Forum Rules: Read Before Joining

~The Smash Bros. Fansite Forums Constitution~

I. Spam
-Spam can be classified as anything that is irrelevant, unrelated, or just dosen't’t make sense outside of the spam sub board.
-Spammers will be issued 2 warnings via PM before a ban vote commences.
-All advertisement will be treated as spam. If a advertisement thread is created, moderators may close it immediately; sending the creator a PM with the reason why it was closed, and also notifying them that the PM is their 1st warning.(With the exception of the advertisement of a member's self-created site which can be displayed in their signature if they have 100 or more posts.)

II. Flaming
-Flaming can be defined as insulting other members, arguing (serious, insulting arguing, not joke or constructive arguing) cursing, or use of offensive terms or remarks outside of the Clans sub-board.
-Flamers will be given 2 warnings via PM before a ban vote commences.

III. Banning
-Flamers or Spammers with 2 warnings will be voted on for banishment.
-Special cases, such as sabotage or otherwise, will also be voted upon.
--i.e.) Sheik, Reaper
-The vote will be majority rules
-Once a member is banned they cannot be unbanned under any circumstance other than a violation of the above rule.
-A member cannot banned for a singe offense more than once, or otherwise be used in aiding the ban.
-- Ban levels are as follows:
Level 0. 5 minutes- 12 hours: (c-box only)
Level 1. 1 day.
Level 2: 1 week
Level 3: 1 mont
Level 4: 3 months.
Level 5: 6 months.
-- A C-box ban of Level 2 or lower will not result in any forum ban. A C-box ban of Level 3 or higher will result in the corresponding forum ban. A Forum ban of any level results in the corresponding cbox ban.
-- A perma-ban can still be set in place under specific circumstances and votings in staff. They can also be unbanned on votings in staff.


IV. Cursing, Sexual Related, and Racism
-Mild Cursing in casual discussion is allowed throughout the forum, this includes all threads, and the RPG. Curse words allowed are the mild mannered ones such as "crap", "damn", "pissed", "ass", or "hell". Censor anything worse with *asterisks.
-Moderate Cursing in casual discussion is allowed on the Cbox, Fanfiction, and in the Angry Rants board.
-If any cursing, however, is directed at any individuals in means of a derogatory fashion or as an insult, it will be claimed as flaming; consequences for this violation (see II. Flaming) will execute soon after.
-Sexual comments used in a casual manner are allowed. Examples would be:

"Aww man... I'm screwed." (Meaning that "you're in trouble")
"Dude, that attack was rape!" (Meaning that the attack was in a manner of speaking, well performed)

Comments such as the ones stated above are allowed. The comments such that could be defined as sexual harassment, innuendo (innuendo receives ONE warning), and other explicit sexual content is not allowed and will result in immediate banishment.
-Racism or prejudice of any sort against another guest, member, or staff member will not be tolerated, and will result in immediate banishment.
-Any indirect racist and prejudice comments that offend other members (i.e. Against whites, blacks, Asians, gays, etc.) will result in the violator being given ONE warning. If the violator does not apologize and cease, their banishment will soon follow.

V. Illegal Content
-- ROMs, viruses, hacks, etc. are forbidden on discussion of:
-- Obtaining
-- Performing
-- Distributing links

Informative Discussion is allowed.

Violators will be given 2 warnings to cease the forbidden stated above; followed by a banishment if warnings are ignored.

VI. Member Related
- Signatures[/size]
- Signatures are not allowed to be more than 700x350 in dimensions.
- Your signature cannot include insulting or otherwise offensive words or images, including and not including swearing at other members, sexist or racist remarks, sexually and violent explicit images.
- Due to the fact that not everyone has access to a high-speed internet connection, a limit of 1 animated GIF image per profile (this includes your avatar) is allowed. Please be courteous and keep it a small, bandwidth light image.
- If any member breaks any of these rules, they will be asked to change or remove the items in the signature. If you do not change it within 24 hours it will be changed for you.
- The Gaming Friend Code options on mini-profiles are for Friend Codes only. If you use them for anything else, they will be taken off.

VII. Becoming Staff
- We aren't taking any new staff members right now, when replacements are needed, an announcement will be made.
