausing looking sad and a bit distressed. "Haven't you done enough already Jade and Medli and all of you traitors! You betrayed us, your friends!" she said, pointing her bow at Jade again. Jade, laughing a bit, just pushing his glasses up in physical response. "Who is this Jade that has such poor taste in friends?" after which though, he seemingly pulled a small lance type weapon from thin air, only creating a small flash of light as if he pulled it out of some strange pocket of energy. "But I'll defend this world from the likes of our lovely mistress any day.. " and a small fonic glyph appeared under him as he began to cast a spell. Angel grabbed Kismet's hand, starting to feel afraid. Wasn't that Mercedes? Why would she be harming them? Who was the bad guy.. who was the good guy? It was so confusing.. but she.. she wanted to believe in her heart that she was making the right decision. Pulling slightly, she cried out to everyone.. attempting to try to reason with them and get them to move. "We need to go with Medli! Come on!" she said, running out the door (or whole) to the bright, sunny outdoors. The sky was actually blue but had a strange effect that seemed to create small flashes of rainbow colors every few seconds. The grass was beautifully kept as if people landscaped nature itself. The houses were small, but very cute in a old-fashioned way. Other than the Dragonfly Inn, everything looked beautiful. Unsure of what to do, she looked to the Ruto girl, and Medli pointed to a gigantic airship seemingly taken from a Final Fantasy game atop a hill in the distance. Sadly though, a few fairy soldiers seemed to be guarding it from the silhouette in the distance.. and Medli wasn't really a fighter who could defend them.. she noted. Of course, the fairy girls weren't the strongest with just bows and were basic enemies in the game.. but what could they do? She gulped inside.. starting to feel scared. Would they have to fight? How? Only a few had weapons even.. and would they even know how to use them? She had to trust her friends more than ever before.

smashbro watched on as the fairies suddenly burst into the scene. He stood there, while the leader fairy and jade talked, trying to figure this out. If "Our Lady" was good, then why send a troop to attack them? But if Jade was good, why did he make an explosion near them? He did give an answer to that, but no one really saw whoever was trying to attack them. Except angel. She had to be important in this. She probably was one of the forumers that had the most to lose by this.
So he followed her out of the building, running a little more slowly than normal because he wasn't used to his armor, and saw the ship with the fairies. He readied his lance, and turned to the little girl. "You sure we should go with this Angel?" It was then that he remembered that other people were left in the building. He would have to make sure to talk to them later, once Angel was on the ship if she wanted to go.

Henry moved all at once.
His blade seemed to unsheathe itself, it's gleaming silver blade arcing through the empty space beside him. He'd had enough, this alone had convinced him.
Rushing the position of the Tales guy, Henry placed himself beside Collete and the shark headed guy, behind the tales guy who had just saved him. "You've convinced my, boyo." Henry said in a mockingly fake voice "I'll lend myself to your cause."
It was a rather hasty decision, which was something Henry didn't take to lightly. But this was a more obvious tactic than most people would give it credit for, and if this was just another trick then Henry was going to be very displeased. However, for the moment, he was being attacked by faeries and that wasn't quite how he'd envisioned his death, he had far to many things left to do and destroy. Besides, he wouldn't let his petty superstitions and anxieties get the better of him in such a life or death situation.
He lowered his stance and readied his blade, prepared to take the first of the faeries to come close enough to him, pleased to be a part of the action. He'd made sure he was almost directly in front of Medli- it would cause him a great amount of discomfort to see a character he had grown to consider a friend in their original game seriously injured or die in such a place.

