Chapter 16: Burden
Poke Earth- New Moon Island
The boat finally arrived at New Moon Island. Riley saw the fallen Mewtwo and quickly ran towards it.
Riley: Dawn, Red, come here, fast!! I need a Max revive!!
Dawn threw her bag on the ground, she then reached in to get a Max revive for Riley.
Dawn:Here, take this. *hands the item to Riley* Is he going to be alright?
Riley: I’m not sure, we will just have to wait and see.
Red:I wonder what happened here.
A few minutes pasted and Mewtwo finally regained conscious.
Mewtwo:*strokes his head* What the!!! Who the hell are you? Where is Nero!?!
Riley: I don’t know what you talking about. We came rushing here when we noticed something major was going down here on this island. But, I know this island is supposed to be home to Darkrai, yet I don’t see him.
Mewtwo: That’s because he teamed up with Nero…Ugh look, I don’t have time to explain things to you I have to track down Nero.
Mewtwo closed his eyes and began to focus his energy. An aura shrouded Mewtwo, and then he waved his arms as if he was ripping something. A portal was created.
Red, Dawn and Riley: Whoa!!
Mewtwo: *Thinking to himself* If my visions are correct, Nero should be heading towards Eagleland. I must hurry!
Mewtwo started to walk towards the portal but the trainers stopped him.
Riley: Wait, let us go with you. We can help you on your quest to stop this “Nero”.
Mewtwo: Look, I don’t need no help from imperfect beings. Besides, you only become a burden. I’m better off by myself.
Red: Hey! I know we’re not perfect but we are only trying to help you! If this “Nero” beat you once, he’ll beat you again *Riley tried to stop him but Red continued on ranting* What will happened then? If we go with you, we can help you defeat Nero with our combined efforts.
Mewtwo released a deep sigh and unwilling allowed the trainers to tag along.
Mewtwo: You guys better not get my way.
With that said, they walked into the portal. Meanwhile in space…
Space- Near Poke Earth
Rayquaza was pursuing The Halberd. Rayquaza was barraging the ship with powerful Dragon Pulse attacks. If Nero didn’t think of something quick the ship would be destroyed.
Nero: This over-sized serpent is getting on my last good nerve. Darkrai would be please take care of him?
Darkrai: As you wish.
Darkrai teleported outside and began to charge up a shadow ball.
Darkrai: Farewell, green one.
Darkrai unleashed his charged Shadow Ball at Rayquaza. The attack sent Rayquaza packing.
Nero: Bravo, Bravo! A one-hit KO!!
Dr. Stiles: If my calculations are correct, then Rayquaza should end up in this planet.*He shows what planet Rayquaza should land on*
Nero: Very good. He should be out of out hair, for now. Now, let’s resume our trip to Eagleland.
Corneria- The Grand Festival Area
Fox, Peppy and Slippy where trying their best to fend off the Cybernetic Ninja Primids but it seems like there was an endless wave of them.
Fox: Darn it!! What are we going to do! They won’t give up, Peppy do you have any ideas??
Peppy:Hmmmm, well we can use a smart bomb to clear this area of these things…
Slippy:Are you nuts!?! The blast will kill us too!!
Peppy: Don’t you think I know that! But we might have to consider because out blasters aren’t don’t much!
Fox: d**n it, if only I call upon my Landmaster…
They decide just to keep blasting away the Primids, but sooner or later, The Primids will over-power the trio.
The Primids started to get more aggressive and smarter, they started to use their katanas to reflect the shots right back towards the trio. This left the trio open for attack.
The primids were going for an attack, if they get to the trio, they would be dead in a heartbeat.
Peppy: This seems like the end.
Fox:Don’t say that!!! Crud, I guess we are going to have to use the smart bomb…
Slippy: WH-WHAAAAAAT!!!!!!!! NOOOOO Fox NOOOOOO!!!
Peppy handed Fox the bomb. Fox was preparing to the throw, but Slippy tried convincing Fox that there must be another option.
Fox got sick of Slippy’s whining and pushed him out of the way so he can throw the bomb. But, before Fox can throw the bomb two ships appeared. It was Star Wolf!!
Wolf:My my, you guys look like you may need some help.
Leon:Peons!! Look at the pathetic Star Fox Crew losing to a bunch armoured freaks!!
Wolf: Leon, I say where did all your manners go? Now let’s be nice and help the unfortunate.
Wolf and Leon where gunning the Primids with their ships’ lasers, while The Star Fox crew where shooting the Primids with their Blasters. When there was less Primids, Wolf and Leon landed their ships and decided to finish their battle with the Primids on the ground.
Leon took out a razor sharp Shuriken, while Wolf relied on his razor sharp claws to do the job.
Wolf:Leon, Peppy, Slippy and Fox are you ready? There will no holding back you hear!
Fox: *thinking to himself* Krystal, Samus I hope you guys are okay…
Corneria- Cherry Blossom Field (An illusion created by Panther Curso)
Krystal and Samus were trapped in Panther’s illusion. There were cherry blossoms everywhere; even the smell of cherry blossoms pierced the girls’ noses.
Krystal: What do you want with us, Panther?
Panther: Hahaha, I want you and only you, Krystal. Samus, however, is not part the equation and she must be exterminated immediately.
Panther started twirl his index finger in a circular motion, as he was doing this cherry blossom petals began circulate around his arm.
Panther: Samus, I would beg for mercy if I was you.
Panther swung his arm sending a myriad of petals towards Samus.
Samus: What the heck!?!?
Samus jumped out of the way, but it seemed pointless. The minute she dodged the attack the wave of petals did a 180 degree turn and overwhelmed Samus.
Samus: *Cough, Cough* W-what I…can’t breath…stupid…petals…
Panther:Muahahaha! Are you going to beg for mercy? No, well then I’m going make sure you suffocate!
It was breaking Krystal’s seeing Samus struggling for her life. She readied her staff and shot out scarlet fireball towards Samus. The fireball dispersed the petals and Samus was free from her flowery prison.
Samus:*catches her breathe* Thanks Krystal I owe you one…
Panther: Krystal, you will regret doing that…Hahahaa!! Do you really think it would be that easy? Fools!!
He said to wave his arms as if they were batons conducting an orchestra, only the orchestra was the cherry blossoms’ petals.
Panther: Now Die!!!
He sent wave after wave of petals at Samus and Krystal, they kept until one wave of petals caught Samus off guard. The petals pierced her skin as if they were tiny little daggers. Samus was bleeding badly.
Samus: Ouch, it’s not as bad as it looks. I’m okay. I just don’t understand, how can petals penetrate skin like that?
Panther: Simple, I can change the biochemistry of petal thanks to my new powers. Now, get up, the show just began!!!!
Krystal: Here comes another wave!!!

Reminisce- The Whole Star Fox Thingy
Just in case you forgot, I will do a quick review on what’s going on in Corneria. So, there was a Festival honoring Star Fox Crew, Samus was with them as well. Then, Falco and Panther show and bring the Primids with them. Falco gets a call from Nero saying he has another job to do, so he leaves. Panther has to capture Krystal and bring her to Nero, so he drags her into a illusion (her drags Samus to but that’s by accident) leaving the three boys (Fox, Slippy and Peppy) to fend off the Primids…And that’s it, a quick recap. Ciao!
