Chapter 10 ~~~ The Search Begins

"No," Marth whispered at the sight of Mewtwo lying unconsious in front of the portal to Subspace. Although it had just turned to night, he could clearly see.
"What happened?" Toon Link wondered aloud as Marth rushed towards Mewtwo.
"Don't know, but whatever happened it was bad," Marth replied. "Yoshi, you try to wake up Mewtwo; Toon, guard the portal, people might get through; I'm going to get the others." Marth then ran down the steps back to the ship, while Toon Link went to the portal and stood ready for attack, and Yoshi lifted Mewtwo's head and inspected him.
Marth recounted the events of the past day. god, its only been a day? Marth had stepped out of the portal after defeating Tabuu for a second time, ready for adventure. He set out planning to help on another adventure...but not this soon. And aside from those there, only Pit and Lucario knew Tabuu would one day return, but he didn't know what had happened to them, or any of the other heroes since the final battle. He hoped they were ok. By this time he was off the stairs and saw the nearly docked ship.

Tails led Pikachu, Pichu and Jigglypuff in tieing down the ship. He was the new kid on the block as far as these adventures went, but thought he was ready to be a main hero anytime. This was happening too fast though, and he was struggling to keep up. As they finished up securing Toon Link's ship, he saw Marth on the beach.
"He's here, come quickly," Marth called out, and although out of breath, he ran back the way he came. The 4 followed him.

Back on top of the platform, Toon Link and Yoshi were doing their jobs. Toon Link peeked into the hole into subspace, but only saw blue-purple clouds around; no enemies. Still, he held his sword ready for anything.
Yoshi was done inspcting Mewtwo; he was still alive, but seemed to be very close to death. Mewtwo was strong though, and somehow Yoshi doubted this would be the end of Mewtwo. "You'll be fine," he whispered, assuming that Mewtwo would not hear him. But Mewtwo stirred, and spoke softly.
"Get...the others...we need...all...again..." Mewtwos head fell again, and he rested.
"Did you hear that?" Yoshi asked.
"No, what'd happened?" Toon Link asked.
"He said we need to get all the others," Yoshi replied.
"Just as I figured," Marth said, as he ascended the platform, hearing Yoshi's words. "We should talk, and let him rest." Marth turned to see the other 4 creatures come up.
"We need to have a meeting."
Pikachu and Pichu took over for Toon Link as guard during the discussion. Yoshi stayed by Mewtwo, still resting, and probably unconsious.
"Looks like Tabuu will be coming back, no matter how we want it to be." Jigglypuff, Tails, and Toon Link sat and listened to Marth's speech. Marth was pacing back and forth, going over the happenings in his head.
"Pit must already know about this, if he is looking through the glass. Hopefully he'll have found some people," Marth went on. "I remember where the others were, but I should write them down before I forget. Do you have any paper on your ship?"
"Yeah, let me get it," and Toon Link went back to the ship.
"We'll need to go out and look for them," Marth went on. "But two people have to stay here and keep watch over Mewtwo and the portal."
"I think I should go," Pikachu said. "I know a lot about the different worlds, I've been exploring a lot."
"Can I go too?" Pichu asked.
"And me?" Jigglypuff added.
"Alright," Marth replied. "You three, and Toon Link, since he has the ship. Yoshi, you should be able to take care of Mewtwo well, right?"
"Yes, I think so," Yoshi replied.
"Then you can stay. What about you Tails?"
"I have a friend on a nearby island, I can see if he wants to help."
"Thats good, where is it?"
"The last one we sailed past. I can fly there on my own."
"Alright, then do you want to get on that asap?"
"Ok!" he rpelied, and with that, Tails left.
"I'm back," Toon Link called, carrying paper.
"Perfect," Marth replied, and wrote down the last known locations of everyone else. "And remember, if we need everyone, it'll be the enemies too. Bowser has Mr. Game and Watch, so we need to save him quickly. Can you sail with the pokemon back to look for the others and bring them back?"
"Sure, when should we leave?" Toon Link asked.
"Can you leave now?"
"Sure."
"Then get on it. I'll stay here and protect the portal. Tails went to..."
"I can't fly till morning," Tails said, coming back up the steps. Too dark."
"Alright, stay here then," Marth said. "Good luck guys." Toon Link left with the pokemon to get to the ship, and Marth was guarding the portal. Tails waved to them as they sailed away.

"Who knew?" Marth asked, laying on his back.
"What?" Tails asked, also laying on his back. Yoshi was now guarding the portal, but nothing had come near it, nobody had seen anything on the other side. Mewtwo was still laying unconsious, but he seemed to be doing better, according to Yoshi. The fruits on the island were very healty, tasted good, and apparently were special to the island. Yoshi suspected they had psychic properties, and so got them for the 4 characters staying there. He made a mush of one fruit to give to Mewtwo, who had awoken and ate some, then went back to rest. He was too tired to do anything, but now they were sure he would recover, it would just be a matter of time.
"That we would be on this journey. That I would be talking to an anmial with two tails and one who can eat a person and turn him into an egg, when I was trying to help take care of a DNA cloned creature with psychic abilities, and defeat a powerful humanoid creature from another world," Marth replied. He looked up at the full moon in the clear sky. He guessed it was almost 3 A.M., and he would have to go protect the portal soon.
"Oh, that," Tails replied. "Well you never know whats gonna happen. I always figured I would just grow up to be a mechanic, not a sidekck."
"What do you mean sidekick?" Marth asked, proping himself up on one elbow.
"Sonic is always the hero, I'm the faithful sidekick, thats how its always been, always will be," Tail replied simply, not getting up. Marth got up to take over Yoshi's post.
"You will be a hero soon too, everyone here has been important in their own ways, you will become a hero, don't you worry," Marth replied.
"But it's scary, always having to face the evil. I don't know, I just don't have the spirit of a hero, the first reaction I have in danger is to turn to Sonic to ask what to do. It's hard to do anything on my own," Tails replied.
"You'll get used to it," Yoshi consoled him.
"I guess," Tails replied.

Toon Link sailed his ship, with the help of the pokemon, towards Port Azulmar.
"Do you think Pit is helping us right now?" Pichu asked.
"Yeah, probably more then we know," Jigglypuff replied. "He always finds out about everything first."
"Will there be anyone else new who he told?" Pichu asked. No one knew what to answer. After a pause, Toon Link spoke up.
"Hopefully not, the more people who know, the less chance of the prophecy coming true," Toon Link replied.
"But it never said we'd lose," Pichu replied. "It only said he would come back. Maybe more people knowing would mean he might not come back." The others thought about this valid idea, and were silenced.

At the break of dawn on the island, Marth took over the portal posistion, and Yoshi walked Tails down to the shore.
"You ready?" Yoshi asked.
"Yeah. This is something I know I can do," Tails replied.
"What's your friend's name?" Yoshi asked.
"Knuckles," Tails replied.
"And thanks for helping out," Yoshi said.
"Don't worry about it," Tails replied with a small smile which faded to a small frown quickly. And with that, Tails was off. Yoshi waved good-bye to him. It would be a while before they met again.

Captain Falcon and Samus led Red and Green into Samus' hanger in the Space District. Her ship had just crashed, and even though she planned on getting another one made, her suit fell apart. She kept a couple spares in her hanger, so they decided to stop there first.
"Alright, give me a minute to put it on," Samus called out; she had gone into a small changing room/bedroom.
"I might as well get the car and bring it here," Falcon said. "You two wanna come with me?"
"nah, I'll stay here," Red said, looking towards the changing room.
"No," Green replied forcefully. "We'll both go."
"We shouldn't leave Samus alone though," Red replied, just as angry. "So I'...
"I'll stay then," Green replied, still angry.
"Alright then, let's go Red," Captain Falcon replied, completely oblivious to the underlying meaning of that argument.
Falcon led the way to his hanger, some ways away, and began to talk about his car.
"I just had the engine replaced, now it's a..."
"I don't care," Red said rudely. Falcon looked somewhat shocked.
"You don't?"
"No. No one cares about your stupid car or your stupid trophies."
"Oh." They continued on in silence.
Red whispered to himself, "What the h*ll does Samus see in him? And why isn't Green being supportive like usual?"
Back at Samus' hanger, she was done getting dressed and walked back into the main room to see Green sitting down on a couch, arms crossed, glaing at her.
"Where'd they go?" Samus asked, in a monotone voice.
"To get the car, they're going to bring it here to pick us up," Green said, with only the slightest bit of annoyance in her voice.
"And they both went?"
"Yep."
"So I guess we wait."
"Yep."
"...Nice weather we're having," Samus said, not trying to be polite, but had nothing else to say.
"Just who do you think you are?"
"What do you mean?"
"I've been friends with him forever."
"Oh. So it's coming to that," Samus replied, getting up. "We've been through a lot together in the last few weeks and..."
"Last few weeks?!? Didn't you hear me say I've known him my whole life?!?"
"Maybe he's not satisfied with you."
"What do you mean not satisfied?"
"You've been friends forever, thats it. That doesn't make you two automatically a couple."
"No but he barely knows you."
"Does he know you're a thief?"
"What?"
"I know you stole the Clefairy doll."
"...no," Green got quiet. "I don't know, when I see something I like, and I get the impule to take it...I just do. And I'm good at it."
"And he wouldn't like you if he knew this?"
"Well i don't...of course he would he's my best friend! He's my only friend!" Samus was about to respond when:
They then heard a horn sound. "We're here!" Falcon called from outside. The two girls walked out, glaring at each other until they got into the car. Red looked between the two in girls. He went to go sit by Samus, but Green put her hand on his shoulder. Red breathed out, and felt wierd. Like, first he was tense but then suddenly comfortable, but also different. Things had changed.
"Sit here," Green ordered. Red did, but looked to Samus as if to say Sorry I really wanna sit by you.
"Where are we going?" asked the always oblivious Captain Falcon.
"Towards the sea, thats where a couple people were going to be," Samus replied.