Oh shit.
Kismet was taken aback by how quickly everything could go to hell around here. Princess Cute Magical Muffin Fairy had just attacked with her army of adorable story book followers, and Jade was going into Imma Kick Your Pixie Dust Ass Mode. Kismet suspected the fairy was keeping Bambi and a squadron of singing blue birds in reserve though. Obviously, the strangeness of the situation was affecting his ability to think logically, though what logic had to do with the situation he had no idea.
Angel grabbed his hand and dragged him outside after Medli, as he awkwardly hoisted Giacomo’s-or his, rather-scythe onto his shoulder. Immediately, they were joined by Aran. Who was actually smashbro. Who possessed a shield. Alright, that was good. That would come in handy very quickly.
“You sure we should go with this Angel?” he asked, glancing back towards the inn.
That’s right, not everyone’s out yet…if we stay to help them, we might not make it to the airship, but if we don’t make it to the airship, we’re screwed…At least Jade asked us if we wanted in or not. Not that it really matters, we have no choice, but appearances go along way…
Then, they were joined by Roy, who brandished his sword, and unless Kismet was very much mistaken, cast a critical eye at his head gear and made some unneeded remark. What an ass. “Do you know how to use that thing? Please don’t kill me with that.” Kismet said, eying Roy’s blade warily. A sword, or a scythe for that matter, was not some toy to be swung around by idealistic upstarts such as themselves. Kismet was quite sure that right now, they would be more dangerous to themselves than they would be to their fairy attackers.
Alright, executive decision time. Jade can kick a lot more ass than we can at the moment. He can handle Princess Tinker Bell while we get Angel and the others to safety.
“Hold on a moment.” Kismet gave Angel’s hand a quick reassuring squeeze, then jumped back into the building. “Kune, Sharpay, Jukan, Dobs! Let’s go!” As he spoke, he grabbed chunks of the destroyed wall-merely sheets of loose wood-and hurled them to each person as he named them. Those would be their impromptu shields against the archers around the air ship. Out of suitable pieces of wood, he upturned a small group of tables and dragged the out of the bar. A few quick, sloppy hacks of his scythe later, and their legs fell away, making shields for Angel, Roy, and himself. Perfect. Time to rock.
“Alright, me, Roy, and Aran are wearing armor, so we’ll line up in front with our sorry excuses for shields facing forward. Everyone else, get behind us and hold your shields over your head! We’re heading for the airship!” Praying to whatever gods existed in this strange land, Kismet positioned himself, hoping the others would follow his lead.

Kune was beginning to realize that things in this world never moved at a reasonable pace, that things could happen when you least expect them, which was practically all the time.
The explosion was much different for Kune this time around, as it blew away only the rubble of the wall that was once intact before them. Dust flew about, but luckily nothing hit her on its way through the air. The pain in her chest, what was once unbearable, was now overshadowed by adrenaline. She immediately raised up to one knee, an arm raised to shield her eyes and another to cover her breast. Faeries were the culprits this time, and there seemed to be no end to their numbers! What the hell were faeries doing here? Kune even seemed to recognize one as a character in Odin Sphere, but she couldn't remember if she had been evil or not. Well no matter, she thought, my conceptions about this place have all been turned inside-out, so the flipping of sides shouldn't be something that surprises me. To let my guard down now would be unwise.
A few of the members were up but there were still some she could not see. One, a fellow with a very peculiar hat, was holding Colette's hand (or arm, she couldn't really tell) and yelling out orders to hold pieces of wood as shields. Something tells me that's E-no, Kismet! She nodded her head and held the wooden plank above her head, finding her way towards Kismet and Colette who both seemed to be moving towards the airship with Jade, Medli, and the others. One young man was wielding a scythe in a defensive position which put Kune's heart at ease for a little bit but left a feeling of doubt in its wake. We have powers but they've yet to awaken. Can we really fend off these guys?
Backing away from the swarm, she held the wood in such a way where she could, if possible, catch arrows if they dare fly her way. In silent agreement she followed her companions.

"I have a bit'a training with this. I wouldn't call myself a master, but this ain't my first rodeo."
Henry smiled as he caught eye of the name tag proudly placed on the man's chest. Ol' Shark head was Kismet. He smiled softly without even the vaguest of recognition of who he was supposed to look like, but his orders were sound and they were armored, after all. He less than them, but the fact that they now had makeshift shields made up for that. Sort of. Kinda. Not really.
Lining up beside Kismet and holding his sword in his trained style, Henry took up position beside Kismet. He felt he should introduce himself, but knowing that clever man he'd befriended he had already deduced who was standing beside in the guise of the red-haired lord.
Henry, no, Kai, held his weapon's hilt near his unprotected stomach region, allowing the blade to run at a diagonal angle from his body, his prepared stance. As the opponent drew nearer, he brought his arms up, placing his left wrist on the cold metal of his chest plate, and propping his sword strait up, their very own cold metal banner. He was ready. He hadn't been born ready, but he was made ready.

