Is there a rule against posting in Old Topics?

No, I don't think so...why are so mean to those that post in old topics? If a topic looks interesting I think you should go ahead and post in it. If it is a rule, then make it visible to everyone. And if you, referring to mods here, see a topic hasn't gotten air time in long time then just simply lock it! Not yell at a new member for things they don't even they shouldn't be doing.

1. We're not mean to people who do that, we're usually just like "Please don't post in old topics,thank you"
2. It's not usually new members who do it, it's usually older members that know about the rule already, but still do it.
3.There IS a rule posted, but no one can find it. I remember the topic specifically being made.
4. We mods make lock topics only when required to be locked. We don't randomly go looking for topics just to lock a bunch of them.

Exactly what Twilight said. There is absolutely no rule against posting in out-of-date topics. If you feel a topic is no longer needed, simply lock it as Twilight said. No need to bark at new members for doing something they didn't know was wrong.

Thank you for saying this Twlight. That means alot. It is not posted anywhere, and I personally think it's a silly rule in the first place. I would rather we stick to old threads then having 10 of the same thread.. >_>

I as well think it's a silly rule.. Like Angel said, we might just see a multitude of similar topics if one is not allowed to post in a old one.

I'm on the fence with this because i see how its annoying sometimes, but theres really nothing wrong with reviving older topics. w.e
