Chapter Four: The Battle of Peach Castle
As the sun began to set on the Mushroom Kingdom, a devious plan was about to unfold. Bowser, the Koopa King laughed menacingly as he boarded the Clown Car.
Bowser: “Kamek, our plan is coming together.”
Kamek: “No offence your evilness, but these plans of yours….well….oh heck, I’ll be blunt about it. They suck and they never work! There, I’ve said it!”
Bowser: “Sometimes I wonder why I keep you around”
Kamek: (mumbling to self) “Because you’re too stupid to function without me”
Bowser: “WHAT did you say?”
Kamek: “Nothing sire….absolutely nothing”
Bowser: “Anyway, this time is different Kamek, My son is taking the front lines with the largest group of goombas, koopas, and hammer bros I could muster. Then you will take the squadron of koopa paratroopas to air raid the castle. I will then crash in from above and kidnap the princess.”
Kamek: “Why exactly are we kidnapping the princess…again?!?”
Bowser: “umm….i’m not really sure..i…SHUT UP I’m the ruler here and what I say goes. All troops prepare for battle. Tonight I will make the Mario bros pay!”
Kamek: “Here’s an idea, why don’t we just destroy the Mario Bros once and for all?”
Bowser: “…Yes…I like that plan better. MY KOOPA PACK, CHANGE OF PLAN! TONIGHT WE DESTORY MARIO AND LUIGI!”
At those words, Bowser’s entire evil hoard roared a battle cry. They began stomping their feet, and the hammer bros began pounding the ground with their hammers. Bowser Jr. picked up his paintbrush and put on his mask. He began to shine and turned into shadow Mario.
Bowser Jr.: “TO WAR!!”

Mario sat in complete boredom in Peach Castle. He, Peach, and Luigi were subdued to yet another one of Professor E Gadd’s lectures. This time the topic was ghosts, poltergeists, and boos. Peach was on the edge of her seat listening, Luigi was crouched down shivering with the remembrance of those ghastly beings. Half asleep, Mario looked out the window at the group of toads playing in the courtyard. To be anywhere but here would be wonderful. Even Bowser’s castle would be better than here listening to this bird brain.
E. Gadd: “So, in conclusion, these beings can be things of wonder.
Mario: “Thank God that’s over…now we can get on with business” (Luigi chuckled)
Peach: “Mario that was rude. Thank you very much for your presentation!”
E. Gadd: “My next one will be on Goombas.”
Mario: (rolls his eyes) “oh boy, I can’t wait.”
As the professor shuffled out of the room, Mario hopped off his chair and went to look out the western window. It had been 6 months since he had last seen Yoshi. He had let Yoshi go back home to Yoshi Island. He knew it wasn’t right for him to be away from his family and home, but he wished he wouldn’t be gone quite so long. Just then, a toad entered the room and announced that dinner would be served in 5 minutes and to make their way to the dining hall. He could hear Luigi’s stomach grumble as he listened to the toad. In fact, he himself had been hungry for quite some time. As the three of them made their way down to the dining room, the sky began to darken.
Luigi: “That’s funny…it’s getting awfully dark.”
Mario: “Um..it’s sunset there genius!”
Luigi: “WOW I wasn’t aware of that Mr. Nintendo. I’m just saying, it’s getting darker faster today.”
Mario ignored this and headed on to the dining hall. He couldn’t help shake the fact that Luigi was right. They sat down, several toads brought out a feast big enough for an army. As they sat eating their dinner, Mario spotted the apples. Again his thoughts returned to Yoshi. He was probably running around with all his kin eating apples like these right now. He could almost hear them running…running loudly. It wasn’t his imagination, something really was running nearby. He wasn’t the only one who heard this ruckus. All three of them leaped out of their chairs and looked out the window. A large army of goombas, koopas, and hammer bros were running towards them, lead by someone who looked like Mario. From above, hoards of koopa paratroopas were diving towards Peach Castle lead by Kamek. Mario squinted into the distance to see the silloette of the Clown Car.
Mario: “Not again!”
Mario rushed towards a closet in the hallway and carried back a box of items. In it were brightly colored mushrooms, golden stars, a cape, and a raccoon tail. Mario grabbed three mushrooms, two golden stars, and the cape. Luigi followed but grabbed the raccoon tail.
Peach :”Mario, what is all this?”
Mario: “Well...i’ve been collecting items for times like this. Usually it takes several hours to defeat all of them, but if we use all these items, then we should decrease the time to 30 min at the longest.”
