"Please, sir! Anything else! I've given you everything I own, my savings, my admission! I-if you give me another month-"
"Another month, and you tell me you can pay for the interest? Don't try to lie to me, you know I'm the swindler here. I'm afraid I've gotten everything I would want from you. Perhaps, however, if you gave me your daughter..."
The impoverished man looked up to Ikura, his face pale and fearful. Poor sucker, he had never realized what risks there were in joining the ranks of the Ikoi Group without proper knowledge. Didn't he know that underneath the casino group was an entire web of loan sharks and multi level marketing ploys? Or that the corporation that he would join was merely just another red herring for the police, an unstable pyramid that was meant to collapse within due time? Or that the contract he had signed ensured increased interest should he fail to bring more people into the Ikoi Group's clutches.
He certainly didn't know about Ikura's relentless payment options. To a yakuza member, it really didn't matter how you paid the money: Everything could be liquidated in due time. Your business, your blood, even the life of your wife and children could be poured into money. Innocent yuppie must have realized that Ikura would go this far, right?
"My... daughter...?"
"Yes, your daughter, you encumbering moron," Ikura spat out as he took out a registration form, "If you sell your daughter's life away, we'll forget about your debts. Oh, she won't be brought into anything filthy, of course. It's rather simple, just let us take over her academic, her social, and marital life, and her life will pay back yours. She'll be in good hands with the Ikoi Group."
Oh, jeez, he was hesitating again? Well, of course. Only an indecisive chump like him could be tricked into something as simple as a loan to a betting ring. In fact, all it took was a simple lie. Ikura snapped his fingers, causing a blood sigil to scrawl along the back of his hand. 4281 in Life. "Well, it's been fun-"
"W-wait! Hand me the forms, I'll have them mailed to you in time!"
"Not enough. Do them now."

Just like that, another bargaining chip was under his table. Not only was the man going to continue accumulating debt for him, but now his daughter could be married or traded or sold off to the other groups. Maybe the governor Iwatashi would want her? Mm, well there's plenty of time for that. Really, though, what a pathetic man. How is he able to go home and talk to his wife and daughter? He looks scrawny and shrunken, but he's got the same heart as a demon. Too bad his brain's too rotten to make use of it. It doesn't matter, Ikura will be sure to make good use of that blackened soul once payday was up.
Ikura himself felt no shame. He was just cleaning up the scum of the earth, after all. If he made a few yen while doing so, then it was the price the universe paid for having such a good moral janitor. It's not like he had anyone to go home to and lie with and lie to. The swindler walked up to the entrance of the Tosatsu Manor's main arena to see what fights were going on now. Two young girls... outsiders from the looks of it. Huh, guess the mansion's staff had a change of heart. Wonder what this would mean for the rest of the Ikoi Group's affiliation here.
