Last time on NITNU, things looked bleak for the wounded Meta Knight as he fell from the skies of which the Halberd ruled. The Waddle Dee’s were prepared to finish off Meta Knight with the use of the Combo Cannon but to the surprise of all Dedede refused to allow it to happen. With the last of his strength Meta Knight was able to flap his bat like wings enough to help break his fall. Meta landed safely through some tree branches before hitting the ground. Soon Dedede made his way to the control room to power up the Combo Cannon. With the cannon fully charged Dedede fired the laser down at the unsuspecting land before putting it in ruins. As him in the Waddle Dee’s Laughed they charged it up for another shot. Is this the end for Popstar? Find out now on NITNU!!!
Chapter 20: Where’s Dedede?
Kirby and Geno flew through the clear skies of Popstar before finally reaching a giant Castle. Kirby was oh so familiar with the Castle of King Dedede.
Kirby: This is it! King Dedede’s Castle! I’m going to land this thing. Brace yourself for impact.
Geno: Right.
The warpstar descended towards the grounds that contained Dedede’s castle. The warpstar quickly flew itself right through one of the windows of Dedede’s castle. The glass window shattered as Geno and Kirby hopped of the warpstar. The warpstar quickly flew away.
Geno: So this is King Dedede’s Castle huh?
Kirby: Yeah.
Kirby and Geno took a long look at the room around them. It was a basic hallway. In the center of the room was a giant set of stairs that led to the next floor. Surrounding the set of stairs were many doors that led to other rooms. To the left and right of the stair case were three doors. The entire castle was covered from head to toe with pictures, paintings, and statues dedicated to Dedede.
Kirby: Ok let’s split up. You check out those three rooms over there and I’ll check the three rooms over there. Then if we find nothing we’ll check upstairs.
Geno: Sure. Ok let’s do this.
The two of them split up and went their separate ways. Geno opened one of the doors and looked inside. Inside was a bathroom complete with a luxurious shower, bath tub, working toilet. No Dedede though. Geno checked the next room. It appeared as though this room is where the statues of Dedede were be made out of stone. There were many Dedede Statues but no Dedede. Geno opened the last door to find a gym room where some of the Knuckle Joes and Waddle Dees were training. There was still no Dedede.
Meanwhile Kirby was checking his three rooms. Kirby approached the first door and went to open it. However it would not open. The door was locked. He jiggled the handle but it remained shut. He started banging on the door wildly but it wouldn’t open.
Kirby: That’s it! This Door is going DOWN!!!! I’m doing a B&E!!!

Kirby spit out a hammer from his belly and took it in hand.
Kirby: I don’t know if I can do this…
He looked at the door.
Kirby: I GOT IT!!! (BOOOM!!!)
Kirby took the hammer and swung it into the door as hard as he could. The door went flying off into the darkness of the room. Kirby took his hammer and swallowed it.
Kirby (as he enters the room): DA*N THAT FELT GOOD!!!
Inside was a very luxurious room filled with even more pictures of Dedede. Inside there was a bed made for a king and next to it was a small Nightstand. Kirby walk towards the bed looking for Dedede when he Noticed something out of the ordinary. He noticed a small magazine laying on the nightstand. It had on the cover a picture of a naked female penguin. The magazine was titled “Playguin” and under the picture a caption that red “Cold has NEVER been this hot.” Kirby’s eyes widen.
Kirby: WHAT THE F***?!?! WHAT IN GOD’S NAME IS THIS?! THAT DIRTY, HORNY, PERVERTED PENGUIN!!!
Kirby started taking a quick glance through the pages of the magazine to reveal more pictures of naked female Penguins. Kirby looked around to make sure Geno or anyone else wasn’t watching.
Kirby: IM KEEPING THIS!!!
Kirby swallowed the magazine. Kirby was about to leave when he noticed something under the magazine. It was a picture of King Dedede in his undies laying on his bed trying to look sexy. The picture read “I’m not fat, I’m just overly Sexy!”
Kirby: (
)OH…….MY…….GOD……
Kirby began to vomit and hard onto King Dedede’s bed. Kirby was sickened.
Kirby: I will NEVER be able to unsee this. I have been scarred for life.
Kirby ran out of the room before he had a chance to see anything even more disturbing. Kirby entered the second door to find a complete kitchen used to feed King Dedede’s ever lasting hunger. No Dedede though. Kirby left and checked the final room to find a full dining room large enough to sit Dedede and the whole Waddle Dee Army. Still no Dedede though.
Soon Kirby and Geno joined back up right in front of the Stairs.
Geno: Did you find him?
Kirby: Nope! Did you?
Geno: Nope. Maybe he’s upstairs?
Kirby: Maybe. Let’s go check.
They ran up the stairs and went though a set of doors. They were now in a long narrow hallway that leads to Dedede’s throne room. They walk down the hallway as they saw even more paintings of King Dedede. Along the way they saw a door on the side of the hallway.
Kirby: That leads to Dedede’s Arena. Let’s check.
They entered the arena and searched every bit of the room but Dedede was nowhere to be found. They left the arena and continued down the hallway till the came to a giant set of doors with Dedede shaped door knobs. They pushed open the doors as they began to search his throne room for Dedede. Dedede’s Throne room was gigantic. It was covered completely in Statues and Paintings of himself. At the end of room Was a giant throne were Dedede sat. A red carpet was seen on the floor from the entrance to the throne. Kirby and Geno searched the throne room knowing he just had to be here. They continued to search but sadly he was nowhere to be found. Kirby and Geno looked at each other.
Kirby: Hmmm this whole castle is empty. And Dedede isn’t here either.
Geno: What should we do now?
Suddenly from out of nowhere Kirby and Geno heard the brief sound of a massive explosion from the distance. They rushed to the throne room’s windows and looked outside to see the land get blasted by a powerful beam of energy. Kirby then saw the Halberd as the pieces of the puzzle were now coming together.
Geno: I’m assuming Dedede is behind this.
Kirby: THAT FIEND!! He’s using the cannon from the Halberd to spread destruction through the entire land. He won’t get away with this! This I Swear!
Kirby called his warpstar to him and it came bursting through the window. Geno and Kirby got on as they took off for the Halberd. Faster and faster they flew as the destruction roared louder from the halberd. The Halberd continue to fly to new sections of land as the warpstar continued to follow. Soon another beam was fired at the land creating shockwaves throughout the land. Soon another section of land was in ruins as Dedede Laughed. The warpstar finally had caught up with the Halberd as the quickly landed onboard. The warpstar flew away as Geno and Kirby made their first few steps on Board. Dedede was just standing there on the main deck a distance away from Kirby and Geno. Dedede laughed.
Dedede: Wha ha haaaa haaaaaa! So you made it huh? I knew you would show up to try and ruin my fun Kirby! You ALWAYS Do!!!
Kirby: You bet we showed up! Now you better stop this destruction NOW or you will be sorry!
Dedede: Why don’t you try and make me?
Geno: I’d thought you’d NEVER ask! Let’s get him Kirby!
Dedede stood confidently as both Geno and Kirby Charged in after him. The battle has begun.