Pikachu jumped off the boat even before it gently hit the dock. They had worked out this plan before getting near here, and Jigglypuff and Pichu were jumping off the boat too now that it was closer. Jigglypuff and Pichu would tie it down, and Toon Link would drop the anchor. Pikachu would pay the man to hold the ship for them; Pikachu knew him very well, and was the fastest. They decided they have no time to lose, and were going to to the people who were closest, the Ice Climbers in the Mountain District.
Pikachu paid the man and was about to run back when he saw a ship begin to land.
"Pikachu!" Samus called out as it did. Pikachu didn't know how people did it, but somehow they could tell him apart from all the other Pikachus in the world.
"Let me get the others!" He called back, and ran to get Toon Link, Jigglypuff and Pichu.
"So somebody attacked you too?" Pikachu asked. They had told their stories to each other.
"Yeah, but we don't know who," Captain Falcon replied. "You said you have a list of where everyone is, right?"
"Any guesses?" Toon Link asked.
"No, no idea," Samus replied.
"So you have a list of where everyone is, right?" Captain Falcon repeated slightly annoyed.
"And neither of you saw anything?" Pichu asked.
"No," Red and Green shook their heads.
Captain Falcon spoke louder, "You said you have a list of where everyone is, correct?!?"
"Yes, why?" Toon Link asked.
"We can talk on the way to getting everone we'll take my ship," he replied, "Come on."
He led the way to the ship. Toon Link shrugged at Samus.
"Didn't know he was this serious," he said.
"Neither did I," Samus said, and they all boarded the Blue Falcon, and were going to head off to the West.
"Give me the places," Falcon deadpaned. Toon Link read them off, and he put them into his computer.
"Alright, looks like it's found some people, and they're in trouble. We go to Peach's Castle first."
And off they flew.

Marth saw Yoshi walk back up the steps and go to Mewtwo. He hoped everything would work out alright, but the way things were, he just didn't know. The enemies were acting wierdly from meeting Bowser Jr., and while at Angelic Isle he heard that Bowser's whole army was moving, with a new weapon. He would assume it was just the normal, except he sent a quarter of the army to go and get Mr. Game and Watch.
"Stay here," He told Yoshi, and then, Marth steped through the portal into subspace.

Tabuu's War Ch 11 ~~~ Traps

"So what do you know about him?"
"He's the classic heartless king of evil," Ike replied. Dante was asking him about Ganondorf and his minions who were about to attack.
Roy was preparing the castle to hold up to a seige, and Fox, Sonic, and Luigi were scrounging up any weapons they could find. Roy had sent all the other soldiers home, confident they could defend with just themselves. Ike was currently working out, and Dante had been going around to inquire about Ganondorf.
"And you say that they spider was part of his army?"
"Yes." Ike replied shortly, starting to get annoyed.
"Have any of those creatures showed any connection to Tabuu?
"Look, can you do something to help?" Ike asked.
"Alright, looks like you don't know anymore, so I better go ask someone else." Dante left Ike still training, and went downstairs to find the others.
On the staircase, he met Roy.
"Hey, I was looking for you, wanna help outside? And have you seen Sonic?"
"Haven't seen him, but look, what do you know...?" Dante began.
"If it's about Ganon, I'm not the one to ask. That would be either Link or Zelda." They continued down the stairs to the outside of the castle.

"Sonic! Sonic! Roy's looking for you!" Luigi called off into the air, hoping Sonic would hear. He and Fox were carrying lances down to the castle grounds. "You haven't said a word since you got here Fox."
"Oh, I haven't?"
"Nah, not really," Sonic said, rushing up to them. He held a Big mac in one hand and a soda in the other.
"Where were you?!? How could you get food when they're going to attack?" Luigi admonished. Meanwhile Fox continued walking with his head down.
"Yeah, so? Since when are you so uptight?" Sonic asked, taking a bite out of the burger.
"This is my chance to fight. Redeem myself," Luigi replied.
"For what?" Sonic asked.
"Guys!" Roy called to them as he saw them approach. "Great. Now, Sonic, run some laps around the castle, pretty wide, to dig a trench in the ground."
"OK!" Sonic said, and began running. Every once in a while they saw a blur go by, slowly getting lower.
"Once he's done, place these lances in the ditch, spear part up, and then we'll cover this ground with hay.
"Brilliant," Dante whispered, nodding.
"But we should cover this whole area with it, otherwise it will be obvious. We'll have better chances fighting inside the castle, where theres less room for them to get to all of us. Luigi, do you want to help me out inside? We need to get Ike and start setting up traps in there." Luigi nodded and they left.
Fox walked over to the spears slowly and sadly and started to pick some up.
"Are you alright?" Dante asked, going to get some himself.
"Yeah," Fox sighed.
"So then why are you acting like this?" Dante asked.
"No reason."
"I hear though you used to act a lot differently?"
"Well, yeah, but I was stupid back then."
"Two days ago?"
"Do you know what it's like to lose the thing you value most?"
"Yes."
"Oh." Short pause.
"Look, Fox. You need to be able to come out of this and learn something from it, but not back into a corner and let it eat at you. You seem to have learned a lesson, but you need to be able to use that knowledge to act reasonably."
"But what if I can't?"
"You used to be the most confident smasher here. You're still the same person, you just need to get some confidence back. We're video game characters; no one dies unless it needs to happen, and the time for that has not come, I know it. The other two are fine, I'm sure. Once we're done here, we will be able to go and find them, don't worry about that. But for now, we need to protect ourselves."
"..."
"what would they want you to do? What would sh...?"
"I'm done!" announced Sonic, stopping.
"Thanks," Fox replied, slightly happier.
"Here, start laying this grass out." Dante ordered. He and Fox began to put in the lances, while Sonic did his job.

Roy began walking up the stairs, followed by Luigi. They entered a long hallway, with large suits of armor stood up along the walls on either side. Tapestries were everywhere, which were orange with Roy's symbol. There were windows close to the high ceiling, those stained glass windows let light filter in.
"Alright, now for the inside. We might have to use ourselves as bait a couple times, but, it should be fairly easy as long as everything goes according to plan..." Roy began.
"Why don't we just, uhh, fight them?" Luigi asked, slightly hesitantly.
"What?" Roy replied.
"I mean, we should be able to handle the minions, and..."
"No, there are too many of them. It'll be easier with traps."
"I'm-a just saying..."
"What are you Mario?"
Luigi looked kinda angry. "No." He replied, mad and sternly.
"Alright, so listen. Start tying this string to the pins of the dynamite over there, and place the dynamite behind each suit of armour."
"It's armor."
"But I like it with a u." The two began to do that, and ran a trip wire across one end of the hallway.
When they finished, Roy turned to Luigi and told him. "Go find Ike and ask him to help, they might be attacking soon. I'll go towards the game rooms to set up more traps." And so Roy left to set up another trap or two, and Luigi said goodbye to him for the last time before the attack. Luigi then headed upstairs to the training room.

Dante, Fox, and Sonic were finishing up their job back down in front of the castle, when Fox's ears perked up.
"Did everyone else just hear something? Like thumping?" Fox asked.
"No," Dante replied shortly. "Sonic. You can get to Mewtwo fast, right? Go and warn him. It would probably be better if someone else knew, and it might help him solve this whole mystery."
"K, I'm on it," Sonic replied, and he ran off into the distance towards the islands, hoping he would find the right one.
"You think that was a good idea? Only 5 of us might not be able to hold them off," Fox asked Dante.
"The needs of the individual are subject to the needs of the whole. It's more important that Mewtwo knows, even if it is at a cost to us, because he can help overall the most."
"That might be easy for you to say, you've never been captured before..." Fox replied.

Ike was leaving the training room when he met Luigi, coming into it.
"Roy needs you," Luigi said. But then he seemed to stare out into the distance out of the window. Ike turned to look too, and he saw Ganondorf's army beginning to approach.
"Let's get on the roof," Ike said. "We'll get a better view from there."

The two headed onto the roof, which looked very much like the one from Castle Seige. Luigi came up behind Ike, who was already looking around the perimeter.
"They have us surrounded. But it seems to be weaker from the West; Ganondorf himself is coming from the East. Soren would want us to take out the East troops and rendezvous somewhere else..."
"We attack Ganondorf," Luigi said sternly, determined. Ike had never seen him this intent. "It's what Mario would do. He would be able to take them."
"...I'd wanna attack them, but..." Ike began.
"Are you with me or not?" Luigi asked, and with that, he jumped over the balcony and onto the slanted roof.
"Alright, let's go!" Ike replied, and followed him.
When the castle was designed, Roy made it so the curvature of the roof would make for an easy escape, and so Luigi and Ike slid down the curves and landed safely and gently on the ground. Neither saw Dante Sonic or Fox as they ran towards Ganondorf.

Dante and Fox began to see the enemies closing in on them; led by Ganondorf. He walked assuridly, knowing that he would be successful in this attack. With his impressive army circled around the castle and in such large numbers, there was no way for him to let the characters get away on any land path there.
Dante stared back at the new foe, sizing him up. Greedy, intolerant, and powerful, Dante knew this type of enemy. Roy's traps would surely work, but Ganondorf would have already been used to such attempts and would surely adapt quickly.
"We have to go in and find Roy, warn him," Dante stated, and with a swish of his cloak, turned to go inside.
"But, what about Sonic? Shouldn't we do something for him?" Fox asked.
"No. There is nothing that can be done, like in your case with your friend. Sonic will be safe from Ganondorf; I wouldn't be worrying about him if I were you." Dante then began to walk inside.
"I did have a choice..." Fox muttered, but followed.