Luigi: “That’s brilliant bro!”
They told the toads to surround Peach and they tore out the door. Once out there, they stood facing the mass of enemies.
Mario: “You ready for this luigi?”
Luigi: “Lets-a-go!”
Mario put on the cape as Luigi put on the raccoon tail. As they did, Luigi grew a raccoon tail and a hat appeared on his head. They both ate two of the mushrooms and grew to an immense 25 feet tall. They towered over the koopa pack. As the enemies drew closer, they both shot fireballs at the oncoming crowd. Due to their size, the fireballs were large enough to take out 20 koopas at once. They jumped into the air to hit the koopa paratroopas, and then slammed down on the goombas. The paratroopas began to swarm Mario and Luigi like bees. Mario performed a Tornado attack to send most of them flying in the distance. Luigi did a sliding kick to take out a mass of koopas. They continued beating the koopa pack till a large group of koopas pulling cannons appeared. They each shot bullet bills at the duo. The jumped into the air and slammed down on the bullets. The impact killed several goombas and koopas below. Mario knew their time with the mushrooms would be limited, so he informed luigi to focus their fireballs on the cannons. As they shot fireballs, the cannons exploded taking out even more enemies. Then disaster, as more enemies appeared. Their mushrooms wore off. They both ate the remaining mushroom to grow in size then took out a golden star. At this point they began to run around the area instantly knocking away all enemies in their path. As the invincibility and mushroom wore off, they were down to a pack of 20 enemies, which they quickly eliminated.
After disposing of those enemies, Mario knew something wasn’t right. Where were Kamek, Bowser Jr., and Bowser? They rushed back inside to find Princess Peach still protected by her Toads.
Peach: “You won!”
Mario: “Not quite…TOADS surround the area, search for anyone who shouldn’t be here…I know they are hiding somewhere. Seal this room!”
The toads ran in all directions, barring the doors, shutting the windows with iron curtains and looking scared. Just then, paint appeared on the main door, Shadow Mario appeared through the portal. His visage faded away as Bowser Jr. took off his mask.
Bowser Jr.: “You thought you could get away with this didn’t you?”
As he spoke, he held miniature cannon. He pointed it toward one of the iron windows and blasted a small bullet bill towards it. It exploded with surprising intensity. He then pointed it toward the door and blasted it away. Kamek flew through the window and cast a spell on the toads to immobilize them.
Kamek.: “Impressive little gadget isn’t it? It’s a new micro Bill. It has all the intensity of a giant bullet bill, but at a 10th of the size.”
Bowser Jr.: “I guess the plan is working out as dad thought isn’t it? OH DAD!!”
Bowser’s Clown Car crashed through the ceiling and Bowser jumped out of it to land in front of Mario.
Bowser: “MUAHAHA! For years I’ve waited for this moment. Many years have you foiled my plans, but now I have you all in my grasp. Now hand over the princess!”
Kamek: (Smacks forehead) “NO NO NO…don’t you remember our conversation from earlier?”
Bowser: “OH YEAH…sorry…let’s start that last sentence over. Tonight, Mario, you and your brother die! You have no help left. Your precious Yoshi is far away, and you have no tactics left.”
Mario: “That’s where you’re wrong!”
Mario and Luigi both jumped into the air and landed on separate ledges. Just then, Mario pulled out the F.L.U.D.D. and Luigi pulled out the Poltergeist 1000. Bowser screamed with rage, Bowser Jr. stared at the two of them, and Kamek flew casting spells. Luigi turned on the Poltergeist 1000 and began to vacuum up Kamek. Mario slammed down on the ground to face Bowser. Bowser inhaled and shot out a stream of fire at Mario. Mario instantly began to douse the flame with the Water of his F.L.U.D.D. Kamek shot magic at Luigi, but it only got sucked up by the Poltergeist 1000. Kamek, deciding that this plan wasn’t working, turned to fly away, but the vacuum had him trapped. He inched closer and closer to the Poltergeist as he tried to fly away until suddenly, Kamek was sucked into the tank. Since the wizard was temporarily disposed of, the spell he cast on the toads lifted. Bowser and Mario were still in a power lock of fire and water. Bowser Jr. began to put back on his mask, but the swarm or toads rushed on him and pulled away his mask. They held him down as Peach began tossing turnips at him.
Bowser Jr. “CUT IT OUT!”
