Chapter 2: Forces of Darkness

[Outside Black Knight's Castle]

Steele jumped through the portal into the mideval kingdom. The sun was about to set, and dark storm clouds could be seen in the distance, about to make it a stormy night. Steele ended up in a forest just outside the castle. Before making his enterance, he examined the new mark on his palm. He could feel the new energy pulsing through himself. He walked towards the castle, and hooded himself, to cover his face.

The Black Knight was sitting on his big blue chair, in his throne room. A soldier opened the doors, ran over to him, and bent over onto one knee. "Sir, a messenger from the King is here to see you"

The Black Knight perked up "That's......Odd.... Didn't we just get orders from him?"

"He claims that something has sprung up and is of vital importance. He insists that he speaks directly to you" The soldier replied.

"Hmph... Send him in" the Black Knight ordered. The soldier ran back through the door. A moment later, Steele walked through the door and towards the Black Knight. He stopped about 2 yards away from where he was sitting.

"Sir", Steele began "I have an important message for you" His hood still covered his face, his eyes barely visible. "You are requested to be summoned for a meeting with your new Lord"

"Finnally got assassinated eh? Very well. When will this meeting take place?..... Who is the new king?" He questioned.

"King to be, sir" Steele smirked. "Lord Crehavos has requested your service for him... in hell" He looked up and took off his hood dramatically.

"You challenge me? You try to send me to the fiery land below?"

"I have been cleared to use force if nessecary.... Let me put this bluntly... Come with me now, and I won't destroy your castle." Steele said calmly.

".....How do you know about our trap mechanisim??" The Black Knight questioned.

"I don't. I do things the old fashioned way" Steele clenched his right arm with his left hand. Slowly he began to charge up red lightning in his hand. Not being stupid, the Black Knight rushed towards him, sword unsheathed ready to strike. As the Black Knight swung towards him, Steele jumped up in the air. "Crimson Lightning!!" Steele aimed downward while falling. The attack broke through the floor. Quickly he ripped through every floor of the castle with his electric attack. The castle quickly was torn to shreads. When Steele reached thr groundfloor, he stabbed his arm into the ground sending out a shockwave. The castle fell around him.

[The King Of Darkness]

Nightmare was hit directly by the stone fist however with all his power he wouldn't allow himself to simply be crushed by a stone fist. Using his darkness he lifted the fist above and took control of it. He moved the hand above Lynx and slammed the fist down on him so hard the entire ground shook. The stone fist crumbled as Zero prepared himself for an attack.

Zero: So i see you want to play dirty huh? FINE! AAAARGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Huge gust of winds were blowing and Zero overflowed with a golden aura. His hair soon turned spikey and golden. Zero had transformed into Super Zero.

Zero: Play time is over Zero.

Zero walked over to the pile of rocks lynx was burried under from the stone fist. Zero reached in and pulled out Zero.

Zero: What are you doing laying around at a time like this you weakling? Hmph. I guess I'll just have to handle Nightmare all by my self then!

[SSS HQ: Professor E. Gadd, R.O.B.]

Professor E. Gadd and his creation R.O.B. had now finished fixing everything that had been damaged or destroyed during Bowser's assault on the HQ. Luckily, the wall that was blown out had been technologically enhanced with artificial stem cells so that it would automatically--but gradually--repair itself. Some of the equipment and machines in Gadd's second laboratory on the 4th floor had been rattled a bit, however, a few things even knocked over. But a good couple hours brought the scientist's whirring haven of discovery back to normal.

Of course, now there was yet ANOTHER conflict occurring between Smashbro, IOwnedYou, and a strange girl named Misami on the 2nd floor, but the professor and robot saw no need to get involved in this case. Instead, they were in the library where Gadd was searching for information on their new enemy: Crehavos, ruler of the world of eternal banishment, defying these laws in order to fulfill his tyrannical purposes.

"R.O.B., profile check on Crehavos."

The friendly robot beeped as he complied with the request by delving into his memory to retrieve this profile.

"Hmm...intriguing..." Elvin Gadd put a hand on his chin. Then he snapped his finger. "Gadzooks! Say, I wonder if Madame Clairvoya would know anything about this extremely powerful and deranged being?"

R.O.B. followed his creator, slightly perplexed, out of the library (they had found no additional information about the Hell Lord) to the dark, purplish room where the eerie, ghostly being known as Madame Clairvoya permanently resided. They found her creepy translucent figure gazing at her candescent crystal ball as usual.

The professor cleared his throat. "A-hem. Er...Madame? May we have a word with you?"

[glow=purple,2,300]"The Spirits beyond the grave beckon to me! I cannot, must not, refuse their insights![/glow]

The surreal, echoey voice always caused them to jump, no matter how many times they heard it. But they could do nothing other than listen to Clairvoya's otherworldly speech, hoping their presence had been noticed.

