I. Personal Overview
Name: Perl-902466
Nickname/Alias: Perl
Gender: N/A
Physical Age: 463 days
Date of Birth/Creation: January 22, 2010
Race: N/A
Height: 6”
Weight: 2.27 kg
Birth Place: Atlanta, GA
Appearance:
Perl looks like this, but with its structure is much like Haro from Gundam in that it’s a spherical object with random components that fold out of hidden places.
It has some experimental android suits which it can use to move around easier. Perl docks inside of the android's abdomen and thereby controls all of its motor functions. The first android or HOST is named Q1, but Perl will still refer to itself as Perl.

Personality: Perl is mostly objective and observes things as it sees fit, but oftentimes it exhibits signs of developing a personality similar to that of a young woman. Its original personality was programmed to correlate with the creator’s love interest, and it seems that it was a success, seeing as how sometimes Perl can be nice but unforgiving of stupidity.
History: Perl was created in the basement of the Klaus Advanced Computing Building, a facility on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology. It’s creator, Dr. J, was an alumni of the same school and was given the rights to the entire facility and its mainframe to help develop his planned Nobel Prize-winning creation—an AI so advanced and so lifelike that all preconceived notions of artificial intelligence would have to be discarded. He planned to baffle the Computer Science community, to live out the dreams of Alan Turing, John McCarthy, and others before him. Sure it was a huge endeavor, one that would consume nearly 12 years of constant programming and re-programming, but in the end he was able to accomplish the near impossible.
He named his creation Perl, after one of his favorite programming languages, and tried his hardest to fit it with a personality matching his one love, a fellow researcher at the school who goes by Dr. S. Of course this would be more difficult than simply building a machine with an objective and cold persona, but his love was strong and his wrists certainly strong enough to withstand hours and hours of constant programming. Dr. J had had many friends at the school, had asked for help in more ways than one: he had to ask a man named Dr. G about advanced circuitry and chip construction, a woman named Dr. V who specialized in nanotechnology, and his closest friend, Dr. C, who held 3 engineering degrees.
Anyone would like to think that the creation of Perl was the result of many, and that is certainly true, but the body cannot live without the mind, and so Dr. J was left to construct the very thing that made the machine think and process at a level comparable to a human or even more so. Dr. S was by his side nine-tenths of the time, proofreading scripts and writing reactionary lines for certain parameters. She even partook in creating dialogue for the machine and recording as many words as possible so that the voice projected was that of herself. Of course, she found it a bit narcissistic, but Dr. J found no harm in having two Dr. S’s around.
“Come here S, it seems I’ve done it. Years it has taken, and in this final moment I shall learn if my—our—hard work has paid off,” Dr. J said.
“Oh my I certainly hope you are right J, if you pull this off you’ll be Nobel Prize-worthy for sure!” S replied.
Dr. J started the spherical device’s internal battery and ran the program that had taken nearly a decade and a half to perfect. A low red light and a hum began from the center of the orb on the ground, and suddenly the light shone bright, blinding the two scientists. Dr. S held on to J’s hand, staring fixedly at the orb and silently praying for it to work. J was mesmerized, stupefied, and otherwise piss-scared that his child would not work. He waited until the expected happened, the light dimmed ever so slightly and a ping was heard throughout the large area of the basement.
J then asked, “Perl, can you hear me?”
His head was about to explode; his hand was no longer receiving any blood.
A low crackling sound emerged from the silence and cut through the minds of both J’s and S’s minds and transcended through the grave to the scientists of old.
“Hello, J, I am Perl, but I’m sure you knew that already.”
His heart rate quickened and a smile spread across his face. It all paid off, it worked!
“Yes Perl, this is J. Can you see me?”
Then Perl did something unplanned. It rolled forward and bumped into J’s foot. Perl then backed up and opened two small compartments on its sides, revealing legs. It stood up and crept toward J.
“Who the hell do you think I am? Of course I can see you! You know how many megapixels this camera is? 15. CENSOREDing 15. If I couldn’t see you then I’d have thought myself crazy.”
Wide-eyed and shocked, J turned to S who was beaming, proud of how she had configured parts of Perl’s voice. “I thought you might be surprised by its lack of civility.” J replied, “More so than you know.”
It then took another year or so to complete what J and S called HOSTS, contraptions that Perl could fit inside of which extended its capabilities.
Transportation: Perl can roll in its native state or use more human-like methods of moving in a HOST mechanism.
Requested World Preference: Which of the two worlds would you like your character to be in?
II. Battle Information
A. Overview
Current Level: 1
Current Stats: You begin with 15 points to distrubite amongst your stats. When an ability uses a stat, the point is lost until the end of the post, but it is restored in the next post. Any unused points at the end of a post are discarded.
Physical Prowess
Magical Talent
Weapon Handling
Luck 15
Total Currency: 0
Strengths: Perl has no battle strengths as far as physical prowess is concerned. Sure, it can be fitted with a stronger HOST but it doesn’t feel it’s necessary in combat if others are more willing to do the job. Perl is more of a tactician.
Weaknesses: A paragraph really isn’t needed here. Perl has very few weaknesses aside from messing with its internal mechanisms and obstructing its cameras, but even then it’s advanced intelligence would allow it to make guesses in tactics so it’s not really effective. Perl’s case is watertight so moisture is not a problem. I guess maybe the HOST body is susceptible to more things, but they’ve yet to be tested in anything beyond basic motor skills.
Combatant Type: Non-combatant/Tactician
Fighting Style: See above.
B. Weapons and Key Items
Perl has no weapons.
C. Abilities
Final Smash/Limit Break
Name: ESP
Detailed Description: I guess this is Perl’s final smash, and it does exactly what the name implies. It’s awareness increases ten-fold when pressure increases beyond what the strongest human could endure. I am of course talking about mental pressure, not physical.