As Mario ran out of water, Bowser’s breath gave way. Mario tossed aside the F.L.U.D.D and ran towards bowser, who did the same. They connected. Punching and kicking, Mario did his best to avoid Bowser’s breath, horns, and claws. Kamek blasted out of the pack of the Poltergeist 1000 and zoomed back to join the fray when something happened that they didn’t expect.
They heard a small cough and a plea for help. This caught them all by surprise. Everyone stopped fighting to face the blasted doorway. It was a small toad. He looked beaten and weary. He spoke in a weak voice.
Toad: “Help…..mario…….evil stranger attacked….geno”
Peach: “what are you trying to tell us little toad”
Just then his energy gave away and he collapsed. What happened to this poor toad? Who is this evil stranger. Why is Geno involved? Mario’s mind was racing as he observed the unconscious toad.
Mario: “Take him to my quarters…he needs rest. Then he should be able to tell us what’s going on”
Chapter 5: The Rescue Mission
Geno hovered over the planet of Pop Star. His anger at his betrayal intensified with every second he stared at it. As he was staring, his mind began to race. The goodness inside of him was fighting the evil. He thought he should run while he had the chance and tell Mario. NO he must destroy this planet and all in it. He tried to focus on Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach. Even the thought of Bowser was bringing him to his senses. He felt contaminated. The evil inside of him was as toxic venom. He must do something to stop it. Suddenly, he felt a pain he had never experienced before. The spell that the Destroyer had cast on him was plunging his good soul deeper into darkness with the pain. He screamed then was silent. As he lifted his eyes, the evil took over him once more. Shooting another blast down at Pop Star, he remembered his betrayal, and knew what he must do. He blasted energy straight upward to signal a beacon to his master…Pop Star would fall.
Miles away, The Destroyer and Ridley were flying through space. Ridley, now thirsting to test his new power was blasting asteroids as they flew.
Destroyer: “Ridley, save your energy. We are going to destroy planets. No need wasting your power when there is no one to kill.”
Ridley growled in obedience as he flew silently beside his master. Suddenly, they both saw a beacon of energy appear. Ridley looked at his master for an explanation.
Destroyer: “OH…that’s Geno. He is another servant like you. He must be in need of assistance. Lets move hastily…..we fly to a world’s demise!”

Fox paced back and forth in his quarters as the Great Fox sped through space toward Kirby. What could be happening on Pop Star? His mind raced as fast as the ship was moving.
In the Bridge, Falco, Slippy, and Peppy were discussing the situation.
Slippy: “Do you guys have any clue what this could mean?”
Falco: “It’s probably a malfunction with those stupid satellites. Or someone just has a lot of gas!” (Slippy laughed)
Peppy: “You guys need to grow up some time. This might be something serious.”
Falco: “OH like last time when we rushed over to Sector 4 because of the Unidentified Flying Rock?!?” (Slippy busted with laughter at this point)
Peppy: “I told you before that wasn’t my fault. Those Deoxys likes to run around out here and their energy can mess up satellite signals sometimes. Especially when they use their auras.”
Slippy: “You do have to admit it was hilarious, right Falco?”
Falco: “Yeah…..it was.”
Krystal sat in her quarters very angrily. She opened up her diary and began to write.
Dear Diary:
Today was another great disappointment in the daily life that is this hell. Why oh why did I fall in love with Fox. If he hadn’t have shown up on the Dinosaur planet, I wouldn’t be stuck out here in space with his stupid roommates. Tonight was unforgivable. We were finally having an evening by ourselves when the old rabbit interrupts us. BIG SURPRISE! I should have seen it coming. Falco is so arrogant. Making that comment about my outfit..THE NERVE! Now we are speeding through space to some planet to help another one of Fox’s Friends. As long as this one doesn’t join the crew it might not be THAT bad. Thanks for listening, diary.
Krystal.
She closed the book and locked it in an overhead compartment. She felt a little better now that she had written some frustration into that book. She decided to change into her uniform and see if Fox had learned anything more about the disturbances.

As Geno looked out to space, he caught sight of his master. As the Destroyer and Ridley approached, Geno looked confused.
Geno: “Master, what is this thing?” (Ridley roared with anger)
Destroyer: “This is Ridley. He is another minion of mine. I raised him from the grave to help us destroy these worlds. He has great evil and power in him.”
Geno: “Sounds wonderful master.”
Destroyer: “Why have you called me here?”
Geno: “This planet must be destroyed. Their king tried to destroy me. One citizen tried to escape and call for backup. They betrayed me. They must pay.”
