Chapter 18: Halberd Hi-Jack

It was a quiet scene on the islands of Nowhere Islands as everything within a near shot was left in absolute ruin. All that gave the island beauty was none gone along with the citizens of it. Tazmilly Village, Sunshine Forest, and everywhere else was reduced to nothing but a burning wasteland. Just north of the burning Tazmilly Village was a dark and gloomy cemetery where all the victims were laid to rest. There were tombstones as far as the eye could see in the cemetery. Suddenly one of the tombstones began to move out of place revealing a small passage way leading to the underground Highway. Out of the passage came a little boy with a striped shirt and blonde hair. This boy was none other than Lucas. Lucas began to walk through the burning Tazmilly Village as he looked at all the death and destruction that surrounded him. He began to cry while trying to remain strong.
Lucas: How could it have come to this? Everyone I ever cared for, everything thing I ever cherished, it’s all gone!!! My family, my friends, their all dead! The beautiful home of nowhere islands in a flaming ruins! Claus…… my brother…. I wish you were still alive to help me through this one… I was so sure that I, Kumatora, Boney, and Duster had taken care of it all 3 years ago, but I was wrong. Now thing are worse then ever… Porky and his minions are now free to cause destruction as all the citizens are brainwashed! I have to stop this madness!
Lucas began to think of what he could do to stop any more destruction. He could only think of one possible option.
Lucas: I’ve got it. I’m pretty sure Dr. Andonuts has been hard at work creating devices and machines for Porky. If I’m lucky, I might just find some sort of time machine. With it I can travel back 1000 years in the past and prevent this mess from ever happening. That’s assuming that the Chimera Lab hasn’t been destroyed already!!
Lucas walk to the northern part of Tazmilly Village and began walking through a tunnel along the train tracks. Lucas was cautious to not to get to close to the flames along the pathway.
Popstar
Present Day
Geno and Kirby soared through the air on Kirby’s Warpstar looking for any trace of Dedede. They soon flew over the forest and stopped.
Kirby: Hey Geno! Maybe Dedede is in the forest. We should check it out.
Geno: Agreed!
The warpstar quickly flew down through several forest branches to reach the ground. Geno was getting poked constantly by branches as he covered up. The duo jumped of the warpstar as they approached the glistening green grass that covered the ground. The landed on the ground and started to search for clues to where Dedede was. Kirby was confused knowing that these woods were usually covered in enemies. They ran through the endless forest through twigs thorns and leaves in hopes to find information. The two soon found themselves carefully maneuvering through a giant collection of bushes. They struggled to get through but they managed. When they got out of the bushes they found something very horrible to have to see. The looked around to find a whole section of the forest destroyed. There were enemies covered in blood. Trees were completely snapped in half. Kirby and Geno looked at each other and then the ruins again.
Geno: This is horrible. Who could’ve done this?
Kirby: My money is on Dedede. If he was turned evil and became stronger like you said, then he probably felt the need to destroy the nearest thing. In this case the forest paid the price.
Kirby then heard a familiar voice in the distance. Kirby and Geno ventured further into the ruined part of the forest to find a small oak tree still standing completely unharmed. It was Whispy Wood. Kirby approached Whispy and began to speak.
Whispy: Who dare enters my woods?! SPEAK!
Kirby: It’s me Kirby! And this here is Geno!
Whispy: You are in forbidden territory! These Are MY woods and I wont let ANYMORE harm be dealt to it. Leave now or I’ll surely put an end to you both!!!
Kirby: We’re just here in need of a little help. If you could help us we would be on our way.
Whispy: ME?! HELP YOU?! You’ve got some nerve. I’ve warned you to leave and now you DIE!

