It's interesting where ones travels can take them isn't it? Life is quite a mystery and at every twist and turn, one could find something new and exciting in the world around them. Today was no exception for a certain fellow tonight. Under the nocturne light of the moon and stars above, Nouri's travels had taken him to a small village far off on the eastern corner of the world. The area here was home to a vast range of rocky mountains. Desolate, quiet, and with only a small gust of wind from the north every now and then, it was a wonder if anyone would even consider settling here. But lo and behold, people did.
Standing at the center of town, it was easy to see just what type of place this was. The village here had once been a part of one of the many mountains abound but the larger land formations had been hollowed out and converted into buildings and living spaces. Short little towers with plenty of "windows" to let in the fresh air and for the areas with a bit of rise and space, there were rope bridges to connect them together. Not a single actual building he could see was made by traditional means. But, no matter. He didn't come here to sight see, oh no. The young thief had simply come to this destination to take part in this little tournament he had gotten himself all caught up in. The people as he could sense were still around and about but watching quietly in the safely of their own homes, no doubt a precaution of what was to come.
Fun as it was, he was really hoping he could actually get some fighting done and have a challenge as so far, nothing to test his might had come his way and he simply did in the small creature that was his opponent by roasting and devouring him over an open fire with not a lick of resistance. But, he was hopeful that his next fight would be a more interesting scuffle. He solemnly stood his ground and dusted off the shoulders of that yellow trench coat he was so fond of.

And he was right, the quiet Shinobi village was the host of the tournaments Semi-finals. Though the inhabitants looking mighty scared for there property and possession hopefully it wouldn't get damaged....Too much..
S heavy Spiritual Pressure befall the area. It was dense and muggy like a strong gravity pushing everything down to the center of the earth. Any normal person would of bound to the ground by the pure force of it's power. But no, not Nouri it would seem. Though that wasn't Jin's attention....Not at all....
"Hado# 9 White Lightning." Jin would utter from a seemingly far away distance. Her figure nowhere apparently seen but a strong concentrated bolt of lightning was coming from behind Nouri at an extremely quick pace to boot. Riding along his natural blind spot and aiming to impact and penetrate the right side of his torso.
Oh ho' how would Nouri handle such an assault.

Oh how ominous. The feeling of being watched always made the hairs on the back of his neck stand on their tippy toes. Most people had that natural feeling of being watched in times like this but for Nouri, that wasn't quite his case. In truth, He psionically felt their eyes looking upon him, eagerly awaiting what was to come and in all honestly, it was making him feel a tad shy and squeamish. Pursing his lips, he slowly looked to the right and just as slow to the left, his mind and heart equally disturbed by them all.
"I really wish you would stop looking at me.." he quietly muttered to himself.
But oho, this type of thing didn't really bother him at all. They could look on as he stripped buck naked, laid himself face down on a giant boulder to tan his butt cheeks on boulder for all he cared. Nouri was always one brimming with self confidence and jokingly told himself that if he felt a stare, it was because he was a dapper looking fellow for sure. One thing was troubling him though at this time and it was a stare he felt off at his right hand side.
He turned to meet it but when he did, he felt an overwhelming amount of pressure on every single point on his body. So dense, muggy, and it was actually forcing him down. If his leg gave way, he would be pressed into the ground. Was this intent to kill?
No.. It was different. He could actually see it in the air around him. All of this couldn't come from someone forcing their own energy upon one person, this was energy disbursement and it had an area of effect. The couldn't feel the gazes of the others around him now simply because they buckled under this show of strength. Nouri was on some level used to feeling such pressure before a fight and he could withstand it with little discomfort. Though he could see the air visibility being disturbed and the pebbles on the ground shaking under its influence, he stayed calm and focused for now, he knew at least where his foe was and with a presence made known, an attack was sure to follow right?
Of course. He felt one coming right now and he didn't have to see it to know, instead, he sensed it was coming. All he felt was a sharp tingle at the back of his head as a warning and subtle psionic "nudge" that alerted him to the direction. Normally, it was after this that his body sent a second signal and automatically took the best approach to keep him from harms way. Nouri however, payed no attention to it and simply tensed his oblique muscles on each side of his torso
It was unlikely his opponent could notice at this point but he had been since the time he had been at the town square been, keeping the balance of his upper and lower body separate while pretending to stand normally. By the time that lightning bolt had sailed off in an effort to pierce him, he was simply controlling his center of gravity and exaggerating the movements of his right leg, shaking it just enough to fool an observer that all balance was on that leg and he was going to step forward. But in fact, his balance was on his left leg, making that the one that was going to move.
When the time came to dodge, it looked as if he was going to step forward to dodge the attack but lo and behold, he actually back stepped to avoid and allow it to sail off towards the village gates. Once that was said and done, he simply stood in place and waited for another strike. Since it appeared his opponent wanted to hide, he felt no obligation to make an offensive move at the moment. Now, he just wanted to see what he or she would do next.

Jin appeared, coming from seemingly nowhere a light 'swish' sound announced her arrival. Landing gracefully on the ground with her left hand on her hip and her right his grasping the sheathe that laid on her side. "Hey handsome." Jin spoke trading words her opponent. It didn't have to be all serious and no play right? Jin winked and smirked, her opponent was only 100 times less attractive then she was...Hmm that's as good as she ever seen before. "Whats ya' name?" Jin asked.

'Swish....?'
Such a distinct sound that brought with it, a certain odd sensation deep within the nifty little rogue. The eyes he felt burning a hole into the side of his head had for a moment, disappeared from his 'radar' until just a moment later where at the focal point of that sound, he laid his eyes upon a beautiful young girl who appeared no older then he was.
Huh...? Huh indeed. It wasn't too unusual to see or do battle with people who could move at high speeds and move about in a blur of motion these days but to move faster then the unfocused eye could follow, now that was rare. He couldn't say that he wasn't surprised or even try to hide it as Nouri's jaw had dropped down completely and his right brow was raised pretty high up.
But, more importantly, he didn't expect this at all. All this time, he thought he was going to fight an intimidating looking adversity but look what he got! Some sultry looking babe who obviously payed a lot of attention to her appearance. But.. he had to take this seriously. As he took a closer look at her for... well many intents and purposes, she looked to be no stranger to a fight. She looked relaxed for the most part and her eyes were unwavering and her hand was closely gripping the sheath of that blade and to top it off, she didn't have any openings he could exploit either.
"Hey handsome."
While she was well trained, she was not above chatting it up. She had called him handsome and even winked at him with a cute little smile! Though he knew he shouldn't let it get to him, how couldn't he? A life on the road with no time for the ladies.. even if it was a tournament and this was his opponent, just a little ego stroke couldn't hurt."Handsome? Me? Aw shucks, I bet you say that to all the guys to dodge a bolt of lightning!" he playfully smiled, drawing his arms in behind his head. "As for my name, I suppose I could tell you!"
He drew a sharp breath and allowed his arms to just flop down to this sides. Giving names was serious business man and not one to be taken lightly as even Nouri's expression had changed from that goofy smile to one of a battle weary warrior making his last stand on the battlefield. She would hopefully listen close and take heed of the words he was going to say.
"My name is.... Heywood Jabome." he spoke, his eyes as still as could be.
