Chapter 15: Power Failure
The three Ganondorfs stood shoulder to shoulder facing The Destroyer who’s anger was fueled by their rejection. His dark energy surged sending a small wave of darkness across the area. This had no effect on the Ganondorfs whatsoever. Ganondorf of the Twilight realm and Ganondorf of the Seas unsheathed their swords. Ganondorf of time raised his hand as the Triforce of power began to glow.
Destroyer: “This is your last warning. Join me or Die!”
GT: “NEVER”
Suddenly, the trio of Ganondorfs rushed towards the destroyer. Acting quickly, the destroyer shot energy blasts from his palms. Ganondorf of the Seas jumped over the blasts, as Ganondrof of the Twilight Realm used his magical sword to slash the energy into nothing. The Samurai swords of Ganondorf of the the Seas were swingly madly at the destroyer who was dodging them as quickly as they came his way. Ganondorf of Time was gathering energy which exploded into hundreds of dark matter arrows. A couple penetrated the destroyers cloak as Ganondorf of the Twilight Realm used his Warlock Punch into the head of the destroyer. For the first time in a decade, the Destroyer finally had a true match. Standing up to face the Ganondorfs, he began to laugh.
Destroyer: “Well well, I finally have a decent match of skill. You have earned this honor.”
The Destroyer removed his cloak. The ganondorfs observed him as he tossed the cloak to the side of the room. The Destroyer appeared to be a young human. Many of his features were shrouded by the dark aura emanating from his flesh. His eyes glowed a deep red, his skin was pale as a ghost. He smiled as he pulled a large sword from behind his back. This sword was unlike any others ever seen. It was made of a metal so dense, that nothing could break it. Above the hilt, there was an energy core that glowed a deep red. The sword itself emanated energy.
Destroyer: “And now, the fight begins.”
Before the Ganondorfs knew what had happened, The destroyer ran towards them, disappeared, and reappeared above them. He slammed down his mighty sword to cause a rip in the stone floor. The force of the sword connecting sent red energy around him as both an attack and a guard. The Ganondorfs scattered. Ganondorf of Time began to shoot dark matter at the Destroyer, while Ganondorf of the Twilight Realm and Ganonodorf of the Seas began to fight close combat with the swords. The blades struck each other multiple times before Ganondorf of the Seas used his two samurai swords to block the attack from the destroyer. The Destroyer smiled as he sent a blast of red energy from the tip of the blade into Ganondorf of the Seas’ body. He flew across the room and slammed against the wall. He then slumped over as blood began to flow from his mouth. Ganondorf of the Seas was dead.
The sudden death of their comrade, The remaining two Ganondorfs began to fight with more vigor. The Destroyer, and Ganondorf of the Twilight Realm’s swords clashed several times, causing random blasts of energy to be sent flying across the room. Ganondorf of Time began gathering energy once more for a final arrow attack. The Destroyer and Ganondorf of Time were now circling the room clashing swords and taking quick slices at the other. Occassionally they would lock blades, break free and run at each other. Ganondorf of Time released his barrage of arrows. Several of them struck the Destroyer who then turned toward Ganondorf of time. Suddenly, the destroyer vanished and re-appeared behind Ganonodorf of time. The destroyer struck him with the blade and sent him flying across the room. Ganondorf of the Twilight Realm also used his powers to disappear and reappeard beside the destroyer. Stabbing his sword into the Destroyer’s foot, he gave him a Warlock Punch to the face.
Ganondorf of Time stood up from his attack. As he stood, his triforce began to glow. Suddenly, he was shrowded by a dark cloud. Laughing could be heard as the cloud grew. Suddenly, Ganon appeared wielding his two sais. He charged for the Destroyer and struck him with his tail. The destroyer was sent flying across the room but used his power to stop. He began laughing madly.
Destroyer: “So, you want to play that way?”
The Destroyer began pulsing energy around his body……The energy gathered around him similar to the cloud around Ganon. The energy gathering caused a slight vacuum effect. The change of atmosphere caused lighting to strike around the room and thunder to be heard. Out of the shroud of energy emerged a large red clawed foot, and following it was a half dragon beast. He was 25 foot tall with a wing span of 20 feet. The sword he was carrying also grew in proportion.
