((OOC: This thread in no way affects the main rpg. Death Enabled. Open.))
"Gah, I hate this blasted weather. How large is this monstrosity?"
I trudged on up the frosty roadway as it wound up and around the moutain pass. The snow that fell from the clouds from above mounted on my shoulders, my breath was ghastly visible. I'll never know how those Ice Climbers do it, but I may soon find out.
"Beats me Tavilon, but just remember our objective." A voice said on the other side of the transmitter.
"You know I don't like the cold." I replied. Now even the goggles on my face were beginning to collect frost.
"You should have thought about that before you accepted the job. Keep your eyes on the goal ahead and we'll be living the life my friend." The voice was sounding way too confident in my chances, I was already starting to contemplate if I should just turn around and head home.
"Fine just keep me posted," I told him.
"Yeah sure we--" The signal dropped out. Great.
I marched on, the night sky had almost engulfed everything and visibility was becoming a factor: good thing I'm only climbing a mountain.

The one that was called Angel just for the sake of being called something was slowly loving the mountain though. She was here because it was safe to be here at the moment of time when she came up here. The cold, heat, whatever.. it actually didn't bother her. Her extreme adaption genetics were already used to the simple things like temperatures and after an hour or so, she had come to already consider this temperature normal.. so much that her form was wearing a small but still feminine dress and she was wandering around normally. She could get used to this sort of environment.. it seemed it kept alot of different kinda people away and it was just private. Her cockroach body and mind didn't seem to like it very much, though it was toleratable in small doses. Was almost kinda.. homey? At first, the night and the cold wind had made it hard to see for her, but like all things her body quickly adapted to the situation and she was able to see just fine after a while.
Of course, it was a sad course of fate that her new visitor was here just in time to show that even in the ice mountain.. that complete immunity to other people wasn't possible. Despite the fact that her body felt perfectly fine temperature wise, right this moment it was so scared that it was shivering just like as if she was feeling the full blunt of it. People. Scary. People were scary. Scary people. Her mind running on it's pure instinct. Angel started watching him as far away as possible, hoping he wasn't going to notice her like she noticed him. She already was starting to build up the power in her body, just in case he turned out to be threatening. Even though it was still mostly untested, she was starting to learn that it was the only way she could really get people gone.. the rest of herself was all about surviving. Though, even if he did see her the only way he could tell something was amiss about her (other than the fact that she was dressed for a summer tea party and not a winter voyage) was the fact that she was slightly glowing.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UHda8pi8E8(Russian theme - Call of Duty: World at War) Minutes went by after my conversation and yet there wasn't a living being to be seen. I'd often look around and all I would see is light of the stars and the moon, although one of them did appear lower than the rest. It must be the fact that I'm ascending the mountain, no one would be foolish enough to live out here; minus those escamos. I guess that makes me pretty foolish for being up here, but it'll be worth it. Those that make the greatest strides to further themselves and their people, are the one's remembered in the book of history. I saw a small indent in the mountain that would give me an adequate shelter for the moment. I popped out my sandwitch and enjoyed one of the few bits of food I had in this journey. My lord the sanwitch is already starting to freeze. Better be quick, this weather is turning for the worst. I stuffed as much as I could intio my mouth and paused for a moment, the star that seemed lower than the others seemed to.....shake? Perhaps not shake, but it surely wasn't standing still. Is someone following me? Surely it isn't another Marauder, they aren't that block-headed. Ah well, the weather will scare them off this mountain.....but then again why not make sure for myself.