Destroyer: “Very good, Geno. It’s been a few days since I’ve destroyed a planet. Ridley, Geno, let’s all three blast this world to oblivion as a warning to other worlds not to mess with our power”
Ridley roared with excitement, as Geno laughed. They faced the planet ready to strike.

Krystal walked down the hallway in the Great fox to Fox’s quarters where she found him sill pacing back and forth.
Krystal: “Hey sweetie. Don’t be so worried. It’s probably just another satellite malfunction like last time.”
Fox: I hope so. Kirby is a good friend. I don’t want anything to happen to him. Good news though, we are almost there. Let’s head to the Bridge.”
Krystal: “Do you ever think we’ll have a normal life? You promised me it wouldn’t be wild goose chases and danger all the time. That’s all that’s been happening since I got on this ship.”
Fox: “I promise it will be soon. If this is another false alarm, we’ll take a long vacation just the two of us, ok?”
Krystal: “That sounds nice!”
They walked out of his quarters and on into the bridge where Falco was making jokes. Slippy laughed, and Peppy tried to ignore them.
Fox: “Falco, Slippy, SHUT UP! We’re almost there. Peppy, can you use the telescoping lens to see if there is anything around Pop Star?”
Peppy: “Sure thing, Fox!”
As the screen turned on, they saw three figures floating in space. The figures were a dragon, what seemed to be a boy, and a cloaked figure. The dragon shot a beam of energy from his mouth as the two other shot a blast of energy from their hands toward Pop Star. They effect was catastrophic. A Large section of Pop Star was pulverized.
Fox: “HOLY ****! Team Star Fox to your stations! Peppy, we’ll distract the three of them while you land on the planet from the other side. Scan the planet for Kirby. His specs are in the computer. Find him and anyone else and get them out of here. I doubt we’ll be able to hold that type of power for long”
Peppy nodded his head as all of the Star Fox team ran to their Arwings. They jumped in the pilot’s seat and started their engines. As soon as the hanger door opened enough, they zoomed out into space and aimed straight for the figured.
Slippy: “Fox…take a look at that power reading. I’m not sure we can take him”
Falco: “I don’t care about his power level. There are two missiles on this thing that are going right up his…”
Fox: “Just be careful out there…don’t get killed”
They zoomed towards the figures and began to fire their lasers. Surprised by this attack, the three scattered to get a better look at their attackers. The Star Fox team stopped as Fox tried to reason with these strangers. He looked at them and immediately recognized Ridley. He knew nothing good would come of his inclusion. He looked at the small figure. It was a puppet. He vaguely remembered Mario speaking of him. Why would Geno be here if he was good? His attention was then focused on the cloaked figure. He opened his air waves to communicate.
Fox: “My name is Fox McCloud, Leader of the Star Fox Team. We were alerted to a disturbance in the area. Who are you?
Destroyer: “I am the demise of all creatures. I am the evil that destroys planets. You can simply call me The Destroyer.”
Fox: “Why are you here?”
Destroyer: “To kill each and everyone one of you, starting with this pathetic planet. (He blasted another shot of energy that pulverized another part of Pop Star.) Geno, Ridley, Go explore the world. I do not need your assistance at this time. These pawns are mine!”
As Geno and Ridley used their dark powers to disappear, The Destroyer shot blasts of energy at the Arwings. They scattered and began to blast lasers at the destroyer. The battle had begun.

Peppy, having followed Fox’s Orders took advantage of the distraction and had entered Pop Star’s atmosphere, or what was left of it. He was typing away at the computer to scan for Kirby. He sped through the atmosphere in a desperate attempt to find Kirby. Suddenly, the computer began to buzz as the computer proclaimed that the subject had been found. Peppy brought up a visual to find Metaknight hauling an unconscious Kirby on his shoulders. He was headed toward a wooded field where several Waddle Dees were watching. MK got to the edge of the forest and put Kirby down. Doing so, he addressed the Waddle Dees.
MK: “Did you bring the King here like I asked?”
Waddle Dee: “Yes sir. He is still unconscious, but he is safe here. Till this part of the world is destroyed.”
MK: “HMPH….A lot of good this is doing us. We might as well be in the middle of an open field with targets on our heads.
As he said this, he heard the noise of a ship. He turned around with sword ready to see the Great Fox landing. The ramp was lowered and Peppy came running out.
Peppy: “YOU THERE! Where is Kirby?”
MK: “You blind? Right here, out cold like our king.”
Peppy: “OH well…I’m Peppy of the Star Fox Team. Fox McCloud has sent me here to get you all out of this planet. It is about to be destroyed.”
