Hi everyone, Ghost here!
I was listening to my ipod this morning and thought about all the great music i have on it. Which got me to thinking that some people may have never heard of some of these songs or artists even. So i decided to bring a daily jam thread to post the best of the best. This is your chance to listen to some favorites or even discover new music/artists.
How better to start this off than with the King of Rock N Roll.

Today's Selection is a band that held the soundtrack to the last half of my Senior Year in High School. At any point in time you could hear me and my buddies singing Death Valley Queen or Drunken Lullabies, the latter of which was especially humorous during our Senior Trip to a camp in which all of the guys in my class started singing it in the shower room.
So without further ado

When i started this thing, i realized that i definitely wanted to have the Prince of F***ing Darkness. It was inevitable. His unique voice and general demeaner BEG for him to be here.
However it was too simple to have Crazy Train, Mama i'm Coming Home, or Bark at the moon. They are far too famous. So instead you are getting an Ozzy Double Header. One for classic style, and one more soft. Hope you enjoy
Rock N Roll Rebel - Ozzy Osbourne
Dreamer - Ozzy Osbourne

So today we venture away from Rock a bit as i'm sure some of you may be tired of it.
Several of you may have heard this song because it was fairly popular a few years ago but the quality of her voice and just sheer excellence begs to be included
Too Little Too Late - Jojo

OH GOD! No.... please don't torture these poor members with this type of nastiness.
Oh yes.... yes i will
Country Music. Now i can hear some of your muscles cringing right now from the very words. Country has been given a very bad reputation due to it's recurrent of themes, sucky people getting the spotlight too often, and old people who just won't freaking go away even though they haven't produced a record in 30 years. There is alot of trash to sift through, and alot of "my life sucks" songs...BUT THERE IS HOPE. Mixed in all the trash are a few gems and geniuses. It is my goal that eventually you will be able to accept that there are some good songs out there in Country Music.
So for today i picked something that is somewhat relevant to us on the internet. I hope you enjoy one of my favorite Country artists.
Online - Brad Paisley

As this is a video game forum... it would be a damn shame if i didn't include the occasional VG Music as well. This is quite possibly one of the most famous gaming songs ever to cross the ears of Nerds everywhere. The original was a good song, but these people have taken it to a new level adding metal elements and a full orchestra. It's truly beautiful even if the opening is a little heavy on the drums
So today i give you One Winged Angel - Black Mages

Damn you Kune! Oh well... thunder stolen once isn't bad lol
I informed someone yesterday that this artist would be featured. Their immediate reaction was "are you a flaming homosexual?" I'm sure most of you can figure out which one said that.
I must admit i too was skeptical of her abilities as a singer since being whored out by Disney and the generalized reputation for only singing for kids. However thanks to Sharpay's mad love for her and recommendation i decided to sample the music.. and found one excellent one to share with you.
This one's for you, Shan! Acting Out - Ashley Tisdale

As a complete contrast to yesterday's selection we once again have a bit of metal. It also follows yesterday as it is directly aimed toward an alluded member of this site.
Korn was a band that i, for some unknown reason, wanted nothing to do with. I think it is because my experience with metal mainly consisted of metallica which....well... is soft. Big Boss proclaimed that i would love them and i kept refusing till finally he handed me the key... MTV's Unplugged. It brought exactly what i needed to make me a Korn Fan.
Also...when dealing with Korn you have 3 main categories. The Early Years, The Later (or "Sell-Out") years... and their appearance on MTV's Unplugged... and Lucky You... you're going to get an example of all 3
The Early Years (Yes I understand this is the end of the early years however this will bring more public appeal than alot of the others) Make Me Bad - Korn
MTV's Unplugged Twisted Transistor - Korn
The Later Years Coming Undone - Korn (ignore the lyrics ENTIRELY they are wrong)

Well, I don't have much to say about today's artist other than i find t hem to be unique and overall epic. Here is the song that put them on the map
Clint Eastwood - Gorillaz *Minor Explicit Lyrics*
ALSO please note... we are supposed to be getting a major snow storm tonight... Weather People say it is supposed to be one of the 5 worst storms to hit this region in 100 years so... i may not be back for awhile. lol

I love the Gorillaz, which is probably one of the most shocking statements I've ever said to most people. Great choice.
