CHAPTER 5: THE POKEMON ASSAULT
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Well...” Meta Knight started, “That takes care of Ridley. But something still doesn’t feel right. It feels like something else is going to happen.”
“But what, though?” Samus asked. “We just got attacked by Ridley. Bowser was turned into a trophy. What do you propose next?”
“That’s what I hate about this feeling. You don’t exactly know WHAT it will be.”
“Well whatever it is, we’ll all be ready,” Sonic said.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Well, it looks like Ridley failed,” Cyrus said.
“I am WELL AWARE OF THAT!” Master yelled back. “And I DON’T need you pointing out the obvious EVERY TIME SOMETHING HAPPENS!!”
“How about we take a break from the attacks for a few days?” Ganondorf suggested. “You know, give them a sense of safety, and then take it away by attacking the temple again.”
The Master thought about it for a minute, and then said, “That’s not a bad idea, Ganondorf. I like it. Go downstairs and tell me which Pokemon look like they would do a good job”.
“Yes sir!” Ganondorf said, and headed downstairs.
The path to the basement was cold and hollow. Ganondorf made an echo every time he took a step. Not to mention the path looked incredibly old and dusty.
When the stairs ended, Ganondorf came across a door. On the door were three miniature, metal wheels. Each one had all the letters of the alphabet. He turned wheel one to ‘V’, wheel two to ‘G’, and wheel three to ‘W’. When all three letters were set, the door automatically opened. Ganondorf stepped inside the room.
The room was green, but that was because of all the tubes coming down from the ceiling. In each of these test tubes was a Pokemon. They had every single Pokemon in the tubes, with the exception of the legendaries.
“Hmm...”
Ganondorf walked over to a supercomputer and looked up at the screen. It had a silhouette of the first Pokemon, Bulbasaur.
“Not strong enough,” Ganondorf said, and turned a knob to the left. A Garchomp appeared on the screen.
“Ahh, this will do nicely,” Ganondorf said, and pressed a button. The Garchomp slid down the tube and outside of it, and approached Ganondorf. He repeated the process until the following Pokemon had been released from the tubes: Garchomp, Dragonite, Gyarados, Rhydon, Typhlosion, Scizor, and Electrode.
They returned back to the main room where their master was, and stood in front of him.
“Master!” Ganondorf said, “This is what I have selected.”
“Good,” the master said. “I will adjust the Colfux point so the Pokemon will be transported just outside the castle.”
All the Pokemon headed over to a teleporter, and the master pressed a button on his chair. A beam covered the Pokemon, and they disappeared, and then reappeared outside the temple. The master’s voice could be heard from absolutely nowhere.
”Now hear this! On the count of three, you are all to attack the temple! Use everything you’ve got and destroy it! One... two... three! ATTACK!”
All the Pokemon started to attack the temple and the Smashers ran outside to see what was going on.
“Yo-Yoshi!” Yoshi exclaimed, which meant “Not another attack”.
BEEEEEEEW!
All the Pokemon used Hyper Beam, one of the most powerful Pokemon attacks known to man. It was a great weapon for causing massive damage.
The Pokemon continued to attack the temple, and one final Hyper Beam shot from Gyarados was enough to finish it off.
CRK...CRK...CRK...
The front of the temple came crumbling down. And even though the Pokemon left, Gyarados stayed behind. He was having too much fun destroying the temple.
“RAAAAAAAH!”
TSEEEEW! Hyper Beam. TSEEEEEW! Hyper Beam. Again and again, Gyarados shot Hyper Beams until the temple was nothing but rubble.
“This-a has to stop-a now!” Mario said, and shot a fireball at Gyarados.
After a single fireball was shot, one flipping fireball, Gyarados went into a deep, deep anger. It became so angry, that all the blue on its body turned red.
“RAAAAAAAH!!!!!”
TSEEEW!!!
“Whoa!” Mario exclaimed.
Gyarados was exhaling so heavily, steam could be seen coming out of its nose.
RAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!”
Gyarados thrashed out its tail, knocking Mario and some of the other Smashers off their feet. The giant serpent then looked to its left, and headed straight for the town it say ahead.
Onett.
“He’s headed straight for Onett!” Ness said. “We can’t let it destroy the town!”
“The problem is stopping it,” Red replied. “Gyarados, when enraged, will go on a rampage and destroy whatever it feels like. Onett, despite being a big town, would come nowhere near close to satisfying Gyarados’ needs.
“Then there’s only one thing to do!” Ness said, and took off towards his hometown.
“Hey wait!” Isaac said, and followed the PSI youth.
“PK Fire!”
Ness shot a small blast of fire at Gyarados, who was not phased by this attack and brushed it off.
“Uh... PK Cross!”
Ness shot a glowing green energy ball at Gyarados who was affected by the attack. It squinted, but it eventually opened its eyes again and continued towards Onett.
“It’s no use. We can’t stop it,” Ness said.
“Let me try,” Isaac replied. He ran beside Gyarados, jumped, and cut off the two whiskers that were hanging off the side of its head.
“RAAAH!!!!!”
Gyarados was not happy with this, and lashed out its tail. First he knocked Isaac to the ground, then slammed him with its tail. After this, Gyarados continued towards its target.
“CHUUUUU!!!!”
A bolt of lightning came out of nowhere and hit Gyarados. Its body was surrounded by lightning, and the giant serpent roared in pain.
Pikachu’s evolved form, Raichu, jumped in front of Gyarados, and attacked the snake with several Quick Attacks. After this, Raichu used another Thunderbolt attack.
“RAAAAH!”
Gyarados, unable to handle anymore attacks, fell over and solidified, turning into a trophy.
“Rai! Rai-Raichu!”
“Uh,” Lucario said. “If you want you can speak in English.”
“Oh, we can?” Pikachu asked.
“Hi!” Raichu said. “I’m Raichu. And who are you guys?”
