Chapter 15: Mewtwo’s Conflict
Location: Halberd heading towards Poke Earth
Nero: “Dr. Stiles, are we there yet?”
Dr. Stiles “We are almost near at the end of the Worm hole. If I calculated right, we should be there in a few minutes. And, we should land near Full Moon Island.”
Nero was pleased at what he was hearing. A few minutes had passed and they finally entered Poke earth. They landed on a brightly lit island that was surrounded by a haunting and ominous presence.
Location: Poke earth – Full Moon Island
Nero: “This place…is beautiful, isn’t it Derek?”
Dr. Stiles:“Uh, yes I guess. I seen better…” Nero: “Maybe, but this island has an alluring presence. Right, Darkrai?”
Derek didn’t understand what was going on, but Nero could
sense that Darkrai was luring the in shadows, unseen to the naked eye.
Nero: “You can come out the shadows, Darkrai, I won’t bite. I just want to talk you face to face.”
Darkrai slowly rose from the shadows. Darkrai just stared into Nero’s eyes, he was simply amazed at the sheer power emitting from Nero.
Darkrai: “What do you want with me mortal! Are you here to capture me? If so, I hope you know many pathetic humans have tried to capture me before, all have failed.”
Nero: “No, I don’t want to capture you. What I DO want is for you to join me and my cause.”
Darkrai: “What is your cause?”
Nero: (Nero noticed that he had Darkrai’s attention) “Yes, my cause is to create a new Universe, one that is better then our current one.”
Darkrai: “HAHAHA! Foolish mortal, you are more delusional than I thought! You honestly believe that you can change the Universe!?!? Hahaha!”
Nero spent a good amount of time trying to convince Darkrai that he was powerful enough to change the Universe, but Darkrai just wasn’t buying it. All of sudden, Nero sensed and felt an unusually aura nearby. Nero knew who it wasn’t a normal human or Pokemon, it was different and unique. Who can this mysterious entity be? The suspense was killing Nero.
Nero:“He who hides in the shadows, come over here and join us.”
The mysterious robbed figure appeared in front of Nero, Derek, and Darkrai.
Nero:“Who are you? And why were you spying on us? Hmmm, well speak up!”
Robed Figure: “I am nothing more than a shadow created to be a weapon, but I have fought fate and destiny and to change my future. Now I stand before you to stop your devious plans. I had a vision that you would be here, Nero. Who am I? I am Mewtwo.”
Nero:“Ah, so it is you, Mewtwo. (Chuckles) So Darkrai, you said you didn’t believe in my powers, eh? Let me engage in combat with Mewtwo. If I win this battle you will join me, Darkrai."
Mewtwo: “You won’t beat me. My psychic abilities are beyond this world. No one can defeat me, especially not a mere mortal like you. Now, enough with this chit-chat let’s battle!!
Mewtwo vs. Nero – 500 HP each.
Mewtwo began the battle by sending out couple of Psycho Cuts at Nero. Nero put up a psychic barrier to block the incoming Psycho Cut barrage.
Nero: “Ha! I thought you were strong?? I will end this battle RIGHT NOW!!!”
Nero tried to lift up Mewtwo with his psycho kinesis, but Mewtwo immune to the attack.
Mewtwo: “Pathetic! Your puny psychic abilities won’t harm me! Let me give you a dose of your own medicine.”
Mewtwo tried to use Psychic on Nero, but Nero (just like Mewtwo) was immune to the psychokinetic attack.
Nero: “I see it seems like psycho kinesis won’t be usefully in this battle since our psychic abilities appear to be at the same level.”
Mewtwo:“Don’t you dare lump me with you!!! Take this!”
Mewtwo shot a fully charged Shadow Ball at Nero, but Nero shot a purplish mental blast at the shadow ball. When the two attacks collided it caused a massive explosion. Whether Mewtwo liked it or not, he and Nero were equally matched.
Mewtwo: “No this…cannot be…happening. He just keeps on blocking all my attacks. I won’t lose no matter what!”
Mewtwo tried using Psycho Cut again, but it was a complete failure. Nero just slashed all Cuts with his Primid Claw. Mewtwo was in awe. He didn’t know Nero had so much power.
Mewtwo: “What’s wrong with your arm?? How did it just transform like that?”
Nero: “Ah, this old thing? A long time ago I made a deal with the Primid Tyrant known as Bahamut. I merged his soul with his so I can obtain a plethora of powerful abilities. There is truly no why you can defeat me.”
Mewtwo didn’t want to admit defeat, so he desperately tried to use a psychic powered Mega Punch on Nero, but it was a waste of time. Nero grabbed and twisted Mewtwo’s arm and shot a psychic blast into Mewtwo’s stomach causing him to go flying. There was no hope for Mewtwo. It was clear that Nero had won.
Nero:“I win. That means that Darkrai comes with me! (Laughs) Darkrai I want you to put Mewtwo sleep.”
Darkrai conjured up a powerful Dark Void and used on the fallen Mewtwo. Mewtwo was now in a deep slumber.
Nero: “Let’s go. We have a lot to do.”
Nero, Derek, and Darkrai hoped onto the Halberd and prepared to head out to their next destination, but when they were about to take off a huge green dragon appeared from the sky and started to attack the ship.
Nero:“What’s the meaning of this!?! What is that thing, Derek?”
Derek went on the computer searched for data on the beast.
Dr. Stiles: “It appears to be a Rayquaza, a powerful legendary Pokemon that protects this world’s atmosphere. I guess we disturbed it when entered into this world.
Nero: “Just hurry and activate the Worm Hole Device now!”
Dr. Stiles: “I can’t! Rayquaza’s onslaught is preventing the device from working property. The only way we can escape is by steering the ship into space and we should be able to take care of him once we get there.”
Nero nodded his head and Derek started to steer towards space.
Meanwhile, a group of trainers on nearby called Iron Island noticed that something was going on over at Full Moon Island.
Location: Poke Earth – Iron Island
Red: “What is going on over there?”
Dawn: “I don’t know. Isn’t that Full Moon Island? And that’s Rayquaza!”
A trainer that wore a blue hat and tuxedo appeared behind the baffled trainers.
Blue Trainer: “I wonder if someone is trying to harm the Darkrai that lives there. And, Rayquaza doesn't attack something unless it poses a threat.”
Red:“What do you think we should do huh Riley?”
Riley: “Let’s hop on the boat and head over to Full Moon Island ASAP!”
So the trainers hopped on the boat and headed start for Full Moon Island. What will happen there? What will they find? What will happen to Rayquaza?