MK: “Ya think? Here help me drag Kirby inside. Waddle Dees, bring the King in here as well.”
Peppy: “Are you always this nice?”
MK: “Pretty much….got a problem with it?”

As the battle over Pop Star waged on, The Destroyer flew around at break-neck speeds blasting energy at the Arwings. Barely keeping up, Fox, Falco, Krystal, and Slippy were shooting lasers and missiles at the destroyer. Their attack was not working. As they were quickly running out of fuel and ammunition, they broke free and tried a new strategy. The Destroyer stopped in his tracks and began to laugh. Quickly the Arwings surrounded him shooting at him. The Destroyer conjured up a shield which sent the lasers ricocheting back at the Arwings.
Destroyer: “NOW I WILL FINISH IT!”
He began to spin on the spot, shooting a barrage of energy which struck all of the ships. Suddenly, he stopped, concentrated his energy, and created an explosion. The four Arwings were sent flying at the speed of light in opposite directions. Slippy’s Arwing was plummeting straight for Pop Star. Knowing he would surely die, he cried out for help, but the others were sent out of radio distance. He had no clue where they would end up. Prepared to face his demise, he closed his eyes ready for the impact. Suddenly he heard a familiar voice over his intercom.
Peppy: “YOU IDIOT, EJECT YOURSELF BEFORE YOU DIE!”
Trusting what he heard, Slippy hit the eject button on the dashboard of the Arwing. His parachute opened as he witnessed his beloved ship crash onto the ground. He looked around to see the Great Fox speeding his way with the hanger door open. Metaknight stood in the door and threw out a rope to him. He grabbed on and pulling himself inside. As the hanger doors closed he saw a strange sight. There were several small Waddle Dees, Metaknight, and an unconscious King Dedede and Kirby. Slippy ran to the bridge to help Peppy. They engaged the ship’s emergency thrusters. As they were shot from the atmosphere, Metaknight looked out the window as the Destroyer threw a huge blast of energy at Pop Star. It made contact with the planet and exploded. Pop Star had been destroyed.

As they were sent flying in separate directions, Fox, Falco, and Krystal wondered what would happen to them. They wondered if they were going to die. Each of them looked ahead as a different planet approached that they were going to crash into. The Star Fox team had been broken up across the galaxy.

Mario: “You ready for this luigi?”
Luigi: “Lets-a-go!”
Mario put on the cape as Luigi put on the raccoon tail. As they did, Luigi grew a raccoon tail and a hat appeared on his head. They both ate two of the mushrooms and grew to an immense 25 feet tall. They towered over the koopa pack. As the enemies drew closer, they both shot fireballs at the oncoming crowd. Due to their size, the fireballs were large enough to take out 20 koopas at once. They jumped into the air to hit the koopa paratroopas, and then slammed down on the goombas. The paratroopas began to swarm Mario and Luigi like bees. Mario performed a Tornado attack to send most of them flying in the distance. Luigi did a sliding kick to take out a mass of koopas. They continued beating the koopa pack till a large group of koopas pulling cannons appeared. They each shot bullet bills at the duo. The jumped into the air and slammed down on the bullets. The impact killed several goombas and koopas below. Mario knew their time with the mushrooms would be limited, so he informed luigi to focus their fireballs on the cannons. As they shot fireballs, the cannons exploded taking out even more enemies. Then disaster, as more enemies appeared. Their mushrooms wore off. They both ate the remaining mushroom to grow in size then took out a golden star. At this point they began to run around the area instantly knocking away all enemies in their path. As the invincibility and mushroom wore off, they were down to a pack of 20 enemies, which they quickly eliminated.
After disposing of those enemies, Mario knew something wasn’t right. Where were Kamek, Bowser Jr., and Bowser? They rushed back inside to find Princess Peach still protected by her Toads.
Peach: “You won!”
Mario: “Not quite…TOADS surround the area, search for anyone who shouldn’t be here…I know they are hiding somewhere. Seal this room!”
The toads ran in all directions, barring the doors, shutting the windows with iron curtains and looking scared. Just then, paint appeared on the main door, Shadow Mario appeared through the portal. His visage faded away as Bowser Jr. took off his mask.
Bowser Jr.: “You thought you could get away with this didn’t you?”
As he spoke, he held miniature cannon. He pointed it toward one of the iron windows and blasted a small bullet bill towards it. It exploded with surprising intensity. He then pointed it toward the door and blasted it away. Kamek flew through the window and cast a spell on the toads to immobilize them.
