This thread is made primarily for the testing of a thing. It will be tested by my timey-whimey machine, which goes "bing" when there's stuff. Please do not post unless I asked you to. There is no order, but don't post too many times. I'll post again when something happens as a reaction to your actions, or if an NPC is introduced. Thank you for your cooperation. If I invite you into this thread later, I will post when you come in to avoid confusion or clutter.
The air is thick and stale, and not a damned thing seems to be alive in this place. Each of you finds yourself in a dungeon cell, doubled up. (seeing as it's the first narrated thread you may choose your cellmate)
The cell's walls are made from a thick yellow stone and the bars are a blackened steel. Each cell has one pile of assorted hay and what may or may not be hair, as well as a hole in the ground in case prisoners feel the call of nature. Bones are scattered in each, but strangely enough they only appear to be skulls. The ceiling of the cells appear to be swirling black cloth that gives off a rather devilish vibe. There is no gatekeeper watching the cells and no visible source of light (none of the cells have windows) but the whole area still feels lit somehow. None of you remember how you arrived here nor what happened prior to you leaving here, but all of you remember seeing each other, but you can't place where.
You are only just awakening in this place. Go.

Kaos Drive was a young girl who had always played on the good, careful side of things. She was the type of person who almost never had anything bad happen to her.. ever. So you can guess her surprise when she woke up in a dark and damp cell. She looked around and felt like someone else was in here too.. but she couldn't see who. She didn't mean to though, she was feeling the fear build up.
Why? Where was she? Was she going to be okay? She couldn't remember what she could have done or who she could have run into to get herself in this mess.. but she guessed that it was probably the people she had been running away from this entire time.
The surface on the bottom of the cell was cold, she could feel it easily through her clingy bodysuit. Well, at least it was something else to think about. You see, the darkness was something that Kaos didn't like at all, and it was taking all of her will to focus on anything else. She laid back against the wall and closed her eyes, pretending as if the darkness was something that she was creating in her mind.
She kept in this position, waiting for something, waiting for the end to come, just.. waiting. Maybe just waiting for the panic to go away.

Captain Falcon opened his eyes. His face was pressed against cold, wet stone, and his nostrils assaulted by the horrific smell of human misery. Slowly, without revealing that he had regained consciousness, he surveyed his surroundings. He was locked in a dank, dark cell with a small girl. A fetid pile of hay lay in one corner, and a tangled mass of black…something in another. Black bars sealed him in, and seething black cloth covered the ceiling like ominous storm clouds. Skulls littered the floor.
This must be a Monday.
With a groan, Falcon lifted his face off the floor and sat upright, wiping the grime off his cheek. Where was he? How did he get here? He massaged the base of his neck, trying to piece everything together, but the answer eluded him. Had he been drugged at the club? Some punk back in Port Town had tried that stunt once. Once.
But wait, that wasn’t right. He had spent the evening at home, eating pizza and watching old Kung Fu movies. What on earth was going on?
Shaking himself to his senses, he focused on the girl. The poor thing looked frightened half to death, which was hardly surprising. “Hey,” he called groggily, peering through the gloom. “Are you alright? Where are we?”
In all likelihood, she had no idea. But that was alright. Because he was going to find out, and whoever put him in this cell was going to find out a thing or two as well.

"Ooh... anyone get the license of that freight train...?"
He was strewn out on the floor, completely groggy, dazed, and body felt so damp and so cold all at the same time. Sleep for some reason wasn't very refreshing in the least for Nouri. His first breath upon awakening was at least an eye opening experience though. For when he opened those dishy little eyes of eyes, it was so sudden and abrupt, it was as if he were asking "Good God! what is that smell?"What was a good question because it was rife with a stench most foul! Human waste? Most likely. Death and decay? Absolutely. Diseased limbs and such...? Lets hope not.
His surroundings weren't easy on the eye either. It was easy to see that he was in fact, locked away within some sort of cell. No openings or ventilation aside from the black iron bars blocking the clear path out in front of him. That much was quite obvious. The walls themselves were crudely crafted from some odd yellow stone and a ceiling with rather ominous looking black cloth. Scary but, as he looked about more, it was getting even creepier. The cell's floor had bones scattered to all corners. But they weren't just bones from any part of the body, they were all... skulls.
Unusual.. and quite curious. But the his next sight was the ghastliest one. Lying off in the corner, nested within a bundle of hay and.. something else was a shrunken shriveled little collection of flesh and bone, stuck in what seemed to be a rigid and awkward.. fetal position. This being who he could discern was a male was obviously malnourished and from the smell of him and the fact his mouth and eyes were wide open, he was.. quite dead.
"My company is dead man.. Someone obviously has a morbid sense of humor..." he wistfully spoke. The area was depressing enough but to see a man in such poor physical condition and suffering ever so much, it was truly heart wrenching. But surprisingly, he heard a voice. It was weak, raspy and yet.. in the silence of the cell, it was quite clear.
"I'm not dead.."
He spoke? That... thing lying in the corner actually spoke? Nouri was surprised but.. he didn't show it. He merely smiled towards the fellow and replied back to him.
"Really? Hm..." his smile became a just a bit more quizzical at that moment. "You buy that? Yeah, you know, I would think by how you look and that vicious odor filling this room with, that you died at least two days ago. But, its good to see you're well... alive and all"
Sure, some of that smell was from that man but some of it was from that hole in the center off to the side of the cell. But, that was nothing. In fact, the cell in its entirely was nothing. For a man like Nouri, escape would come in time but first, to gain a little information from his cellmate about this area would be nice. Nice if the guy decided to talk and all..

