My chapters are getting to long to double post...i guess that's a good thing though. I tried to post this in the chapter 10 thread, but it said i was like 5000 characters over the limit
Chapter 11: Preparations of War
Far on the other side of the galaxy, four children were fighting a mighty foe. Giygas, the embodiment of evil had arrived on the Mother Planet many years ago. His strength had increased to the extent that it had wasted away his body and mind. He was merely a vapor. As he attacked Ness, Paula, Jeff and Poo, he muttered incoherently, and attacked in very strange manners at random times. Giygas had to be destroyed.
Giygas: “Ness Ness Ness Ness Ness Ness Ness Ness I feel…g…o…o…d.”
Giygas created an explosion of dark energy that hurt all of the children.
Ness: “We all need to attack him. He must have a weakness…he must”
Jeff shot his bottle rockets, which did absolutely no good. Poo used PK Starstorm with little effect. Ness used PK Flash, and Paula used PK Freeze, both were as effective as Poo’s attack.
Giygas: “aargghh ness ness ness ness ness ness”
Ness: “This is hopeless…how can we defeat him. The whole planet depends on us.”
Paula: “Perhaps…if the whole planet prays. Let’s all pray for strength.”
Ness, Poo, and Jeff agreed and began to pray with her.
Paula : “Please, give us strength. Anyone who can hear, help us!”
As Paula kept praying, her prayers reached their family, friends, and strangers. Slowly the whole planet began to pray for the four heroes. The emotion was overwhelming. Giygas began to weaken as the prayers became more bountiful. Ness began to pray earnestly with Paula, and the vapor that once was Giygas disappeared into a small speck. Giygas was destroyed.
Ness: “We did it gang. The whole planet helped. I can’t believe this is finally over. Let’s go home.”
Ness opened up a portal, and the four of them stepped into it to be transported home. As the portal closed, a cloaked figure emerged from the shadows. He stood there observing the scene and noticed a small speck of vapor. As he watched this small vapor, he sensed evil that could rival his own. Albeit not quite as powerful, the amount of power in that small speck made him laugh.
Destroyer: “Oh Giygas, You have been called the embodiment of evil, yet you have been defeated by a group of children. I am here to offer you hope. I gift you your power, body and mind back.”
The Destroyer lifted his hand towards what was left of Giygas. Dark energy began to collect around the vapor. As more energy collected, Giygas’ original body began to take shape till complete. Giygas stood before the Destroyer. He had pure white skin, a pair of antennae, long waving arm and legs. Giygas gathered the evil energy he once had back into his body. He gazed upon the Destroyer. Obviously this was an entity with vast evil powers equal to his own. Gigyas then addressed the Destroyer.
Giygas: “Thank you, To what do I owe this great service.”
Destroyer: “That is simple. Help me destroy the planets. You have all of the power you had in your vapor form, but I have given you a guard against your body and mind. It shall never fade again.”
As Giygas began to laugh menacingly, The Destroyer faded into the darkness. Giygas knew exactly what he would do. He would destroy this place, Explore the galaxy, then come back to personally cause Ness’ demise unless his newly found ally was to do it first. He flew into the sky and gathered energy into a beam. He shot the beam towards the region where he had fought ness. The entire area exploded leaving a giant crater. Giygas gloated in his power, his body, and his mind as he flew off into the stars.

As Falco finished telling of the Star Fox team’s encounter with the Destroyer, Marth looked even more concerned.
Marth: “So…the puppet we’ve been seeing around here is in leagues with this Destroyer?”
Falco: “Yeah exactly as I’ve said.”
Marth: “Hmm…follow me, we’re having a meeting of lords.”
Marth led Falco down a hall in the castle. The place was swarming with armored knights. They then entered a room unlike Falco had ever seen. All around them were trophies, jewels, and momentos from past battles. Falco observed everything, but most notable was a small chest on top of a pedestal. Marth noticed Falco’s attention and explained as he opened the chest.
Marth: “This here is our most prized possession.”
Falco peered into the chest to find a large red stone sitting upon a satin pillow. The stone resembled a large ruby, but he could see what appeared to be slight movement from within, but stopped as quickly as it was seen.
Falco: “What exactly is it?”