Roy knocked over the pool tables and collected the balls in a bag. He was tipping over the tables, and creating a maze like pattern that only those who were agile and surefooted could get through. With a nearby lance he poked a hole in one of the sides of a pool table, and stuck in a cue. He continued to do this, making obstacles along the root, and therefore hoping to prevent any spiders or any like creatures from getting through. He continued through the green decorated room, heading over to one end with a bookcase right across from the doorway. He pulled out books in an order, and once he did, a wall panel flipped next to the bookcase, revealing a set of levers.
"Good thing I put in all the works," Roy said to himself, pulling down levers. This caused the poles on which banners around the room were held to move. With the maze set up as it was, the curtains were right on top of the tables, making the hard route clearly visible. He then pulled a final lever, dropping metal weights behind every curtain; this way no one would be able to cut through the maze. Finally, he put up a final wooden, rectangular table on top of the table that separated the bookcase from the door. The final table had a hole, one foot in diameter, big enough to attack through, but not to crawl through.
Roy then pulled out a final book, after replacing the others, and the bookcase moved, revealing a passageway. He followed it, making sure to avoid the hole on one side of it. He continued through the dark stone passageway, lighting his sword with fire for minimal light. Once he got to the end he pushed a stone, and the wall swung open, revealing it to lead to the previously mentioned armour room. It was then Roy heard the shouts, and began to run to the entrace of the castle. In the atrium, as he was about to draw his sword he saw Dante briskly enter, Fox trotting behind.
"What's going on guys?" Roy asked.
"They're coming," Dante replied shortly. "Do you have all your traps in place?"
"Could've had more, but we can make do. Where's Sonic?" Roy wondered, not seeing the blue hedgehog.
"Gone to warn Mewtwo, let's go fight," Dante replied, turning to leave.
"But why didn't he stay, we need him!" Roy excalimed.
"Thats what I said," Fox told him.
"Things will happen they way they will, it will not have mattered," Dante said, leaving Fox with Roy. They looked at each other, and then ran out to help with the fight.

Ike and Luigi were charging straight towards Ganondorf, eager to get his fight overwith. Some of the charging creatures began to circle the heroes, but both were able to clear them away quickly. As they ran, Luigi sent off fireballs in all directions, slowly getting closer to the evil king. But then, the flying skull enemies began to close in on him. Although he tried to be courageous, Luigi was terrified on the inside and began to tremble. They were going to ram into him, when a golden sword cut through the enemies. Ike landed in front of Luigi, in his classic style.
Luigi heard a shot, and when Ike got up and turned around, the whites of his eyes were black.
"No..." Luigi said.
"Yes." replied Ganondorf. "Finally, some respect. Now that I have a worthy ally forced to fight for me, I cannot lose! For this is even better because of WHO I have now recruited. For it is Ike, Greil Mercenary, so stong he is able to wield a two handed sword in one. With this new ally, who does specialize in power, like a weaker version of me, *Ike glares at Ganondorf, still captured though* I will be able to, one by one, take the rest of the prophesized heroes, and rule them all. I will start with the ones that have already realized their destiny, and then..."
"Hey-a. Thats a long speech for a villian," Luigi said, growing impatient.
"<sigh> Really? Because I always give these long, uber speechs, and Link never complains. I mean, if an enemy doesn't have a chance to get out their threat, or give a speech of how the hero cannot win, how popular do you expect us to get? Because otherwise..."
"You're doing it again," Luigi replied, irritably.
"Will you stop interrupting me? You're just like Mario."
"..." Luigi grew furious. "I...AM...NOT...MARIOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" as he said the last word Luigi jumped, ready to punch Ganon. But he never made contact.
"Foolheadery courage," Ganondorf muttered, shooting Luigi with a black energy arrow.
"Now, for the other three," Ganondorf said, Ike at his right hand, Luigi standing behind him.

"Did they go out to attack?" Fox asked, trying to catch up with the other two. Dante and Roy stepped out into the light, each looking a different way; Dante to the right, Roy to the left.
"There they are," Dante said, pointing. Ganondorf Ike and Luigi were walking closer to the castle.
"He got them already?" Fox asked aloud.
"We better go in," Roy said, turning to go into the castle. Fox followed, but Dante stayed.
"Fasinating," Dante muttered, standing there. He was looking at the other character's eyes, with the white of them filled in with black. "Eyes are usually the most tell-tale part of a person, shows the most about their personality. You can tell...pretty much anything from them. But to have that corrupted, to take away that...altough the eyes aren't everything, they are important. And now, the true person ruling their bodies is reflected in that..."
"Dante, we have to run," said Roy. Dante suddenly realized that Ganondorf was getting closer, and that Roy had been trying to get him to go in for some time now.
"Then let's go," Dante said, and he led the way inside, followed closely by Roy.

Fox was waiting for them just inside the entrace hall.
"They coming?" he asked nervously.
"Yes, and now we should shoot," Dante said, taking out his guns.
"No, thats what the traps are for," Roy replied.
"Actually, this may be the best advice he's given us so far, let's do it," Fox replied. But a banging on the door signaled them all to move.
After sharing a quick glance, Dante led the way down the hall which held the armor (or armour) with the other two heroes right behind him. Ganondorf, as the three had heard, had just knocked down the door, and was following them into the hallway. Dante was halfway through when Ganondorf turned the corner and saw the three heroes for the first time. He raised a large arm and pointed in the direction of the heroes, and his army rushed after them, and began to flood the hallway.
Dante made it safely to the other side and waited for the other two, shooting the oncoming enemies. Roy jumped over the trip wire and ran up to Dante.
"Did you tell him about the trip wire?" Roy asked. They both looked back to see that Fox had just tripped it and everything in the hallway was about to be covered by the falling armour.
"FOX!" Roy called out, and began to run towards the creature, fallen on the ground, but was pulled away by a forceful grip.
"We have to keep moving," Dante said, and despite Roy trying to break free, they made it into another room, and Fox was buried under the clanging armor, with Ganondorf's spider army crawling over the wreckage to find the heroes.

Fox tried to get out of the wreckage, but was unable to move anything. He heard thousands of footsteps above him as the army trampled past, until finally the noise faded. Fox struggled to get up once more, but still couldn't. He heard more clanging of metal, and then someone or someones began to unbury him. Once his face was free he frowned, saddened.
"Be safe K..." Fox was then shot with the black arrow by Luigi and Ike.

"What did you do that for?!?" Roy asked Dante, as Dante dragged him to the game room that Roy had set up as a trap.
"It is what needed to happen," Dante replied.
"Who are you to say what happens? You just let a hero get captured."
"He was going to be lost anyway, there was nothing we could do for him!"
"There is always hope!"
Both heard a bang on the door. By this time the two heroes were by the bookcase with the secret passage (open), and Dante was ready to shoot through the hole Roy had set up earlier. They could hold out here for some time, but they would need to use the passage if all of the army came in here.
"But..."
"Shh...If we talk anymore we might not make it," Dante replied, steading his aim.
"Why does it matter if we talk?" Roy asked. Dante shook his head and lowered his gun for a second, and in that time the door burst open, and the enemies came in.
Dante began to shoot at the creatures, and once they got nearer Roy attacked with his sword. Their strategy worked well for the lesser enemies, but then came a blast of purple-ish black energy. Ganondorf was there. As he shot more magic energy everywhere, debris flew, and one attacksent the two flying away. Dante was sent flying into the secret passage, and Roy slammed into the lever, pushing it down and breaking it. The door closed with Dante in the passageway, and Roy stuck outside.
Roy frantically looked around and saw he was surrounded, with no way out. He knelt down on one knee, put his sword down, and said
"You win. Please, mercy."
Ganon then shot him with the black arrow.

"DA**" Dante yelled, as he tried to push the bookcase open. But he had to face it. He could not get back to Roy. He turned and ran down the hallway, sure it would lead to somewhere else. But when he reached the other entrance, he could not push it open, for it was being blocked by the fallen armour.
Dante began to walk down the dark passageway once more, and this time nearly fell into a hole. He inspected the ledge with his hands and deduced that the ladder led to a way out of the castle, and so he began his decent into darkness.
"Let's go."

Bowser Jr. put the 2-D glasses in a special compartment of the clown car and looked around to the other dark koopas with him. it had been a day since the events with the other characters.
"Game and Watch is gonna make daddy happy, and now we're in the clear! Back home to daddy!" Jr. yelled, and he began to steer the car toward's Peach's castle. But as they flew, they passed an island, with some people on it...

"So, anyone know what was up with that flash?" Knuckles asked, none of the others knew anything.
"So when do we get off this island?" Falco asked, moving towards the boat.
"Wait Falco, we have more pressing matters to discuss here," Lucario said, taking charge. "Tabuu is back, and the red flash must not be good."
"So why didn't you say anything a minute ago?" Falco asked. Lucario ignored the question.
"We need to get to Mewtwo and warn him about this," Lucario said. "We only have one boat."
"I can swim," DK replied.
"Good, but that still leaves 6 of us," continued Lucario.
"6?" Falco asked.
"The Climbers are two people," DK replied.
"So I suggest that the younger children and I start towards where Mewtwo is, and I'll come back for the rest," Lucario finished. There was a general uproar.
"Why you three...i mean four?!?" Falco asked.
"The kids should get off the island as fast as possible. And I can use my Aura sphere to give off light. Then once we know where we're going, I'll..."
"You don't know where the island is?" Falco asked, enraged.
"No, we don't, so if you'll let us leave..." Lucario continued.
"This is getting us nowhere," Knuckles complained.
"Well, until we agree on something no one is leaving," DK said, sitting by the boat.
"Fine," Falco said, sitting down.
"Fine," Lucario said too.
"What just happened?" Knuckles asked.
"I don't know," Lucas replied. "But it looks like we should make camp."
So camp was set up for the night, DK still guarding the boat, and Falco and Lucario had not talked since the argument. It was around midnight and everyone was sleeping. Well, was supposed to be.

An animal gets up quietly and goes towards the boat.
"Where are you going?" DK asked Lucario, opening his eyes.
"I...uhh..." Lucario replied.
"Go back to bed," DK said. Lucario went back to sleep.

"Where are you going?" DK asked.
"Well...I...," Falco sputtered.
"Go back to bed," DK said. Lucario went back to sleep.

"Yes?" DK asked.
"What? I was just gonna go for a quick boat trip," Knuckles replied.
"Why do you want to get off?"
"To make sure the Emerald is fine."
"Don't worry, did you leave someone to protect it?"
"Yes?"
"Then it will be fine. So please go back to bed."

