Chapter 4: Shattered Sanctuary

Snicket nodded at Dobs's words. The trouble on Aether came as a surprise to him, but he supposed Crehavos would be attacking other planets besides his own; not much could stand in his way for long at this point.

At that point, the dark eyes appeared which were revealed to be Abdol.

Bob looked into the dark, floating eyes with his own clear cerulean ones. "Yes, I and the other survivors have been located. But it appears that, according to Dobs, there may still be more yet who will come." He turned back to the others.

"So, this is Eiron?" the boy concluded, indicating the cloaked man sitting a short distance away while they conversed. "And one of the Luminoth?"

The two sitting figures looked over and nodded.

"A pleasure to meet you," Bob said cordially, smiling slightly. "I am Bob Snicket, one of the SSS. Here's the thing. We have approximately sixty extremely specialized members, including the Brawlers and the Forumers. And Zel says that in addition to Cody's group, he has many million troops at his command. But Crehavos? He has hundreds of millions, far greater than our own. So...even though we are stronger together, the time has come for us to split up once more.

"You say the Ing are waging war against your people, possibly under Crehavos's orders. I cannot speak for all of us, but I believe a sufficient number of us would be willing to go to your planet's aid. However, bear in mind one thing: even after the Ing have been defeated, that will not take your planet--nor any other place in this universe--out of danger if Crehavos is set on controlling it. And at the moment, even all of the SSS's strength combined will not be enough to protect anyone from the fullness of his wrath.

"So I will propose to the rest that we, like I said, split our forces, for it seems we have multiple objectives to fulfill. Part of us will go with you to Aether's assistance to eliminate the Ing. Another part will soon depart with me in search of a power that can overthrow Crehavos himself once and for all. And the rest shall spread out throughout our universe, calling all of Nintendo's good people to rise in rebellion against him...when the time is right."

Snicket paced back and forth while he spoke, thinking things through. The sun was setting. "Eiron, U-mos, if you wish for our protection, you must go with Commander Cody and Captain Rex. They will take you to Zel, who is command in our forces, who will impart to you some of his forces. Some of the Forumers and Brawlers may also agree to accompany you."

He cleared his throat. "Crehavos's minions have not yet returned here, at least that we've seen. But I'm sure that they soon will, hunting down each and every one of the SSS. I will spend one last night here with Dobs, awaiting LGN, Samus, Geo, and the rest.”

At that moment, LGN and Peram’s party made their ridiculous ambush. Snicket looked at LGN and raised an eyebrow, but was very pleased at the coincidencial turn of events.

“It is good to see you all,” he said. “Ness Longworth, Peram, Geo, Samus…and the rest of you. What great timing for you to find us. Now we can all go back together. But let us spend the night here in our old home…in honor of what it has provided for the SSS since its founding. On the morrow, the SSS will move out. Our most important plans will be put to action, if we ever want to see this world free again."

With that being said, Snicket went over to a pillar, sat down, and leaned against it with his arms folded, drifting into sleep. There may have been additional things said as his mind went into its long-needed rest, the boy unaware that a charred copy of The Trophies lay beneath his arm...

[Angel]

[Arietta, Dartainian, Nemeck, Ucria]

Arietta took a moment to register her actual opponent. She had been denied a chance to blast the fierce maiden and instead was being forced to fight this young man. She looked up at him for a moment before licking her lips. A foe was a foe... after-all.

Giving Dart a small test, she sent a small Ice Arrow his way. He seemed to simply teleport out of it's way though.. leaving her to realize that he wouldn't be such a smpile foe to face.

"Nemeck, stay away from me!" she cried out, giving her only warning. He didn't look in her direction, and she wasn't 100% sure he heard her.. but she decided she didn't have time to wait. This was a brawl.

She instantly activated her opening move, Peace of the Soul. Powerful bursts of dark energy seemed completely surround the girl, ready to blast and stun anyone who dared approach her. It was perfectly visible and she felt this would make a very good offensive-defensive strategy. And with that she pulled out her flexible almost whip-like rapier.

Lunging at him through flight, she decided to see how good he would be at defending some straight physical blows.