Whispy tried to attack the two with his roots which came from underneath the ground but Kirby and Geno jumped out of the way. Whispy shook his branches as three apples fell down towards the duo. Once again they move aside. Kirby sucked up the three apples and shot them all back at Whispy. Whispy got mad as he shot multiple shots of Sap at the duo. Kirby and Geno were too fast as they yet again side step the attack. More apples rained down upon Kirby but Kirby managed to suck them up like a vacuum. Kirby shot the apples back at Whispy and he was beaten. Kirby smiled and then spoke.
Kirby: So now that we cleared the fact that I’m better then you tell us what happened and where is King Dedede?
Whispy: Alright I’ll tell you. I overheard Dedede say something about going to his castle to collect the troops of his Waddle Dee Army. Apparently he came through here in left it a total mess.
Kirby: You hear that Geno? To Dedede’s Castle!!!
Kirby and Geno got on and took a direct course to King Dedede’s sacred castle. Meanwhile within the mountainous plains, King Dedede and his minions found the location to Meta Knight Secret Hanger. Inside this hanger is where he kept his battleship, The Halberd. Dedede looked at the large steel doors leading inside the hanger.
Dedede: So this is it huh? Meta Knight’s Halberd? Well come on my Waddle Dee! We’re busting down this door!
Dedede and his Waddle Dee began ramming the steel door in unison until finally the door busted right open. The doors flung open slamming against the walls. With the entrance opened they entered the dark hanger. Dedede saw the Halberd when he heard a voice. It was Meta Knight.
Meta Knight: What are you doing in my hanger Penguin?
Meta Knight used his dimensional cape to appear before Dedede.
Dedede: We’re here for the Halberd. And we’ll take it by force if need.
At this point Dedede’s Waddle Dee army was backing him up. Meta Knight laughed as he let out a whistle. Suddenly all of Meta Knight’s Meta Warriors were backing him up.
Dedede: So it’s a fight I see? WHA HAH A HA Just try! They may be small but I’ve taught them all they need to know about fighting!
Meta Knight raised his sword as he began to speak.
Meta Knight (screams): THIS IS SPARTA!!!!!!!
At that instant all of the Meta Warriors and Waddle Dees clashed. As the Armies clashed Dedede tried to make a quick run for the Halberd but was slashed away by Meta Knight. The Meta Warriors tried to attack with Axes and maces but were easily dodge by the Waddle Dees. The warriors got repeativly punched and kicked in the face and had their own weapons used against them. Within minutes the Meta Warriors were beaten down as Dedede gave his troops new orders.
Dedede: Waddle Dees!! Start up the ship!!!
The Waddle Dee’s swarmed the Halberd and began to board it. Meta Knight Tried to stop it but Dedede got in his way with his hammer. Soon the entire army of waddle Dees boarded the ship and made their way into the control room. They powered up the ship and quickly took off. The Halberd flew out of the hanger. Dedede got annoyed at the stupidity of his minions.
Dedede: YOU IDIOTS!! I SAID START UP THE SHIP NOT TAKE OFF!!!

Dedede looked like he was beaten. Meta Knight looked at Dedede and laughed.
Meta Knight: I warned you not to mess with me Dedede. NOW YOU DIE!
Meta Knight took his sword and quickly stabbed Dedede in the stomach. Dedede began to bleed as he screamed in pain.
Dedede: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Suddenly something happened within Dedede. His body started to expel a dark black aura. Dedede’s body began to be powered by this darkness as his wounds started to heal. The Dark Aura became stronger and stronger and soon Dedede was on his feet again stronger then ever.
Dedede: WHA HA HAHA! This isn’t over yet!!
Meta Knight: That’s what you think!

Meta Knight fell hard to the ground knowing he was beat.
Meta Knight: Nooo…….this…….cant……..be……

Dedede: It’s time I put an end to you!!!
Dedede dragged Meta Knight to the edge of the flying Halberd. With Meta Knight in hand, Dedede used his giant hammer and smacked him right of the edge. Meta Knight was in a defenseless state as he was sent falling through the air to the gruesome ground bellow. Dedede watched as Meta Knight fell to his death and laughed.
Dedede: WHA HAH HA HA HA!!!