"Who is it this time?" DK asked, hearing the sound of wood moving.
"Me," said Popo, stopping what he was doing for a secong, then picking up an oar again.
"Why do you want to leave?"
"Somebody's gotta do something."
"Why don't you leave it to the adults?"
"Because they can't seem to do anything right." Popo threw down the oar.
"That isn't all is it?"
"...no. I'm losing control of everything. She's going off with him now, and there's nothing I can do about it. I mean, most people see me as the bad guy but all I've done was for her, to protect her."
DK sighed. "I don't know what to say little buddy. It's hard losing someone. But maybe it's right. Maybe it's what needs to happen. Did you even really like her?"
"Of course!"
"Life a good friend or a sister?"
"...I don't know..."

Lucas got up and went over to where Nana was sleeping. He shook her gently to wake her.
"L...Lucas? What's up?"
"Can I talk to you?"
"Sure."
"Follow me."
Lucas led Nana out a little bit into the jungle where they found a fallen log and sat down next to each other.
"I've been thinking...well, since it's getting to be the end of the world and everything..."
"We don't know that," Nana replied.
"Well, anyways, just in case anything happens, I want you to know that...that..."
"yes?" Nana asked expectantly.
"Just, I'll make sure nothing happens to you because...because..."
"What are you two doing out here?" Popo asked, walking in on them. "C'mon Nana you need to get some sleep." Popo pulled her away and dragged her back to the beach. Sh elooked back helplessly at Lucas, who, when they had gone, leaned back to look up at the sky, thinking, why me? Then he fell backwards off of it.

It was just past sunrise, and everyone was just beginning to get up. No one else had made an attempt to get on the boat, and everything seemed to be going peacefully as they had fruits for breakfast. Still, no one talked to each other. During the middle of breakfast they heard what seemed to be a helicopter nearing them.
"Hey...maybe they can help us!" Lucas cried, and the others followed him as he began waving his arms and yelling. But when what they heard came into sight, all but one stared at it, confused.
"Remember my friend I told you about...he's here," Knuckles said, mostly to Falco.
Tails landed on the island, surprised to see so many people. "Do any of you guys know Mewtwo?"
"Kinda..." Nana replied knowingly.
"So you guys all came here to go find Mewtwo? I can lead you there. But he's not in the best shape," Tails said, after hearing everyone's story. "And some others got there first, and they went out to get more help."
"Thats good," Lucario said. "So why don't you fly us to the island, we can follow along in the boat."
"What?!?" Falco said incredulously. "He has to help me repair my Arwing!"
"And the Emerald!" Knuckles added in.
"Look, can I eat first? I haven't had any breakfast yet?" Tails asked, rubbing his stomach. "And Knuckles, everything is fine, I talked to your replacement yesterday."
"Sure," replied DK. "Lucario, Falco, you guys want to talk?"
"Ok," Lucario consented.
"Whatever," Falco replied.
"Me too. If you're talking about my friend I want to know," Kuckles said.
"And I wanna hear," Lucas said.
"Me too," Popo said, when he heard Lucas join.

"So what did you want to talk about?" Falco asked, with an edge in his voice.
"It looks like we all can work it out now. Tails knows where Mewtwo is. Lucario, Lucas, Popo, and Nana can travel by boat in the direction he points us in, I'll swim behind them. Tails can help you fix your Arwing, Falco, which can take you and Knuckles to where you need to go."
"I'll go help with you guys I guess," Knuckles replied.
"And I'll help once I find Wolf and beat him," Falco added.
"Good. Then we agree," DK finalized.

Nana went over to Tails while he was eating.
"So what were you doing here?" Tails asked Nana, seeing she was somewhat upset.
"Well, me and my friend were kinda hoping to find our parents, but mostly we wanna help save the world," Nana replied.
"Cool, it's good to have ambitions," he replied. "You know a tradition I used to have at home? When I knew something would be difficult for me, I would write a message, put it in a bottle, and throw it out to sea."
"How come?"
"It just helps me understand I am scared. But you never know what's going to happen. So it's just partly up to fate." Tails got her a bottle, paper and a pencil, and so she wrote both things on it, capped the bottle, threw it out to sea, and watched it drift off.

But this peacefulness was disrupted by...
"Do I smell smoke?" Lucas asked, and they all turned to see trees burning.
"My daddy's gonna be real happy now!" cried Bowser Jr. to them all. His army dropped down from the Clown Car into the jungle. None were at the beach with them yet.
"Everyone ready to fight?" Lucas asked. Popo took out his mallet and Lucas prepared to attack with a PSI attack, but Lucario stopped him.
"It is more important we get to Mewtwo. You two go over to Tails and have him tell you which way it is. You two and Nana can get a head start. We'll take care of them here." Both looked like they wanted to argue, but at DK's nod began to run towards Nana and Tails.

"Guys, what was that?" Nana asked as Popo and Lucas as they ran to meet her.
"A bad guy. Lucario said we need to leave," Popo replied.
"Me too?" Tails asked.
"He didn't say anything but for you to tell us the right direction. They think it'll be quick," Lucas replied.
"Alright, it's that way," Tails pointed. I'm gonna go see them. Good luck." And with that Tails ran towards the others. The Climbers and Lucas ran towards the boat and got ready.

"What's going on?" Tails asked as he neared the main group.
"We're being attacked, can you fight?" Lucario asked.
"Not well. Do you think I could work on the Arwing and maybe we can use that to attack?"
"Sure," Lucario said. "Falco is good in that. Knuckles, you want to protect him?" Knuckles nodded.
"Follow me," he told Tails and the two ran into the jungle.
"Ready to attack?" Lucario asked the two remaining.
"Always ready," Falco replied, and the three headed into the jungle towards where the Koopas were being dropped off.

"Wow," Tails said, seeing the wreckage.
"That's what I said," Knuckles replied. Tails got right down to work.
"So how've things been?"
"Alright. Pretty peaceful until a little while ago."
"What do you think of the others?"
"They seem nice."
"Not suspicious?"
"Knuckles...you have to relax and start to trust people more. The good people." There was a few minutes of silence, at the end of which Tails had the Arwing in flyable condition. While it wasn't perfect, it would work for then.
"Why don't you go tell the others, I'll wait here," Tails told Knuckles.
"Alright," Knuckles replied, and left.

Lucario Falco and DK charged into the jungle; ready to fight off the koopas. But they didn't expect there to be so many, DK could easily knock them into their shells, he had done this many times before. Falco was able to shoot at them from long distance, and so was clear of any attack himself. Lucario made off well on his own, being a pokemon he knew how to fight. They were making decent progress, but the dark koopas seemed to be coming from nowhere, as more and more kept coming.
"Hey guys! I'm here to fi...!" Knucles began, running into the clearing, but as he said this he was shot by an orange arrow. Bowser Jr., in his clown car was shooting from above. Knuckles ran over to DK before he knew what was happening, and held the primape down, while Jr. shot at Lucario. Lucario dodged one by diving through a patch on bushes to his left. Jr. shot at Falco, but he reflected it, right towards where Lucario had gone through. Jr. shot DK, and seeing this, Falco ran off to his Arwing.
Meanwhile, something caught Jr.'s eye and so he flew off, while shouting,
"Get him!"

Popo, Nana, and Lucas were rowing away from the island in their boat, when Bowser Jr. landed his clown car on the now empty beach. He saw the 3 rowing away, when they were still within range and took out the dark cannon.
"Guys?" Nana asked, as an orange arrow flew towards the boat. She was on the back, and since Popo was facing away, he didn't see she get shot with the arrow.
"No!" yelled Lucas, and grabbed her with the snake, then threw her.
"What did you do that for?" Popo asked, hitting Lucas.
"She was evil!"
"No she wasn't! You think I don't care about her but I do!" Nana, evil, was pulling herself back onto the boat.
"Hey, I definately care about her! Why are you saying I don't?!?"
"Because you're trying to steal her from me!" But after he said this, Nana grabbed his leg and pulled him inot the water.
"Popo!" Lucas called, right before he was shot.
As they were underwater, Popo turned to see Nana's face, and she was indeed under Bowser Jr.'s influence. He was shocked, especially that she had pulled him under and not Lucas. So he closed his eyes and sort of sighed as she brought him back up to the surface. After he was shot, they began to head back to shore.

Lucario, having jumped thorugh the bushes, was shocked to see someone he recognized. Lucario saw the portal this character was reaching through, offering his hand.
"Come, quickly. We have work to do." Lucario got up and followed Mewtwo through the portal. It dissappeared as an orange arrow shot through where Lucario had been not a moment before.

"Falco, where are you going?" Tails asked, as he saw Falco enter the clearing and get ready to fly the Arwing. Tails got in too, after Falco motioned him to. "Where are the others?"
"They all got captures, I saw it myself. I don't know if the kids got away but they had a decent head start. We're going back to the main land," Falco replied, as he flew towards the main land.
"But what about Mewtwo?" Tails asked.
"We should get others to help too," Falco replied.
"And I guess going back would lead them to Mewtwo and that's bad..." Tails attempted to convince himself.
"There ya go, keep tellin yourself that. I'm always right anyways."

Yoshi sat on the island, alone, holding Mewtwo's head in his lap. Mewtwo had not been very active recently, but he was still breathing. It was then that a visitor came, unexpected, to the island.

Dante climbed down the ladder carefully, and finally reached the bottom. He looked around, and even in the darkness, he could not see anything. Dante held out his hands, being in the dark, to try and find something to hold onto. He saw a blue~ish light coming from a little bit down, and ran towards it, coming to a T intersection. Looking to the right he saw a deku scrub with blue leaves walk through a door, close it and lock it. The deku scrub seemed to have not noticed Dante. But to the left was a portal in midair. Dante decided to walk into it and found himself in subspace.
It was a vast expanse of blue and purple, he could barely see what he was standing on. But he walked on. Finally, he saw a figure in the distance, and began to run towards it, drawing his guns. The figure seemed not to pose a threat, but held a weapon at the ready. As he neared the person, he slowed, and put away his weapons, correctly guessing that the other was not from subspace.
"Who are you?" Marth asked.
"I'm here to save you," Dante replied.