His voice brought her back, and she was shaking and hyperventilating. Tears were in her eyes as she looked up at him, reeling from the experience she had while becoming absorbed in her own thoughts. It was if she had entered some other girls life.. and it was scary.
Trying to pay attention to her surroundings, she focused on the man in front of her. He was... bizarre looking, but not in a really scary way. He looked like belonged in space or something, not in the jail-cell. She replied to him, brushing her hair out of her face.
She shook her head, and spoke softly. "No, I don't. I don't know how I get here.." she said, rubbing her eyes a little.
She smiled at him though, trying to be strong. "Can we get out of here?" she said, hoping that somehow this man might have already found a way to get out. A maiden could hope, anyway. She was already hoping he was friendly.

“Of course we can get out of here.” Captain Falcon said, smiling confidently. He rose to his feet and began pacing around the cell, carefully expecting everything he came across. The interior decorator certainly needed to be fired, but the architect had done his job. The stone walls were well laid, and the block bars firm.
And that was indeed a pile of hair in the corner. Wonderful.
Completing his circuit around the cramped space, he arrived in front of the girl. He smiled warmly at her and knelt down to her level.
“My name is Captain Falcon.” He said, removing his scarf and placing it in her small, trembling hands. “Go ahead and dry those tears up. I’ll have us out of here in no time.” Winking, he stood and turned his attention to the odd ceiling. The cloth covering seemed to writhe and twist, as if wind was flowing in from some source above. Either that or it was possessed by some ancient Sumerian demon or something.
He shook his head, and turned back to the bars. He could see other cells lining the hallway, but at this angle, was unable to see if anyone else lay within. Cupping his hands to his mouth, he resolved to find out.
“Anyone there?” He called, his voice echoing throughout the dreary hallway.

She thought about what he said, and his kindness. Surely this was a nice, caring man who was worth her time. Captain Falcon too? An interesting and fun name at that.. she giggled a little at the sound of it.
Trying to also help out, the small Kaos moved over and looked around too at the dark cell. She smiled and said softly.. My name is Kaos.. Kaos of the Drive family she said, still having family pride. She took a deep breath, trying to remain as calm as possible and then joined him in his calling.
"Hello? Anyone? Someone?" she said, her voice as loud as she could come up with.

That twisted husk of skin had begun wheezing and coughing shortly after Nouri spoke. He could have been disturbed by his words or more likely, he was actually sick from these terrible conditions he lived in. Our little bandit would have asked him about it but a sound far more profound had reached both his ears and those of the man. The voices of another fellow and a young girl crying out into the distance, asking if anyone was around.
Well, that was a relief to hear them! It would have been quite boring if the sickly looking guy really was his only company in this dank and dark place. That and he didn't even have to take a look outside of his corner to investigate or raise his own voice. Not bad for just sitting down and paying attention. But, a response had to be given. His hearing was sharp enough without the loud yelps and such to hear and in the short span of a second, the echo was somewhat annoying. The time to shout back was now. So like those who did so before him, he got up, made his way over to the bars, cupped his hands together, and yelled back.
"SHUT UP! I'M TRYING TO GAIN INFORMATION ABOUT MY SURROUNDINGS FROM WITHIN THIS SMELLY AND TACKY LOOKING CELL!"
What an answer and all in good fun too! But... considering how talking to others who could hear him was a good idea and how what he said could be taken the wrong way, he deemed it best to clear the air about that little statement.
"JUST KIDDING ABOUT THE SHUT UP PART THOUGH! WHAT'S UP?"
Maybe it was a dumb question but, it was an opener for a conversation and that was always neat.

