I'm trying to pull together a non-opening squee, but it's taking time. So here instead is another one. One that will be easy for me and is a cheap cop out.. but you won't know that will you?
Especially since no one will be reading this. Sadface.
There isn't alot to really overanalyze with this one, so instead I'm just going to post things about me and my feelings with this.
Hmm.. I guess a fun trivia fact would be that I've probably seen this 1:20-22 second long video more times than any other video clip from anything including VHS, DVD and TV ever. This used to be my "happy place" video.. so to speak.
Whenever this fangirl just needed to remind herself who she was, if she felt disconnected from herself and needed to be thrust back in.. this video was always a sure fire way to do that. I can't watch it if I wanna love anyone else but Sakura because this one will always make me remember why she's my top favorite character of all time. ^^
I have to say visually, this is so beautiful and that's what always captivates me. Sakura's expression is so adorable.. yet so beautiful. She looks young and old at the same time and while the "effects" are simple.. they really add to the feeling of beauty. I love of course that a ton of scenes are raining cherry blossom petals, I mean.. no other character has been perfectly symbolized by them than our lovely Kinomoto-san.
Her dress is so beautiful in this video and I have to say that all the beautiful angles of it makes this fangirl squee ever so much. I really want this dress, I've wanted this dress since I was 5 years old, and then especially the first time I saw it. This is in a nutshell, my dream dress. How dare this opening tempt me with it.
Starting at :43 and picking up, this video is just beautiful beyond words. Sakura is like a newborn flying in the air, hardly keeping her eyes open.. then the overhead Sakura is so adorable, then we get the glass multiuple reflection.. then the best part of the video.. the simple and elegant part where Sakura grabs a flying petal and cradles it to her heat before letting it go. In a way, it's the same way I take this video, and take this character and take these visuals and cradle it to my heart. It's pure love for me, nothing better in the world.
I don't think I'll ever be really tired of it.

Gosh, just reading this is making me literally bawwl like a baby. This was always a song that can inspire me because these words reach down to my soul. My dream and how I've always been chasing it, surely, it was my dreams... my feelings, my dreams.. are what caused me to want to listen to this.
Can they really change everything?