Kamek.: “Impressive little gadget isn’t it? It’s a new micro Bill. It has all the intensity of a giant bullet bill, but at a 10th of the size.”
Bowser Jr.: “I guess the plan is working out as dad thought isn’t it? OH DAD!!”
Bowser’s Clown Car crashed through the ceiling and Bowser jumped out of it to land in front of Mario.
Bowser: “MUAHAHA! For years I’ve waited for this moment. Many years have you foiled my plans, but now I have you all in my grasp. Now hand over the princess!”
Kamek: (Smacks forehead) “NO NO NO…don’t you remember our conversation from earlier?”
Bowser: “OH YEAH…sorry…let’s start that last sentence over. Tonight, Mario, you and your brother die! You have no help left. Your precious Yoshi is far away, and you have no tactics left.”
Mario: “That’s where you’re wrong!”
Mario and Luigi both jumped into the air and landed on separate ledges. Just then, Mario pulled out the F.L.U.D.D. and Luigi pulled out the Poltergeist 1000. Bowser screamed with rage, Bowser Jr. stared at the two of them, and Kamek flew casting spells. Luigi turned on the Poltergeist 1000 and began to vacuum up Kamek. Mario slammed down on the ground to face Bowser. Bowser inhaled and shot out a stream of fire at Mario. Mario instantly began to douse the flame with the Water of his F.L.U.D.D. Kamek shot magic at Luigi, but it only got sucked up by the Poltergeist 1000. Kamek, deciding that this plan wasn’t working, turned to fly away, but the vacuum had him trapped. He inched closer and closer to the Poltergeist as he tried to fly away until suddenly, Kamek was sucked into the tank. Since the wizard was temporarily disposed of, the spell he cast on the toads lifted. Bowser and Mario were still in a power lock of fire and water. Bowser Jr. began to put back on his mask, but the swarm or toads rushed on him and pulled away his mask. They held him down as Peach began tossing turnips at him.
Bowser Jr. “CUT IT OUT!”
As Mario ran out of water, Bowser’s breath gave way. Mario tossed aside the F.L.U.D.D and ran towards bowser, who did the same. They connected. Punching and kicking, Mario did his best to avoid Bowser’s breath, horns, and claws. Kamek blasted out of the pack of the Poltergeist 1000 and zoomed back to join the fray when something happened that they didn’t expect.
They heard a small cough and a plea for help. This caught them all by surprise. Everyone stopped fighting to face the blasted doorway. It was a small toad. He looked beaten and weary. He spoke in a weak voice.
Toad: “Help…..mario…….evil stranger attacked….geno”
Peach: “what are you trying to tell us little toad”
Just then his energy gave away and he collapsed. What happened to this poor toad? Who is this evil stranger. Why is Geno involved? Mario’s mind was racing as he observed the unconscious toad.
Mario: “Take him to my quarters…he needs rest. Then he should be able to tell us what’s going on”
Chapter 5: The Rescue Mission
Geno hovered over the planet of Pop Star. His anger at his betrayal intensified with every second he stared at it. As he was staring, his mind began to race. The goodness inside of him was fighting the evil. He thought he should run while he had the chance and tell Mario. NO he must destroy this planet and all in it. He tried to focus on Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach. Even the thought of Bowser was bringing him to his senses. He felt contaminated. The evil inside of him was as toxic venom. He must do something to stop it. Suddenly, he felt a pain he had never experienced before. The spell that the Destroyer had cast on him was plunging his good soul deeper into darkness with the pain. He screamed then was silent. As he lifted his eyes, the evil took over him once more. Shooting another blast down at Pop Star, he remembered his betrayal, and knew what he must do. He blasted energy straight upward to signal a beacon to his master…Pop Star would fall.
Miles away, The Destroyer and Ridley were flying through space. Ridley, now thirsting to test his new power was blasting asteroids as they flew.
Destroyer: “Ridley, save your energy. We are going to destroy planets. No need wasting your power when there is no one to kill.”
Ridley growled in obedience as he flew silently beside his master. Suddenly, they both saw a beacon of energy appear. Ridley looked at his master for an explanation.
Destroyer: “OH…that’s Geno. He is another servant like you. He must be in need of assistance. Lets move hastily…..we fly to a world’s demise!”

Fox paced back and forth in his quarters as the Great Fox sped through space toward Kirby. What could be happening on Pop Star? His mind raced as fast as the ship was moving.
