“In this land we have defended
From all things dark and cruel
Now we are defenseless
In a time when Dragons rule”
The monstrous beast lay on the hard, rocky ground as the moonlight filled the sky. It was black, with three heads on snake-like necks that could reach the heavens. Along its necks and down its back the spikes continued until the tail ended, with a stinger like that of a scorpion. On its back were large wings that were transparent on the inside. The creature’s eyes were red, like the fires of Hell, and weakly stayed open. Its arms and legs were rather stubby, and while they could not support the creature’s body weight, they could definitely allow it to be mobile, even quick, if necessary.
The hooded figures surrounding the beast chanted the phrase numerous times, their voices coming together like a choir. They were wearing brown cloaks with hoods that covered their faces completely; not even an eye was visible.
The creature was inside a thin circle made of white powder, and the hooded figures stood outside of it.
As they chanted, the circle began to glow. Beams of light started rising up from each little speck of powder, and rose higher and higher like a wall. The wall of light was so high now, and the chanting stopped. From the skies, a beam of light descended to the middle of the circle.
“GROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!”
The roar from the beast was deafening and it started to fade away soon after the light hit it. The beam of light became thinner and eventually vanished, and the beast was gone.
Elsewhere, another hooded figure stood inside a cave, in front of a large wall. The ground beneath him started to shake and did so for a few moments before stopping.
On the wall was a door with a keyhole. The hooded figure pulled out a key from his cloak and slid it into the keyhole, turned, and pulled the door open. There, inside the room, was the same monster that the chanters had encountered. The winged monster lay there, breathing heavily, dying.
“Pathetic dragon”, the cloaked figure said in a deep voice. The dragon only looked at the man who stood in front of it. “A monster such as yourself, being defeated so easily, after you have terrorized us for so long.”
The dragon, already weakened from the attack it suffered earlier, did not reply. It simply lay there, in its pathetically weak state. The hooded man noticed a wound on the dragon’s chest, around the heart. It was oozing out blood.
<There is no possible way that a mere bullet did that to a beast like this,> the man thought to himself. He walked over to the dragon, to observe the wound. He saw something lodged in the dragon’s flesh, and went to grab it. With his thumb and index finger, he pulled out a bullet that was amazed to see it was like nothing he had ever seen. This was not an ordinary bullet. This was different.
“...Diamond?”
He looked over to the dragon and noticed that its eyes were closed. It also was not breathing. The man turned around and left the cave, leaving the dragon there to lay in peace.

Yeah I know it's kind of jumpy at some parts but screw you I haven't written in a while.