[glow=purple,2,300]"Yes...here they come...their calls are reaching me through the divine third eye...

The world has much to fear, for the time draws nigh
When the ruler of all that is evil will come by
with his legions of dark creatures of every size
and generals of sword loyalty who will not compromise...

And no force in this world can at the time being resist
the doom that falls upon the land which is this
The forces of darkness will reign with a shadowy fist
And will not be hindered by the falling SSS...

There is only one hope to end His reign
A boy and his fellows must converse with the insane
And find the Lord's only equal in a dimension apart
To make his life as cold as his heart...

[Dark World Pyramid: Doom, Snicket, Snake, Veronica, Yoshi, Mr. Game & Watch, Ike, Amaya, Zel, Brooke, Ian, Lynx, Zero, Nightmare]

Snicket watched as Nightmare continued his personal feud with Zero. He turned to Doom, Zel, Amaya, and the others. "Alright, it looks like we need to just wait this out and find a way to defend ourselves."

"Yoshi!" Yoshi had an idea. The others looked at him uncertainly, but began shaking their heads when the green dinosaur flicked out his tongue as a hint of what his "idea" was.

"Sni-cket! What do I do now?"

Bob turned to Game & Watch, who was still outside the dome. This dark pyramid, if it was like any dungeon he'd ever been in, had to have a boss key of some kind. He called back. "Go explore the pyramid and see if you can solve the puzzles and make it easier for us to reach Agahnim. Try to find a Boss Key if you can." Snicket thought, and then added, "Here, I'll come with you...in a sense..."

The boy lifted his Illusionist's gloves and created an illusion of himself next to Game & Watch. Now he could follow along without actually following along.

"Rog-er that, Bob." With that, the silhouette Brawler and Snicket Illusion wandered off and disappeared into one of the branching tunnels.

[The King Of Darkness]

Nightmare sensed GAW escaping so he thought fast and spit out a minature version of himself.

Nightmare: Now my dear child... see Mr. Game and Watch running? He is your enemy. Give him pain.... Kill him if it makes you happy! HOP TO IT!

Nightmare Jr. Flew right through the dark dome and proceeded to chase down Mr GAW. Mr G&W now realizing he was in trouble started to run for his life.

[Where the Black Knight's castle used to be]

Steele emerged from the rubble and wreckage of the castle that he destroyed. He pushed over a rock that was squishing his right foot. He dusted off himself, and began to look for the Black Knight. He had no doubt that the knight was alive; he had made sure of it not to completley destory the castle.

Suddently about 5 yards behind Steele, the hand of the Black Knight bursted out from the rubble. Slowly he pulled himself up, and stood facing Steele.

"So, I ask you a question, and you destoy my castle." The Black Knight said.

"Don't worry" Steele replied "Crehavos can repair it with a snap of his fingers, that is, if you choose to comply."

"That's not going to happen" The knight said in a serious voice.

"Don't worry, Crehavos himself is much more pursuasive"

Steele unsheathed his katana, while the Black Knight unsheathed his. They dashed towards each other, ready to strike with their swords. They clanged their blades, trying to push back on one another. The Knight overpowered Steele, and pushed him back. With Steele's defences down, the knight slashed at his chest. "GAH!" Steele shouted. He clenched his chest. There was minor bleeding, he could still fight. The knight rushed in for a follow up attack.

Steele raised up his sword to his face, and pointed it down. "Sacred Sword Technique number One!!" Steele thrusted his sword straight into the ground below with the handle sticking straight up. Steele stood there with his face looking down, as though limp. The knight closed in and swung at Steele. As his blade made contact with his body, Steele's eyes opened, and Steele disappered.

Steele quickly reappeared behind the Black Knight. He jumped foward at the knight, while simultaniously, the knight turned around. Steele still had a few moments before the knight was fully aware of what happened. Steele quickly knocked the knight's sword out of his hand, and kicked him in the stomach of his armor. The armor did not budge, but the knight was sent back about 20 yards.

The Black Knight hit the ground with a thud. Steele walked over to him, to find that he had been knocked unconcious. "That should do it" Steele said quietley. He held up his right palm where the Daenm (Did I spell that right?) was on his skin. He opened up a portal back to hell. He tried to throw the knight over his shoulder, but proved too heavy for him with his armor. Steele dragged the knight through the portal by his feet.

Steele dragged the Black Knight over to Crehavos. "My lord, I have brought you the Black Knight as commanded."

[Crehavos, Big Boss, Steele, Black Knight]

The Hell Lord and the elderly man were speaking to each other, but then Steele entered the room through a portal, dragging the obviously unconscious Black Knight along by his feet.

"Back so soon?" Crehavos asked soothly.