Kevin looked down towards the other two, Kismet and Kai, and listened in on what they were saying. He gripped his shield a little better in his left hand, and drew in a breath. To the others, he began to give instructions. To be completely honest with himself, he thought that the others would not even hear them anyways, but he felt like something needed to be said. "Alright, we'll get Angel, Kune, and Medli to the ship, and then come back for the others. Sharpay, Jukan and Dobs are left but they should be able to take care of themselves. Once we get there and secure it, then two of us will go back and get the others while one person stays to keep guard. Oh yeah, explosion guy is there too, we need to get him." And so Kevin started to move out against the fairies, assuming that the others were coming too. He figured they would be doing that anyways, and so didn't wait to see if they did. If it was anything like his life back home, then it would not have mattered.
He felt something on his shield and heard a soft pang as it was hit by a fairy archer. She was coming closer so that more damage would be done, and was soon within his range. Despite knowing she was attacking him, Kevin didn't want to hurt her too much, and so only aimed his lance to injure. The hit did the trick, and soon she was laying on the ground. But then, he remembered that the items in Fire Emblem had limited uses. He hoped this wasn't the case now.

Stephen stirred from his sleep, there was a huge ruckus out side and it was bothering him. As he tried to sit up, all the knots in his back made him realize something strange. "Why am I on the floor?", huh, that wasn't his voice. After popping his back a few more times and rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he began to realize the situation he was in. This wasn't his room! He was in what appeared to be a small, old fashioned living room. "Aaaah!, where am I!" there it was, that foreign voice again. Jumping up, he saw that he was fully dressed, in an outfit all to familiar. Holy shit! This red jacket, pink shirt with the lolis on it, the pants, the boots... that voice. While there was no mirror to be seen, he knew who he was, Travis Touchdown. Was he dreaming, he had to be dreaming. While the pain in his back would tell him otherwise, that could be easily explained, he probably just rolled of the bed, and he responded subconsciously to the pain, just like how he felt hunger pains or heard the alarm in his dreams. However, he could feel the different fabrics of his jacket and shirt, he could feel the warm temperature. Well, there was one sure way to tell, Stephen raised his fist above his head, and brought it down on his right leg. "OW!... Okay... this seems real, mmmmmhuh" But the pain was quickly replaced with elation, this is just like his fantasies, cast into another world, given another body with powers, and while not how he usually imagined it, he was glad that it was Travis he turned into. Looking around, he saw a pair of yellow sunglasses and what appeared to be a fancy sword hilt laying on a table. "Aww hell yeah" he exclaimed as he put on the glasses on and grabbed the Blood Berry, activating it. As he was gazing at the awesomeness of his beam katana, he once again heard noises outside. 'Hmmm, I should probably go check that out'. Upon exiting the small house, he was completely taken in by what he saw. There was an army of faeries attacking a group of people by a destroyed building. He then recognized one of them as Roy from Fire Emblem, and JADE CURTISS! He was shocked to see one of his most favorite video game characters of all time. Then he noticed a guy with a gay hat wielding a scyth, a guy with sweet green/orange hair, a wierd duck girl, and a few others he couldn't make out. "What the hell is going on!?"

Thud…..thud…..thud….
Kismet couldn’t help but feel like cold water was being poured in huge icy buckets into his stomach every time an arrow struck his makeshift shield. Unsurprisingly, he’d never been shot at, and certainly no one had ever tried to kill him before-and he didn’t much care for it now. Better than actually getting shot. he thought grimly. It felt so strange, marching into battle like this. That seemed like an awfully brave thing to do, and even if he was the only one, Kismet knew he was not a brave person. How’d I end up in this stupid situation again?
Oh, that’s right. This was MY idea. God I’m a dumbass.
Kismet liked to think that he was above the opinions of others. That he could do as he pleased, following no higher power than his conscious, and be immune to the criticisms and snide remarks of others. And often enough, that was the case. But when things truly got ugly, when something was really on the line, those lofty, arrogant, shallow expectations tended to fall to hell. And all that remained was a deep, gnawing fear. Kismet strove, as much as he could, to do the right thing in those situations. Not because it was the correct thing to do, not out of some innate goodness. He did it because he was afraid. Terrified not of other’s scorn, but of their disappointment. That deep down, underneath all the sarcasm and self assurances, he really was just a weak person looking out for himself. And he hated looking weak. Which was how he found himself marching into a hail of arrows with a freaking table as his protection. Dying, or at least the thought of it, had never really bothered him. It happened to everyone, after all, whether they liked it or not. He had been scared, certainly, but he had been more afraid of not marching forward.
After what seemed like far too long, they reached the airship. Funny how time slowed down when sharp pointy objects are flying at your face. Dropping his scythe, he took a deep breath and prepared to attack with his hands and feet. The only weapons he knew how to use. And I’ll be damned if I’ve ever needed anything more. “Alright! Everyone who doesn’t actually know how to fight, get into the airship!
With that, Kismet shouldered the tabletop and charged forward, ramming it into one of the fairies. The smaller creature slammed to the ground, and a quick kick later, decided to take a nap. Realizing their bows were no longer effective at this range, the fairies tucked them away and prepared for close quarters combat. Kismet still had a tabletop though. And those were plenty useful up close. With a grunt, he swung it at another fairy, releasing it mid swing and sending it careening into his target’s arm. A quick skipping step later, and the bottom of Kismet’s boot was planted firmly the fairy’s face, dropping the creature.
Just a few more.