"Attention. Subjects."
The voice crackled through unseen speakers, as he spoke the cloth chaotically shook and flattened out across the ceiling of each cell. It seemed almost to breath, like some kind of living animal.
"In exactly thirty seconds."
The voice drew a sharp breath, sucking in more wind than one would think it would need.
"The cellsssss will open. There are many things that will show up, exaacltyy nine of them. Yooooooou will fight each of them one at a time, the"
another sharp breath.
"Four of you."
The cloth over Nouri's cell rippled outward from the location of the dried husk that lay within it. A more dramatic sucking of air followed.
"Three of you, will need to kill to survive. IIIIIIIIf you do so survive theeen you willllll...."
A brief pause, time enough for someone to collect themselves.
"Be shown the exit, and you may leave. That is all."
A strong click filled the air, followed by the grinding of gears. The cell doors didn't sound like they had unlocked just yet, but even still the man's word had to be taken.
The cloths flopped, suddenly looking helplessly still hanging from the ceiling.
The science was just beginning.

"AH, NEVERMIND THEN! SEE YOU IN LIKE THIRTY SECONDS!" Oh boy, oh boy! A mysterious voice with a mysterious lisp and trouble taking breaths, Ceiling cloth that seemed to have a life of its own, and nine unseen foes that would soon appear! Just what could a rogue do in a time such as this? Go along with this little game of course. Like any man about to play a little game, he casually removed his coat, holding it up and away from the nasty grime that was upon the floors. Walking over towards his unfortunate new friend, he presented his back to him and knelt down, close enough so that he could grab
"Alright guy who looks like an adult sized fetus, Its showtime and all so... latch onto my back please."
Though the man was quite irritated by Nouri's playful little jabs at his appearance as of late, he didn't question him on this matter. Using the last of his strength, he wrapped his bony little arms around the young thief's neck. Nouri in turn helped him get his legs around his torso for added support.
"You do know that I'll just be slowing you down right? A smart man would leave someone who doesn't have much time left in the world in a situation like this." His argument did have sound logic behind it. Ruthless and cruel logic but it was logic nonetheless.
"Yeah, I would be better off leaving you here to be torn apart by whatever is coming. But, you are still alive and with an not so smart chap such as myself helping out, you have a chance to see the outside.. and get a bath because clearly, they haven't given you one in a while Oh Wilting One."
"My name is Jacob you know.."
"And I'm Nouri."
Carefully, he draped his coat over the husk who was called Jacob. It would offer a bit of protection from the chill in the air but more importantly, it would be some secondary support. He tied the sheaves of the coat together over himself and his new comrade tightly together, tying them in a decent knot. From there, he slowly made his way over to the black bars that were currently blocking their escape.
"Kay, all set. Now try to hang on as best as you can and deal with the fact that I'm gonna be moving about a lot. Oh.. and try not to get motion sick or anything like that.. I smell bad enough already"
Talking on Jacob's part was unneeded right now and he simply didn't have the strength to do so anyway. All of that was being used to try and cling on for dear life.
Any second now though, they would be free to face what horrors were in store for them.

Ah. So that’s how it was going to be.
“Alright kid, let’s do this!” He called to his unseen neighbor. The voice sounded young, and more importantly, fearless. That would be handy. He had put enough criminals behind bars to know that a prison fight wasn’t exactly a Sunday picnic, and who knew what sort of monstrosities lurked here?
Captain Falcon cocked his head calmly to each side. He’d dealt with monsters before. Whether they looked like men or beasts, they were the same inside. And the only justice for a beast in this situation was to put it down.
He strode quickly across the room to the girl’s side, thinking. The voice had said “the four of them”, yet Falcon had seen only the girl and heard only the boy. Where was the fourth? They’d find out. Looking down to the girl, he retrieved his scarf and nonchalantly tied it around his neck, casually tossing the end over his shoulder. He was a dashing hero, after all.
“Come on sweetheart, stick close.” He held out his hand, a devil-may-care grin on his face. “Don’t be afraid. I won’t let anything happen to you.”