Marth: “It’s one of the Fire Emblems. This one here holds an evil god at bay. Ike wanted it destroyed, but Roy and I were afraid that something dangerous could happen if we didn’t dispose of it properly. I know leaving it here is risky, but will all the security we have, only a complete madman would chance it.”
Falco: “You said ONE of the fire emblems? Wait a minute…who the hell is Ike?”
Marth: “OH sorry, Ike is one of the lords you’re about to meet. And yes I did say one of the fire emblems. The other resides in Roy’s sword which is why his sword can burst into flame without magic.”
Marth closed the chest and walked over to a tapestry hanging on the wall. He pulled it aside to reveal an iron door. He knocked three times upon the door. Suddenly a section of the door slid aside to reveal a helmet. The man in the helmet peered out at Marth then promptly opened the door to another room.
Falco: “Wow that’s original”
Marth shot Falco a look of disdain but decided to ignore the snide remark. Marth and Falco both entered the dark room. There was a circular table made of stone in the center of the room. Several tapestries were moving from the wind issuing out of the solitary window. Three figures emerged from the darkness.
Marth: “Ah Falco, you already know Roy, but the one in the middle is Lyn, and the one on the left is Ike.”
Roy: “FALCO?!!? What are you doing here?”
Marth: “All in due time…..now where is Micaiah?”
Ike inclined his head towards the window in the back. As they looked in the direction, Micaiah was standing at the window with a small bird perched on her hand. She was petting the bird as she gazed at it. She then lifted her hand and let the bird fly out of the window. As Falco looked at her, he suddenly became slightly nervous. She turned around in surprise to see the entire group looking in her direction.
Micaiah: “Oh I’m sorry, I must have not been paying attention. Hey Marth! Umm…who are you?”
Falco: “I’m Falco Lombardi, ace pilot of the Star Fox team.”
Miciaiah: “Oh, well it’s very nice to meet you.”
She walked over to the group and stood between Falco and Roy. Ike and Lyn began to whisper as she did so.
Marth: “Ok enough! We need to go ahead and start this meeting of the Lords of the land. Ike, is there any intelligence from the enemy camp?”
Ike: “Well, as you all know, I sent a few of my men out to survey Black Knights camp. They are growing in vast numbers. I’m not sure exactly how many he currently has, but their numbers must be in the thousands. Also, the puppet seems to be keeping a close watch on their training and recruitment. My men noted one mysterious thing. There is a soldier amongst them who seems to be without a body. They claim that when the sun hits him, you can see into his helmet, to reveal it to be an empty shell. This must be some dark magic of the puppet. As I told you last meeting, he has been observed using bursts of magic on people and objects.”
Roy: “Wait…so you are saying there is a suit of armor acting on its own”
Ike: “Exactly.”
Lyn: “What does this mean exactly?”
Marth: “It means that we must act with haste. I’m sure the Black Knight has been watching the puppet more closely than he might realize. If there is anyway the Black Knight can get his hands on that power he will do so. Then we will have an even larger problem. Falco knows first hand of this power.”
The group looked at Falco. He began to re-tell the story of the Destroyer’s battle. His tale heightened the sense of urgency in the room. They all began mutter amongst themselves.
Micaiah: “Well, I say we fight.”
Roy: “WHAT? We haven’t even built up an army to match that.”
Ike: “We might not need to if we can strike quickly, but even so. I’m not sure attacking so soon would be a good idea.”
Falco: “Well I think it’s a great idea! If the Destroyer can give these guys powers, how can we be sure that Geno won’t give this Black Knight power as well? Besides, I have quite a few weapons in my Arwing, I’ll just need to run and get them.”
Micaiah smiled at his agreement, while the others muttered amongst themselves.
Lyn: “What makes you think we can win?”
Micaiah: “Well if we can attack before Geno can create another armor, and can give the Black Knight powers, I think we’ll have a chance. As Falco said, Geno was sent away form their battle. Obviously the Destroyer knows that they are a lot weaker.”
Ike: “I’m not sure he’s that weak. He completely destroyed group of men with one blast.”
Marth: “He’s got a point you know.”
Falco: “Well, if we wait longer, they will just get stronger and stronger. By then the Black Knight could have figured out a way to get powers from Geno, or they may have created a whole army of those walking suits.”
Roy: “Good point. I say we fight.”
Ike: “Agreed.”