"No," Marth whispered at the sight of Mewtwo lying unconsious in front of the portal to Subspace. Although it had just turned to night, he could clearly see.
"What happened?" Toon Link wondered aloud as Marth rushed towards Mewtwo.
"Don't know, but whatever happened it was bad," Marth replied. "Yoshi, you try to wake up Mewtwo; Toon, guard the portal, people might get through; I'm going to get the others." Marth then ran down the steps back to the ship, while Toon Link went to the portal and stood ready for attack, and Yoshi lifted Mewtwo's head and inspected him.
Marth recounted the events of the past day. god, its only been a day? Marth had stepped out of the portal after defeating Tabuu for a second time, ready for adventure. He set out planning to help on another adventure...but not this soon. And aside from those there, only Pit and Lucario knew Tabuu would one day return, but he didn't know what had happened to them, or any of the other heroes since the final battle. He hoped they were ok. By this time he was off the stairs and saw the nearly docked ship.

Tails led Pikachu, Pichu and Jigglypuff in tieing down the ship. He was the new kid on the block as far as these adventures went, but thought he was ready to be a main hero anytime. This was happening too fast though, and he was struggling to keep up. As they finished up securing Toon Link's ship, he saw Marth on the beach.
"He's here, come quickly," Marth called out, and although out of breath, he ran back the way he came. The 4 followed him.

Back on top of the platform, Toon Link and Yoshi were doing their jobs. Toon Link peeked into the hole into subspace, but only saw blue-purple clouds around; no enemies. Still, he held his sword ready for anything.
Yoshi was done inspcting Mewtwo; he was still alive, but seemed to be very close to death. Mewtwo was strong though, and somehow Yoshi doubted this would be the end of Mewtwo. "You'll be fine," he whispered, assuming that Mewtwo would not hear him. But Mewtwo stirred, and spoke softly.
"Get...the others...we need...all...again..." Mewtwos head fell again, and he rested.
"Did you hear that?" Yoshi asked.
"No, what'd happened?" Toon Link asked.
"He said we need to get all the others," Yoshi replied.
"Just as I figured," Marth said, as he ascended the platform, hearing Yoshi's words. "We should talk, and let him rest." Marth turned to see the other 4 creatures come up.
"We need to have a meeting."
Pikachu and Pichu took over for Toon Link as guard during the discussion. Yoshi stayed by Mewtwo, still resting, and probably unconsious.
"Looks like Tabuu will be coming back, no matter how we want it to be." Jigglypuff, Tails, and Toon Link sat and listened to Marth's speech. Marth was pacing back and forth, going over the happenings in his head.
"Pit must already know about this, if he is looking through the glass. Hopefully he'll have found some people," Marth went on. "I remember where the others were, but I should write them down before I forget. Do you have any paper on your ship?"
"Yeah, let me get it," and Toon Link went back to the ship.
"We'll need to go out and look for them," Marth went on. "But two people have to stay here and keep watch over Mewtwo and the portal."
"I think I should go," Pikachu said. "I know a lot about the different worlds, I've been exploring a lot."
"Can I go too?" Pichu asked.
"And me?" Jigglypuff added.
"Alright," Marth replied. "You three, and Toon Link, since he has the ship. Yoshi, you should be able to take care of Mewtwo well, right?"
"Yes, I think so," Yoshi replied.
"Then you can stay. What about you Tails?"
"I have a friend on a nearby island, I can see if he wants to help."
"Thats good, where is it?"
"The last one we sailed past. I can fly there on my own."
"Alright, then do you want to get on that asap?"
"Ok!" he rpelied, and with that, Tails left.
"I'm back," Toon Link called, carrying paper.
"Perfect," Marth replied, and wrote down the last known locations of everyone else. "And remember, if we need everyone, it'll be the enemies too. Bowser has Mr. Game and Watch, so we need to save him quickly. Can you sail with the pokemon back to look for the others and bring them back?"
"Sure, when should we leave?" Toon Link asked.
"Can you leave now?"
"Sure."
"Then get on it. I'll stay here and protect the portal. Tails went to..."
"I can't fly till morning," Tails said, coming back up the steps. Too dark."
"Alright, stay here then," Marth said. "Good luck guys." Toon Link left with the pokemon to get to the ship, and Marth was guarding the portal. Tails waved to them as they sailed away.

"Who knew?" Marth asked, laying on his back.
"What?" Tails asked, also laying on his back. Yoshi was now guarding the portal, but nothing had come near it, nobody had seen anything on the other side. Mewtwo was still laying unconsious, but he seemed to be doing better, according to Yoshi. The fruits on the island were very healty, tasted good, and apparently were special to the island. Yoshi suspected they had psychic properties, and so got them for the 4 characters staying there. He made a mush of one fruit to give to Mewtwo, who had awoken and ate some, then went back to rest. He was too tired to do anything, but now they were sure he would recover, it would just be a matter of time.
"That we would be on this journey. That I would be talking to an anmial with two tails and one who can eat a person and turn him into an egg, when I was trying to help take care of a DNA cloned creature with psychic abilities, and defeat a powerful humanoid creature from another world," Marth replied. He looked up at the full moon in the clear sky. He guessed it was almost 3 A.M., and he would have to go protect the portal soon.
"Oh, that," Tails replied. "Well you never know whats gonna happen. I always figured I would just grow up to be a mechanic, not a sidekck."
"What do you mean sidekick?" Marth asked, proping himself up on one elbow.
"Sonic is always the hero, I'm the faithful sidekick, thats how its always been, always will be," Tail replied simply, not getting up. Marth got up to take over Yoshi's post.
"You will be a hero soon too, everyone here has been important in their own ways, you will become a hero, don't you worry," Marth replied.
"But it's scary, always having to face the evil. I don't know, I just don't have the spirit of a hero, the first reaction I have in danger is to turn to Sonic to ask what to do. It's hard to do anything on my own," Tails replied.
"You'll get used to it," Yoshi consoled him.
"I guess," Tails replied.

Toon Link sailed his ship, with the help of the pokemon, towards Port Azulmar.
"Do you think Pit is helping us right now?" Pichu asked.
"Yeah, probably more then we know," Jigglypuff replied. "He always finds out about everything first."
"Will there be anyone else new who he told?" Pichu asked. No one knew what to answer. After a pause, Toon Link spoke up.
"Hopefully not, the more people who know, the less chance of the prophecy coming true," Toon Link replied.
"But it never said we'd lose," Pichu replied. "It only said he would come back. Maybe more people knowing would mean he might not come back." The others thought about this valid idea, and were silenced.

At the break of dawn on the island, Marth took over the portal posistion, and Yoshi walked Tails down to the shore.
"You ready?" Yoshi asked.
"Yeah. This is something I know I can do," Tails replied.
"What's your friend's name?" Yoshi asked.
"Knuckles," Tails replied.
"And thanks for helping out," Yoshi said.
"Don't worry about it," Tails replied with a small smile which faded to a small frown quickly. And with that, Tails was off. Yoshi waved good-bye to him. It would be a while before they met again.

Captain Falcon and Samus led Red and Green into Samus' hanger in the Space District. Her ship had just crashed, and even though she planned on getting another one made, her suit fell apart. She kept a couple spares in her hanger, so they decided to stop there first.
"Alright, give me a minute to put it on," Samus called out; she had gone into a small changing room/bedroom.
"I might as well get the car and bring it here," Falcon said. "You two wanna come with me?"
"nah, I'll stay here," Red said, looking towards the changing room.
"No," Green replied forcefully. "We'll both go."
"We shouldn't leave Samus alone though," Red replied, just as angry. "So I'...
"I'll stay then," Green replied, still angry.
"Alright then, let's go Red," Captain Falcon replied, completely oblivious to the underlying meaning of that argument.
Falcon led the way to his hanger, some ways away, and began to talk about his car.
"I just had the engine replaced, now it's a..."
"I don't care," Red said rudely. Falcon looked somewhat shocked.
"You don't?"
"No. No one cares about your stupid car or your stupid trophies."
"Oh." They continued on in silence.
Red whispered to himself, "What the h*ll does Samus see in him? And why isn't Green being supportive like usual?"
Back at Samus' hanger, she was done getting dressed and walked back into the main room to see Green sitting down on a couch, arms crossed, glaing at her.
"Where'd they go?" Samus asked, in a monotone voice.
"To get the car, they're going to bring it here to pick us up," Green said, with only the slightest bit of annoyance in her voice.
"And they both went?"
"Yep."
"So I guess we wait."
"Yep."
"...Nice weather we're having," Samus said, not trying to be polite, but had nothing else to say.
"Just who do you think you are?"
"What do you mean?"
"I've been friends with him forever."
"Oh. So it's coming to that," Samus replied, getting up. "We've been through a lot together in the last few weeks and..."
"Last few weeks?!? Didn't you hear me say I've known him my whole life?!?"
"Maybe he's not satisfied with you."
"What do you mean not satisfied?"
"You've been friends forever, thats it. That doesn't make you two automatically a couple."
"No but he barely knows you."
"Does he know you're a thief?"
"What?"
"I know you stole the Clefairy doll."
"...no," Green got quiet. "I don't know, when I see something I like, and I get the impule to take it...I just do. And I'm good at it."
"And he wouldn't like you if he knew this?"
"Well i don't...of course he would he's my best friend! He's my only friend!" Samus was about to respond when:
They then heard a horn sound. "We're here!" Falcon called from outside. The two girls walked out, glaring at each other until they got into the car. Red looked between the two in girls. He went to go sit by Samus, but Green put her hand on his shoulder. Red breathed out, and felt wierd. Like, first he was tense but then suddenly comfortable, but also different. Things had changed.
"Sit here," Green ordered. Red did, but looked to Samus as if to say Sorry I really wanna sit by you.
"Where are we going?" asked the always oblivious Captain Falcon.
"Towards the sea, thats where a couple people were going to be," Samus replied.

