Quite often when I come here, it tells me that I have been banned. Yet when I select "Log In", it says "You have 0 messages". Obviously I haven't been banned if I'm still a member.
Can someone explain?

Thats what happened with me a few times. Try this Bert. When it happens, Click on the 15 min instead of w/e you got it on. Then try it. Thats what I did

Actually, just click the link near the message saying you've been banned that takes you to the main page on the forum...that's what I did.

The message was "Sorry, you have been banned from this forum".

Perhaps your IP address shares with one of the forums banned ip addresses? Ip addresses can be shared, but they often change I believe.

They can only be shared if you and the guy that got banned is on the same router. So either your sibling is banned, and you tried logging on, or it was a honest mistake by the admin and he fixed it.