Ganondorf: “Oh no”
Ganon: “What are you?”
Destroyer: “My name is Zankor, the dragon god of destruction. I feed off the fear, the turmoil, the devastation, and the evil of the cosmos. I have been traveling the cosmos spreading destruction under the name, The Destroyer. You have forced me to reveal myself, and thus my power. There shall be no more mercy.”
Zankor spread open his wings and roared. His voice caused the temple to quake. As he flew towards Ganon, Ganondorf of the Twilight Realm transformed into Beast Ganon. Zankor began swinging his sword at Ganon, but Beast Ganon head butted him in the side, his horns stabbed deep into Zankor’s ribs. Screaming in pain, he positioned the sword and began to blast the powerful energy out of it. Beast Ganon dodged all of the blasts. Ganon began to run at Zankor and stabbed him with his sais. Zankor fell to the ground and kicked Ganon high into the air. He then breathed in and gathered energy in his mouth which he blasted at ganon sending him flying into the distance. Beast Ganon began to rampage towards Zankor once more, but Zankor had spotted him and sent a blast of energy his way. Beast Ganon hit the opposite wall and fell to the earth. In his unconscious state, he transformed back into Ganon. As Zankor observed him, he lifted his sword and began to stab ganondorf. The blade had pierced him slightly when Ganon returned in full force.
Ganon shoved both sais into Zankor’s shoulders and followed with a headbutt slam into a wall. Ganon jumped into the air for a return strike, but Zankor sliced Ganon’s tail off. As Ganon was writhing with pain, Zankor began to slash and claw him. Ganon fell over and Zankor slammed the tip of his sword deep into Ganon’s heart. Ganon stirred and became still. Death swept through his body as Zankor removed his blade. Zankor then turned towards the last remaining Ganondorf and began speaking.
Zankor: “You miserable pigs. You honestly thought you could defeat me? I warned you that your demise would be the price for your insolence. And now I will unleash the power of this blade. Destruction Blade, Wield to me your power! The power to banish my enemy, use his spirit to add to your power, and banish him to the shadows!”
Ganondorf, still bleeding heavily from his wound looked up at Zankor in fear as he raised the Destruction Blade high into the air. Zankor held the blade up in the air, but nothing happened.
Zankor: “Why in the hell? Why won’t this blade wield its power to me? BANISH HIM, DESTRUCTION BLADE!”
The blade remained motionless. Zankor became furious and decided to finish this himself without the blades help, but while Zankor was looking at the sword, Ganondorf used the power of twilight to disappear.

Samus’ Spaceship was descending quickly into her planet. Surely Ridley hadn’t risen from the grave, samus thought. She knew the exact location of his bones. The ship was speeding along towards the ancient ruins. Nana was in the back of the craft sitting with the topis, Popo however was in a sparring match against the Polar Bear.
Popo: “Is that the best you’ve got big guy? You couldn’t hit a..”
Popo didn’t get a chance to finish his sentence, because the bear had socked him square in the jaw. Popo stood up, rubbing his face and decided to call the whole thing off. As he made his was towards the front of the ship, Nana stood up from the Topi’s and ran off after him. They both got to the front of the ship and sat down in a chair.
Nana: “So how far away is this place?”
Samus: “Oh not very far. I’m putting this on auto pilot, I’ll be right back…..can’t be too safe.”
She headed into a compartment near the back of the ship, and emerged a few minutes later. She was now wearing her full power suit. As she sat back down in the pilot’s chair, she checked her scanner again. Faint as they were, it was still picking up the readings.
After several more minutes, they arrived at the ruins. Samus landed her ship and lowered the ramp. She walked out with her arm cannon charged. The place was dark and gloomy. Despite their fear, the Ice Climbers followed, but ensured that the topis and polar bear remained in the ship. Samus began to scan the area for the readings. The area was silent. Every step sounded through the area. Samus approached the area where her former enemy’s bones had laid. Just as she expected, the bones were no longer there, only a dark spot where the decay had laid on the stone floor.
Samus: “d**n…..it IS Ridley.”
Popo: “Hey Samus, what’s this thing?”