In the Bridge, Falco, Slippy, and Peppy were discussing the situation.
Slippy: “Do you guys have any clue what this could mean?”
Falco: “It’s probably a malfunction with those stupid satellites. Or someone just has a lot of gas!” (Slippy laughed)
Peppy: “You guys need to grow up some time. This might be something serious.”
Falco: “OH like last time when we rushed over to Sector 4 because of the Unidentified Flying Rock?!?” (Slippy busted with laughter at this point)
Peppy: “I told you before that wasn’t my fault. Those Deoxys likes to run around out here and their energy can mess up satellite signals sometimes. Especially when they use their auras.”
Slippy: “You do have to admit it was hilarious, right Falco?”
Falco: “Yeah…..it was.”
Krystal sat in her quarters very angrily. She opened up her diary and began to write.
Dear Diary:
Today was another great disappointment in the daily life that is this hell. Why oh why did I fall in love with Fox. If he hadn’t have shown up on the Dinosaur planet, I wouldn’t be stuck out here in space with his stupid roommates. Tonight was unforgivable. We were finally having an evening by ourselves when the old rabbit interrupts us. BIG SURPRISE! I should have seen it coming. Falco is so arrogant. Making that comment about my outfit..THE NERVE! Now we are speeding through space to some planet to help another one of Fox’s Friends. As long as this one doesn’t join the crew it might not be THAT bad. Thanks for listening, diary.
Krystal.
She closed the book and locked it in an overhead compartment. She felt a little better now that she had written some frustration into that book. She decided to change into her uniform and see if Fox had learned anything more about the disturbances.

As Geno looked out to space, he caught sight of his master. As the Destroyer and Ridley approached, Geno looked confused.
Geno: “Master, what is this thing?” (Ridley roared with anger)
Destroyer: “This is Ridley. He is another minion of mine. I raised him from the grave to help us destroy these worlds. He has great evil and power in him.”
Geno: “Sounds wonderful master.”
Destroyer: “Why have you called me here?”
Geno: “This planet must be destroyed. Their king tried to destroy me. One citizen tried to escape and call for backup. They betrayed me. They must pay.”
Destroyer: “Very good, Geno. It’s been a few days since I’ve destroyed a planet. Ridley, Geno, let’s all three blast this world to oblivion as a warning to other worlds not to mess with our power”
Ridley roared with excitement, as Geno laughed. They faced the planet ready to strike.

Krystal walked down the hallway in the Great fox to Fox’s quarters where she found him sill pacing back and forth.
Krystal: “Hey sweetie. Don’t be so worried. It’s probably just another satellite malfunction like last time.”
Fox: I hope so. Kirby is a good friend. I don’t want anything to happen to him. Good news though, we are almost there. Let’s head to the Bridge.”
Krystal: “Do you ever think we’ll have a normal life? You promised me it wouldn’t be wild goose chases and danger all the time. That’s all that’s been happening since I got on this ship.”
Fox: “I promise it will be soon. If this is another false alarm, we’ll take a long vacation just the two of us, ok?”
Krystal: “That sounds nice!”
They walked out of his quarters and on into the bridge where Falco was making jokes. Slippy laughed, and Peppy tried to ignore them.
Fox: “Falco, Slippy, SHUT UP! We’re almost there. Peppy, can you use the telescoping lens to see if there is anything around Pop Star?”
Peppy: “Sure thing, Fox!”
As the screen turned on, they saw three figures floating in space. The figures were a dragon, what seemed to be a boy, and a cloaked figure. The dragon shot a beam of energy from his mouth as the two other shot a blast of energy from their hands toward Pop Star. They effect was catastrophic. A Large section of Pop Star was pulverized.
Fox: “HOLY ****! Team Star Fox to your stations! Peppy, we’ll distract the three of them while you land on the planet from the other side. Scan the planet for Kirby. His specs are in the computer. Find him and anyone else and get them out of here. I doubt we’ll be able to hold that type of power for long”
Peppy nodded his head as all of the Star Fox team ran to their Arwings. They jumped in the pilot’s seat and started their engines. As soon as the hanger door opened enough, they zoomed out into space and aimed straight for the figured.
Slippy: “Fox…take a look at that power reading. I’m not sure we can take him”
Falco: “I don’t care about his power level. There are two missiles on this thing that are going right up his…”
Fox: “Just be careful out there…don’t get killed”
They zoomed towards the figures and began to fire their lasers. Surprised by this attack, the three scattered to get a better look at their attackers. The Star Fox team stopped as Fox tried to reason with these strangers. He looked at them and immediately recognized Ridley. He knew nothing good would come of his inclusion. He looked at the small figure. It was a puppet. He vaguely remembered Mario speaking of him. Why would Geno be here if he was good? His attention was then focused on the cloaked figure. He opened his air waves to communicate.