Pikachu jumped off the boat even before it gently hit the dock. They had worked out this plan before getting near here, and Jigglypuff and Pichu were jumping off the boat too now that it was closer. Jigglypuff and Pichu would tie it down, and Toon Link would drop the anchor. Pikachu would pay the man to hold the ship for them; Pikachu knew him very well, and was the fastest. They decided they have no time to lose, and were going to to the people who were closest, the Ice Climbers in the Mountain District.
Pikachu paid the man and was about to run back when he saw a ship begin to land.
"Pikachu!" Samus called out as it did. Pikachu didn't know how people did it, but somehow they could tell him apart from all the other Pikachus in the world.
"Let me get the others!" He called back, and ran to get Toon Link, Jigglypuff and Pichu.
"So somebody attacked you too?" Pikachu asked. They had told their stories to each other.
"Yeah, but we don't know who," Captain Falcon replied. "You said you have a list of where everyone is, right?"
"Any guesses?" Toon Link asked.
"No, no idea," Samus replied.
"So you have a list of where everyone is, right?" Captain Falcon repeated slightly annoyed.
"And neither of you saw anything?" Pichu asked.
"No," Red and Green shook their heads.
Captain Falcon spoke louder, "You said you have a list of where everyone is, correct?!?"
"Yes, why?" Toon Link asked.
"We can talk on the way to getting everone we'll take my ship," he replied, "Come on."
He led the way to the ship. Toon Link shrugged at Samus.
"Didn't know he was this serious," he said.
"Neither did I," Samus said, and they all boarded the Blue Falcon, and were going to head off to the West.
"Give me the places," Falcon deadpaned. Toon Link read them off, and he put them into his computer.
"Alright, looks like it's found some people, and they're in trouble. We go to Peach's Castle first."
And off they flew.

Marth saw Yoshi walk back up the steps and go to Mewtwo. He hoped everything would work out alright, but the way things were, he just didn't know. The enemies were acting wierdly from meeting Bowser Jr., and while at Angelic Isle he heard that Bowser's whole army was moving, with a new weapon. He would assume it was just the normal, except he sent a quarter of the army to go and get Mr. Game and Watch.
"Stay here," He told Yoshi, and then, Marth steped through the portal into subspace.

"So what do you know about him?"
"He's the classic heartless king of evil," Ike replied. Dante was asking him about Ganondorf and his minions who were about to attack.
Roy was preparing the castle to hold up to a seige, and Fox, Sonic, and Luigi were scrounging up any weapons they could find. Roy had sent all the other soldiers home, confident they could defend with just themselves. Ike was currently working out, and Dante had been going around to inquire about Ganondorf.
"And you say that they spider was part of his army?"
"Yes." Ike replied shortly, starting to get annoyed.
"Have any of those creatures showed any connection to Tabuu?
"Look, can you do something to help?" Ike asked.
"Alright, looks like you don't know anymore, so I better go ask someone else." Dante left Ike still training, and went downstairs to find the others.
On the staircase, he met Roy.
"Hey, I was looking for you, wanna help outside? And have you seen Sonic?"
"Haven't seen him, but look, what do you know...?" Dante began.
"If it's about Ganon, I'm not the one to ask. That would be either Link or Zelda." They continued down the stairs to the outside of the castle.

"Sonic! Sonic! Roy's looking for you!" Luigi called off into the air, hoping Sonic would hear. He and Fox were carrying lances down to the castle grounds. "You haven't said a word since you got here Fox."
"Oh, I haven't?"
"Nah, not really," Sonic said, rushing up to them. He held a Big mac in one hand and a soda in the other.
"Where were you?!? How could you get food when they're going to attack?" Luigi admonished. Meanwhile Fox continued walking with his head down.
"Yeah, so? Since when are you so uptight?" Sonic asked, taking a bite out of the burger.
"This is my chance to fight. Redeem myself," Luigi replied.
"For what?" Sonic asked.
"Guys!" Roy called to them as he saw them approach. "Great. Now, Sonic, run some laps around the castle, pretty wide, to dig a trench in the ground."
"OK!" Sonic said, and began running. Every once in a while they saw a blur go by, slowly getting lower.
"Once he's done, place these lances in the ditch, spear part up, and then we'll cover this ground with hay.
"Brilliant," Dante whispered, nodding.
"But we should cover this whole area with it, otherwise it will be obvious. We'll have better chances fighting inside the castle, where theres less room for them to get to all of us. Luigi, do you want to help me out inside? We need to get Ike and start setting up traps in there." Luigi nodded and they left.
Fox walked over to the spears slowly and sadly and started to pick some up.
"Are you alright?" Dante asked, going to get some himself.
"Yeah," Fox sighed.
"So then why are you acting like this?" Dante asked.
"No reason."
"I hear though you used to act a lot differently?"
"Well, yeah, but I was stupid back then."
"Two days ago?"
"Do you know what it's like to lose the thing you value most?"
"Yes."
"Oh." Short pause.
"Look, Fox. You need to be able to come out of this and learn something from it, but not back into a corner and let it eat at you. You seem to have learned a lesson, but you need to be able to use that knowledge to act reasonably."
"But what if I can't?"
"You used to be the most confident smasher here. You're still the same person, you just need to get some confidence back. We're video game characters; no one dies unless it needs to happen, and the time for that has not come, I know it. The other two are fine, I'm sure. Once we're done here, we will be able to go and find them, don't worry about that. But for now, we need to protect ourselves."
"..."
"what would they want you to do? What would sh...?"
"I'm done!" announced Sonic, stopping.
"Thanks," Fox replied, slightly happier.
"Here, start laying this grass out." Dante ordered. He and Fox began to put in the lances, while Sonic did his job.

Roy began walking up the stairs, followed by Luigi. They entered a long hallway, with large suits of armor stood up along the walls on either side. Tapestries were everywhere, which were orange with Roy's symbol. There were windows close to the high ceiling, those stained glass windows let light filter in.
"Alright, now for the inside. We might have to use ourselves as bait a couple times, but, it should be fairly easy as long as everything goes according to plan..." Roy began.
"Why don't we just, uhh, fight them?" Luigi asked, slightly hesitantly.
"What?" Roy replied.
"I mean, we should be able to handle the minions, and..."
"No, there are too many of them. It'll be easier with traps."
"I'm-a just saying..."
"What are you Mario?"
Luigi looked kinda angry. "No." He replied, mad and sternly.
"Alright, so listen. Start tying this string to the pins of the dynamite over there, and place the dynamite behind each suit of armour."
"It's armor."
"But I like it with a u." The two began to do that, and ran a trip wire across one end of the hallway.
When they finished, Roy turned to Luigi and told him. "Go find Ike and ask him to help, they might be attacking soon. I'll go towards the game rooms to set up more traps." And so Roy left to set up another trap or two, and Luigi said goodbye to him for the last time before the attack. Luigi then headed upstairs to the training room.

Dante, Fox, and Sonic were finishing up their job back down in front of the castle, when Fox's ears perked up.
"Did everyone else just hear something? Like thumping?" Fox asked.
"No," Dante replied shortly. "Sonic. You can get to Mewtwo fast, right? Go and warn him. It would probably be better if someone else knew, and it might help him solve this whole mystery."
"K, I'm on it," Sonic replied, and he ran off into the distance towards the islands, hoping he would find the right one.
"You think that was a good idea? Only 5 of us might not be able to hold them off," Fox asked Dante.
"The needs of the individual are subject to the needs of the whole. It's more important that Mewtwo knows, even if it is at a cost to us, because he can help overall the most."
"That might be easy for you to say, you've never been captured before..." Fox replied.

Ike was leaving the training room when he met Luigi, coming into it.
"Roy needs you," Luigi said. But then he seemed to stare out into the distance out of the window. Ike turned to look too, and he saw Ganondorf's army beginning to approach.
"Let's get on the roof," Ike said. "We'll get a better view from there."

The two headed onto the roof, which looked very much like the one from Castle Seige. Luigi came up behind Ike, who was already looking around the perimeter.
"They have us surrounded. But it seems to be weaker from the West; Ganondorf himself is coming from the East. Soren would want us to take out the East troops and rendezvous somewhere else..."
"We attack Ganondorf," Luigi said sternly, determined. Ike had never seen him this intent. "It's what Mario would do. He would be able to take them."
"...I'd wanna attack them, but..." Ike began.
"Are you with me or not?" Luigi asked, and with that, he jumped over the balcony and onto the slanted roof.
"Alright, let's go!" Ike replied, and followed him.
When the castle was designed, Roy made it so the curvature of the roof would make for an easy escape, and so Luigi and Ike slid down the curves and landed safely and gently on the ground. Neither saw Dante Sonic or Fox as they ran towards Ganondorf.

Dante and Fox began to see the enemies closing in on them; led by Ganondorf. He walked assuridly, knowing that he would be successful in this attack. With his impressive army circled around the castle and in such large numbers, there was no way for him to let the characters get away on any land path there.
Dante stared back at the new foe, sizing him up. Greedy, intolerant, and powerful, Dante knew this type of enemy. Roy's traps would surely work, but Ganondorf would have already been used to such attempts and would surely adapt quickly.
"We have to go in and find Roy, warn him," Dante stated, and with a swish of his cloak, turned to go inside.
"But, what about Sonic? Shouldn't we do something for him?" Fox asked.
"No. There is nothing that can be done, like in your case with your friend. Sonic will be safe from Ganondorf; I wouldn't be worrying about him if I were you." Dante then began to walk inside.
"I did have a choice..." Fox muttered, but followed.

