I knew the ins and outs of the battle system before the game released, so that doesn't matter. I beat a boss (or summon, it was Odin) without fully completing my Crystarium on the English version and I couldn't do it with a maxed out Crystarium on the Japanese version. I have nearly 50 potions and 30 phoenix downs and I use them when my health reaches 75% and I still lose when the gauge is almost at 60%.

I wonder why SE decided to make the US version easier..maybe to appeal to more people? Who knows, but I did die like 6 times on Odin..That SOB. Oh well. Oh and is the dialog better in English that when it was in Japanese? I oughta slap you Some people are into that, ya know? I was asking because people (mostly haters) were saying the original dialog was corny and cheesy, so i was curious to see if the script is slightly better in English. Also, I'm currently in Palumpolum Chapter 6. |

The Japanese script seems more natural to me (because the characters feel as though they're Japanese). In English some things just can't be translated and so things can get lost in translation.

Oh yeah, Zantetsuken. Odin is MAH BISH. That was a bit late, since im now in the goddamn never ending CH. 5 Woodland area. Odin old boy really comes in handy. And it is pretty hard to get 5 stars, so wOOt for 4 star ranking! Im just wondering, when do Hope and Vanille get their Eidolons? And who are they? My guesses would be Ultima for Vanille and Zalera for Hope.

I wont say it here since that might be considered a spoiler. However.. I'm in chapter 9 and I still haven't run into them. It might be awhile till you get there. Hell I haven't even seen Bahamut.. |

I know ALL of the eidolons...CURSE YOU PLAYSTATION MAGAZINE!!!!!!!!!! It shows fangs, lightnings, snows, sazhs, vaniless, and hopes. But their all pretty cool I must admit.

I won't spoiler it for you but Hope's Eidolen is a reoccurring summon and Vanille's Eidolen is a completely new summon.  Also, I'm kind of beginning to like Hope. Snow, not so much. |

I'm on Chapter 11. Stuck like chuck though because I can't get past this mission creature, it has like 700,000 HP and it spawns more enemies (and I can't kill the other enemies until I kill it otherwise it'll make more immediately)! And I can barely hurt it unless I stagger it! I can't progress in the story either unless I beat it. >_<
So, in the meantime, I'm leveling up my character roles to level 4, so I can get more powerful to kill it. Good thing the area I'm in gives me like 9000 CPU each time I go around. Only problem is they don't re-spawn unless I go downstairs and back up again via an elevator. XD

Well unfortunately... there's two bosses in Chapter 10, one nearly as difficult as Barthandelus . The two bosses in Chapter 10 are: Cid Raines - The Uber Difficult Boss if you haven't leveled enough.
Bahamut - Fang's Summon, not too difficult though. If you need advice, just ask me. |