My head is splitting as I awaken. I sit up from the strange bed that I have been laying in, as I turn my head to survey my surroundings I find a ghastly sight. The walls have been plastered with a paper that is reminiscent of a small babies puke, the furniture is cheaply made and the TV must be 30 years old, beside me on the table sits a copy of the bible. It is obvious I am in some kind of cheap motel. As I rub my head to try and stop the pounding I notice a strange sensation, a scratching feeling on my head, maybe there is something on my hand. I lowered my hand to look at it and am met with a shocking sight. Where my normal five fingered hand used to be was now a three fingered claw, clothed in an orange elbow length glove and sheathed on dark bronze armor. I knew this sight all to well, but it was impossible. I avert my gaze down and notice that I am shirtless. My skin is a sickly grey- green tone and I am much more fit than I should be. I stand and walk across the room, and from the corner of my eye I notice a full length mirror. I walk up to the mirror and my suspicions are realized. I look upon a tall creature, at least 6 foot 7, sets of horns grow out from my forehead and a mane of white hair drops down to the bottom of my back. The only thing on my chest Is a blood red sash wrapped around with a leather belt, clamped with a golden medallion. My legs are clothed in dark brown leather pants, accented with the same armor that adorns my hands. Where my usual black leather combat boots are are now two unclothed split hooves. I feel the fangs in my mouth with my tongue and that seals the deal. I do not know how it happened, and I do not know why, But I have become Kain. I take a moment to stare at my hands again, it will be very difficult to play bass with these hands, I throw my hands down in mild frustration, I try my new hands out for a spin, I lift the heavy mirror from the wall and hurl it. It bashes throught the door leaving a hold behind. "HOLY friggin crap! I think this means I cannot ever punch a wall again......unless i dont want that wall to be there anymore......hmm." Again I am shocked, for what echos from my mouth is not the usuall sarcastic snap, but a voice deep and rich, filled with age wisdom, and ruthless ambition. Kains voice. And then a new thought occured to me, where was Kains, I mean my, telekinesis. I try for the next few moments to attempt my powers to no avail, it seems I am not the bad ass I should be. "Maybe there's some fool in this place that can tell me what the hell is going on." I walk forward towards the door, and I notice something leaning against the frame. It is the iron sword, the weapon that Kain first uses. "I wonder if I can trade this in for the reaver." Now armed I step forward out of the door and prepare myself for whatever may come next. "Just as long as I don't see drake of the 99 dragons, then I'll be a murderer."

Henry heard it before he felt it. He'd never been stabbed before, and he'd never felt the urge to be, in fact he would try to avoid it at all costs, but there was no means of getting around it now.
A faerie, smaller even by their own standards, had flanked him, avoiding the shield which now bristled with arrows stabbed deep into it and fired a single shot at his head- it met with his arm, in a stroke of luck.
Howling from the pain and cursing from it, he dropped to a knee and angled his shield in an attempt to cover both sides. They could plainly see that he was armed, and had guessed from his stance that he may have known what he was doing. Rather than risk getting anyone injured, they had opted instead to simply shoot at him, keeping him at bay and retreating, forcing a hole in the defensive line.
Continuing his chain of swears, Henry touched the arrow but decided against pulling it out- the last thing he needed was to worry about bleeding to death as he retreated into the gap of the firefly inn, bracing himself on the edge of it's massive, gaping hole and slamming his makeshift shield onto the ground, which now seemed to be getting heavier and heavier from the hole in his arm, and awaited their true assault, when he could slice off a piece of a faerie.

