(Last time on The Rift: We took a glimpse into Gredlor's life. Now we must get back to the swordsmen and the shadow stalking them.)
"Kirby!!" Link yelled as he leapt through the Dream Land portal. "We desperately nee..." He stopped when he saw all of the dreamland inhabitants lying in their own blood strewn across the landscape.
"LINK!!" Roy and Marth made it through the portal in time to see Kirby and King Dee Dee Dee crying in front of Link. "Strange people came to our world and slew everyone, me and King Dee managed to kill one of them, but the rest vanished with the Rainbow Cutter."
"Roy, Marth check the eastern landscape for survivors. I'll take King Dee and Kirby to check the western area." Roy and Marth nodded and headed east, while Link and his group started west. After the two groups split up, a shadowed figure appeared through the portal and looked over the mess.
"Kirby has gotten sloppy in the time I have been away" The shadowed figure looked east and west to see if he could see Kirby and decided to head east.
*Meanwhile, back at Hyrule Castle*
"I'm sorry sir, but Princess Zelda is not in at the moment." Gredlor looked impatiently at the castle guard and seemed to begin to lose his patience.
"Can you tell me where Princess Zelda is?" The guard looked him over and let out a light grunt.
"NO!" Gredlor pulled out his battle-axe and put the blade aganst the guards neck. "okay, okay... I think she said she was going to her summer house at Lake Hylia." Gredlor smiled feindishly at the guard and put his axe back on his back.
"Thank you sir, have a nice day." Gredlor chuckled as he sprinted southwest towards Lake Hylia.
*Meanwhile back at the farm... errr... Dream land, Marth and Roy are looking for survivors*
"IF ANYONE HERE IS NOT DEAD, RAISE YOUR HAND" Roy laughed at Marth's attempt at finding survivors, while he poked the bodies with the tip of his sword. He thought that anyone who was alive would jump and scream in pain if they were lightly stabbed.
"Where is Kirby?!" Roy and Marth spun around at the sound of the voice and saw a shadowy figure that was about the same size as Kirby, but with glowing yellow eyes and something flowing behind him. Roy made his sword glow red and revealed the figure.
"Metaknight, why are you after Kirby again?" Roy asked, staring blankly at the tiny swordsman.
"I need his assistance, my ship was ransacked by strange invaders and I am now low on help." Roy and Marth looked at eachother and began laughing. "DON"T MOCK ME!!!" Metaknight drew his sword and flung himself at Roy.
