[E. Gadd's Lab: Creators' Alliance, Smashbro, ROB, Sandbag] Snicket paused briefly, glanced at Kirby feasting and Professor E. Gadd watching intently, and continued. "I do not deny any of the things you have said....wait...there is one discrepancy. Master Hand, although he is part of my Alliance, had very little to do with this plan. It was purely my idea...with some assistance from the good professor here to help it proceed." Bob nodded towards E. Gadd, who nodded back in acknowledgement. "And I have three things to say: One: Ever since forumers have stepped forth into the Smash World, they have--how should I put it?-- stolen the spotlight from the residents, from the Brawlers. They come with all of their magical powers and whatnot, overpowering not just the SIE, but any Brawler who challenges them. They have taken away the dominion of the Brawlers over their own lands, forcing them to assume a position of inferiority in their own domain. That does not strike me as particularly fair, and perhaps it is part of why Link detests you as leader so much. In removing these excess abilities, to the simple mind I might just be aiding the SIE, but really I am also doing a favor to those who for too long have been ignored almost entirely, and who apparently do not have abilities even close to those of the forumers. I am restoring the balance which has long been absent. " Two: My most sincere advice to you and the other forumers about this whole situation is to use your imagination. Pretend that me and the others with me do not even exist, and you may be surprised with the results. The SSS has never been defeated up until now; why should it begin to fail now? Perhaps for a while the forumers will have a bit less influence, a bit less strength, but this will give the Brawlers their rightful chance to shine, and eventually the SIE will no doubt grow stronger, and the Creators' Alliance may see fit to grant you back your extra powers. Besides, so far you all seem to be faring very well even without them. I have the interest of everyone in mind. " Three: Even if you were to be displeased with this turn of events, what will you do about it?" Snicket continued to smile. "Alright," smashbro said, taking it all in. "I'll admit, the part of thinking it was Master Hand was just guesswork. I would not have assumed it to be you, becuase I didn't know you very well, and becuase I thought you were the kinda of person who would want to help people, not hurt them. As for us forumers stealing the spotlight of the brawlers, I say thats bull. They are the ones who have games afterthem and their own worlds who practically worship them. They are the reason we forumers came to the world, well kinda, and have all of theeir powers still. You talk about balance, but you should then know that the brawlers have already had their share of adventures, so to balance things out between us, the forumers should have many adventures too. And is it not true that you are outshining a brawler, kirby, in your own aliance? How can you accuse us of doing something that is exactly the same as what you do? I can not pretend that you do not exist, because if I did I would be ignoring a large enemy. By this I mean the Hands. They have been against us so far, so there would be no reason for us to believe they have changed. What gives your alliance the authority to say who is deserving of powers and who is not? Why not us? Why not the SIE? What makes you think you are better then everyone else? As for being able to fare without our powers, yes, we can. But that does not mean we shouldn't have them. If it was a difference between having us not have powers and saving a life, what would you put to be more imporant. Our powers are benefitting people, and you take them away. So why do you allow Iownedyou to have powers, If all he does is destroy? And we are not defeated. We will never be. Because no cause is lost as long as there is one fool left to fight for it. I plan on being that fool. And I will do everything in my power to make everything right. You obviously don't know how determined I can be. I will keep trying to make things better until the day I die, and even after. You want to try and stop me by killing me? What will it be, the 5th time or something? I don't die that eaisly, and neither do i give up that easy. And if there was a boy, whose parents my be able to be saved, would you rather have me deprived of my powers, unable to save them, like what happened to your parents?" |

Snicket's smile left, and he glared at Smashbro.
"This is one of the reasons why I refuse to be a part of the SSS. You and your friends make terrible assumptions. You may have failed to notice, but ever since I have been in this world, I have not harmed or hurt a single soul. The only thing I have destroyed is my own illusions...and one Primid, but that was in order to save myself.
"And based on the way you speak of the Brawlers, to you their time is over, and now their opportunities belong to the forumers. Why not just name the next game Super Forum Bros.? I knew I would have regretted consigning myself to being in a game. As for Kirby, I have not tried to overpower him or tell him what to do at all; he chose to join my Alliance. I am most likely weaker than any Brawler or any Forumer; I do not claim to be a strong fighter, nor do I profess to be more powerful or better than anyone else.
"The fact is, you and the rest of the SSS consider your adventures and friendships to make your lives worthwhile. I simply consider overseeing your adventures makes my life worthwhile.
"Finally, I do not know how you know about my parents, but trust me, I do not find death entertaining. Of course I would choose powers over inability to save; but I have yet to see such a circumstance. Besides, about two-thirds of the SSS has died and come back to life already; I don't see any danger with the...resilience of the forumers as it is.
Snicket looked back where the Hands were in the basement, and they seemed to be getting restless. He looked back at Smashbro. "It is fun having long detailed arguements with you and all...but the facts have still not changed: we are in control of this facility, and I suspect that the SIE will not wait for us forever. Neither will the Hands."

Smashbro got angrier as he heard Snicket's reply. "You haven't harmed anyone, have you? So then what the freak happened to my powers? Tell me that isn't harming me.
As for making assumptions, yes, I do make some bad ones, I'll take the blame for that cause it's mostly me, so don't hold that against anyone else.
I don't believe that the brawlers time is over, I believe that us forumers time is now. I know that they will have more adventures of their own, I am sure of it. But for the forumers, I'm not so sure.
Kirby joined your alliance like the brawlers joined the SSS. You had the idea to take away our powers like I gave the idea to keep the SSS running and helping out. Face it. You are like me."
Smashbro paused when he heard the part about making his life worthwhile. He could not speak for the other brawlers, and what he said was true. It did make him feel like his life was worthwhile.

