Take this test and find out: www.springhole.net/quizzes/marysue.htmIf you don't know what a mary-sue is, feel free to look it up yourself. I would encourage as many people as possible (especially people who may be new to roleplaying/fan fiction, but I can't stress enough how many of you I think should "test" their character for this) to take this test and to answer honestly, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by doing anything otherwise.

Kaimu: 13
0-16 Points Most likely Not-Sue. Characters at this level could probably take a little spicing up without hurting them any.
Arietta: 18
17-21 Probably not a Mary-Sue, although a character can go either way at this point. Fanfiction writers should pay attention to ensure that their characters aren't getting too Sue-ish. For an RPG or original fiction character, however, you're probably perfectly fine.
Angel: 15
0-16 Points Most likely Not-Sue. Characters at this level could probably take a little spicing up without hurting them any

Wow. Never would have given Snicket a freaking 55 myself. -_- Stupid eye and history questions.
But I kind of have to think this test is crap. Thinking of your characters as tools is a good thing? Seriously.

Yes, I agree with that Snicket. I didn't click that ever... thinking of your character as a extension of yourself is a sign of a GOOD writer. In my opinion.
I think your good enough of a writer to handle a Mary Sue even if Snicket was one.

I'd say our good Sir Snicket has nothing to worry about.

Seriously. "Furthermore, this test has never been nor will be perfect. At best, I can only offer it as a guide, not an instruction manual." I wouldn't take it too personally, this test was more intended for fanfiction, not as much for RP. I still think it's quite applicable. Even though I got like a 30-something my first time through.

Well, it's kind of set up so that the more complex your character is, the more likely the score will be higher. A complete cardboard character could get a good score on this.

Okay Snicket, you made me leave from my extended stay because I had to say this. So we have flat cardboard characters now? Honestly, I think that this test supports originality, not flatness.. <.<

Okay Snicket, you made me leave from my extended stay because I had to say this. So we have flat cardboard characters now? Honestly, I think that this test supports originality, not flatness.. <.< Hey now, you guys took what Snicket said a little too seriously (or at least it appeared you did). I scored a modestly high 36, which I do agree with Snicket that paper thin characters can easily get a great score (however I think Snicket may have been a little too cynical and came out wrong). I'm sure Snicket (as do I) not apply that anyone who scores "well" on this test has a crappy character that is cliched. As for the test, I think my character is pretty original but it came off as my character wasn't the best. I do also believe that no matter how you scored the test maker still critiqued you in a negative way. That aside it's no big deal here, so let's just let the bygones (or wherever this is going) be bygones. Hm?

Oops, sorry. Wasn't actually implying that people who got better scores don't deserve it. That is not at all the case. (But at least I made Angel come back )

Well, it's kind of set up so that the more complex your character is, the more likely the score will be higher. A complete cardboard character could get a good score on this. Don't be butthurt. A cardboard character could get a good score, but also so could a totally original chacter. The less number of bad cliches you fulfill, the better you will do.
