Talk to him, pray for him, talk to his PARENTS, pray for him, have your parents talk to him and his parents. If none of the things work, then..I hate to sound ruthless but... Screw him. He did it to himself and now he's paying consequences. However, I'll pray for him, yew keep talking. maia what... about what you said i cant just abandon him like that im like one of his few REAL friends i just cant do that hes a good guy but hes kind of troubled as a person and im not sure if hed beable to hamdle that. i understand what youve said and if it was anyone else but i cant just abandon him u know. ill hope and ill try to talk to his parents im not sure how he'll take it though hes actually a really good friend but i wont do that im not willing to watch him kill himself |

Plan an intervention with some of your other friends/relatives.
Have multiple people come and talk to them. Also have the aftermath planned such as what you will do to help them if they accept everything. Talk to them about different things...state the concequences, state what you can do to help, state how it has affected you, and state how much your worried. Make sure that if they ask questions, listen but have them answer most of it themselves such as , "When would this be?" reply,"Why don't we check together" and actually physically go through with it. Also, stop all rescue missions. Stop covering up for him for a little. That does not mean avoid him, it just means that you dont need to help him hide his problem. If none of this works....I'm sorry to say.... suggest rehab...I know you might think ," I can't just send my friend to a rehabilitation center!?!?!" but it would be best if the status gets bad enough.... If it does come to rehab, make sure the person he'd listen to most or the closest person to him uggest the rehab.... it makes them think more like their important to these people... plus, the closer the person, the better the affect on the addicted member.

I have really good news about my friend hes in stage 5 of chemo treatment which is called remmision. This means hes winning against his lymphoma. hes not through it yet but hes getting better and almost over the cancer, hes not free of the cancer yet but hes definately alot better off now. He has not stopped partying but hes getting through it.