The voice said she would have to kill? What did it mean she would have to kill... Kaos wasn't hardened.. she was completely green, in fact she wouldn't even know that term. She nodded, but she was able to defend herself if need be.
However, her attacks were wild and didn't chose friend from foe, and tended to scatter about all over the room. This battle setting was exactly the type of setting that was bad for her, when he would have companions..
All around, the noise or voice or whatever it was, well, it was really frightening for her. She had to start deep breathing, but Captain Falcon's presence made everything alot easier for her to deal with.
"I believe in you Captain Falcon! But I can help if you really need me to.. I just.. never have killed anymore before. Do we really.. have.. to.." she said, slightly whispering the last part. She didn't want to be a burden on him, that was the last thing she wanted. She just didn't understand why they were doing what they were doing at all.. couldn't they find the exit without killing anyone?

The little girl in white looked upon the cell doors with tears in her eyes. It hasn't been long since she had woken up in this strange new world but after going back to sleep and reawakening, she was stuck in another terrifying situation. She was being made to fight for some sort of science. An experiment or some sort of trail maybe? But besides that she wanted to get out of there. This place was small and dark. Skeletons were her only company and there was a giant hole in the back of the cell which smelled stinky. This was all so sudden, so terrifying. She didn't know what to do. The young girl just curled herself up in a ball and sat down next to the cell gates. 30 minutes.... 30 more minutes till she sees something even more scary. All she had to do was run, keep running until she could find a way out. Thats all she could do at this point. A tiny pyrefly began to circle around her in the strangest type of manner. She didn't even pay attention to it, all she did was embed her face into her arms.

Click.
Every door to every cell resounded with a powerful sound of metal sliding across metal ending with a harsh click. The doors fell open, slamming harshly onto the ground, shattering upon impact, proving that they were merely a sham to begin with.
"The first test. Has. Begun."
The voice was responding again, but there was no time to do anything.
The cloths that made up the ceilings suddenly fell, enveloping the subjects in it's dark cling. The feeling of weightlessness washed over them before they were deposited in the same cells, with a bit of a change in decor.
The walls now were a harsh red, writhing and breathing as skin. The "bed" was not truly a clump of hair- the cell bars bones. They didn't appear to be the insides of anything, more like skin. A filthy smell filled the air, the smell of intense body odor surrounding everything and clinging to it. Sweat poured from the walls, making the floors slippery- notably, the ceiling was still stone.
"The first beast. Zanith, from beyond the Grave, theeeeeee master of G-g-g" a brief pause, a sharp breath. "Gozer, the Gozzzerian."
The sounds of... something filled the halls. The sounds of meat slicing, writhing, and bleeding. Some way down the "hall" there was someone, or some thing, doing some serious damage to whatever made up these walls. And it was coming this way.
"K-k-kill it if you intend toooo...." A sharp breath was taken, suddenly, more excitedly than before. "S, survive."

Those strange veils of darkness that decorated their rather drab surroundings had a more meaningful purpose after all. Of course, it wasn't everyday that something would fall upon you and reveals to you that all isn't what it appears to be. In fact, this place seemed to be.. alive. Though the ceiling had not changed, The spry bandit and his new companion were greeted by a more organic and fleshy interior. The walls pulsed and throbbed, sweating so furiously that the floor was completely covered in it. At least that explained the damp floors but the bars were made of bone too?
Menacing but Nouri didn't seem the least bit fazed by this cosmetic change but, his partner was. How did he know? He felt him trembling upon his back and his limbs clamped over his body, noticeably tighter then before hand. For any ordinary person, this would be terrifying, that point was granted. But for the sake of survival, that death grip would just have to loosen up. "Hey, I know this is scary and all but.. you are making it harder to move. Ease up a little will you?" Nouri politely stated as crept past the bones strewn out onto the floor. Jacob grew silent but, his grip loosened gradually. Was he losing his spirit to move on in the face of all of this?
No way! Nouri couldn't have that happen at all! This had his first time actually being around and about in a while and now, there was a chance for escape. Perhaps chatting a little would help lighten the mood. But.. on what? All he could think about was this place and for now, he decided to work with that. "I had like this once... minus the walls having sweat glands and all. Pretty spooky too but, I wonder how our friends will take this whole thing. Wanna take bets on who screams in fright or runs out in a panic?"
For this efforts though, all he got back was a low groan. Not one of someone in pain but someone who was clearly not interested in this sort of topic at all. In fact, he sounded kinda annoyed! The nerve of that guy at a time like this! But, the young man could take a hint so, he dropped it all together. "Fine fine.. lets just wait for everyone else to come out." he spoke, pouting as he did. "Can't you at least humor me? My money is on the girl I heard earlier anyway.."