[Green Hell Forest: Sour, Injured IOY, Kaemon]

The robot's arm seemed to be glowing a lightly shaded red colour. Suddenly, It pointed its arms at both Sour and Kaemon and shot an explosive laser canon.

"Crap!" Yelled Sour. "I don't know how we are going to get out of this one Kaemon!"

A loud explosion echoed throughot the forest disturbing even the most hidden creatures. As Sour and Kaemon tried to push the dirt and rubble off each other, the robot began to charge its beam again.

suddenly Sour thought of something.

"Yo Kaemon, can you distract him for at least 30 seconds?" asked Sour in a very desperate voice.

"I'll do what I can but dont expect any favours!" exclaimed Kaemon.

Kaemon ran towards the robot. Suddenly, one of the robots arms began shooting machine gun bullets towards Kaemon. Soon Sour began to rapidly spin his staff progressively getting more and more faster soon being too fast for the naked eye. The wind was very strong and the remaining trees were soon shaking left and right.

"I cant hold him anymore, I need to come back!" Kameon yelled at the top of his lungs. He sprinted back to Sour and stood behind him. Soon the monster charged the beam on both his arms and Shot it directly at Sour and Kameon.

The blast shouldve hit them by now but it ended up destroying everything around them. Soon the robots curcuits started to fry. It seemed its energy was all used up.

"Now its our turn to go on the offensive," spat Sour.

Kaemon nodded and they both sprinted towards the machine.
Sour wirled his staff and Kae was doing combos with his sword.
He eventually stabbed his two biggest swords into the machine...

there was silence. Kaemon shoved them in deeper as they came out the other side of the robot... or so it seemed to be a robot...
he then gripped his triggers, and right when he pressed them, the robot warped behind Kaemon.

The thing bashed Kaemon through a bunch of trees once again, but this time Kaemon used his long whips to swing him back. He shot out his back large swords to act as jet packs, as he dodged the robot just passing him.

Sour saw them far away,"hurry, Kaemon! This thing doesn't give up!"

Kaemon was flying past all the trees at extreme speeds while the robot did the same. until..
"damn" Kaemon said as his back swords ran out of energy, he tumbled on the floor and hit a rock.

[ Abdol ]

Abdol continued to do his security work searching for outsiders with his "Dark Eyes".

Abdol:"......"

Abdol:"As the brains of the JUSTICE Super Humans, I can sort the perfect team for you to split up. I know your in command, but you won't regret my services...but its up to you and Zel."

Bob:"Hmmmmm......."

Neni:"Oookaaaaayyyy, so what are we gonna do now?"

Jonas:"Should we go back for Genesis?"

Steele's simple journey from his room to outside the castle, having taken 5 hours. Steele felt like he was a baby first learning how to walk. He would constantly loose his balance and support himself on walls. By the time he left the castle, he was walking perfectly again.

He decided that he would try to run when he walked outside the castle. Steele shaked his legs out after his excrutiating treck, and began to run. BAM!! After two steps Steele landed flat on his face in the ground. He stood back up and wiped the dirt from his face. He jogged to the fields of Hell. After about 10 minutes of jogging, he tried to run. Unlike before, he ran just like anyone else would had.

He reached the feilds where he got a crazy idea. He squatted down, and got in the front leaning rest (The pushup position). He went down with his arms, his body following. When he tried to go back up, his arms would not allow it. It felt as though there were a pile of cars on top of Steele.

He could feel his muscly fibers contracting and ripping, he was feelin the burn. Sweat started to drip from his armpits and hair, his face turned bright red. His legs were shaking and his breathing and heart raced.

One he thought to himself.

Steele lifted himself up, and rolled over. His arms and head were pounding. He turned his head over and vomitted.

This is gonna be harder than I thought.

[Green Hell Forest: Sour, Injured IOY, Kaemon

"Kaemon!" Sour scream at the top of his lungs. "KAEMON!"

Sour sprinted as fast as he could. He then remembered that the injured man was still unconsious. Sour had to stay with im and see how he was.

Cmon man, stay alive, just a little longer, the others are going to be back soon, explained Sour.

