Allard stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes glazing over as his mind drifted into a state of dreaming while he was still wide awake. His mouth hung open only slightly, his face was blank and dull as he took in what Nouri had said about going their separate ways. He hadn't thought about where he would go next, he rarely did, but this was the first time anyone had really accepted him. His eyes watered slightly (which was instantly tainted, unfortunately) when the girl (...Mimi was her name, right?) said she could stay with them forever. It warmed his heart, but he wondered also if she was using him, or Nouri. Or both of them.

Of course, Allard had forgotten that Nouri had him by the caller, so a mere moment after stopping he toppled to the ground as the other continued his movement when Allard had not.

Awww.. such cute words just to try and cheer him up. Staying with the both of them forever, it was an interesting thought but something Nouri knew in his heart just could never be. This was her home after all and seeing how young she was, she had to have some type of family here or duties to attend to based on her "status" she briefly hinted upon when they first met. Who was he to just waltz in and take others from there homes when they had just met? Oh and what of Mr. Liao? A small boy trouncing about here too.. Surely he had somewhere to call home in this land as well.

Ah well. This was quite a ride so far and being around both of them was so much fun, that he forgot all about his manly stench.. though while holding Allard, he noticed he was a bit worst off then he was. But who cared about that now?? He was in the presence of comrades! "Aw shucks you guys!" his cheerful disposition was really getting the best of him now, a fact that showed when he had hugged Mimi as tight has he could with free arm whist he set Allard on the ground and hugged him with equal love and joy!

"Mimi, you don't have to lie to me you know? I'm happy to hear something like that but.. this is your home right? You have your own little life to attend to here based on what you told me before. The life I have chosen is one of constant travel as well. I couldn't take a beautiful young lady around in conditions that would be most uncomfortable!" Alright.. now he was maybe getting a bit too excited. He was almost yelling at the top of his lungs and showing off that goofy little smile of his to all the townsfolk. He caught himself on this and simply cleared his throat and continued with what he wanted to say. "Ahem.. What I mean is, there will be more days like this. Days were you can't get a good place to sleep right away and you have to sleep outside. Days were you may get covered in mud but you will have to continue onward because you have no change of clothes. My path is one without many comforts so.. we stick together for a bit longer but I will have to continue onward with my quest sooner or later and you with your own life. I'm sure we will meet again for more fun times as.. I plan to come back here when I'm a bit more manly." it wasn't the most elegant speech but it was honestly how he felt on the matter. A young girl like Mimi wouldn't adjust so well to life on the road he felt and it was best to acknowledge they would be separated at some point. However, it didn't mean goodbye right? But now, he turned his attention to Allard for what he wanted to say to him


"As for you little one, you have to start speaking up and letting yourself be heard. Your gonna be a man someday so.. you gotta step up and do your best. I see shy people like yourself all the time ya know? I bet all you need is to just open up a bit more to the people around you and try to put aside any doubts ya have! It's all well and fine to be scared of what people think of you at your age but keeping this up, your gonna be one lonely dude. I dunno where your from since we bumped into each other on the road but it must be close right? If that's the case, I'll take you back there after all of this.. and Mimi too of course since its rude not to see a lady home, oho!" Indeed, it was true he thought.. but man, maybe after a little while on his quest, he could learn some cool speech skills to make this better! Maybe he could start now after they got into a hotel...

Oh yeah... a shower!

He got completely caught up in his thoughts that he forgot to address what she said. Typical Nouri stuff.. and another quark he would soon have to get over no doubt "And umm.. oh yeah, of course we shall take a shower Mimi! Just as soon as we get some rooms! Sorry about the whole.. deterring the subject thing.." Now things were going to get better. A nice wash up and having the clothes cleaned could really do wonders for a hip and happening bandit such as he. But all while he and his new friends were gathered in front of their potential lodgings for the night, it seemed someone was dashing right up to them.. but for what?

Mimi stood their silently, not really sure how to reply to this new comment. No. No. He wasn't charmed, not enough.. he was able to think of leaving her. No, no.. things were going all wrong. Though he wasn't right about somethings.. at least.

"This isn't my home.. I don't have a home. I'm trying to make something out of myself, I know I'm difficult but.. I don't really have anywhere to go." she said, her voice ringing with obvious sadness. It wasn't a lie either, this was true.. talking about home, families, etc.. she didn't have any of that. She didn't have anywhere to go and nothing to do in her life other than do the purpose she was created for.

She didn't want to fail at that.. and that meant turning on the charm or just turningo n them. Either way. Maybe a steamy shower scene would help.. but for now, she could use her sadness as a womanly weapon.. "Yeah.. I wanna shower.. Not like any guy would like a ugly muddy girl like me.." oh, manipulative real emotions were a girls best friend.

By the look in Allard's eyes, the words had sunk in, taken on a whole new meaning and really got to him. He seemed like he was having an epiphany, rethinking his entire life. He was, in fact, not.