Angel had lived all her life in an environment without anyone but the most inhumane of scientists. She never knew love in her life, caring, nurturing, any of the good in life we come to treasure. However, she herself wasn't a bad person despite it all. It almost seems completely improbable, but even in a life filled without good in it, she was a good person herself.
But because of her treatment by humans, she hadn't been the happiest with finding them around. In fact, even though it scared her she liked her cockroach form more in the "social" regard. The other roaches were nice to her for the most part, if being nice meant that they didn't really fight her for any food she found or try to hurt her in anyway. She had been getting bigger and some of the other roaches even gave her special attention, though she was still scared of them and tried to hide. She wasn't aware that they were males following the scent of a female who even unnoticed to her own self was ready to produce.
One the side effects of becoming a cockroach though is not only being even more afraid of people.. but being desperate for food in any kind. Moldy food, waste, whatever she could get her hands on she ate. It was this fact that made her curious as to the other human.. only slightly.. not wanting to leave his sight for too long just in case he dropped something. The snow had occasional things to nibble and her body didn't need food all that much to survive, just minimal amounts of it.. but she still had a strong desire for it. She had been getting a bit closer and with her enhanced eyesight.. was starting to get a better look at him. Risking being seen, she allowed herself to get close enough to him to notice that he seemed to have some kinda food.. which made her excited. When he left, maybe she would scurry about in her roach form around and about looking for any crumbs he might have dropped. Then she could follow him even more and wait for him to drop some more. That is.. unless he started being aware of her doing so, in which she would run as fast as she can or defend herself as best as she can. She might be a good girl, but she was also half bug. That meant food and survival were a big part of her life. She didn't realize that her glowing was increasing and compromising this though.

I'm not sure what to do with this light, half of me thinks it's just an illusion, and the other thinks it's something or someone waiting to jump me. If the latter, then they're doing a pretty bad job. But I don't even know what that thing is, assuming it's living. But whatever it is, I can't have it following me up like some leech, it's imperative that I reach my destination unseen. Just to make sure that it's living or not.... I yanked my pistol out it's holster. The light must have saw it because it twitched just a tad, but not enough for me to assume it real. I slowly raised my hand at pointed the pistol to the right of the glowing dot. The dot froze, I focused my eyes on the light speck. Neither of us moved. I sat there, deadlocked there for minutes, but my patience was wearing thin. To shoot, or not to shoot? That is not the question, and all I can now is that I hope this thing doesn't have friends. www.youtube.com/watch?v=IE7Bq6P6GKI(Gears of War 2 - Hell Breaks Loose) Pow! The speck bolted away to the left, it is living! The shoot echoed throughout the mountains, tiny isicles fell from the roof above me. I saw the bullet richoshay off a rock and fly off into space. I threw myself up and drew my halberd. I was already wasting time, the weather could worsen at any moment, and my internal stopwatch was beeping. But then again, what's the rush? Whoever's out here should surely serve some purpose, maybe even a benefit. "Run, run, run as fast as you can! But I will catch you, Ginger Bread Man!"

People were so scary and violent. "So scary. Angel scared. Why shoot? Angel scared. Loud noise. Angel scared." she was speaking over and over, her first words in a long time due to the pure fear. Without even considering who she was or why she was here, he had already shot her. Not that shooting her.. well, it still was really scary. The noise was very loud and she still was worried it would hit her so she dug herself a little pile in the snow, not really running anymore.. hoping to hide in the mass of winter tundra. She was sniffling and crying and basically just a right mess, she just never had a good experience with humans it seems. Though, at this point, her body was still radiating it's bright light and even though the snow was acting as a filter.. it wasn't really stopping her from shining either. It was going to be worth it thought if he kept acting super scary.

I dashed through the snow cap mountains after my foe. Although I never caught a glimpse of what it or after I drew it out, I knew it had to be around. It couldn't have gotten far, how could I miss something that glows in the dark? I'm still curious as to the fact that it glows, I've never seen anything like it. It's not like a light from a lantern or flashlight it's......more potent. But whatever it was, I can't see it. The storm is getting worse, and I haven't even reached the village yet.
Come to think of it, if that thing were to be hunting me it would have attacked and not scurried away. It hopes to find an opening, or a way out. Regardless I must keep moving, I have more pressing matters to attend too. However, if this rodent wants to play tag along, be my guest.....for now.
I reached into my backpack and ripped some crust off my sandwich. I slowly placed it on the ground and then went on my way again.

