1. All fighting is to be done in the arena. Any violence outside of the arena will not be tolerated. Do you KNOW how long it takes to get these carpets cleaned? Do you WANT to find out?
2. While OCs are preferred, SOME canons will be permitted. You don't have to fight to be permitted to live within the Tosatsu Manor, but we do request that you have some logical reason for wanting to take up room. Some characters who seem to be illogical, irrational, or just plain unusable within the walls of the Manor will be declined immediately.
3. YOU MAY KILL. YOU WILL NOT BE GIVEN PENANCE IF YOU WISH TO NOT BE KILLED. BE PREPARED FOR BLOOD. BE PREPARED TO DIE. BATTLES CAN RANGE FROM PG13 TO R DEPENDING ON SITUATION.
3-a. Deaths/kills will only be allowed if the victim gives approval. If the other person believes that they died unfairly due to circumstances beyond their control, then we side with the victim. Please write responsibly and don't be a dick.
4. That being said, we're still held by Proboards and site contract. Make sure whatever you do here does not break SBF or Proboards rules/regulations.
5. You are allowed to apply for up to 5 characters. Because of this limit, characters who come as a GROUP, or a PAIR must be apped and counted INDIVIDUALLY, though this will not mean they cannot fight together in battles.
6. You are allowed to prepare a match and fight between 2 of your own characters (that is, have a thread with yourself). Extensive abuse of this kindness may lead to revoking of your rights within Tosatsu Manor along with removal of this rule. You have been warned.
7. Furthermore, all posts within arena matches must meet a limit of 200 words per post! This is to prevent unfair abuse of the listed rules, and also to make sure that combat threads will have enough material for extensive writing. You're in an arena, make sure you detail and make your fight entertaining for your partner and your spectators to read! Outside of the arena, there is no real requirement besides your own moral obligations.

Q: What IS the Tosatsu Manor?
{Spoiler}Tosatsu Manor isn't actually my house or anything. It's a sort of guesthouse/meeting area for the higher ups in the nation. King Artamos uses it like, super rarely since the empire got huge and the palace was renovated. I think. So he, like, renovated the whole place and now it's like a casino type thing? Like a hotel kinda? I mean, so I like to hang around here and manage the place like how I should be doing. Cause it's not like I have any more power past that... Except it's soooo blooddamn boooring around here! I'm not even allowed to gamble, so what am I supposed to do?! How come all of THEEESE losers get to have fun while I have to sit in a stuffy office room while making ten thousand million phone calls?

Q: I'm ready to fight! What options do we have?
{Spoiler}Speak with the arena front to request a match, and the system will bring out a monster or human opponent for you to face, courtesy of the Tosatsu Manor. If you want to fight a specific person, I will need permission from your opponent and an agreement on which mode to operate under. The modes of combat are as follows:
Standard - A no time limit, no limits all down all in beat down! I don't have much to say here, just feel free to destroy everything.
Tournament - Quick matches used to help speed up tournaments. Each match only lasts 5 turns, 2 actions per turn, for a total of 10 actions per player. The fields are generally more terrained and tactically inclined to match. These are meant to show a person's prowess in resource management and overall ability to take advantage of their environment. Can either be a singular quick match, or a best 2:3 or 3:5 set.
Tosatsu Standard/Tosatsu Tournament - My personal favorite, only because you can only play Tosatsu rules within the Tosatsu Manor! The match will either follow Standard or Tournament rules, but will now include interference from I, the Lady Slaughter! Each match will take place in a different arena, which operates a certain "game" that will exist alongside your match. If anything, properly playing the game will grant you advantages which you may be able to use to strike a decisive blow. Choose to bore me, or if fates decide you were destined to lose, well, I'll be sure to make your death look pretty! While there will be a list of revealed and used Tosatsu games, you cannot request to play a specific game. That would be unfair and boring for me.

{Spoiler}If the site ever starts using a coin/currency system, rest assured that victories within the Tosatsu Manor will also give you bonus loot. But even so, your victories and losses will be recorded and you will gain points based off the amount of posts in a singular COMPLETED fight. If you cannot decide a strict winner and loser, your thread will not be tallied.
Well what CAN I use these points on? THAT.... has yet to be decided! But we're looking at things such as custom titles, custom rankings, graphics, and I might even drag my heels and get someone to make a custom posting template for your fancy! I dunno, world's your oyster and all that crap.
