Mobius
Various Sonic titles
Mobius is the homeworld of the Mobians and humans. Much of the world is governed by the United Federation which is itself led by the President, while some territories are under the control of the Eggman Empire. However even territories that are not completely controlled by the Eggman Empire have bases stationed within them which are run by Egg Bosses.
Mobius (also known as Mobius Prime, due to its place in the multiverse) was actually a future version of Earth, and according to this universe's timeline, Earth's year would be approximately 14,017 CE, with Mobius' calendar year at mid-late 3237. It is still unknown exactly what was the starting point for their calendar, but its was likely calculated using what the Echidna Tomes call the Days of Fury. Mobius has endured many conflicts, including the Great War, the first and second Robotnik Wars, and a failed attack by the Xorda. Much of it was also under the control of the Eggman Empire, though some sections of it remained free from its tyranny.Green Hill ZoneBeing a paradise with green fields and blue lakes, it features big waterfalls, palm trees, rotating flowers, totem poles, and iconic checkered soils. People can also go through large shuttle loops and tumble down tunnels, but they have to watch out collapsing platforms, spikes, and spinning tree trunks with spikes. The city is a constitutional monarchy, with an economy dominated by tourism and precision machinery. Politically, it does not appear to be part of the United Federation, or under the protection of the Guardian Units of Nations.
Reigning monarchs apparently eschew the title "King" or "Queen", and Soleanna's sovereign is generally known as 'Duke' if male or either 'Duchess' or 'Princess' if female. The small nation is apparently wealthy and prosperous; with its urban environments bearing resemblance to modern Mediterranean cities. However, Soleanna is shown to possess highly advanced technology, as is evident in Aquatic Base, a research lab underneath the ancient Royal Palace (located in Kingdom Valley).MonopoleThe true name of Future City. Spagonia's clock towers, especially a particularly tall one in the middle, possibly resembles the Big Ben clock tower in London, England, as well as clock towers found commonly throughout towns and villages in the country. The architecture of Spagonia's houses, streets, and cathedrals as well as orange tiled roofs are likely to be based off those seen in Italy, Spain, and France, most notably from the Italian city of Siena. The majority of Spagonians also get their names from Italian culture, such as Gigi, Ciccio and Mauro. Another feature of Spagonia that is derived from Western Europe are the aqueducts, which are found throughout Europe. Hallowmoon, also called the Feast of Sun and Moon, is an annual festival in Shamar where the residents switch their daily and nightly routines to pay thanks to the Moon. Hallowmoon originates from the Shamaran custom of giving thanks to everything they see, and their devoted worshiping of the Moon and Sun. Believing in the philosophy that there cannot be morning without the night, the people of Shamar holds Hallowmoon for an unspecified period of time at a certain point each year as a way to give thanks to the Moon for bringing forth the Sun each morning.
During Hallowmoon, it is custom for the people of Shamar to pay their thanks by switching each of their daytime and nighttime routines. This means that the people perform their daily work and activities at night, while they rest and sleep during the day. When the Moon comes out during nighttime, the people of Shamar begin saying their prayers to it, expressing their gratitude to it for bringing forth the morning and watching over them.
Despite being a meaningful celebration, the personal dedication to Hallowmoon varies between the people. People such as Labib finds Hallowmoon annoying, because it messes up their daily routines, while others such as Utba are so devoted to Hallowmoon that they spend all their time praying, leaving them extremely sleep deprived.
