What an eventful while this has been. All the meetings, all the battles, all the memories. But Ai hadn't grown much in all of that. She made many friends, and she just knew it. She was such a weakling compared to anyone else. She knew how fragile she was, barely being able to shoot a regular arrow without using almost 1/10 of her energy. She needed to be much stronger. She wanted to protect her friends. No, not just them, everyone. She knew what she had to do, she had to train. Not just light target practice or anything, a full training session. Although, she had no idea how this would happen.
Of course, she had no idea how to do this. Maybe power up her bow? She remembered hearing something about her bow. It could evolve. But how did they do it again? Ai had no clue whatsoever. That would probably help a lot though. Maybe she just needed to keep with her bow until it worked. Good thing she was in a forest, now she would have so many trees to use as targets.

Hm, now how would this work? Well, she could shoot specific places on trees for target practice. Maybe even some timed shooting. She trained that way on the village some time ago, maybe it'd work again. Ai pulled out some targets to hit, and a timer. She set up the targets, each of them were random places hanging from trees. Seemed too easy though. Not much would happen from that. Though, it must've done something, so she decided "why not?"
She started the timer and shot toward the targets. Firing at all of them as fast as she could. Although, she was trying to be faster than accurate, so it didn't work very well. All of the targets were hit, but most of them didn't hit anywhere near the bull's eyes. Darn it, although, the time was good. Only about 7 seconds for 20 targets. Not bad, but she needed to be better.
Suddenly, a noise started from nowhere. Ai looked alert, it sounded like some sort of animal. Glancing back and forth, she tried to find whatever it was. Suddenly, it hit her, her common sense told her she was hungry. Unfortunately, she hadn't seen many other people around here eat or carry around any sort of food. Luckily for her, she only carried around sweets and some water. She always wondered why it never went stale, Ai figured it was because of the way her mother baked them for Ai. She took a bite of a danish that was in her basket. It tasted of cream cheese. Delightful, now she can keep her strength up. She licked her lips, trying to wipe off any remaining crumbs. Although the sound was her stomach, that didn't mean anything about there not being anyone nearby.

There was nothing to expect. Though, the wind probably helped in this. A quick flash, a deep grey color. A quick sliver of timing. Ai got up just as it hit the floor. Though, an inch away from it's mark. Her coattail was spread along the floor. Odd how she kept her outfit on at all times. Though, you never know what to expect in these worlds. It was justified. But nevertheless, it was a fault here. The sharp piece of metal, it could've impaled her. Or worse, clipped her in place to be captured. Thankfully for heightened senses. She looked back, but saw nothing except trees. Upon closer inspection, she noticed it. 2 leaves falling out of a tree. Now only one would've been normal, but not two at once. She didn't want to take it as a chance, so she drew her bow.
Taking it in her right hand, she grasped the string oh her bow with some sort of blue energy in hand. It formed into an arrow, which she clutched with her index and middle fingers. It was set, now she aimed at a slightly darker shadow jumping from tree to tree. A quick release of the string sent the arrow flying. Naturally, if it didn't hit it's mark, that would've been fine. Maybe Ai just imagined it, or maybe they fled. But that wasn't the case. The arrow was deflected. It hit a nearby tree instead. Was this thing serious? It wanted to fight? Shit. And with that, she took the moment to try to gather herself. Was it really going to attack? Ai braced for impact as another shape raced at her. This time it was more like circles, multiple ones at that.