Fox: “My name is Fox McCloud, Leader of the Star Fox Team. We were alerted to a disturbance in the area. Who are you?
Destroyer: “I am the demise of all creatures. I am the evil that destroys planets. You can simply call me The Destroyer.”
Fox: “Why are you here?”
Destroyer: “To kill each and everyone one of you, starting with this pathetic planet. (He blasted another shot of energy that pulverized another part of Pop Star.) Geno, Ridley, Go explore the world. I do not need your assistance at this time. These pawns are mine!”
As Geno and Ridley used their dark powers to disappear, The Destroyer shot blasts of energy at the Arwings. They scattered and began to blast lasers at the destroyer. The battle had begun.

Peppy, having followed Fox’s Orders took advantage of the distraction and had entered Pop Star’s atmosphere, or what was left of it. He was typing away at the computer to scan for Kirby. He sped through the atmosphere in a desperate attempt to find Kirby. Suddenly, the computer began to buzz as the computer proclaimed that the subject had been found. Peppy brought up a visual to find Metaknight hauling an unconscious Kirby on his shoulders. He was headed toward a wooded field where several Waddle Dees were watching. MK got to the edge of the forest and put Kirby down. Doing so, he addressed the Waddle Dees.
MK: “Did you bring the King here like I asked?”
Waddle Dee: “Yes sir. He is still unconscious, but he is safe here. Till this part of the world is destroyed.”
MK: “HMPH….A lot of good this is doing us. We might as well be in the middle of an open field with targets on our heads.
As he said this, he heard the noise of a ship. He turned around with sword ready to see the Great Fox landing. The ramp was lowered and Peppy came running out.
Peppy: “YOU THERE! Where is Kirby?”
MK: “You blind? Right here, out cold like our king.”
Peppy: “OH well…I’m Peppy of the Star Fox Team. Fox McCloud has sent me here to get you all out of this planet. It is about to be destroyed.”
MK: “Ya think? Here help me drag Kirby inside. Waddle Dees, bring the King in here as well.”
Peppy: “Are you always this nice?”
MK: “Pretty much….got a problem with it?”

As the battle over Pop Star waged on, The Destroyer flew around at break-neck speeds blasting energy at the Arwings. Barely keeping up, Fox, Falco, Krystal, and Slippy were shooting lasers and missiles at the destroyer. Their attack was not working. As they were quickly running out of fuel and ammunition, they broke free and tried a new strategy. The Destroyer stopped in his tracks and began to laugh. Quickly the Arwings surrounded him shooting at him. The Destroyer conjured up a shield which sent the lasers ricocheting back at the Arwings.
Destroyer: “NOW I WILL FINISH IT!”
He began to spin on the spot, shooting a barrage of energy which struck all of the ships. Suddenly, he stopped, concentrated his energy, and created an explosion. The four Arwings were sent flying at the speed of light in opposite directions. Slippy’s Arwing was plummeting straight for Pop Star. Knowing he would surely die, he cried out for help, but the others were sent out of radio distance. He had no clue where they would end up. Prepared to face his demise, he closed his eyes ready for the impact. Suddenly he heard a familiar voice over his intercom.
Peppy: “YOU IDIOT, EJECT YOURSELF BEFORE YOU DIE!”
Trusting what he heard, Slippy hit the eject button on the dashboard of the Arwing. His parachute opened as he witnessed his beloved ship crash onto the ground. He looked around to see the Great Fox speeding his way with the hanger door open. Metaknight stood in the door and threw out a rope to him. He grabbed on and pulling himself inside. As the hanger doors closed he saw a strange sight. There were several small Waddle Dees, Metaknight, and an unconscious King Dedede and Kirby. Slippy ran to the bridge to help Peppy. They engaged the ship’s emergency thrusters. As they were shot from the atmosphere, Metaknight looked out the window as the Destroyer threw a huge blast of energy at Pop Star. It made contact with the planet and exploded. Pop Star had been destroyed.

As they were sent flying in separate directions, Fox, Falco, and Krystal wondered what would happen to them. They wondered if they were going to die. Each of them looked ahead as a different planet approached that they were going to crash into. The Star Fox team had been broken up across the galaxy.