"Yes, I had to get him to come by force." Steele responded. "Uh... was I interupting something?"

"No no, it's nothing urgent. Big Boss and I were just discussing some matters is all." Crehavos guestured towards the elderly man standing near Steele.

Steele looked rather surprised to see another already joined Crehavos' side. He was pulling them in by the gross. "Oh, I see. Hello there, I'm Steele!" He went to shake Big Boss' hand, but the old man made no sign of returning the handshake. Steele frowned, saddened by the stand-off-ish personality, and backed away.

"Now Big Boss, we will discuss this matter later. For now, you may venture to your new room. You're probably in need of rest, no?" Crehavos said softly.

"Yes, thank you my liege." Big Boss said while taking a low bow.

"My servants will lead the way." Crehavos said with a snap, and a few demonic human looking people appeared; dressed in royal, silky clothes of black as dark as the night sky, and red as the petals of a lively rose. They gathered Big Boss' belongings and lead him out of the room, leaving Steele and Crehavos alone with an unconscious knight.

"Awaken..." The Hell Lord whispered harshly.

The Black Knight began to stir, and he stood up holding his aching head. However, once he spotted where he was, he immediatly began turning around the room in confusion, letting out little gasps and inaudible words.

"Zelgius the Black Knight, I have summoned you here on merely a matter of business." Crehavos said with authority imbedded in his voice.

"Where in the world am I? Who are you," Zelgius said with rage, and then he turned to Steele and shouted, "What have you done to me, whelp?!"

"He was commanded to bring you to me by my request." Crehavos said. "As I presume he told you, Zelgius, I have an offer for you."

The Black Knight stood still and turned his voice to a very proper and polite tone. "And what may that offer be, O' powerful King of the Underworld?"

The Hell Lord's face twisted into a vile grin, humored by this one's politeness and respect. "An offer of power, in exchange for eternal survitude to me."

The Black Knight stood there still as motionless as before, expression undescribable since his face was impossible to see. Then he finally got on on knee, bowing. "I offer thee my eternal servitude, in exchange for power that is destined to be mine."

Crehavos stood up, and held a hand over the knight. While the red and black aura flowed through Crehavos' palm and over the Black Knight, in a quiet, but confident voice, Crehavos said, "So you accept it, so it shall be."

Nightmare Jr. Flew out of the the dark dome at full speed pursuing G&W. G&W ran as Nightmare Jr. followed close behind. Nightmare Chased G&W all over the inside of the pyramid to this song.

While back in Nightmares Dark Dome He stood off with Zero. Nightmare Laughed.

Nightmare: Mwah ha hah so hotshot you want to fight Nightmare?

There was a short pause before Zero spoke.

Zero: Fight you? No, I WANNA DESTROY YOU!

Zero rushed in and got into a fist fight with Nightmare. The threw punches and kicks but Zero was too fast. Nightmare took direct blows continually. Despite Nightmares Best effort Zero was still to strong for Nightmare....Or Was he?

Nightmare: Not bad... you've grown stronger from where you were all those years ago. But this Fight isnt over yet....NO we've only just begun!!! AAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

The whole sky turned Pitch Black... The sky was as dark as in peoples Scariest nightmares. The whole area began to shake like MAD!! The ground itself started to crack. The Dark dome grew even stronger as Nightmare started to transform. He grew sharp pointy horns from his head. He grew long black hair and demon fangs. Spikes and demonic like bat wings formed from his back. His hand turned into deadly claws. Nightmares Black aura overflowed as he finished his newly awakened power. Nightmare had transformed into Demon Nightmare. Zero stood tall and brave as he looked at his new foe. Zero sensed his power and was a little intimadated secretly.

Zero: You're a monster!!!

Nightmare: Monster? I'm not a monster..... IM A GOD!!!

[Kitt eh]

Lynx sat in the rubble, rubbing the back of his neck, getting pain out of it. Zero had dropped him back on the rocks after pulling him out. Lynx watched Nightmare and Zero fight, trying to think, he couldn't think of anything though. But now Nightmare had changed into demon form, and still Lynx was stumped. Lynx picked up a piece of rock from the ground, and looked at it.

What exactly are you thinking about? Akki asked. "Nothing... I have no idea what to do next, everything I do gets countered." Lynx answered. "And if I get to close that could be risky..." Lynx finished. Unless you use element of surprise. Akki said, giving a chuckle.

Lynx grinned, "Maybe..."

Lynx stood up, drawing a single symbol on the ground, and then slashing the middle of it. Around where Nightmare and Zero were standing, random explosions came from the cracks being made in the ground. Where they would come from was unpredictable, even for Lynx.

If that demon can dodge that I'll be surprised. Akki said.

