(Previously: Link learned of the King of Hyrule's death at the hands of a mysterious force and brought Marth and Roy with him to find Mario and his gang.)

"I hope you make it to Mushroom Kingdom safely Link." Zelda paced around Link's room, upset over the loss of her father, but even more over the great blade that killed him. She began running through the possibilities of who could have done it, but realized that the only person evil enough to do it was sealed away and far too ignorant.
"He'll make it safetly..." Zelda slowly turned toward the door and saw a feminine figure standing in the doorway. She was wearing all black and had the great blade strapped to her back. "... you really don't need to worry about that. It's you that you should be worried about." The mysterious woman pulled a knife out of her shirt sleeve and threw it at Zelda, blade first.
"Nayru's Love!" A transparent blue diamond appeared around Zelda, deflecting the knife. "Din's Fire!" Zelda opened her hand, palm facing the attacker and a ball of fire shot forth and flew directly at the darkly dressed woman. The attacker moved out of the way and smirked, but her facial expression changed when Zelda snapped her fingers. The fireball exploded, sending the woman-in-black flying into the western wall of Link's room.
"You are a good fighter, Zelda. I can tell that I'm not going to beat you any time soon, so I shall tell you the name of your father's killer. My name is Seria, a trained assassin from a dimension separate from this one." She looked at Zelda, who's eyes were full of hatred and confusion. "I have already said too much. I bid you farewell." With those parting words Seria vanished, leaving Zelda to cry fresh tears.
*Meanwhile, the sword wielding trio make their way to the MK*
"Hey Link, have you met Princess Peach before?" Roy and Link both looked at Marth as if he was speaking a different language.
"Yeah, I have. She's a really nice person, I actually met her when I was on my travels and I got sick. She got her servants to carry back to the Mushroom Castle for the doctors to care for me." Roy thought about this for a moment and a sinister grin spread across his face.
"You better keep that low key or Zelda might get jealous." Roy and Marth burst into laughter until Link smacked them in the back of the head.
"Let's just focus on getting to the Mushroom Kingdom as fast as poss... wahhhhh." As Link spoke he tripped over a Goomba. He got up and noticed that he had knocked the evil mushroom unconscious. "What the hell? We aren't even close to the MK pipe and there's a Goomba here"
"Oh my, I was just on my way to find you guys. There has been a horrible event that took place in the Castle." Link looked up to see Luigi climbing out of the Mushroom Kingdom pipe with tears in his eyes. "Mario and Bowser have been assassinated and Princess Peach has been kidnapped." Link, Marth and Roy all stared in disbelief at Luigi as he collapsed into tears next to the pipe.
"I guess you can blame me for that." Seria appeared next to Luigi with a knife in hand.
"Who the hell are you?" Seria looked at Link and gave him a sly smile.
"I can see why Zelda likes you. My name is Seria, assassin of a separate dimension, It's a pleasure to meet you. Now I believe I owe you an explanation before I end your lives."
