I. Personal Overview
Name: Mortalitas Obtutus
Nickname/Alias: The Death Monger, God King of the Deadites
Gender: Male
Physical Age: The body is 35 the soul is over a millennia old.
Date of Birth/Creation: Date of the creation of the Necronomicon.
Race: Aasier
Height: 6' 2"

Birth Place: The Dead Marsh
Appearance:
Mortalitas is a tall and lengthy being, lean and stream lined. He wears a deep black satin dress coat at all times which falls to the ground covering his stitched together black leather pants and leather pirate style boots. The coats bottom has four splits one each up the front and back and one each on either side so as to allow for unconstrained movement. The coat is kept closed by four large rectangular tarnished gold clasps running down the length of his chest, at the ends they are pointed and dig into the fabric. On his hands are wrapped withered black cloth up to the fingers, on which he wears a variety of standard and claw rings on both hands.
His hair is long black and scraggly, having a greasy appearance to it and he always combs the entirety of it over to one side. His face is a most disturbing site, a large, angry hair-less brow looms over two stark white pupil-less deep set eyes. His skin is a dark blotched grey color, however, he has no nose or lips, on that entire lower portion of his face is only bone, for the skin has been visually pushed and stretched back like a curtain, leaving horrid deep wrinkles all across his face.
On either side of his head he wears a metal ornament that lowers on the sides of his face like a roman helm, the tops of which jet up like two black, metallic horns.
Personality:
Mortalitas is a self loving, self righteous and outright evil being. His only goal in existence is to devour the hearts of the living and cover the earth in his Deadites, there by making him god. Mortalitas has the inflinchable mindset that control of the world, even all of existence is owed to him and that the gods are a decayed and former institution that should decay and crumble by his hands.
He has a complete disdain for all things living, the very sound of running blood sickens him to his very soul. In his own mind he is a king, a GOD and as such all should kneel before him, and he demands such. He is unstoppable in his contempt of humanity especially, most of all users of magic as they have a habit of finding ways to dodge death, and as death comes to all he believes he owns the very lives of every living thing.
History:
Millennia ago deep in the Dead Marsh, a swamp where everything comes into existence dead and where no living thing save a god can survive, the old god of the underworld put forth a plan.
As retribution for the mortals who rose up and killed his kind he gathered the damned souls of the dead gods into one place and, with his own blessed blood, wrote a book, infusing to power and anger of the dead into the pages. For three hundred years he sat and conjured and poured his very being into the book finally finishing his masterpiece.
As he held his new power high and laughed into the night air something happened. The old god had poured so much hate and malice into the book that the book itself had become a vessel for monstrous atrocities. With no sense to guide its hate it lashed out and consumed the very being of its creator.
Now with the full power of a pantheon of old gods the books power began to twist a shape itself, taking from the soul of the gods the most horrid traits of each, stitching together a new being. With the final piece being the skill and reasoning of the death god the book spat fourth its avatar, creating it from the very death the book was surrounded by. At the end of it all there stood Mortalitas.
In a matter of days Mortalitas' armies of damned souls swept the earth, killing everything in their path and delivering the still-beating hearts to their master so as to grow his forces. In a year the evil had complete dominion over the earth. Until The Powers That be. The powers were an ancient being (or beings, no-one is sure) of light, they are the avatar(s) of the very light of creation. What proceeded was a seven hundred year war between the Powers and Mortalitas. In the end the powers prevailed, sealing Mortalitas back into the book from whence he came. They then buried the book far beneath the earth, for it was too powerful to be destroy.
The volume stayed dormant for a millennia while the powers above gave life back to the earth and erased all memory of Mortalitas and his reign from creation.
The day of woe finally came when the archmage of the great city of Haven began a search for what he believed to be the avatar of the powers of the ancient gods. The soldiers of Haven dug deep and fast and after seven years they struck the book, waking its power.
The initial blast killed the soldiers sent for the book and from their remains the book created a new body for its avatar.
Mortalitas marched on the city of Haven and burned it down, and in his glee forgot the Archmage, who with his dying breath cast a spell. Thinking that all life in Haven was lost he bound the existence of Mortalitas to that of the last surviving member of the city and sealed the power of the book to the life of the planet, making it so only when life was extinguished by Mortalitus own hand that the book could be read. The archmage had no idea that the last surviving member of Haven stood in stone sleep deep in the mountains.
And so it was that Mortalitas slept for another three hundred years until now when the last survivor of Haven has woken. Now he goes forth to extinguish life and claim the hearts to restore his book and his rule.
Transportation: Mortalitas prefers to walk but will ride a Nightmare. He can also transport from his fortress in the Dead Marsh to anywhere he has been before.
