NES Presents: Week SIX: By That Jukan Guy You Probably Heard About’s turn!
Hey everyone!! Misami-Chan here…..wait the title says Jukan right? Well who the heck is Jukan?
The answer is elementary my dear Watsons of NES, I AM JUKAN!!! That’s right, no mistake about it Jukan = Misami-Chan and Misami-Chan = Jukan
Now, what do I have in store for you all? TONS OF THINGS!!! Not really
Seeing as all weekend I had a cold, I have been able to come up with NOTHING!!! That’s right, NOTHING….so this whole thing is pretty much B to the S that has come out of nowhere.
Anime News!!
Ok, this is Jukan were talking about, of course there would be anime!! What kind of Jukan update would it be without it from our beloved otaku? This one has appeal for all our fans of light-hearted anime fans out there, as well as our loli fanatics. This anime took me by surprise, but I LOVE it to death!!! I present you all
Picking a closing was difficult, as every episode ends differently depending on who the main focus of the episode was. This was probably my fav, it’s so freaking CUTE!!
This anime, Hanamaru Kindergarten is about a bunch of kindergarten children as they live out their lives. The story follows 6 year old Anzu and her two friends Koume and Hiiragi (Hii-Chan for short) as they live out their lives, and try and help out Anzu with her goal of gaining the affections of her teacher Naozumi Tsuchida. Now despite how this sounds, Tsuchida only sees Anzu as one of his students, and as a result, has to attend daily school life, while dealing with Anzu’s constant attempts to make him notice her, or show her feelings to him.
Loli or not, this anime is VERY cute, and fun to watch. It has this innocent atmosphere around it that just makes ANY fan of cute and chibi anime fall in love with it….
And now……PANDANEKOSIZE!!!

Probably Kinda Old Video Game News
As some of you may be aware of, I have recently softmodded , or hacked for those who do not know what softmod means. Now since December of 2009, a game was released in Japan. Maybe not the highest selling, or most popular game, but a good game, suited to certain fans out there in the JRPG world. Those who have played ANY of the games in the Tales series probably understand where I am going. I speak of Tales of Graces for the Wii.
As I said, I hacked my Wii. One thing it is allowing me to do, is make everyone over at tOFs hate my guts, because it allows me to play other region games without going through the hassle of importing the game. But I have played SOME of it, not a lot, just enough to get a feel for the controls. Here is my review.
Tales of Graces starts off with two little boys playing….well that’s nice and all. I loved how control was given RIGHT AWAY with no long intro (side the anime movie sequence shown above) which takes a while to finish. This allowed me to get strait to what I really wanted to see about this game, seeing I do not know enough Japanese to make out the storyline without online help.
You play a young boy named Asbel, and his younger, shier brother Hubert right off. Not long after, you encounter a mysterious girl just lying on the ground near a cliff, with a gigantic tree in the back. Now, this stuff is JUST the prologue, I have NOT gotten to play the main game yet, as the part where you play as a child is probably like 1/16 of the game knowing a tales game. They are known for being EXTEREMLY long…
Battle System
So far, my thoughts on the battle system are simple. It is very easy to control and fluid. Although I haven’t been able to try it yet, the dual-style system is something to be noted, as this is the first game to incorporate more than 1 style per character, as well as allowing the player to SWITCH styles in battle, as a result, the game seems to have two characters bundled into one, which I LOVE!! Now like in other tales games, switching the main out for another character is recommended, finding what character suites your style, and which combat-type is the easiest for you may be wise. But here I am speaking in theory, as I have not actually gotten to try this style as of yet. But when that time comes, I will update in my next NES presents.
Now what of us Americans? Well there has been NO confirmation that we will be receiving an English localization, but it seems that there is a chance Europe will find themselves with a release though. What hope do we have? Good question…lets ask YouTube shall we?
Well if that doesn’t scream ENGLISH LOCALIZATION then I don’t know what does!!
TAGGED!!!
Recently on YouTube, I go to watch my favorite Lets Player’s videos…no big deal right?
Until I found a video by him saying he was tagged. I was like, SWEET!! 5 facts about my favorite LPer!! So as I watch, he gets to who HE is tagging, and go figure, I WAS ONE OF THEM!!! Lets watch my video!!
I tagged two people here on NES, and I want to see your TAAGGED videos within this week. The people I have tagged are in the video, again, only tagged the two people I felt were most capable of making a video, be it audio like mine, or completely text based. Still, I have to say I HATE YOU FOR THIS SHARINGAN LUST!!! Now I get to take my rage out, by watching 4 people I know make one too!! Ah sweet revenge!!
Trivia
Today’s trivia is for our Tales fans out there.
The tales series is LONG running, and is in fact divided into two types of titles. One being Mothership(main series), other being Escort (spinoff). Now then, for 100 Rupees, how many Mothership titles are there in all?
Answer first and win!