Samus turned around to see two glowing bombs connected by an energy beam. Before she could yell at them to get out, a third bomb was thrown causing an energy barrier around both Ice Climbers. Samus quickly began to scan the area with her infrared visor, but was met with an explosion in her face. She fell to the ground as the Bounty Hunter, Sylux jumped from a nearby ledge.
Sylux: “I knew it would work.”
Samus: “Sylux, what is the meaning of this?”
Sylux: “Well, quite simply put, i picked up a massive reading of power on my scanners and decided the best way to destroy you would be to wait here and set a trap. Thankfully for you, your little Eskimo buddies fell into it first. No matter….it gives me the pleasure of destroying you myself.”
Samus began to jump up, but Sylux kicked her back down. She slid across the ground for several feet before regaining herself.
Samus: “I see you’ve done some modifications to your weaponry and power suit.”
Sylux: “A good bounty hunter stays on top of his game.”
With that said, Sylux charged at Samus with full force. Samus sent out a few missiles which were dodged or blocked by other explosives from Sylux’s arsenal. The battle waged on as punches and kicks were being tossed and blocked. The two seemed to be at a stale mate. Meanwhile, the Ice climbers were quickly thinking of options before they exploded. Suddenly, the solution hit them.
Sylux and Samus were fighting away with explosives and physical combat, when Samus lowered herself and served Sylux a severe uppercut. He flew into the air, but straightened out and landed on his feet. At this point he had as much of this battle as he could stand. Realizing his best chance at winning, Sylux pulled out the Shock Coil and shot the stream of protons at Samus. The Shock coil immediately hit her, and caused her suit to malfunction while in it’s beam. She was constantly receiving an electric shock and was surely to die if this kept. Suddenly, Samus heard the voices of Nana and Popo as they were screaming. Sylux turned around in time to see the Ice Climbers in the air. One delivered a hammer blow to the chest and the other to the face. Sylux was sent flying and the Shock Coil slid to the side. Popo quickly jumped over and smashed the weapon, and Nana followed Sylux for some continued pain. Both were pounding away at Sylux with their hammers and tossing ice shards till Samus regained her strength. Nana and Popo jumped out of the way as Samus sent her Charge Shot straight for Sylux. The blast hit him perfectly. His body arched as fell into the chasm below.
Nana: “Is he gone?”
Samus: “Don’t count on it. Thanks guys, I’d be dead without you.”
Popo: “Don’t mention it, you saved us, so we’re even.”
Nana: “Well….now what?”
Samus: “I say we get out of here and see if we can’t find Ridley, or the one who had risen him from the grave.”
Popo: “Sounds good, but do you have any ideas where that may be.”
Samus: “Well I’m getting similar readings in two places. One is heading South of the galaxy, and the another stronger reading is in the Land of Fire. That one’s closer, why don’t we go there and see. That one seems more stable. Perhaps that’s Ridley, and we can stop him before he destroys another planet.
Popo: “Great idea, let’s get going.”
Samus: “Um…by the way…how did you get out of that energy field.”
Nana: “OH that’s easy, we just used our blizzard attack. It made the area too moist and cold for the bombs to work.”
Samus: “Wow….didn’t know you guys knew so much about that stuff.”

Captain Falcon sat in his pilot chair telling stories to Pichu, Blue, and Pikachu as the rest of the pokemon gang and fox sat in the back. Jigglypuff began to sing but was responded with a tossed shoe because it was making everyone drowsy. Mew was flying around examing everything, but Lucario and Mewtwo sat together in meditation. Fox’s mind kept going back and forth worrying about Krystal, Falco, and Slippy. Deciding to attempt to get it out of his mind, he walked over to Lucario and Mewto.
Fox: “Hey guys, what’s going on?”
Lucario: “We are attempting to locate those shining orbs that few from the rift.”
Fox: “OH, I completely forgot about those. Any luck?”
Lucario: “My Aura can only see so far, but I know the general trajectory. Mewtwo is scanning the areas for clues.”
Mewtwo: “So far we know they are headed in completely separate areas. We are guessing one may be heading towards Hyrule, but that’s as far as we know. And we’re not even sure of that yet.”
Fox: “What do you think they could be?”
Mewtwo: “We don’t know for sure….but they do seem to have life readings….whatever is in those orbs is alive.”