Well then," smashbro said, trying to turn around the conversation. "Since you respect the brawlers, you wouldn't mind teleporting ROB and smashbag to the HQ safely, would you? And what do you mean the hands won't wait for us?"

"Professor, show ROB and Smashbag to...er...whatever you have that can teleport them to their HQ, will you?" "Sure, Bob. Right this way, fellas." The professor gestured for the robot and Sandbag to follow him, and, after a questioning glance at their leader, they went after E. Gadd into the main room of the laboratory where most of his inventions were, out of sight of the meetingroom. "Now," Snicket said to Smashbro. "What do you choose to do? There still is time for you to return as well, if you wish. But the Hands could be up here at any moment, and I'd as soon prefer that you not attempt to take on the Creators' Alliance; not alone, at least..." |

"Well, you think I'd be stupid enough to attack you all alone, when you already knew I was here?" asked smashbro. "Well, maybe alone, but if I wanted to attack, I would have done so right from the start." or if he had gotten me angrier... "but what I'd like to do is negotiate. If possible, I'd rather there not be a war to be fought over our powers...well, not against you, Kirby, or Gadd for that matter. But I was wondering...maybe we can negotiate over lunch. At a cliff. Thats by water. which is definately not oddly specific." They then heard a noise from the other room. All 3 turned to look, but smashbro looked back quickly, and looked at a note, from ROB. Don't do anything stupid.Smashbro laughed to himself at this. "I won't" he said to himself, rolling his eyes. "What's so funny?" asked Kirby. "Oh nothing..." replied smashbro. "Do you guys have salami? Or maybe my favorite vegetable would do." (lol) |

Snicket considered Smashbro's suggestion. "Hm. I don't see what either of us will be able to negotiate, but I would consent to further discussion if you find it neccessary. Apologies, but we won't have time to eat salami or...whatever your favorite vegetable is...before one of the Hands comes up here. Where exactly do you propose we meet?"

"What is it?" asked Kirby.
"Just try guessing. it doesnt matter that much...and i'm sorry but i have to quote this." smashbro said. Then he went toward the window and opened it. He walked back to a point where a chandelier was between him and the open window. "I take it that you who have taken my energy creating powers that I realized I had after an evil person with powers forced me to fight people who are now my friends, do not want me to meet the floating hands that are coming up who want to attack me. so Gentlemen, I wash my hands of this weirdness." smashbro then jumped, grabbed the chandelier, and swung. Then he let go and flew out of the window. Snicket and Kirby heard a crash.
"I'm ok..." smashbro yelled. Then he got up and walked away.

Smashbro then found a cliff by the water. He called ROB.
"Smashbro, are you ok?" asked ROB. "Why did you send us away?"
"I figured that i still had some negotiating to do, and the way I can get back would not work as well for you and smashbag, since I'm still...in the market, as it were. I figured it would be the easiest way to get you guys back. I'll be back soon, I just plan on having lunch. bye." smashbro then hung up. "Speaking of being in the market..."he said, picking up a small piece of black wood. "I like this wood." He then put it near the edge of the cliff.
He called up Geo, and told him what Necro had told him.
"yeah, I'm fine. I'm doing...negotiations. I'll be back to the HQ soon, so don't worry about me. I sent back Smashbag and ROB, not sure if you got my note."

Everyone rushed to Geo.
DOBS: What did you find?
Geo pulled out a mask. It was cracked in the left eye hole. It was an opera mask that looked angry.
MARELLA: What's so good about that?
GEO: Dunno. Could be Saint's. Could have just been here.
Suddenly they heard a faint beep.......beep........beep.
KIN: What's that sound?
Geo turned the mask around and saw a device with a red glowing dot.
Beep.........beep........beep
DOBS: Oh. Don't tell me it's what I think it is.
Suddenly everyone else realized what he thought.
EVERYONE: It's a BOMB!!!!
KIN: Throw it. We need the site as it is!!!
GEO: I don't know the proximity of the bomb!!!!
LGN: I got it!
LGN grabs the mask and threw it high up.
LGN: Everyone DOWN!!
Suddenly there was a big explosion up above. Luckily the explosion wasn't that big or else they might have been in it.
SAMUS: Alright seems to me we gotta be careful for other traps.
GEO: ALright Let's get to it

Snicket looked at Professor E. Gadd and Kirby in a wondering look, who both shrugged, and he turned back to the window that Smashbro had swung out of.
"Bob!" Sandshrew said from his shoulder. "Something's exceedingly strange about what this person wants us to do...go to a cliff by water, and bring a vegetable? What could possibly be the purpose of this? It could be a trap of some sort..."
"Don't worry, Sandshrew," Snicket said. "I never let down my guard; and if something should happen, I have more than one way to protect myself. Let us go after him; there is nothing else for it..."
And so Snicket, with Gadd and Kirby alongside him, followed Smashbro to the cliff by the water, Snicket carrying a large carrot in one hand.
"So why is it that you desire to have lunch here?" he addressed Smashbro.
