Mario and the others went in to attack their metallic counterparts. But moments before even a punch could be swung, a stairway appeared, big enough to hold all the fighters on it, including their metallic counterparts.
The metal alloys were fought on the stairway. Metal Mario vs. Mario, Metal Link vs. Link, etc.
Metal Mario grabbed Mario and swung him around and threw him. After the throw, he was still spinning due to the weight, and because of that, it caused him to wander off the stairway and fall down.
The floor underneath the stairway had disappeared entirely, except for the bit in front.
Metal Link proved to be a bit more difficult. He was not as fast as Link but he hit harder. However, Metal Link made the same stupid mistake Metal Mario did; spinning around, getting dizzy, and wandering off the stage.
Meta Knight, Marth, Django, and Lucario were all fighting their alloys. Meta, Marth, and Django, all having swords, all had a bit of a more difficult time than Lucario. Lucario was fast, really fast. So fast that he managed to roundhouse kick his alloy counterpart 3 times in 6 seconds. He launched an Aura Sphere at the metalloid and he fell off the stairway and down to his death.
Marth used his Dancing Blade technique to his advantage, and took down his alloy by using his charged slash move.
Django and Meta Knight were having the most trouble with theirs, so what they did was switch alloys: Django faught Metal Meta Knight, and Meta Knight fought Metal Django. Both alloys did not see this coming and were taken down.
Mario and the others could finally head up to the top of the stairway, and while they did, the black sillouhette appeared. Of course, this was U.V.E in his true form.
U.V.E launched a large, black, ball with blue electricity surrounding it at the heroes.
Meta Knight: NOOO!
Meta Knight jumped in front of the ball and took the blow. He was knocked back sent flying down the stairs, and landed on the glass floor. His body was badly wounded from the attack. He was breathing heavily.
Mario and the others all ran down the stairway to see what had happened.
Lucario: Meta Knight...
Meta Knight swallowed hard. He knew what was coming. They all did.
Meta Knight: Guys...... I......I'm sorry that.....it..... looks like......
Django: No...You can't die...
Meta Knight let out a small, quiet whisper of a chuckle, and took his last breath. His yellow eyes disappeared from his mask, and his body started to glow, and disappeared.