Sour then remembered. The robot shot an arrow.

"The robot mustve had more than one arrow"Sour thought to himself. "But a poison arrow should be able to have poison strong enough to kill in one shot."

Sour only hoped that IOY was going to survive. Same with Kaemon. Sour was too slow to catch up to him and carrying IOY, It would take even an hour to get halfway to his position.

"damnet, damnet, DAMNET!" Sour exploded

OOC: I won't be on much in the near future, so please dont wait for me to post.

X looked around the ground, searching for herbs. "Yes, anyone who needs to go look for Genisis, find him and return here when ou are done. Anyone who wishes to stay can, it's up to you. There's a fight going on and...here!" X found what he was looking for.
"I need to bring this back to the others and help fight, good luck with whatever you do," X says, and then runs back to where the fight is going on.

He looked down at himself as he ran. "Is it just me...or am I fading?"

Steele continued on a simple workout, without many results. After 6 hours he managed to do 6 pushups, 9 sit ups, 13 jumping jacks, and a 34.45 mile. "Dang" he said when he was done. He was all out of breath and was about to collapse. "This better be worth it. I need like a video montage or something."



Steele ran up and down stairs, did lots of pushups, crunches, pull-ups, punched meat, ran on tracks, wrestled a bear, cooked for angry Mongolians, had a sword fight with Alexander the Great, and even gave Stephen Hawking kidney surgery.

When Steele returned to his room, he still felt very week, but in a somewhat normal condition to fight. If he went up against anyone really strong he would surley die. But for now, all he could do was wear the Power Limiter and get used to it. His strength would come back when he wore the limiter more over time.

[Arietta, Dartainian]
[Forest]

Lunging forth, Arietta had begun jabbing her small fists and the intellectual warrior. He swiftly dodged them, calculating her movements as she went.

"You're very fast..." Dartainian said calmly, dodging the attacks as he went. "However, this is where your physical attacks cease." With that final word, something very strange happened. Arietta's fist had gone right through him, and that was because he was no longer solid. His body had become transparent, like some other-worldly phantom.

"What in the..." Arietta began, astonished at this new tactic.

Dartainian quickly vanished from sight, causing the girl to look around on edge.

"Do not run from me, you coward! Face me!" She cried.

"As you wish..."

Turning on heel to the voice that emitted from behind, Arietta was blasted with a strange shadowy subtance that covered her eyes.

Her vision was blocked.

[Forest]

The towering masked foe was menacingly skateing around the ice crafted ground, seeming to be waiting for something. Ucria smiled, she knew what he wanted. Giving a curtsy in her flowing black dress, she said, "I am Ucria Lerezé... and I will be your destruction."

Raising her saphire tipped staff, she gathered a blinding energy that shimmered out across the dead forest. In a bright flash, a heavenly light shot down upon Nemeck, who was caught off guard by an aerial attack. She heard a soft grunt when he was hit, only being pushed roughly away on the ice; still standing.

Nemeck had come to a halt, masked face turned towards the maiden. "Impressive, however I believe it's my turn now."

The robot landed next to Kaemon lifting him up then flew light speed up to a huge boulder.
It looked at Kaemon choking him.. not saying any words what so ever.. as if he had been hired to kill Kaemon.

Kaemon had no energy left to do anything, as he dropped his weapons.
The robot pointed loaded his gun and pointed strait at Kaemon's head... and shot.

"NO!!!" Sour yelled.

The robot vanished into the sky and sonic boom'd outta there.
slowly.. Kaemon fell to the floor... *thud*
A pink orb rolled out of Kaemon's hand along with a mini shiny sword.

IOY looked at where the other men went, but also saw a giant robot fly into the air and escape.
"What in all hell", he grunted and was still in pain.

He managed to get up and move. He took the sock off and ripped the vein more. Blood gushed out, but it was darker. He got a little poison out. He wrapped the sock back to his leg again. He got up and partially limped to where he thought the men went. He saw one standing over the other...
"What...", he saw the other man dead on the ground.

He walked over to them every step getting him a bit muddy due to the wetness of the dirt. Silence went over the forest. Wind was blowing through the trees.
"Sir... I'm terribly sorry for the loss of your friend...", he told the man.