(OOC: Yeah! My first time RP-ing! Hope it doesn't suck!)
Pow!
"Wuh-huh!?" Solitaire shot up, woken from his nap by the sound of gunfire. He quickly looked around his cave, hmm, whoever it was, they weren't shooting at him, which for now was all he cared about. He had taken refuge in the mountains a couple of days ago, after several members of The Agency had tracked him down. Well, he was pretty sure he had lost them, and the sound of someone running around nearby piqued his intrest. Exiting the cave, Solitaire quickly spotted a figure in the distance, he looked through the scope of his sniper rifle and saw a man, being followed by what appeared to be, what was it... a large, glowing cockroach? Letting curiosity get the best of him, he lowered his gun and began to follow suit.

Okay, whoever the genius was that thought building a village ontop of this forsaken mountain most either be one of the most brilliant men ever and one of the laziest. Oh sure, it would be a great place to build a village from strategic standpoint if you like hidding rare objects of major importance, hence why I'm here. But on the flipside the weather inepts travel on these blasted roads, and whoever his roadcrew is should get fired. God I must be tired of climbing this mountain, my mind is wondering so much. Will they miss me if I just die here and don't return? Probably, maybe, possibly, no wait--
I heard something, footsteps in the snow. I twirled around, halberd pointed: but nothing was there. Surely, it must have been that glowing being following me again, but if it were, I would surely see it, wouldn't I? More tag alongs, gah. If this keeps up I'll be "glowing" with pride. Who knew I'd attract such a crowd in this day and age? If they follow me any further, they'll see why people usually do the opposite.
I kept walking, unaware of how close I was to the edge. Another step, a loud crack, and the ice and show beneath my boots slipped away and fell away. I tried to retreat back but I was caught with it. I desperately flailed my arms and got ahold of solid peice of rock jeting out. This night just keeps getting better and better.

Solitaire was mad. After following the man for a while, he finally saw his intended destination, it was a village. Why had he been hiding in a cave the last two days if there was a village just a few miles away?
Well, whatever, what he was interested in now was what the man was doing there. Why would anyone care about a little village on the top of a mountain, in the middle of nowhere?
Apparently, in his haste to get to the village, he stepped to close to the figure, causing him turn suddenly, wielding a pole weapon of some sort. Solitaire quickly dove to the ground, and the odd insect quickly scurried away, both apparently escaping the man's site.
'Heh, a little jumpy I see' Solitaire smirked, only a novice would be that skittish. He stayed down on the ground, and waited until the man turned around and continued to walk foward. Suddenly, the man seemed to literally "drop" out of his site. Worried, Solitaire decided that the entire stalker game had gone on long enough and proceeded to fly towards were he last saw the man.
When he finally reached the cliff, he couldn't help but laugh at what he saw, that guy actually fell off the cliff. Landing, he walked to the edge and reached out his hand.
"Need some help there?"

[OOC: Pay attention please, she hasn't made a cockroach transformation.. yet]
It had been a minutes and minutes since he had started to approach. After careful waiting, she decided to finally emerge from the snow. Pushing the white powder off herself she sat up and looked around. She could see him in the distance and it seemed like someone else was around too. It didn't matter.. it seemed he had gotten pretty close to him because she also saw something else.. and smelled a hint of it too in the cold air. Being able to see it, she didn't have to turn into a roach to go and start nibbling on the crusts of the bread excitedly. Now that really WAS good and worth it.. it did seem like she had an advantage around here because with the visibility and cold night air she was the one that could see and survive the best in it. Brushing the snow of her thin, lacy sun dress that almost looked comical in the snow, she again started to scurry about.. looking to see if any one them would drop her next meal.
She walked onwards and saw another insect on the snow. How odd.. it wasn't her but it was surely fascinating. She remembered where she spent her time and realized she might have brought it up here by accident... which definitely didn't make her feel any better. They wouldn't last like she would. She was remaining a good distance away from them.. and in the night air she wouldn't just appear like the first man had seen her before, a strange glowing dot a-ways away. And if anyone approached, she would burrow again.