Within the safe haven of his own mind, Allard mulled over his predicament. Not currently, of course- now he had a pair to take care of him and protect him from harm. Now he had a thousand things going right and not a thing going wrong. Not yet, anyway.

Allard kept his mouth shut and his eyes down, trying to to draw attention to himself as he sat sprawled like a puppet someone had dropped haphazardly in a sitting position.

His mind was on nothing, and the words of those around him simply dripped away like the poisons that covered him.

No home huh..? How sad indeed. Much could be said about the feeling of having no one to go back too. Had he been a bit too careless with his awkward and winded words? Perhaps but this left quite a number of questions for him. Her clothing was actually really nice for someone who basically had no home so.. how was she getting by? Also, had she lied about her status she had hinted on before? It appeared to be that she did given the words, "I'm trying to make something out of myself."

Ah but who cared now? Mimi was a pleasant person right? And even if she what she said about being known was a lie, it was an understandable one on many levels. She was even fully concerned about her appearance and appeared to be saddened by being dirtied up in the mud. Maybe now wasn't the time to bring up leaving. Yeah.. for now, they should simply enjoy the time they could spend together here and now right?

Of course they should.. and it was that thought alone that allowed the young thief to keep his positive and up beat outlook on things. In spite of it all, his smiled had not wavered one bit and finally, he patted the top of Mimi's noodle before finally, in a soft and assuring tone, he spoke to her.

"Mimi, I believe I told you before that you look just as lovely in mud as you would normally. Your among friends and we don't really mind it. Lets just go into the inn, get our rooms straight and get all clean and sparkly. We can worry about the other things after we rest." Good words indeed. With the swift motion of hand, Nouri scooped up Allard from his strange little position and got him right up to his feet. As for poison of his, it was questionable as to if he actually noticed it or if he really was the sort of simpleton that didn't notice anything dripping. (though Allard did hide it somewhat well) Whatever the case, his outlook on him had not changed from since he had first met him.

"Stand tall Allard! We shall be going in soon so.. it is there that we can sit down and relax, mmkay?" Wait.. speaking of which, how much was the inn anyway? Ah.. this was important and he overlooked the whole thing. He was obviously embarrassed when he asked this question but, he just had to know. "Oh and Mimi.. how much is the inn? I kinda forgot to ask on the way here..."

"The inn will let us stay free, just trust me." She knew that the inn at least knew who she was, but they wouldn't say anything. The sun was getting a bit far down and she realized that after this she was going to be ready for bed. Maybe one of the men would let her snuggle up to keep warm after her bath.. and maybe Nouri was going to give her bath to her. Acting all cute and innocent to better help that possible, she blushed and smiled. "Do you guys wanna do things around tomorrow? There is a place near here that I would really like to show you.."

She had to get this over with though, and everything was set up perfectly. She hoped that over the night and thru the journey she was able to turn up the charm well enough. Time would tell.. anyway. She really hoped everything was going to happen the way she saw it. Because things were getting scary to think about otherwise. She didn't want to die.

Allard said nothing as he stared up at the other two, but when asked about what he wanted to do, his face instantly brightened, his eyes widened, he opened his mouth and....

slammed it shut. No one wanted to hear what he had to say, and they probably didn't want to do what he wanted to do either. On top of that he was scared of the retaliation from Mimi. She was quite scary in the eyes of someone so small.

Locking his eyes on his feet once again, Allard wondered what he would have said anyway. He never knew what he wanted to do, let alone how to do it, so what could he have possibly suggested?

"Hm.. I suppose I could stay for a bit longer to see what you gotta show me. Perhaps after that, Allard has something he would want to check out, we can do that too." He uttered with rather cheerful muse behind his voice. This would be the first and last night they would have together after all. Why not make the best of it and check out a few of the sights around this quaint little shindig?

Eh.. but they would do that tomorrow. Traveling was tough as it is and even with his youthful vigor and keen fashion sense, Nouri was as drowsy as a deer. There would be no jumping about, leaps for joy or even so much as a shout unto the heavens. His only goal right now was to get his bath and to fulfill his untold promise to Mimi. "Oh and Mimi, seeing as a man must keep his word, I'll wash your hair for you if you like ok?"

Oh and what of Allard? That kid definitely needed a bath too! But.. could Nouri trust him to wash up all nice like so he doesn't bring death to the flowers they may cross? Couldn't be certain since he didn't know him but so well yet. Such matters were out of his hair since he made no declarations or promises to him.

But wait.. this subject.. it was bringing on... a powerful boost of manly energy from within! The mere thought of actually having decent food for a night, a warm place to sleep, and even.. God forbid they would have them but.. a chair. With a hardy laugh straight from his belly, he trotted on forward. The twist of a doorknob was all it took to open the gate to a much better tomorrow after all.. a tomorrow that would come after well.. sleeping in the inn of course! "Now come on you guys! We have a bright day ahead of us with many things to look forward too! With that in mind, lets get a good nights rest!"

Its just as the saying goes...

"The world is so full of a number of things, I'm sure we should all be as happy as kings."