Lyn: “Well, I’m not going to disagree with everyone else”
Marth: “Ok everyone, it’s decided. Take a few minutes to call your best fighters and compose yourself. Falco, go get those weapons you spoke of. We’ll meet in front of the castle in 10 minutes.”
As they filed out of the secret room, each went in a their own direction. Roy polished his fire emblem as he walked down the western passage, Ike was swinging his massive sword as he went north. Lyn and Micaiah went to the north, and Marth ushered Falco back to his Arwing. When they reached the Arwing, Marth went towards his quarters to prepare. Falco kicked open the hatch on his Arwing and began to pull out and test his weaponry. His primary and second blaster both worked perfectly fine. His reflector was a little slow but with some tinkering it was perfectly functional. He placed a smart bomb in the inside pocket of his jacket. As he bent over to get his bazooka, he heard footsteps from behind him. He turned around to see Micaiah.
Micaiah: “Um..thanks for helping me out back there. Sometimes those guys like to take the easy way out and do nothing. I really appreciate it.”
Falco: “Oh that’s no problem, I’m just trying to help you all, especially since I just broke the wall and crashed here.”
Falco began to laugh, but Micaiah walked over and softly kissed him on the cheek. She then smiled at him and ran off to finish preparing for the battle. Falco stood there with his hand to his face staring at her till she disapaeared around a corner. He shook himself back to his senses and pulled out his faithful bazooka. He hoisted it on his shoulder and began walking towards the entrance. As he reached the stairs, he saw Ike, Roy and Lyn were waiting. A group of a thousand men were standing below them on the ground in full armor. Some held arrows, others axes or swords. As Falco joined the trio, Marth and Micaiah came from opposite ends of the castle. Marth stood before the crowd of soldiers and addressed them.
Marth: “Men, the task that lies before us is very difficult. I fear most of you will not be returning. But due to your actions, your families, your children will live on. Prepare my brothers. We go to war!”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Miles away, Ike’s men were scouting on the cliff above the Black Knight’s camp. Geno was floating beside the Black Knight in deep conversation.
Geno: “Your numbers impress me.”
BK: “Only thanks to you. I’ve asked several times, but you will not give me a straight answer. Why are you helping me?”
Geno: “I’m going to be perfectly honest with you. It is my master’s desire to destroy the planets. He has given myself and another named Ridley favor. I’m sure he has most likely found others. You have a desire for destruction, and you have found my favor. Surely if I favor you, my master shall as well.”
BK: “I see.”
Geno: “You have trained with me and proven yourself. I would like to give you a gift.”
BK: “You are too kind. I do not deserve any gift.”
Geno: “My master has given me more power than I could use. I gift you some of my power.”
Geno lifted his hand towards the Black Knight and blasted him with energy. The Black Knight fell to the ground screaming in pain. He then began to float in midair shrouded by darkness. A minute passed of agony, but eventually the Black Knight stood upright. There was a red glow from his helmet. He looked around at his surroundings and blasted a nearby tree with dark energy. The noise had alerted all of Ike’s men. As they observed the Black Knight blast away a tree, the ground beneath their combined weight began to crumble. A large rock fell down the ravine. As it fell, it alerted the Black Knight to a presence at the top of the cliff. Knowing he had not sent men there, he shot a blast of energy towards the top of the ridge. Ike’s men scattered attempting to flee, but the Black Knight’s new power made him faster. He flew up towards them and landed in front of the soliders. It only took one glance to see that the men bore the seal of Ike on their armor. With a scream of rage he picked up his axe and began to charge at them. The added energy from Geno made him stronger and faster. Quickly, the Black Knight disposed of Ike’s Men and dragged a body down to the camp. As he landed with the fallen soldier’s body in his grasp, he turned to his men and Geno.
BK: “We have a small problem. There have been men spying on us from above. The enemy must know about us as this soldier bears the seal of that retched Ike. They may even know about you, Geno.”
Geno: “In that case, I shall now leave you. You have trained well with me, I have given you power. You should be able to destroy them.”
BK: “Thank you great teacher. We shall not fail you.”
As Geno flew off into space, the Black Knight lifted his hands toward a pile of armor. Instantly, five more living suits of armor emerged and stood around the Black Knight. He turned to his vast army and proclaimed his wishes.
BK: “Too long have we been defeated. The enemy knows of us. If we strike now, we will win. TO WAR!!!!.”