[Dark Pyramid: Doom, Snicket, Snake, Veronica, Yoshi, Ike, Amaya, Zel, Brooke, Ian, Lynx, Zero, Nightmare]

A giant green-spotted egg sat in the corner of the dome (does that make sense?) during the fight against Nightmare. Inside, all the SSS members were safe from Nightmare's or anyone else's attacks. The trade-off was that they couldn't do anything...and the interior of their shield was completely dark. Some tried to sleep, others listened warily. But Bob Snicket was concentrating on controlling his illusion of himself to follow alongside Game & Watch...

[Dark Pyramid: Mr. Game & Watch, Snicket Illusion, Nightmare Jr.]

Mr. Game & Watch gasped and panted as he and the Snicket imitation dashed through dark passageways which intersected innumerably throughout the maze. They could hear the light footsteps of Nightmare Jr. close behind.

"I was-n't made to trav-el this fast!" Game & Watch complained. "All my mot-ions are jer-ky and ab-rupt..." But as complaining did not seem to help the situation, the Brawler gathered up all the determination and courage within him and ran on. They climbed down a narrow flight of stairs which curved in a 180 degree angle to the right and entered into a wider room. This room, made of ancient cracked stone like everything else, was simple except for a HUGE, probably 50 ft wide gap separating them from the ground on the other side where a door continued on.

The Snicket illusion, being immaterial, simply walked on thin air across the gap and turned to the black silhouette expectantly on the other side.

"Well, that's just cheat-ing..." But the crafty Brawler also made use of a way to cross the gap. With a leap of faith, he ran and leapt over the black abyss, and released a 2-D parachute while at his highest point. He floated safely to the other side, then looked back at where Nightmare Jr. stood at the edge of the hole.

"Let's see you get ac-ross that!" Game & Watch taunted.

[smashbro]

smashbro nodded to Misami.
"Alright, you can get rid of the illusions, I should be able to hold him off for a while," smashbro replied. He created 6 domes over Iownedyou, each a different color. He didn't expect any of them to hold off Iownedyou for long, but it was better then nothing. smashbro then took out his staff, and using all his power, hit the floor around the energy barriers surrounding Iownedyou, making it crack. If too much weight was put in any posistion near there, the floor would fall in at least a little, maybe even into the floor below. Then, smashbro changed the staff back into the sword, and got ready to fight.

Nightmare Jr was taunted by game and Watch but He laughed at them both as he simply flew over the gap and shot a ball of dark energy towards G&W.

Meanwhile Lynx sucessfully blew Nightmare to smitherines on for him to reform completely unharmed. Nightmare targeted Lynx for being a annoying to him. Nightmare charged Lynx only for Zero to once again save his butt by warping in and knocking Nightmare for a loop in the face. Lynx was again grateful towards Zero. Zero reached in his armor and pulled out a senzu bean and threw it at lynx.

Zero: Here! Eat a senzu bean and get up! Its embaressing!

LGN: Wait I just realized something!

Bert: What?

LGN: Steele's gone, NO!! SSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! *breaths in* EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Bert: What are we going to do?

LGN: There is only two thing's we can do: we have lost Geo, Kin, and now Steele to Crehavos. Dobs's location is unknown and the SSS forces are at a new low. I'm afraid that if we go back to the Dark World Pyramid where Snicket and the others are they will already be gone and not need of out help, or we could go back to the HQ, though all we could do is ponder over this menacing problem that threatens to destroy your entire world.

Peram: What about your arm.

LGN: The only one who could help me is Dr. Mario or the doctors back at the HQ. *imaginary light bulb forms over LGN's head* Wait a minute, it all makes sense now.

Peram: Yes LGN, we know, the sky is blue because it wants to.

LGN: No not that, I'm afraid Crehavos will do something taht will endanger the HQ yet again and we are going to need everyone we can get to help protect our home that is in need of repair. We cannot botch this job so we're going to need to split up. I'll go get Proffesor Oak and the Pokemon, what you two do is entirely up to you. But please, bring back to the HQ whoever you think maybe able to help our cause to protect the HQ and this world and figure out a plan to stop this abomination that strikes terror into the hearts of us all. So, you guys up for it?

[Naked Snake II]

They began to wonder the halls of the castle hoping to find someone they knew. Door through door they only found empty rooms or clueless soldiers.

KIN: This would have been soo much easier if we had OUR bodies..With these weak bodies, I can barely so the simplest silver spell.

GEO: And I can't use my Devensian sences. These basic bodies need some adjustment..

KIN: This sucks! We need to posess stronger bodies.

GEO: I think it's safer like this..In these bodies, it hides out our power levels so no one can detect us. We get srtonger bodies, our chances goes up.

KIN: That's true. Gosh I wish there was another way to be able to know where people are.

Steele approached Crehavos. "My lord, is there anything that you shall have me do?"
