Everyone has their own opinions and I thought this would be an interesting question(s). Do you think there is an afterlife? Do you go by religion or proof? What do you think the afterlife is like?

Before I say anything, this should probably be moved to seious discussion, not sure if i still have that power. Everyone has their own opinions and I thought this would be an interesting question(s). Do you think there is an afterlife? Do you go by religion or proof? What do you think the afterlife is like? Is there an afterlife? Yes, I think so. And if anyone would like to argue, then when we're both dead, prove it to me. ... Oh wait, you wouldnt be able to, cause there'd be nothing. Well, at that point it wouldnt really matter, so yeah, I believe. religion or proof? for some proof, see above ^^^. As for religion, im not very religious at all, but i believe there is something after this life, and someone up there, whatever kind of god it may be. I'm a confimed Christain, but still, not a strong member, just...I believe theres something. i think its called being agnostic but not sure. more later, gtg

I believe there is something after one is dead, but as for what it is, I'll find out when I get there, so no use fretting about it now.

Being agnostic, I have my own silly views.
Personally, I think that when you pass on you're reborn in another living being, human, animal, plant, whatever. That said, everything that happened in your previous live(s) is wipped from your memory, perhaps you were Abraham Lincoln WAY back then, but you wouldn't know nor would you be able to prove it now would you.
It has it's own positives and negatives.....

i have my views. I believe that when you die your spirit will pass on and go to heaven if you were a good person in your life but if you were a horrible person you go to hell.

I am actually stuck in the middle. My views is that, does every insect, bacteria, plant, and us humans have an afterlife? In a way I don't know if there is an afterlife. I just think that once someone is dead, it would be just like before they were born. My other theory is that you can be stuck in your memories forever.
I am not that religious because I was raised and believe in science and science destroyed my religious views. If there is an afterlife I do hope that I can be reunited with all of my family members, friends, and pets that I know throughout my lifetime.

Lol. I think there is something after your physical life but something tells me it will be a place where everyone is and that it will be the equalizer. Since Death is the destiny of everything that is given life, it would make sense to me if after that, everyone was equal and went to the same location. What do in life and all this karma stuff won't effect how your afterlife goes just because life is ironic like that

What do in life and all this karma stuff won't effect how your afterlife goes just because life is ironic like that The irony of being caught in the same cycles forever, with breaks coming along only once in a blue moon. Reincarnation makes sense to me. It's the one explanation for afterlife that has the most proof backing it up.

The one thing that I disagree with is that if you do bad stuff you go to hell and if you do good stuff you go to heaven. My arguement against it is that you have people with mental disorders, raised poorly, or that you are in a different country. Not everyone is perfect and what I think counts in life is the improvements and goals we achieve in life.

Although i don't completely count out the ideas of a real afterlife, i'm pretty sure you just die and that's it. Your brain is what would take you to another realm in a sense, but that would no longer be functioning. You just have dead molecules that you were made up of. Afterlife probably just consists of nothingness in my opinion. And i, obviously, do not believe that there is some AMAZING It somewhere where we can't get to, that judges us and changes our lives, etc.

Well, at that point it wouldnt really matter, so yeah, I believe. Have you ever thought that we might all just be different? If your theory was true, than the number of us would be a steady, unchanging number...which it definitely isn't. Even if you are right about there being an afterlife, your reasoning is way off. Personally, I don't think we'll ever be able to prove it either way, although I tend to agree with sidewaysj in that after life there is nothing.

I'm not really sure what happens in the afterlife... Though there have been things in my life which makes me believe that there is an afterlife. However kids have a deeper connection to the afterlife... and as we grow older we block out said connection and become desensitized...
I know I'm not making much sense, but well I've seen some very strange things in my life so far, that makes me believe in an afterlife

I'm not going to rule out the possibility of an afterlife, because the only way to know that there is one is to die, and unfortunately the dead cannot come back and tell us, "Oh hey, there's a place after this one. We have tea and crumpets."
So I think there is one. Personally I can't see how everything in the Universe is a product of chance alone, so there must be something after this life we are in now.

The biggest thing I have to say on the subject is this:
We can't know what comes after death. If you believe in another existence after this one and you die there are two possible outcomes. One, you go on to that existence and you were justified in your belief. Two, you cease to exist and it didn't really matter. If you believe there is no existence after death there are also two possible outcomes. One, you go on to another existence and you are either pleasantly surprised or horribly shocked. Two, you cease to exist and it didn't really matter
Thats the plain and simple of how I see it. Theres much more detail, but I don't want to rant.