Roy knocked over the pool tables and collected the balls in a bag. He was tipping over the tables, and creating a maze like pattern that only those who were agile and surefooted could get through. With a nearby lance he poked a hole in one of the sides of a pool table, and stuck in a cue. He continued to do this, making obstacles along the root, and therefore hoping to prevent any spiders or any like creatures from getting through. He continued through the green decorated room, heading over to one end with a bookcase right across from the doorway. He pulled out books in an order, and once he did, a wall panel flipped next to the bookcase, revealing a set of levers.
"Good thing I put in all the works," Roy said to himself, pulling down levers. This caused the poles on which banners around the room were held to move. With the maze set up as it was, the curtains were right on top of the tables, making the hard route clearly visible. He then pulled a final lever, dropping metal weights behind every curtain; this way no one would be able to cut through the maze. Finally, he put up a final wooden, rectangular table on top of the table that separated the bookcase from the door. The final table had a hole, one foot in diameter, big enough to attack through, but not to crawl through.
Roy then pulled out a final book, after replacing the others, and the bookcase moved, revealing a passageway. He followed it, making sure to avoid the hole on one side of it. He continued through the dark stone passageway, lighting his sword with fire for minimal light. Once he got to the end he pushed a stone, and the wall swung open, revealing it to lead to the previously mentioned armour room. It was then Roy heard the shouts, and began to run to the entrace of the castle. In the atrium, as he was about to draw his sword he saw Dante briskly enter, Fox trotting behind.
"What's going on guys?" Roy asked.
"They're coming," Dante replied shortly. "Do you have all your traps in place?"
"Could've had more, but we can make do. Where's Sonic?" Roy wondered, not seeing the blue hedgehog.
"Gone to warn Mewtwo, let's go fight," Dante replied, turning to leave.
"But why didn't he stay, we need him!" Roy excalimed.
"Thats what I said," Fox told him.
"Things will happen they way they will, it will not have mattered," Dante said, leaving Fox with Roy. They looked at each other, and then ran out to help with the fight.

Ike and Luigi were charging straight towards Ganondorf, eager to get his fight overwith. Some of the charging creatures began to circle the heroes, but both were able to clear them away quickly. As they ran, Luigi sent off fireballs in all directions, slowly getting closer to the evil king. But then, the flying skull enemies began to close in on him. Although he tried to be courageous, Luigi was terrified on the inside and began to tremble. They were going to ram into him, when a golden sword cut through the enemies. Ike landed in front of Luigi, in his classic style.
Luigi heard a shot, and when Ike got up and turned around, the whites of his eyes were black.
"No..." Luigi said.
"Yes." replied Ganondorf. "Finally, some respect. Now that I have a worthy ally forced to fight for me, I cannot lose! For this is even better because of WHO I have now recruited. For it is Ike, Greil Mercenary, so stong he is able to wield a two handed sword in one. With this new ally, who does specialize in power, like a weaker version of me, *Ike glares at Ganondorf, still captured though* I will be able to, one by one, take the rest of the prophesized heroes, and rule them all. I will start with the ones that have already realized their destiny, and then..."
"Hey-a. Thats a long speech for a villian," Luigi said, growing impatient.
"<sigh> Really? Because I always give these long, uber speechs, and Link never complains. I mean, if an enemy doesn't have a chance to get out their threat, or give a speech of how the hero cannot win, how popular do you expect us to get? Because otherwise..."
"You're doing it again," Luigi replied, irritably.
"Will you stop interrupting me? You're just like Mario."
"..." Luigi grew furious. "I...AM...NOT...MARIOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" as he said the last word Luigi jumped, ready to punch Ganon. But he never made contact.
"Foolheadery courage," Ganondorf muttered, shooting Luigi with a black energy arrow.
"Now, for the other three," Ganondorf said, Ike at his right hand, Luigi standing behind him.

"Did they go out to attack?" Fox asked, trying to catch up with the other two. Dante and Roy stepped out into the light, each looking a different way; Dante to the right, Roy to the left.
"There they are," Dante said, pointing. Ganondorf Ike and Luigi were walking closer to the castle.
"He got them already?" Fox asked aloud.
"We better go in," Roy said, turning to go into the castle. Fox followed, but Dante stayed.
"Fasinating," Dante muttered, standing there. He was looking at the other character's eyes, with the white of them filled in with black. "Eyes are usually the most tell-tale part of a person, shows the most about their personality. You can tell...pretty much anything from them. But to have that corrupted, to take away that...altough the eyes aren't everything, they are important. And now, the true person ruling their bodies is reflected in that..."
"Dante, we have to run," said Roy. Dante suddenly realized that Ganondorf was getting closer, and that Roy had been trying to get him to go in for some time now.
"Then let's go," Dante said, and he led the way inside, followed closely by Roy.

Fox was waiting for them just inside the entrace hall.
"They coming?" he asked nervously.
"Yes, and now we should shoot," Dante said, taking out his guns.
"No, thats what the traps are for," Roy replied.
"Actually, this may be the best advice he's given us so far, let's do it," Fox replied. But a banging on the door signaled them all to move.
After sharing a quick glance, Dante led the way down the hall which held the armor (or armour) with the other two heroes right behind him. Ganondorf, as the three had heard, had just knocked down the door, and was following them into the hallway. Dante was halfway through when Ganondorf turned the corner and saw the three heroes for the first time. He raised a large arm and pointed in the direction of the heroes, and his army rushed after them, and began to flood the hallway.
Dante made it safely to the other side and waited for the other two, shooting the oncoming enemies. Roy jumped over the trip wire and ran up to Dante.
"Did you tell him about the trip wire?" Roy asked. They both looked back to see that Fox had just tripped it and everything in the hallway was about to be covered by the falling armour.
"FOX!" Roy called out, and began to run towards the creature, fallen on the ground, but was pulled away by a forceful grip.
"We have to keep moving," Dante said, and despite Roy trying to break free, they made it into another room, and Fox was buried under the clanging armor, with Ganondorf's spider army crawling over the wreckage to find the heroes.

Fox tried to get out of the wreckage, but was unable to move anything. He heard thousands of footsteps above him as the army trampled past, until finally the noise faded. Fox struggled to get up once more, but still couldn't. He heard more clanging of metal, and then someone or someones began to unbury him. Once his face was free he frowned, saddened.
"Be safe K..." Fox was then shot with the black arrow by Luigi and Ike.

"What did you do that for?!?" Roy asked Dante, as Dante dragged him to the game room that Roy had set up as a trap.
"It is what needed to happen," Dante replied.
"Who are you to say what happens? You just let a hero get captured."
"He was going to be lost anyway, there was nothing we could do for him!"
"There is always hope!"
Both heard a bang on the door. By this time the two heroes were by the bookcase with the secret passage (open), and Dante was ready to shoot through the hole Roy had set up earlier. They could hold out here for some time, but they would need to use the passage if all of the army came in here.
"But..."
"Shh...If we talk anymore we might not make it," Dante replied, steading his aim.
"Why does it matter if we talk?" Roy asked. Dante shook his head and lowered his gun for a second, and in that time the door burst open, and the enemies came in.
Dante began to shoot at the creatures, and once they got nearer Roy attacked with his sword. Their strategy worked well for the lesser enemies, but then came a blast of purple-ish black energy. Ganondorf was there. As he shot more magic energy everywhere, debris flew, and one attacksent the two flying away. Dante was sent flying into the secret passage, and Roy slammed into the lever, pushing it down and breaking it. The door closed with Dante in the passageway, and Roy stuck outside.
Roy frantically looked around and saw he was surrounded, with no way out. He knelt down on one knee, put his sword down, and said
"You win. Please, mercy."
Ganon then shot him with the black arrow.

"DA**" Dante yelled, as he tried to push the bookcase open. But he had to face it. He could not get back to Roy. He turned and ran down the hallway, sure it would lead to somewhere else. But when he reached the other entrance, he could not push it open, for it was being blocked by the fallen armour.
Dante began to walk down the dark passageway once more, and this time nearly fell into a hole. He inspected the ledge with his hands and deduced that the ladder led to a way out of the castle, and so he began his decent into darkness.
"Let's go."

Bowser Jr. put the 2-D glasses in a special compartment of the clown car and looked around to the other dark koopas with him. it had been a day since the events with the other characters.
"Game and Watch is gonna make daddy happy, and now we're in the clear! Back home to daddy!" Jr. yelled, and he began to steer the car toward's Peach's castle. But as they flew, they passed an island, with some people on it...

"So, anyone know what was up with that flash?" Knuckles asked, none of the others knew anything.
"So when do we get off this island?" Falco asked, moving towards the boat.
"Wait Falco, we have more pressing matters to discuss here," Lucario said, taking charge. "Tabuu is back, and the red flash must not be good."
"So why didn't you say anything a minute ago?" Falco asked. Lucario ignored the question.
"We need to get to Mewtwo and warn him about this," Lucario said. "We only have one boat."
"I can swim," DK replied.
"Good, but that still leaves 6 of us," continued Lucario.
"6?" Falco asked.
"The Climbers are two people," DK replied.
"So I suggest that the younger children and I start towards where Mewtwo is, and I'll come back for the rest," Lucario finished. There was a general uproar.
"Why you three...i mean four?!?" Falco asked.
"The kids should get off the island as fast as possible. And I can use my Aura sphere to give off light. Then once we know where we're going, I'll..."
"You don't know where the island is?" Falco asked, enraged.
"No, we don't, so if you'll let us leave..." Lucario continued.
"This is getting us nowhere," Knuckles complained.
"Well, until we agree on something no one is leaving," DK said, sitting by the boat.
"Fine," Falco said, sitting down.
"Fine," Lucario said too.
"What just happened?" Knuckles asked.
"I don't know," Lucas replied. "But it looks like we should make camp."
So camp was set up for the night, DK still guarding the boat, and Falco and Lucario had not talked since the argument. It was around midnight and everyone was sleeping. Well, was supposed to be.

An animal gets up quietly and goes towards the boat.
"Where are you going?" DK asked Lucario, opening his eyes.
"I...uhh..." Lucario replied.
"Go back to bed," DK said. Lucario went back to sleep.

"Where are you going?" DK asked.
"Well...I...," Falco sputtered.
"Go back to bed," DK said. Lucario went back to sleep.

"Yes?" DK asked.
"What? I was just gonna go for a quick boat trip," Knuckles replied.
"Why do you want to get off?"
"To make sure the Emerald is fine."
"Don't worry, did you leave someone to protect it?"
"Yes?"
"Then it will be fine. So please go back to bed."

