Location: Victorian City
The air was cool and the moonlight soft, but Lothwellyn knew it was it was to be an ill-fated night. The streets were empty and homes silent. Everywhere the curtains were drawn shut, and there was nary a soul to be found. Save for Lothwellyn’s silent footsteps, the town was silent. As he looked to the moon, a fog began to descend across the town, smothering it in twilight.

Dimentio was looking up at the night sky. It was a full moon as the environment was at the perfectly soothing temperature. On a Moonlit stoop overseeing where the mysterious stranger was standing. In his hand he had a banjo and he began to play it with much skill. A slick smile came on his face. ♪" Now we must dueeel like two gleaming banjos on a moonlit stoop~" ♪ The jester laid back a little as he looked up at the moon's night sky, his foot tapping to the beat. On a moonlit stoop indeed this was.

Lothwellyn stopped as the music reached his ears. It echoed jarringly off the city's cold stone walls, and the fog muffled its strange melody. It was an eerie, disjointed sound, and it did not belong. Lothwellyn wanted nothing to do with it.
But he was under contract to investigate this place, and a job was a job. Hissing quietly and baring his teeth, he stalked into the night, heading towards the sound. And in time, he located its source - though he was taken aback when he did.
What was this strange creature in the fog, he wondered. He'd come up from behind on the thing, and it had not yet taken notice of him. Whether it be child or imp, god or demon, he was not sure. All he knew was that he disliked it mightily. Warily, he emerged from the fog, saying nothing. Instead, he sent a burst of echolocative clicks into its back as way of hello.

Dimentio could sense the intruder coming from a mile away. The moment he was behind the jester he warped off to safety on the ground below. "Ahahahah... So at last we meet... At long last I get to meet my hapless victim my oh yes! "
The jester warped behind the man and stuck his head over his should in a really awkward yet uncomfortable manner. "You've kept me waiting... I've kept my eye on you for so long my friend.. Ah ha ha" Dimentio then warped in front of his new opponent. "I've been looking for strong powerful warriors to become my minions for when I one day accomplish my goal of destroying all worlds and making new perfect worlds all for ME! Me me all for ME!!! AHAHAHAHAHHA!" The jester then gave a grin as he looked into this man's eyes. "You look pretty tough but not too bright if you came to fight ME! Ahhh to end your game or give you an eternity as my mindless minion... that will all be decided by my mood. Heh heh..." Dimentio was lost in though there for a second thinking about how to deal with this character.

The jester had a lot to say, but Lothwellyn wasn't listening. Warping behind the Embraced had been a bad idea. Lothwellyn roared in rage and alarm, and the God within him woke with his anger.
The moment the imp appeared behind him and placed his head over his shoulder, tendrils of blood erupted from Lothwellyn's neck. Crystallized into glittering crimson spears, they exploded towards Dementio's face - only inches away.

Dimentio laughed at the man as the attack phased right through what was thought to be the original Dimentio.... but it wasn't... it was merely a clone. The clone Disappeared as the real Dimentio appeared a distance away from his foe.... laughing wildly. "Ahahahahahah do you really think you can damage me that easily? Ah ha.... Do you know who I am? I am the master of dimensions, the pleaser of crowds! I am Dimentio! Remember the name well! "
Dimentio stretched his arms out in midair as he began to taunt his foe. "Oh it's a good thing that was just an illusion! That attack was SOOO fierce! A direct blow from something like that would've ENDED me for sure! Oh yes indeed... But now it's MY turn! Ah ha haaaa~"
Dimentio split into three of himself surrounding the man. The jesters' created a blast of fire at their finger tips and then launched it at him. But were the attacks solid attacks or just illusions to confuse the foe? This jester was always one for playing dirty tricks on people.

(OOC: I'm not going to object, since we'd have ourselves a very short match otherwise, but we both need to be super clear on what we're doing in our posts. Make sure you state right away whether something is an illusion or not - it'd be easy for someone to feel like you decided on the spot to make Dimentio an illusion, simply to unfairly avoid the attack. The result would be exactly the same, Lothwellyn would still have attacked and Dimentio would still have been fine; it just adds transparency for everyone involved. The jester continued to speak, but Lothwellyn was beyond listening. The bloody spears retreated back into his body and he whirled again, jaws snapping, and let out a piercing shriek. An intense stream of echolocative clicks pulsed outward - not as an attack, but simply to cloud the air with noise and sensation. Lothwellyn pumped his diaphragm, expanding his massive lungs to make himself look larger. He was reacting without thought, operating on base instinct. Conscious perception returned with Dementio's mad laughter however, and he gave only a tooth filled snarl in response. The creature split into three, Lothwellyn opened his mouth wide, and suddenly all the light was gone from the world. The God within him devoured it, funneling it into the mouth of Its host, and created a sixty foot sphere of impenetrable blackness. Not even the flames from Dementio's attack produced any light within that sphere. Using his echolocation to guide him, Lothwellyn dashed to the left as flames swirled around him, licking his heels and splashing harmlessly against his enchanted cloak. In a moment he was at the railing, and without a second's pause he vaulted over, down into the canal below. With a splash, he was in the deep, cool water.

As Dimentio floated there in the darkness there was a grin on his face. No matter which way he looked it was nothing more than complete blackness all around. He couldn't even so much as see his hand in front of his face. However he could sense the enemy trying to flee. The jester let out a hearty laugh as he devised a devious plan... Suddenly he heard a loud rumbling sound. What was the source of this sound. Upon further examination Dimentio realized that the rumbling sound was coming from his stomach. "Ahh booo... I can't be having this now... I'm hungry...." Knowing full well that the enemy would have a hard time seeing through his illusions, Dimentio filled the area in Dimentio clones. However Dimentio could only actively use 7 clones in battle totaling in 8 Dimentios. There were now a total of 75 Dimentios just aimlessly wandering about the darkness if being nothing else than an obstacle. Meanwhile the real Dimentio warped out of the area. He then made his way into the city where a local hot dog stand could be seen. Upon the vendor seeing this jester he ran off in fear screaming like a little girl. With the vendor out of the way, the jester took a hot dog, put it on a bun, applied some ketchup, before warping back onto the battle field a good distance away from the action. He just sat back in the grass as he began to eat his hot dog watching his enemy from a distance. The jesters could sense his copies going crazy from within the infinite darkness... Life was good right about now. Some food for noms and a luscious day at that.

All of this, however, went completely unnoticed by Lothwellyn.
Now deeply submerged within the canal, he allowed himself a moment of respite. Whether the creature above was god or demon he did not know, but he had no intention of doing battle with it. His contract was to investigate the city, and he had not been paid for courage or valor.
He sunk slowly to the bottom, recalling the map he'd studied earlier that evening. The canals ran all throughout the city, splitting off from a central river that flowed directly through the town's middle. All he had to do was follow the current, and he'd soon find the main sluice gate.
Snapping his jaws shut, he bid the God within him to return to sleep, and light blinked back into the world. With a quick glance above, he began undulating his body, dolphin like, and began following the current.

Dimentio was causally eating his hot dog when he noticed the foe was getting away from him. As soon as his food was done a sadistic look came on his face. "Now where does he think he's going?" The jester wondered. Having full control of the clones he used his own energy signal to call his clones to him. Once the group was back together the group of 86 Dimentio's went after their foe. However only 8 of them could attack. The jesters conjested the current and blocked off their foe's exit as all the jesters laughed wildly in unison.