As I walk forward into the hotel I notice that it has been completely decimated. The entire side of the building was gone. Whatever has done this was seriously pissed at something.
As I continue to wonder what was left of the halls I begin to wonder to myself if there was anyone else here, or if it was just me, standing alone confounded by my current condition.
While I continue my trek I found it only slightly more difficult than usual to walk, given the fact the my feet were now hooves, although every time I would step on an edge I would find that what I can only describe as my foot claws would instinctually grapple and hold on to the ledge. The thought crossed my mind that i might be able to hang up-side down from the ceiling using this but I decided I was better off without a broken neck.
It was as I was pondering the extent of my new physical prowess that I heard a ruckus from afar. My hearing had been augmented by my new form and I heard all as if it was right next to me. I began to run to see what the commotion was about, at full steam I was moving faster that I had ever before in my life, and yet I was not moving as fast as I was supposed to. I was supposed to be able to teleport wherever I wished to go, and so again the thought crossed my mind of where where the powers owed to me in this new form.
I come to a halt in what appeared to be the lobby, and at the edge of the massive gap in the building I see an armored man, kneeling behind a makeshift shield. I had seen this mans form before but I could not place it, but what I did see was more alarming still. In front of him I spied several individuals closing in for a kill. The Armored man seemed to be injured already, so now the choice was clear. My code of honor would not let me stand by and watched as this man was slaughtered without glory.
I pull the iron sword from my back.
"Lets hope I'm as durable as Kain too.........god I'm stupid."
And with that I leap forward towards the attacking group, sword thrust in the air, my new fangs barred. And as I feel the thrill of the forthcoming battle I couldn't help myself, I had to say it.
"VAE VICTUS!!"

smashbro turned to see what happened as Henry was hit by an arrow and cried out. Roy, or Kismet he should say, seemed to be shaken at this, and turned to Kevin. he looked back, trying to be understanding and put on a serious face, but in all honesty he wanted to smile. He was used to crap going down, albeit not this, but he could keep his composure because he was doing what he loved most. Helping people.
But thinking of all of this made him forget what was happening. He saw something out of the corner of his eye, and quickly swung at it. The fairy fell to the ground, unmoving, and he swore to himself. He didn't want to be a killer. But they had attacked first, so what choice did he have?
"Move on, once we get to the ship we'll be set. You stay with Angel and Kune and Medli. I'll go back for Kai." Kevin had to knock away two more fairies on his way up, but finally they reached the airship. He stood in the doorway as the others went in. "Kismet, you should be able to defend them, but just call if you need help." Seeing his discomfort, he added, "You'll be fine."
On the way back, he was not attacked again, despite the fairies rushing in the same direction as him. He did notice, though, that there was a few newcomers in addition to those they left behind. But first he had to attend to Kai. He saw him sitting there, arrow in his arm. Kevin took out the bag and told Kai, "This'll hurt but go with it," and took out the arrow. Of course it did hurt, but Kevin gave him a drink of Vulnerary to heal himself. As if by magic, the wound was gone.
Kevin then turned to address the newcomers. "Everyone here, listen up! We need everyone to gather here. Dobs(Persia dude), Jukan(anime someone or other i forget), Sharpay (Peach), BB, ugly dude who looked like he would kill me if I called you ugly (Kain), Happy Fox, and dude, man who looks like...i don't know, you (Travis). Oh, and explodey dude, Jade. We need to head out. I'm running low on supplies, and the ship is waiting to get us to safety or somewhere at least. Just btw, I'm smashbro, as the character Aran, but I'm goin' by Kevin here."

"Thankee-Sai." Henry said slowly, quoting the Gunslinger novels from Stephen King. Good writer, King.
This time things were going to turn out differently- no more cowering behind a shield. Nodding in thanks again to Smashbro but paying little attention to what he said, Henry allowed himself a moment of blind rage against the nearest aggressor, who had been reloading their bow. The sight of him rushing was enough to force the victim to drop their crossbow altogether, drawing instead a weapon, which met Henry's in a flash of steel. With a wicked smile on his face, Henry began to swing wildly, working his enemy's hips in a set pattern, which they caught onto quickly, and already they were preparing a counterattack.
Gotcha.
Orbiting his sword upward as he did every time he swung low, a fabulous trick was played on the opponent when the momentum of the weapon died all at once, instead striking clumsily in the unarmored neck of the foe, who toppled to the ground in response to a strong kick from their attacker. They would likely live from the wound, provided they got attention before they bled to death, but they were out of this battle, at least.
Taking two arrows in his shield, Henry's blind rage subsided, and he took in the shock of Kain's arrival. Only one person here would choose Kain, and he knew exactly what to expect from him.
