Chapter 14: Plan
Nero was dazed and confused. An image of himself was telling him to kill Gray Fox one second and the next minute he shooting out psychic blasts out from his hands.
Nero: I am seeing things. Whoa my head is turning, these voices in my head… I’m going to call Derek he might be able to help me. Nero rushed to the phone and started to call Derek. One hour later, Derek arrived at Nero’s house and noticed him on the living room floor looking all crazy. Derek: What the hell happened here? You must been really hammered.* he picks up Nero and puts him on the couch* Hey you said something about voices and what not. What did they tell you?
Nero: Ouch, my head. Oh yea the voices. They told me to kill Gray Fox and save Kuja. The crazy thing is I want to do it. Maybe not the killing part but save Kuja.
Derek glared at Nero. Derek: I see. Didn’t you mention something about psychic powers or something like that while I was on the phone with you?
Nero: Yea I did. It’s crazy, when the voices keep bothering me I got really aggravated and a shot weird blast from my hand that I created with my mind. Do you now what’s going? Derek nodded his head. Derek: It sounds like you have psychic powers and yes I know it sounds crazy but its not unusual. I have powers too. Nero looked at Derek as if he was crazy, he didn’t know if Derek was messing with him or if he was really serious. Nero: Wow!! So you are telling me I’m psychic!! Great, so what am I suppose to do with these powers? Derek took out his laptop and started to show Nero confidential government files. Derek: You can use them to save Kuja and take this hi-tech stuff from the government. Here take a look at this. * Derek showed Nero the files* You see they suppose to have this creature from another world and they are using him to make weapons. Nero was confused and didn’t understand the whole situation.
Nero: Where did you get all these files from? And more importantly, what does this have to do with Kuja? Derek laughed. Derek: Don’t you see!?!?! This creature and weapon is being held at the lab we work at and were Kuja is. They are connected. We can use these things to change the world! Hey you use to always talk about how you wish the world should change. Come on this our chance! Nero: Yea, but everyone wishes the world could change. Derek: Of course but we have been gifted with power! We should use our abilities to actually change this pathetic excuse for a world. Come on Nero, we can do this. Nero had a look of defeat on his face and gave in to Derek’s crazy plan. Nero: Fine, but I don’t even know how to use my powers. Derek: Well we can get started then. Let’s go in the front yard. It’s late so no one will notice you.
Derek and Nero headed outside and they started to train. Derek: Ok, close you eyes and concentrate. Gather all your thoughts and energy and focus it towards your arms. Nero followed Derek’s directions and started to gather all his energy towards his arms. All of sudden his arms start to glow and the space around Nero started to glow as well. Derek:Quick!! Try to think of an object or something to shape the energy around you!!! Nero’s arms where glowing and Nero shaped the glowing energy into two floating hands. Nero: Awesome I did it! It was pretty easy too. Who these hands look pretty cool. Derek was shocked as stared at the two floating hands. There was a left hand and a right hand. The left hand seemed a bit chaotic for his fingers were always wiggling in a psychotic manner; however the right hand was calm and presented itself in a high-class way. Derek: Ah, I see now. The left hand must represent the chaotic side of you Nero while the right hand is the psychical embodiment of your good side. So, can you control them? Nero started to wave his arms and the hands mimicked his movements. Nero: I guess the hands are in synched with my movements but if I put my head into it I can control individuality.
Derek was surprised that Nero can handle his powers so will. Derek: I think we should head to lab now. There will be security but you can leave them to me. So, are you ready? Nero nodded his head and they got ready to head out to the lab. But awaits them at the lab?? Who or what is this creature?