Still silence. Not even the birds were singing. The forest was mournful.

[Rorschach]

Sour was silent. The robot was gone, and Kameon was dead. Kaemon was laying there, no movement, no breath, nothing.

"Gone...Gone for good", muttered Sour. "Hes not coming back...ever."

Sour sat down, clapped his hands together and closed his eyes.

"I know you may not have known him but may you sit with me while I say a few words?" asked Sour desperately needing comfort. "I didnt know him very well either."

The injured man sat down beside him not muttering or even flinching. Things were silent and everything remained still as if time itself has been stopped.

"I may not have known you...but you were a good comrad, a good swordsman and an even better friend," Sour prayed. "You were there for me when you didnt even realize it...I wish happiness on your family and hope you finally find peace. "May you rest peacefully."

Sour noticed the orb and the little sword. He was so angry, angry that he couldve done something to save him. Angry that he couldve lived if Sour attacked the robot. Angry that He lost a friend and has an injured man beside him.

Sour grabbed the mini sword and stabbed it into the pink orb. Suddenly it exploded into mini shards and flew onto Kaemons body. Sour then remembered.

Kaemon Pulled out a pink orb,"See this? Well, it is said that there is one for each type of attribute... this one is love."
Sour,"Oh?"

Suddenly, the shards exploded into powdered dust and formed into a spirit. It was the Angus Brogan Spirit of Love! The spirit flew into Kaemons body and suddenly, his eyes were glowing pink. Soon everything just went white.

After Sour regained visibility, he noticed that the injured mans injury was fully healed.

"Wha.....What happened to your injury?" Sour asked in amazement.

The man shook his head with a very confused expression. He did not know what was going on either.

Suddenly, Sour felt something touching his back. He turned around to see that Kaemon had been revived! He was alive! Sour stuck his hand out for a handshake but when Kaemon stuck out his hand, Sour grabbed him and gave him a big hug.

"I thought you were gone man!" Sour said to Kaemon as teared rolled down his eyes. "I thought you were gone."

They both ended the reunion and got back to business.

"So what did I miss? asked Kaemon with a big grin on his face. "And what are we going to do?"

[Bayonetta]

Evil Kin leaned his arms on the white marble balcony and opened his eyes as two soft hands were wrapped around his waist. "Something the mater dear?" Maia asked as she just came out of the bath. "Oh, its nothing...Just alot has gone through my mind right now." the serphant spoke as his red and black hair flowed through the wind. "Say, why dont we go do something to pass the time?" Maia asked as she leaned her chin on his shoulders. "Well im still on vacation, what would you like to do?"

Maia smiled and Ekin turned around to kiss her forehead.

"Get dressed, I'm gonna show you around."

Maia gasped. "For real? I can't wait."

She smiled and ran into the bathroom took some clothing with her. Ekin got ready and stretched hoping Crehavos wouldn't give any problems. Maia came out and she was wearing a pair of black skinny jeans with a shirt saying Don't even Tink about it with Tinkerbell on it. She came out and Ekin dropped his jaw and she chuckled putting his jaw back up.

"When did you grow a cup si----I mean, grow an inch taller?", he asked looking her up and down.

Maia dropped her jaw and smiled teasingly.

"Hey, I eat my vegetables, okay?", she said.

Ekin reeled her into his arms and wrapped his arms around her waist with her facing forward.

"Hey, show me around. I wanna see exactly how big this place. Telling by the size of your room...it's pretty big.", she said.

She got out of his grip and held hand leading them out the room.

"Lead the way?"

"My pleasure."

Kaemon looked at the shards of the orb and stuffed them in his pocket, then noticed Sour holding the sword that commands it.

"Oh... now I remember..." Kaemon said walking over to Sour.
Sour gave the sacred sword back,"remember what?"

Kaemon equiped it,"Oh.. It's just... I have been saved before with that orb and sword. When it is swung."

Sour kind of understood, IOY coughed in the background,"that white flash.. It seemed to stop my bleeding."
They sat next to him.

A noise was heard... X and the others are coming with herbs.