"Who is it this time?" DK asked, hearing the sound of wood moving.
"Me," said Popo, stopping what he was doing for a secong, then picking up an oar again.
"Why do you want to leave?"
"Somebody's gotta do something."
"Why don't you leave it to the adults?"
"Because they can't seem to do anything right." Popo threw down the oar.
"That isn't all is it?"
"...no. I'm losing control of everything. She's going off with him now, and there's nothing I can do about it. I mean, most people see me as the bad guy but all I've done was for her, to protect her."
DK sighed. "I don't know what to say little buddy. It's hard losing someone. But maybe it's right. Maybe it's what needs to happen. Did you even really like her?"
"Of course!"
"Life a good friend or a sister?"
"...I don't know..."

Lucas got up and went over to where Nana was sleeping. He shook her gently to wake her.
"L...Lucas? What's up?"
"Can I talk to you?"
"Sure."
"Follow me."
Lucas led Nana out a little bit into the jungle where they found a fallen log and sat down next to each other.
"I've been thinking...well, since it's getting to be the end of the world and everything..."
"We don't know that," Nana replied.
"Well, anyways, just in case anything happens, I want you to know that...that..."
"yes?" Nana asked expectantly.
"Just, I'll make sure nothing happens to you because...because..."
"What are you two doing out here?" Popo asked, walking in on them. "C'mon Nana you need to get some sleep." Popo pulled her away and dragged her back to the beach. Sh elooked back helplessly at Lucas, who, when they had gone, leaned back to look up at the sky, thinking, why me? Then he fell backwards off of it.

It was just past sunrise, and everyone was just beginning to get up. No one else had made an attempt to get on the boat, and everything seemed to be going peacefully as they had fruits for breakfast. Still, no one talked to each other. During the middle of breakfast they heard what seemed to be a helicopter nearing them.
"Hey...maybe they can help us!" Lucas cried, and the others followed him as he began waving his arms and yelling. But when what they heard came into sight, all but one stared at it, confused.
"Remember my friend I told you about...he's here," Knuckles said, mostly to Falco.
Tails landed on the island, surprised to see so many people. "Do any of you guys know Mewtwo?"
"Kinda..." Nana replied knowingly.
"So you guys all came here to go find Mewtwo? I can lead you there. But he's not in the best shape," Tails said, after hearing everyone's story. "And some others got there first, and they went out to get more help."
"Thats good," Lucario said. "So why don't you fly us to the island, we can follow along in the boat."
"What?!?" Falco said incredulously. "He has to help me repair my Arwing!"
"And the Emerald!" Knuckles added in.
"Look, can I eat first? I haven't had any breakfast yet?" Tails asked, rubbing his stomach. "And Knuckles, everything is fine, I talked to your replacement yesterday."
"Sure," replied DK. "Lucario, Falco, you guys want to talk?"
"Ok," Lucario consented.
"Whatever," Falco replied.
"Me too. If you're talking about my friend I want to know," Kuckles said.
"And I wanna hear," Lucas said.
"Me too," Popo said, when he heard Lucas join.

"So what did you want to talk about?" Falco asked, with an edge in his voice.
"It looks like we all can work it out now. Tails knows where Mewtwo is. Lucario, Lucas, Popo, and Nana can travel by boat in the direction he points us in, I'll swim behind them. Tails can help you fix your Arwing, Falco, which can take you and Knuckles to where you need to go."
"I'll go help with you guys I guess," Knuckles replied.
"And I'll help once I find Wolf and beat him," Falco added.
"Good. Then we agree," DK finalized.

Nana went over to Tails while he was eating.
"So what were you doing here?" Tails asked Nana, seeing she was somewhat upset.
"Well, me and my friend were kinda hoping to find our parents, but mostly we wanna help save the world," Nana replied.
"Cool, it's good to have ambitions," he replied. "You know a tradition I used to have at home? When I knew something would be difficult for me, I would write a message, put it in a bottle, and throw it out to sea."
"How come?"
"It just helps me understand I am scared. But you never know what's going to happen. So it's just partly up to fate." Tails got her a bottle, paper and a pencil, and so she wrote both things on it, capped the bottle, threw it out to sea, and watched it drift off.

But this peacefulness was disrupted by...
"Do I smell smoke?" Lucas asked, and they all turned to see trees burning.
"My daddy's gonna be real happy now!" cried Bowser Jr. to them all. His army dropped down from the Clown Car into the jungle. None were at the beach with them yet.
"Everyone ready to fight?" Lucas asked. Popo took out his mallet and Lucas prepared to attack with a PSI attack, but Lucario stopped him.
"It is more important we get to Mewtwo. You two go over to Tails and have him tell you which way it is. You two and Nana can get a head start. We'll take care of them here." Both looked like they wanted to argue, but at DK's nod began to run towards Nana and Tails.

"Guys, what was that?" Nana asked as Popo and Lucas as they ran to meet her.
"A bad guy. Lucario said we need to leave," Popo replied.
"Me too?" Tails asked.
"He didn't say anything but for you to tell us the right direction. They think it'll be quick," Lucas replied.
"Alright, it's that way," Tails pointed. I'm gonna go see them. Good luck." And with that Tails ran towards the others. The Climbers and Lucas ran towards the boat and got ready.

"What's going on?" Tails asked as he neared the main group.
"We're being attacked, can you fight?" Lucario asked.
"Not well. Do you think I could work on the Arwing and maybe we can use that to attack?"
"Sure," Lucario said. "Falco is good in that. Knuckles, you want to protect him?" Knuckles nodded.
"Follow me," he told Tails and the two ran into the jungle.
"Ready to attack?" Lucario asked the two remaining.
"Always ready," Falco replied, and the three headed into the jungle towards where the Koopas were being dropped off.

"Wow," Tails said, seeing the wreckage.
"That's what I said," Knuckles replied. Tails got right down to work.
"So how've things been?"
"Alright. Pretty peaceful until a little while ago."
"What do you think of the others?"
"They seem nice."
"Not suspicious?"
"Knuckles...you have to relax and start to trust people more. The good people." There was a few minutes of silence, at the end of which Tails had the Arwing in flyable condition. While it wasn't perfect, it would work for then.
"Why don't you go tell the others, I'll wait here," Tails told Knuckles.
"Alright," Knuckles replied, and left.

Lucario Falco and DK charged into the jungle; ready to fight off the koopas. But they didn't expect there to be so many, DK could easily knock them into their shells, he had done this many times before. Falco was able to shoot at them from long distance, and so was clear of any attack himself. Lucario made off well on his own, being a pokemon he knew how to fight. They were making decent progress, but the dark koopas seemed to be coming from nowhere, as more and more kept coming.
"Hey guys! I'm here to fi...!" Knucles began, running into the clearing, but as he said this he was shot by an orange arrow. Bowser Jr., in his clown car was shooting from above. Knuckles ran over to DK before he knew what was happening, and held the primape down, while Jr. shot at Lucario. Lucario dodged one by diving through a patch on bushes to his left. Jr. shot at Falco, but he reflected it, right towards where Lucario had gone through. Jr. shot DK, and seeing this, Falco ran off to his Arwing.
Meanwhile, something caught Jr.'s eye and so he flew off, while shouting,
"Get him!"

Popo, Nana, and Lucas were rowing away from the island in their boat, when Bowser Jr. landed his clown car on the now empty beach. He saw the 3 rowing away, when they were still within range and took out the dark cannon.
"Guys?" Nana asked, as an orange arrow flew towards the boat. She was on the back, and since Popo was facing away, he didn't see she get shot with the arrow.
"No!" yelled Lucas, and grabbed her with the snake, then threw her.
"What did you do that for?" Popo asked, hitting Lucas.
"She was evil!"
"No she wasn't! You think I don't care about her but I do!" Nana, evil, was pulling herself back onto the boat.
"Hey, I definately care about her! Why are you saying I don't?!?"
"Because you're trying to steal her from me!" But after he said this, Nana grabbed his leg and pulled him inot the water.
"Popo!" Lucas called, right before he was shot.
As they were underwater, Popo turned to see Nana's face, and she was indeed under Bowser Jr.'s influence. He was shocked, especially that she had pulled him under and not Lucas. So he closed his eyes and sort of sighed as she brought him back up to the surface. After he was shot, they began to head back to shore.

Lucario, having jumped thorugh the bushes, was shocked to see someone he recognized. Lucario saw the portal this character was reaching through, offering his hand.
"Come, quickly. We have work to do." Lucario got up and followed Mewtwo through the portal. It dissappeared as an orange arrow shot through where Lucario had been not a moment before.

"Falco, where are you going?" Tails asked, as he saw Falco enter the clearing and get ready to fly the Arwing. Tails got in too, after Falco motioned him to. "Where are the others?"
"They all got captures, I saw it myself. I don't know if the kids got away but they had a decent head start. We're going back to the main land," Falco replied, as he flew towards the main land.
"But what about Mewtwo?" Tails asked.
"We should get others to help too," Falco replied.
"And I guess going back would lead them to Mewtwo and that's bad..." Tails attempted to convince himself.
"There ya go, keep tellin yourself that. I'm always right anyways."

Yoshi sat on the island, alone, holding Mewtwo's head in his lap. Mewtwo had not been very active recently, but he was still breathing. It was then that a visitor came, unexpected, to the island.

Dante climbed down the ladder carefully, and finally reached the bottom. He looked around, and even in the darkness, he could not see anything. Dante held out his hands, being in the dark, to try and find something to hold onto. He saw a blue~ish light coming from a little bit down, and ran towards it, coming to a T intersection. Looking to the right he saw a deku scrub with blue leaves walk through a door, close it and lock it. The deku scrub seemed to have not noticed Dante. But to the left was a portal in midair. Dante decided to walk into it and found himself in subspace.
It was a vast expanse of blue and purple, he could barely see what he was standing on. But he walked on. Finally, he saw a figure in the distance, and began to run towards it, drawing his guns. The figure seemed not to pose a threat, but held a weapon at the ready. As he neared the person, he slowed, and put away his weapons, correctly guessing that the other was not from subspace.
"Who are you?" Marth asked.
"I'm here to save you," Dante replied.
